Any truth in these rumours that Rafa is set to join Fenerbache?

{Ed0666's Note - I’ve just spent the last 3 days eulogizing about him and advocating his move to Everton and now you tell me this???!! What a waste of my time.

1.) 05 Jun 2021 18:02:56
I though Martinez was going to Fenerbache.

2.) 05 Jun 2021 23:05:31
Maybe they're both going for a holiday. Are they on the green list?

3.) 06 Jun 2021 07:52:17
They will be fine bud if they say there second nationality is German then they don't have to self isolate and if they say they are related to Gove they won't have to self isolate if they take a test daily ha ha.

18 May 2021 00:03:42
Against Wolves, it won't happen, but I want to see some of the kids play. Fans will be back and I expect them to give dogs abuse to those players. I don't want to see anyone complain ever again about the fans being the reason we struggled to win games when we've had no fans all season and have the worst home record ever.

If Carlo wants the fans to actually appreciate the team and hopefully allow us to play without constant anger from the fans. Then the likes of Onyango (if he's fit, don't think he is) , Nkounkou, Warrington, Broadhead etc or whoever, should play. Not saying give the game to the Under 23's. Keep Pickford, Godfrey, Doucoure, James and DCL in the team and put some youngsters around them. The season is finished now so why not, get the fans onboard for the last 2 games and go again next season.

1.) 18 May 2021 09:40:58
Nkounkou should be in in front of Seamus, the kids got energy to burn and we have seen how he likes to attack. He is our future Seamus god love him is our past.
Oh and before people say any of the players Swans named are too young. Remember we lost to a single goal scored by a seventeen year old.

2.) 18 May 2021 11:20:53
Not sure about putting a left back in front of a right back but if there is an right sided option from the youth setup then I don't see why not give them a go. Nkounkou if he does play would be better either at LM or LB with Digne playing the other position. Personally I would go Digne LB with Nkounko LM if you wanted to play both players.

3.) 18 May 2021 11:21:01
I think warrington is a good shout. Give someone with fire in belly and chance to impress a go. There's a 17yr old striker coming through too. Think he's called Charlie whittiker. Let em loose on wolves.

4.) 18 May 2021 17:14:20
Just move Richy over to the right.

5.) 18 May 2021 21:20:19
. right hand side of the bench next to big dunc to lecture him on where he needs to improve and why he's benched.

12 Apr 2021 00:50:38
So Mina is looking to leave. He's a weird one isn't he, sometimes I watch him and think "what a machine he is" other times I think "oh he's Heitinga on steroids". Wouldn't be disappointed if he left. I think most important players to keep in the summer are Godfrey, Digne, Richarlison and DCL.

Speaking of which, Ed 002, do you expect Moise Kean to leave in the summer?

{Ed002's Note - I think Kean will get the move he wants in the summer.}

1.) 12 Apr 2021 22:19:37
Ed 02 how much do u think we'd get for kean. Could you see going for Daryl dike lad on loan at barnsley.

{Ed002's Note - I would think Everton would look for about €30M. Not so sure about DD.}

2.) 12 Apr 2021 23:04:58
Thanks ed thought they might ask for some more for kean. think next striker needs be someone from lower league somone hungry there are some good players out there in championship.

People need to understand that until certain people leave the club. It won't matter who the manager is, we will continue to descend the table and eventually the leagues.

1.) 15 Jan 2022 23:46:08
Who are these people that need to leave Swan?

2.) 16 Jan 2022 00:05:35
Fan for over 40 yrs and Rafa has been nothing short of a wrecking ball in 6 months. Blame players blame the board but on the pitch is where it matters. The board don't work with these players day in day out. He was walking on thin ice from day one and if results had of been different we wouldn't be posting these mags, fact is its an huge failure hiring him and glad to see the back of him tbh.

3.) 16 Jan 2022 02:10:23
Anyone who was here from after Moyes left until now. Especially someone who sold the club to remain as chairman and still be paid by the club.

As for our owner, what a mistake that was. But at least we might be getting a stadium.

