Given the well documented financial issues, I'm more interested in outgoings in this window. The more rubbish we can shift the better we can plan for the summer as opposed to starting the summer with no idea of transfer/ wage budget until we've offloaded players.

Not sure we have very many salable assets to be honest. And the biggest issue we have is arrogant useless individuals like schneids and siggy that wouldn't leave even if we had a buyer because they won't drop their wages. We have several players that aren't remotely interested in success or whether they are remembered as good players, they just want as much money as possible.

Sounds grim. I genuinely believe the club cannot and will not make any progress until the Steve Walsh signings contracts are up. He oversaw a procession of rank average players earning ridiculous money - aside from transfer fees sigurdsson, bolasie, sandro, walcott and tosun (OK, not for the next few months) cost us nearly half a million pounds a week.

Couldn't agree more Ed, total pie in the sky stuff. All we should be concerned with at the moment is getting high earning lazy players off the books so we are in a more solid position going forward.

People follow a gamble. So the bookies shortening one even slightly can cause people to bet on it then obviously it gets even shorter. Manager markets are a bookies dream!

Not sure the fact that he's better than us fans is a particularly good argument to be honest toffee apple.

Goof point evo. His age doesn't stop him being paid tens of thousands a week does it so it shouldn't stop him being criticised for being incapable of the basics.

Didn't realise that Davies got booed last night Blueboy - I agree that's unnecessary and unhelpful. But the simple fact is that Davies isn't good enough by a long way.

Agree bignev. Most of their top players play every game, and to my eye they look to work harder and have higher intensity. Makes you wonder whether are lot are so unfit because they just don't really care and don't have the same drive to push themselves and succeed.

Think in addition to his horrendous attitude he's got an issue with crosses and controlling his box. Very rarely he comes off his line and calms a situation by taking the ball cleanly. He's a great shot stopper and if we ever switch to 5 a side he'd be the first name on my teamsheet.
