Any idea if Eduardo Camavinga is of any interest to any PL teams heading into the next window Ed?

Don't know how much he would cost but what a talent he looks. Would love him at Everton.

{Ed002's Note - He has been but won't be moving to England. Real Madrid will push, PSG may take a chance but I expect he will stay at Renne another year. He will certainly not be moving to Everton I am afraid.}

Any info on Matheus Pereira Ed? . Looks a quality player but West Brom have a deal to sign him if he completed a certain number of games.

I don't know if he's already completed the required number but do you think with the current situation and possibility the championship may not be finished that he could move elsewhere.

Would love us to sign him personally.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any Everton interest, sorry.}

Jimmy Mac to palace done. Good luck Jimmy. Before his injury he was an absolute beast for us and I Hope he can get back to his best and wish him all the best!

1.) 06 Aug 2019 22:20:15
Yep love the lad and 2 seasons ago he would have been ideal for us but we are moving on.

2.) 07 Aug 2019 00:36:08
3 mil though. thought we'd get more than that?

3.) 07 Aug 2019 07:15:26
I thought that was low myself but he only has a year left on his contract and that obviously affected the fee.

I didn't like or want James McCarthy when he first arrived. In time he grew on me and I thought he was a good addition to the squad. In his performances you could really see the passion in his game. He endeared himself to the fans with his tackling game. He absolutely loves a tackle but the one which happened against Salomon Rondon (although it was a goal scoring saving tackle, he broke his right leg) he has never recovered from for us. Never got back in the side. I really do wish McCarthy all the best.

{Ed025's Note - i think we all echo that howie mate..

4.) 07 Aug 2019 10:07:51
When was this done? No announcement from the club?

5.) 07 Aug 2019 14:50:31
I thought we turned down 8m few weeks ago.

If Palace reject that offer they need their heads testing. Way overboard for me if it is true.

Tosun if given the games that DCL had last season would've definitely got 10-15 minimum imo.

I would've preferred Bolasie and McCarthy.

But on a positive note surely that means Kean is on the bag if we are offering Tosun in the deal?

1.) 29 Jul 2019 20:15:08
Palace will reject this offer as they don't want to sell zaha so we should move to other targets before it's to late.

2.) 29 Jul 2019 20:32:16
There is obviously an open dialogue between the clubs though David. I find it hard to believe we would make that offer with having some encouragement that they would be interested in them players.

They want 80mill and that deal is pretty much there imo. It also reduces the amount they have to give United so they would actually be better off.

3.) 29 Jul 2019 20:45:52
If they knock that back then we need to move on. Would like to see Mccarthy, niasse, bolasie go instead . If they say no they are mad. They need players and 55 mil an two players that walk into there starting 11 is a great deal.

4.) 29 Jul 2019 20:55:21
The player has told them he wants to leave and Palace have set a price, the player plus cash deal meets the price so this deal could be one that gets done hopefully, if Palace knock back the deal then I think we will walk away from it.

Hearing that we may go for Phil Jones. Dunno what to make of that Tbh.

1.) 29 Jul 2019 19:16:59
If it was a loan as cover behind Mina and Keane that wouldn’t be a total disaster
Permanent signing then I wouldn’t be happy as would be another to clear off the wage bill.

2.) 29 Jul 2019 19:29:57
No, please, NO!

3.) 29 Jul 2019 19:37:44
Atleast he versatile, but i agree with ST.

What's everyone verdict on Sidibe? . I'm u decided if I'm honest. If the reports of a reduction on the agreed price are true I'd probably go for it but yeah. Not 100% convinced.

1.) 31 May 2020 13:19:23
Hes a bit of a square peg in a round hole with poly filler doing it's best to stop the leaks.
Has a few flashes but not what we need money should be put towards better in my view, shake his hand thank him send him on his way.

30 May 2020 15:20:07
Watching Schalke again. Must say I'm really impressed with Todibo and would welcome his signing. Little bit Raw but at 20 that's expected. Kenny on the other hand hasn't convinced me in the 2 games I've watched.

1.) 30 May 2020 16:00:41
Although I must add Schalke are a really poor side so you’ve got to take that in to consideration with regards to Kenny.