4.) 16 Jan 2022 05:54:07
I am normally with you Swan, to some extent still am regarding he whose nane should not be mentioned. However, I believe that of late he has tried but not been listened to. He didn't want Benitez apparently. What/ who is this interference 002 refers to? It can't all be the toy maker.

15 Jan 2022 16:06:08
At this point. I've been very vocal about avoiding emotional appointments.

But sadly, the board will remain even if Benitez goes. So I'd welcome someone like Duncan or Rooney at this stage.

13 Jan 2022 17:18:06
Let's say hypothetically Rafa was sacked.

Would you trust Moshiri to get the right man next time around?

Serious and simple question

Please don't respond with "but he's got us a stadium". It's not relevant to the question.

1.) 13 Jan 2022 17:27:33
i don't trust anyone in the board anymore.
i would honestly go all out for graham potter. considering around 8 of their starting 11 were already at the club before he joined tells me that he knows how to get the best out of players he has at his disposal while also playing attractive football. and i know our players have been abysmal but we can clearly see its a motivational thing because we know they can play (arsenal game as an example. I honestly think if we get a good centre back and a 2 more midfielders in that our squad could conpete for europe! that's said i mean that abillity wise, cause we've been proven one to many times that these lads are happy settling for mediocrity. I just wonder what or who it takes to get them motivated week in week out!

2.) 13 Jan 2022 17:43:57
I would get swan with Gb as assistant.

3.) 13 Jan 2022 18:07:21
There is no ‘right man’ though. The last 5 years plus have shown us this. One of the apparent ‘worlds best managers’ couldn’t even get a tune out of us. 10th! Plus he had other players at his disposal.
If we keep sacking managers we will get relegated, the history of the premiership has shown us this regarding clubs who have had investment and failed. I understand this question is hypothetically but in all honesty what’s the point. I swear I’m one of the only evertonians that want to see what the boss can do with some of his own transfer windows, and I attend around 3/ 4 plus of our home games a season and i’m an avid evertonian. Our home support is poor (not just under rafa) Our away support is still NOW some of the best support there is out there. I’m as pizzed off as the next fan with this season but putting the whole blame on the boss with what he’s had left to deal with is sad and easy for us fans.
Players are back now, and match fit. He’s been able to add a few new faces this window. Let’s not pretend to sack him and see what he can do with the second half of the season. That’s my opinion on the matter anyway although it’s not a common one.

4.) 13 Jan 2022 18:56:34
Joe, same Potter who has won 1 in 13 games?

I agree with Peter, talks a lot of sense. We've tried 8 managers (including caretakers) , none of whom were classed as a success.

Bobby played the best football but had defensive issues. Carlo had to park 2 buses to grind out lucky wins.

We need to see how the second half of the season goes and decide in the summer if he stays or goes.

5.) 13 Jan 2022 20:02:00
I wouldn’t have faith in us getting the right man and I don’t feel we can attract the right man either

Not even sure who the right man is!

Maybe someone who is a young upcoming manager but there are risks with that if things go wrong early doors

Watched Howard’s way again the other day for the umpteenth time, maybe Rafa and the squad need to sit and watch it, understand what it means to wear the badge, what the club means to the supporters
How those players had each other’s back!
Like when Tarkowski injured Richarlison to see Allan laying one on him!
That passion and attitude is what we miss!

6.) 14 Jan 2022 06:04:59
Same Potter who has more points in last 13 games than Rafa.

I know we have tried 8 different managers. Which one of the others have a worse record than Rafa over the last 13 games? None

To answer Swan. No - I do not trust Moshiri, or the rest of the board rest of the board for that matter to get the right man if we sacked Rafa.

Idon't know the answer. Getting rid of Rafa will get us into deeper FFP trouble as we have given him a ridiculous contract but staying with him, and the poor form he is producing from the team, will see us drop further into a relegation dog fight.

Does anyone honestly see an improvement in the spirit of the side? I see a team who comes out and drops into a defensive/ mistake riddled setup until we fall behind and then Gray, Townsend and Gordon try and pull us out of the mess we (and Rafs's tactics) have got ourselves into

Can someone explain to me what Rafa has done in the last 13 games to make this any better?

