I'm not having a go at anyone, but I don't get it, when Grealish came on, why was George taken off ?
Last week, when Grealish came on, George was moved to the right, and it worked well .
Like I said, not having a go at Johnson, think in the long run, he will be ok, but at this time, George, offers much more of a goal threat,it worked well last week, just don't get it !

I am guessing Moyes is managing his minutes. Game in midweek coming up, and with a winnable home game at the weekend, I am sure Moyes will want him involved in both. We have a small squad. This is the reality of that small squad.

13 Sep 2026 10:49:56
Yep, our defence is rock solid. Good performances from JB and Myko, who got motm. Next two games, very important time for Hackney and Dibling to shine midweek.

13 Sep 2026 09:22:23
I don't understand George off for Grealish. Should have been Johnson off, George to RW. Need a striker. Swap Johnson back for McNeil.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Sep 2026 11:10:27
McNeil isn't a striker mate.

13 Sep 2026 12:57:24
Nor is Johnson by the looks of things.

13 Sep 2026 07:59:38
Happy where we are 7th and unbeaten, just goes to show you can spend shed loads on money on players as Spurs have done and still have a crock of xxxx for a Team, next two games very winnable.

I'm pleased where we are, GB, and the fight in the team. I also like how we defend and the midfield is pretty decent.

I do feel that our lack of firepower upfront will get exposed soon enough. I've seen no evidence from Johnson as yet that he can play as a cf.

{Ed025's Note - its the same old problem Benny..

13 Sep 2026 09:24:01
Seen no evidence so far that Johnson is a player.

13 Sep 2026 09:30:59
Johnson is a terrible footballer. I wouldn't play him. I would rather play with 10 players. That was a bad move getting him, and Barry wouldn't get a game in the Conference League. The guy is one of the worst footballers I've ever seen.

We need to get to January as quick as we can to try to buy some players. Having him up top is pointless, it shows you how bad the Premier League is if a team like ours can pick up points because we are toothless.

{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that Dino..

13 Sep 2026 09:36:11
I've seen the evidence that Johnson is crap. Who signs these players? I wouldn't swap him for a packet of sandwiches, never mind swap him for a player. We are a joke, and tbh we are hard to watch. I am going to the Ipswich game and then Liverpool, and that's it until they sign some players.

Sick of going to Hilldickenson and spending good money watching pure crap football and football players. Most games we hardly have a shot at the net, it's boring.

13 Sep 2026 09:40:49
I thought the midfield yesterday was shocking. Garner is nowhere near ready to play in the first yet. He is off the pace, not tracking his men. He let Fernandes go in the first half, which should have seen a goal for Spurs. Kdh, for some reason, couldn't shoot, powderpuff attempts instead of with power, and his passing was completely the opposite. Too many of his passes were hit with power and behind the man. Armstrong was the best of the three, but he ran in blind alleys too often.

I thought Moyes was insane for taking off George and leaving Johnson on. George was playing really well and Johnson was having a stinker. Even Dibbling would have been a better option, as he can hold the ball up like Jack, who I thought started to get us control of the game.

Jack and Dibbling in these types of games are so important. They get time on the ball and frustrate the opposition, but they also get niggly fouls that allow you to get up the pitch. It's why City camp inside the opposition half most of the game. When you have a team like Spurs with the players they have, it's so important you start to take the sting out of the game. For the first 20 mins all we did was hoof the ball up, which allowed them to get back on the attack.

Anyway I ain't totally moaning because it was still a good point, but they are a poor team and we should have got a better result. Also, it was nice to have a good RB in the side. He is still a bit rusty but he looks like a steal at £4.2m.

13 Sep 2026 13:07:07
Garner only at 80% ran that midfield against Spurs.

13 Sep 2026 13:11:51
Haha Dino, in pure meltdown mode!

It ain't all bad, Dino. We're undefeated after 5 games and averaged 2 goals per game at home so far. Also played United at home and a Spurs side that's spent 350m quid.

2 more points out of those games than last year.

I'm really hopeful for this season. Take another look at the glass and see if you can find the bit that's half full.

13 Sep 2026 16:46:54
Feel the comments on Barry being crap are extreme and a little unjust. He has had 1 full season and is young. He is essentially playing up top on his own. He isn't crap, and I think he will continue to improve. For that matter, nor is Johnson.
I think we need to get real. With the summer spending, I doubt we will get European football, but we won't get relegated either.

More of the same, I think, which isn't going to please the fanbase, but until we can sort out our finances and start drawing revenue from the stadium, it could be a couple of more seasons before we are the real deal (just being realistic) .

13 Sep 2026 20:08:14
What will please the fan base, Witty? We could get to Christmas undefeated and there will be some that find something to moan about.

13 Sep 2026 00:00:33
Getting a point away in London is nothing to be scoffed at, but it’s the way we go about it that frustrates me.