29 May 2020 20:13:06
Gotta go all out for Sangare now imo.

1.) 30 May 2020 08:10:30
I see the rumours for Hojbjerg have picked up again as an option, not sure how true.

2.) 30 May 2020 13:45:56
Not sure on him Southern. The fact that any Southampton fan I’ve seen comment on the links is willing this deal to go through makes me worried lol.

28 May 2020 20:00:24
After watching a few Bundesliga games it's fair to say the experience without crowd noise is pretty crap.

I was thinking and on Fifa no two games are the same and the virtual crowd reacts instantaneously and uniquely with the play.

Surely there would be a way to use that technology for the games on TV.

1.) 29 May 2020 09:18:35
I was thinking about this crowd situation there’s a team I think in Germany who have allowed fans to have life size cardboard cut outs of themselves where their seat is, hopefully they don’t get ruined by the weather!
I was wondering if there was a way, with all these games being shown on tv, to link up a speaker system and supporters looping in to a conferencing style platform and could then get some crowd reaction to events coming out over the speakers
Not as good as a live crowd but perhaps making something of the situation and give something for the home fans.

2.) 29 May 2020 19:14:21
No chance of a zoom style fan atmosphere. You would 100% get masses of trolls invading each game. Unless you could somehow cherrypick “trusted” supporters of course.

3.) 29 May 2020 23:28:13
You would only send participant details to season ticket holders, you control the access.

4.) 30 May 2020 10:18:54
Good idea mate. The cynical side in me believes people would still find a way to get in to it though.

If it could be done though it’s definitely the most organic way to replicate a match day atmosphere.

Someone got a picture with JP Gbamin in a Sainsbury's.

Apparently he asked him how he was and he said he was " ready to play ".

Tbh that would be one of the few good things to come out of this footballing wise if he can get a few mins before we even start pre season.

1.) 23 May 2020 16:19:50
thats good that how much did we even buy him for i havnt seen much of him was he good in the bundesliga before we bought him.

2.) 23 May 2020 19:45:30
I believe we got him for £22.5 million
I spoke to one of my German colleagues who said Gbamin is quite versatile, from playing CB to then playing in midfield as a screen across the back four but also further forward like a number 8 was used in different midfield roles at Mainz
He’s not like Gueye who covers every blade of grass hunting down whoever has the ball. Which could have positives but from what I was told sounds a much better passer and better in possession
They said he was comfortable and confident on the ball and would get attacks started with strides out from the back and looks to move the ball forward so an upgrade on the way Schneiderlin plays when in that role. Will have to see how his passing compares to Gomes but I was told he would look to slot balls through as well as hit the diagonals. Will also have to see how the two play together. From what my colleague said it sounds more like a player who would anchor a midfield three whereas Carlo seems to favour two in the middle.
My colleague did also say Mainz were rubbish keeping possession so would’ve fitted right in to a Marco Silva side, hopefully Ancelotti will raise Gbamin’s game.
One of the Ed’s may know more, or contradict what I’ve been told lol 😂.

3.) 23 May 2020 20:43:22
thanks for that southern toffee from what you have wrote sounds promising player i havnt seen much from him if honest mate but thanks for that.

Whilst they may offer a good environment Ed. Will they be willing to offer €35-40 mill to take him in Jan?

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know. Perhaps a loan initially?}

Surely he would have to be playing well for to be pushing his way out to Roma.

I can’t personally see us taking a loss on him at this stage as he’s a future superstar imo.

Unless he’s mentally like his rather poorly chosen idol
( Balotelli) and he’s got a few screws loose.

I can’t see him going anywhere for a year or so

The biggest issue for me is Silva isn’t playing Him in his correct position. And until he gives him 10-20 games up top he’s not going to acclimatise imo.

{Ed002's Note - The potential is there - Roma offer a good environment to develop. Everton was a mistake and never going to last. Certainly Everton could block any move - that will cheer everyone up.}

Hope that’s the case! . If we could get him and Somehow convince Chelsea to sell Zouma we’d have a fair shout at the top 6-4 imo.

Kean’s Brother also followed the official Everton and a Fan channel. Someone posted a screenshot asking him if he was signing and he replied with a blue heart. Sounds promising!

{Ed0333's Note - you sure it wasn’t Robbie Keanes brother mate?

As far as I know his injury record was fine wasn’t it?
