For the rumour page - rumour has it we won at Anfield. Please confirm?

1.) 20 Feb 2021 20:04:49
And that we got a penalty?

2.) 21 Feb 2021 01:08:28
Don't get too excited mate, we played against a poor team that has now lost four on the row at home. They also have a strategically inept manager who focuses his post match comments on the validity of our penalty. Since Christmas they have taken 9 points from ten games according to the match commentators. Too easy for the Professor and his men.

3.) 21 Feb 2021 03:49:20
VAR to look at the game and award the Reds 3 goals because Klopp cried.

4.) 21 Feb 2021 10:59:17
After every defeat people on here say we are a poor side and question Carlo and his team selection
I’m just loving getting that run of losses at their place has come to an end!
An amazing weekend.

5.) 21 Feb 2021 11:19:13
Don’t get too excited, Blue Mike? Have a day off mate, it’s ok to celebrate a deserved win at Anfield.

6.) 21 Feb 2021 12:12:22
I thought it was all a dream, especially when Souness said we were the better team.

7.) 21 Feb 2021 13:47:38
If only Thompson was still on Soccer Saturday that would be entertaining!

8.) 21 Feb 2021 16:09:23
BlueMike1 how many times have we gone to them played the better football and either lost or scraped a draw? There are plenty of Toffees that haven't been alive long enough to see us win over there so it doesn't really matter how crap they are the fact that we won is all that matters.

9.) 21 Feb 2021 17:33:58
You can only beat the team that’s put in front of you.

10.) 21 Feb 2021 20:17:58
Come on guys it was just a bit of Scouse sarcasm. Of course I am ecstatic about our win, although I am old enough at 81 to remember the times when we could beat them on a regular basis.

11.) 21 Feb 2021 20:49:08
Jesus Mike, how are going to react Tuesday, if we get the thumbs up for the new stadium, probs we should have had an 80,000 stadium.

So many times I have watched Everton play them off the Park and end up getting a draw, so many last minute slip ups by ourselves, that was a decent result and got a huge monkey not just off our back, but Pickfords as well.

12.) 21 Feb 2021 21:08:32
Well bignev I am going to miss the Old Lady. Been there when we had an attendance of close to 80,000 as a teenager with my friend Neville Smith who went on to write "The Golden Vision". Been there when we won the league and when we had the first game under lights and many other fantastic memories. Hopefully I will still be alive and well enough to go to the new stadium.

13.) 22 Feb 2021 08:01:15
I'm a little confused how anyone couldn't see Bluemike was taking the piss I got it Mike bud and it made me smile bud UTFT.

14.) 22 Feb 2021 14:41:25
Apologies BM1 didn't realise you were adding a bit of sarcasm to the site that would be down to too many negative posts and I just looked at the stuff about them and though fact.

15.) 22 Feb 2021 20:39:52
I think it's called "taking the piss" sa90. Waited a long time to be able to do that.

16.) 23 Feb 2021 23:25:33
If you can’t get excited about wining a derby at Anfield then don’t but a lot of us are, we have made huge strides this season, but ending a record like we have in this fixture is massive, it is a sign of mentality changing and Carlo deserves huge credit, consistency is the key now and then go again in summer with adding bit more quality.

11 Dec 2020 20:01:09
Moshiri proposing to invest £250m into club can only be good.

1.) 11 Dec 2020 21:16:38
Looks like it’s just to cover are Losses tbh.

2.) 12 Dec 2020 17:54:31
Cover losses or not surely puts us in a stronger financial position?

{Ed0666's Note - quarter of a billion during a pandemic?..

3.) 12 Dec 2020 19:33:34
Would be interesting to know what the other clubs have lost.

4.) 12 Dec 2020 19:44:17
Not sure what you mean Ed0666.

{Ed0666's Note - I mean moshri investing 250 million into the club during the pandemic seems hard to believe or I may have misunderstood the original point the OP was making.

5.) 12 Dec 2020 20:11:46
Cheers Ed, having read it on bbc website it’s not £250m it was something like £50m in November taking his stake up.

Theres something about potential share options which may generate up to £250m of potential investment.