7.) 14 Jan 2022 07:29:06
''Would you trust Moshiri to get the right man next time around? ''

8.) 14 Jan 2022 10:57:14
''Can someone explain to me what Rafa has done in the last 13 games to make this any better? ''

Can I get back to you on this one BW? Hmmm it'a a toughy ?.

9.) 14 Jan 2022 13:16:23
In a perfect world what would be the profile of Everton’s next manager? Young up and coming and risk he could turn out to be a Mike Walker or could be a David Moyes and improve the team to showcase his growing reputation. A foreign manager who is unproven in the premier league but doesn’t have negative past because nobody really knows anything about him or a disciplinarian experienced manager who won’t take no nonsense.

10.) 14 Jan 2022 14:38:18
I'll have a bit the disciplinarian✔️ a touch of young and up and coming ✔️ lots of no negative past ✔️. . . and a sh. . load of improve the team✔️ please oh yes please ? ?.

11 Jan 2022 17:03:29
So Doucoure has come out and said we play better with a 3 in midfield.

Well I expect him to be dropped next game or sold to someone like Brentford for daring to question the smartprice Roy Hodgson.

1.) 11 Jan 2022 17:39:43
Worse still he might get told he's staying.

2.) 11 Jan 2022 20:38:00

09 Jan 2022 20:00:33
Well it's fair to say Rafa has been a massive failure. Did well at the start, I guess it's true what some fans said about Steve Bruce actually being just as good at Newcastle.

Got rid of our best player and is now getting rid of our current best player because he's very stubborn and clearly left his good tactics back in 2007.

That or agent Rafa is really a thing. Either way, dreadful manager and a dreadful board with a dreadful team for us all to watch.

Rafa Out
Moshiri Out
Kenwright Out.

1.) 09 Jan 2022 20:14:18
Get a grip mate moshiri out the fella has has pumped all sorts into this club to get us fighting and also new ground. I understand the club us run bad he has made mistakes but he only wants what we all want.

2.) 09 Jan 2022 20:18:38
Swan, please tell me you are not calling digne our best player. He's been shocking for 2 years.

3.) 09 Jan 2022 20:21:21
Mr Moshiri out, goodness me I ask you this world has gone Bloody Mad.

4.) 09 Jan 2022 21:37:22
Love the revisionist history with Digne now because he wants out. Same thing happened with Lukaku and Arteta “oh they’ve been awful for years now”

As for Moshiri. Since he joined we’ve actually become worse as a club.

If a man pumps money into improving your house but insists on putting a fancy toilet on the ceiling instead of a regular toilet on the floor. Is that good just because he’s put money into it?

The man could insist we only buy 40 year olds from Sunday league and actively try to relegate us and fans would say “oh good jolly he’s put money into this so we can’t criticise”

Rather be poor and decent, than rich and terrible.

5.) 09 Jan 2022 21:59:47
Swan, in terms of moshiri, criticise away but not going to force him put like we have done with 6 managers and are going to do with rafa too.

He will just stay and milk us with interest on the loans he has given us.

Think a fair few have been criticising digne for a while. Can't remember the last goal or assist he got.

6.) 09 Jan 2022 22:03:08
I have to agree. Kenwright spent so long looking for a buyer who wouldn't just run the club as a business has missed the boat. The successful owners now run a club like they are a business. They are slick with player trading, sponsorship, ambition and at the same time take a chunk of profit. Moshiri uses the club like a train set. No idea how to drive it but still wants to. Pumps a load of money in but runs it so badly that he will never be able to take anything out.

7.) 10 Jan 2022 01:53:38
Just to clarify. Fron the 2020 accounts Everton hsa loans of £350 million due to Bluesky Capital Ltd which is controlled by Mr Moshiri. I can't find any other info on Bluesky on the iniernet. Our accounts say the loans are interest free. The loan is to be repaid at a schedule to be agreed between Everton and Bluesky

On top of that we have borrowed externally against our future TV revenues so we have other loans of £59 million (up 42 million from previous year) These loans we do have to pay interest on

So in total we have loans of over £400 million against a turnover of less than £200m per year before we even start paying wages/ expenses etc. We lost £139 million in 19/ 20 so if we carry on the debt will likely continue to rise

We are 100% reliant on Moshiri continueing to support us. If he doesn't I can't see any other investors taking over that debt, especially as there is nothing to see for it

So yes I want Moshiri to stay or else we are bankrupt but we, Everton, are the ones who owe the money so I am p. ed off that it has been spent by Moshiri so unwisely. We are in a complete mess caused by mismanagement from Moshiri down and are saddled by debt that we can't afford so need Moshiri more than ever not to walk away.