Soak up pressure, barely hanging on at times and make a Spurs side derived of confidence look alright. You wonder if we played with the ball on the ground and had Grealish on earlier, would we have taken more than a point…

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Sep 2026 09:34:12
I don't mind the soaking up the pressure part. I expected Spurs to throw everything at us at home to try and get their first win. Thought we looked well organised and sharp in defence. At 60 minutes, the game was there for the taking. I'd have taken off Barry and Johnson myself, and put Grealish and Alcaraz on.
Anyone know what's up with Rohl?

12 Sep 2026 22:47:32
Didn't see the game. So did we go for a draw or did Spurs give us a game?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Sep 2026 11:30:16
Spurs and Everton bored everyone inside the ground and the millions watching across the world to absolute death yesterday.

12 Sep 2026 21:09:41
Can someone tell me why we stopped playing football and resorted to hoofball?

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Sep 2026 21:19:53
Especially when JP's kicking was as bad as it was!

13 Sep 2026 00:12:53
Well, the good is that we got an away point and we did not let them score. Also, we are unbeaten after four games.
The bad is that we did not score, and I fell asleep twice.
The same lame tactic that we employed at the end of last season, let the opposition control the ball and the game, treat them like they are Barcelona and just boot the ball aimlessly back to them, especially in the first half.

I just believe that we can and should play better.

12 Sep 2026 21:07:00
Moyes post-press conference: "Tottenham stopped us getting Europe". No, you bottled it against Sunderland and you said if something was riding on the game with Spurs, you'd have approached it differently.

Criminal.

It is as if these fools don't realise everything is recorded on the internet these days.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Sep 2026 08:13:20
If you looked at his press conference, he said our record isn't good. He had a plan, and that plan only let Spurs have one shot on target in 90 mins. He did his part in the tactics. Players didn't do theirs in attack.

13 Sep 2026 19:55:39
This has nothing to do with what I initially posted.

Moyes said Tottenham stopped us getting Europe. They didn't. We already spaffed it at home to Sunderland, who before the game were 2 places below us in the table.

12 Sep 2026 18:45:30
55 minutes in, Spurs are here for the taking fs show some balls.

12 Sep 2026 18:58:04
Grealish on.

2 options: take Johnson off, who looks poor and has had no impact and is likely to make none, but more experienced.

Take George off, who scares defenders to death and can make a moment out of nothing.

Moyes will always go with the more negative option.

12 Sep 2026 19:39:13
Another negative approach from Moyes, yes defensively strong, but we will never win games playing like that.

12 Sep 2026 20:39:29
Made me sick when 5 mins after the Grealish George sub, he then takes off Johnson and puts Hackeny Rm. Disgusting management. We had the game in full control as Johnson missed that big chance, then we didn't touch the ball again for final 25 mins, and invited Spurs on.

12 Sep 2026 19:25:19
Stevie Wonder could have scored Johnson's chance.

12 Sep 2026 22:04:51
Verrrrry superstitious.

12 Sep 2026 23:30:27
I thought Johnson was missing most of the game. He kept standing near Barry in the centre instead of the wing.

12 Sep 2026 23:51:16
Moyes out!
Subs cost us the 3 points yet again Dave and his negativity he's clueless.

13 Sep 2026 07:46:18
As much as I want a change in manager, as much as this was negative football, as much as his substitutions are sometimes baffling & as much as individual players were poor. We are still unbeaten & not many predicted that after four matches.
There are four, maybe five players who are starting this season who didn't last season. That takes time to bed in properly. We all know that we have the players to play a better brand of football, but we won't get that under Moyes.

Let's see who comes in January & whether the manager gets a new contract.
Personally, after the past 6 or 7 seasons, I'll take a boring upper mid table finish without looking over our shoulders. The ambitions of tfg will unfold over the next 9 months & that's the time to have a go.

UTFT NSNO. ? ? ?

12 Sep 2026 18:42:16
Don't understand why he hasn't started with Hackney, get him on the pitch and we will score.

12 Sep 2026 18:15:09
At last Brennan Johnson is having a good game for Spurs.

Agree3 Disagree0

12 Sep 2026 18:29:05
Mykolenko is having a blinder for Spurs too!!

12 Sep 2026 19:30:14
Were we watching different games? I thought Myko did his job very well today.

12 Sep 2026 19:38:03
So did I, DJs.

12 Sep 2026 19:43:55
Thought he was really weak first half.

12 Sep 2026 20:01:10
He's a terrible defender, who is caught out of position so many times, but on a plus side, having a guy who can play RB properly gives the team proper balance.

12 Sep 2026 20:04:09
Thought Myk was good throughout.

12 Sep 2026 20:31:59
He was all over the place in the first 20 minutes and couldn't really get to grips with Savio. To be fair, though, every player was the same as we sat far too deep and invited the pressure in the opening stages. He grew into the game, though.

12 Sep 2026 23:01:22
Course he is, but this lot have an agenda.

13 Sep 2026 05:25:33
Man of the match.