As I said What a Mess.

8.) 10 Jan 2022 02:39:02
I missed another note to the accounts that says a further £50 m was loaned to Everton by Bluesky after the balance sheet date so the money owed to Bluesky is £400 m not £350 m.

9.) 10 Jan 2022 03:56:35
Maybe you should read Sky Sports Geoff

"He's recorded more assists than any other Everton player since he joined the club in the summer of 2018 and last season he created more chances than any of his team-mates, too.

"Since the start of last season among Premier League defenders, only Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson at Liverpool have created more clear-cut chances. "

Appears Digne isn't so bad after all.

10.) 10 Jan 2022 08:07:31
We have very rich owners (not a typo) . In a normal business with owner (s) willing to service debt so that deficit doesn't become a factor, everything would be fine. Unfortunately thanks to ffp football isn't a normal business. I honestly believe that at last Everton are attempting to address our issues. This is going to be a long uncomfortable ride. Not going to stop moaning let's call it pressure relief.

11.) 10 Jan 2022 08:39:57
BW - he has been good for us, but he’s been terrible this season.
0 assists and 0 goals.
Michael Keane has 2 assists
Jonjoe Kenny even has an assist.

He’s not been the same since his injury.

12.) 10 Jan 2022 09:07:04

All I am doing is feeding back what Sky Sports statistics are saying. If they are true he must have bloddy brilliant before his injury to only be bested by Robinson and Alexander Arnald
I think we had a good player that Rafa has decided he wants rid of rather than working with him and getting him back to his best
I don't know all this ins and outs of it but I think we will regret it long term
I think Lukaku was handled better by Chelsea/ Tuchel and with Aubayang it was his third of fourth transgression. Benitez had an agenda which might be right for the club in the end - who will know - but I personally don't think he handled it well but that's just my view.

13.) 10 Jan 2022 09:09:58
BW, not been the same players thus or last season. Chances created is one thing but they are not assists or goals. So either the pass is just a little bit imperfect or team mates couldn't finish or his shots saved by keeper.

The glazers borrowed the 700 odd mil from the bank to buy utd they used none of their own money. We are quite lucky jn that we owe the money to the owner, not to the bank

So, he could technically write it off, if he wants to. not that it would happen but the debt to him will keep rising due to C.V. losses, etc.

This may be one of the reasons we bringing in younger cheaper players which can still have real value and letting up to 8 high earners leave the club in the summer.

14.) 10 Jan 2022 10:26:44
Benitez took him off set pieces so his stats were bound to drop.

15.) 10 Jan 2022 15:55:51
Chances created are not assists? So your blaming him because others missed those chances?

16.) 11 Jan 2022 04:20:44
And these are 'Ckear cut chances' Woburn and it's still his fault that other players missed them

Geoff's 'technically' he could write off his loans to Everton is also incoreect if he spent some time trying to understand FFP rules but why let facts get in the way.

Well, at least Golovin is still available.

{Ed002's Note - Aleksandr Golovin (CM) The player opted for Monaco over the interest of Juventus and Chelsea and it looks like it was a good decision. He has asked Monaco if they will let him move this coming summer and they have agreed if a suitable offer is made. Everton made an enquiry with his representative before Christmas and were told he is ideally looking for a high-profile club and would probably not entertain joining a club not in the Champions League. Other English clubs who have enquired will have been told the same and none will want to be used as a stepping stone which could easily happen.}

“What a manager” “what a manager” “what a manager”

We know who to thank for Martinez even being mentioned.

But we can’t say his name, rumour has it; every time you say his name, he becomes even more of a “proper Evertonian” and a “true blue”.