{Ed001's Note - it is 2 lots of £50m to take it to £300m + a new share issue which could be a further £250m. I would assume a lot of that will have to be earmarked for the stadium though, even if just to have cash reserves to lower the cost of a loan to cover the stadium costs initially.}

31 Oct 2020 15:28:09
Being reported Isco wants to join us next summer and available for 18million. Amazing if could be made possible.

1.) 31 Oct 2020 19:52:56
Need him in January mate, even if it’s just a loan.

2.) 31 Oct 2020 20:10:54
Allegedly he will be available for loan in Jan as Spanish reports state Zidane wants him loaned out and sold 😳.

3.) 31 Oct 2020 20:35:37
That just seems way to good to be true. Imagine though be insane.

{Ed025's Note - it would be brilliant chris..

4.) 31 Oct 2020 20:40:44
Wouldn't his wage demands be ridonculous?

{Ed025's Note - i imagine they would be quite high worcester...but i dont know about binoculars mate.. :)

5.) 31 Oct 2020 21:01:21
Would love to get him in wow.

6.) 31 Oct 2020 22:05:18
123,000 allegedly. not as crazy as some at Real Madrid.

7.) 31 Oct 2020 23:21:57
Might not be a popular comment but I think we could offset this, by selling Bernard in January and offsetting Bernards £120k a week wages for Iseco.

Would any other posters be up for that.

8.) 31 Oct 2020 23:33:14
Yes, defo, what a signing that would be, although I’d rather it was Siggy we were moving on, am sure his wages are shockingly high.

9.) 01 Nov 2020 07:36:24
Isn't it nice to be speculating with realistic belief and not the 'pie in the sky' stuff pre Carlo, bloody hell I love this guy, no honestly I do 🤩.

10.) 02 Nov 2020 01:38:06
i'd like to think money isn't an issue, plenty of sponsorship deals coming in

also, think mr usmanov may be interested in a few shares soon,

11.) 03 Nov 2020 03:47:04
Has anyone seen Isco recently? He’s very out of shape

Obviously that can be fixed, but this isn’t the same Isco we all know about.

12.) 03 Nov 2020 13:43:27
I'm out of shape Swan and the wrong side of 80 but could put out more effort than some of the present squad. Well when I fully recover from the total knee replacement surgery I had done last Thursday that is!
Isco is only 28 I believe so should be able to get back into shape pretty soon.

13.) 03 Nov 2020 16:31:46
Swan, he can get back his fitness levels in no time so can't see that being a problem. Even the Isco that we don't know has to be better than some we have stealing a living! I'd definitely be happy if we can get this deal done.
BlueMike, you'd still put more effort in on the day of your op than some of the present squad! Wishing you a speedy recovery mate.

{Ed025's Note - yeah best of luck mike..

14.) 03 Nov 2020 20:47:42
I’ve just watched the video reels and I know you shouldn’t base any decision on them but god I hope he comes to us in January. I’m that excited a bit of wee came out 😉🤣🤣🤣🤣.

15.) 03 Nov 2020 21:46:14
Thanks blue potato and Ed025. Had the left one done four years ago and it has been great. Hopefully back to playing golf in four weeks time,

16.) 06 Nov 2020 12:33:10
Morning! I’m in the States and have been occupied with the insanity over here :0! I need a little normalcy in my life, COYB! How would we utilize ISCO if we did get him on loan in Jan.? Thanks!

20 Oct 2020 12:47:47
Real Madrid want DCL and prepared to pay 36million. Never seen so much b@$%&&$ as this week with everyone now realising we are real deal and a threat to CL monies. Think they might have the last digit off but no forgot Real are not cash rich at the moment.

1.) 20 Oct 2020 20:30:51
Saw that myself, thought I had somehow hibernated through to April Fool’s Day!

01 Oct 2020 20:19:06
Seen agreed fee agreed for Godfrey medical tomorrow. York City will also make couple million so will secure their future. Looks promising.

This from LFC fan
We have red backdrops and we play in red kits. I believe it is the colour clash when clubs are passing the ball, it takes them longer to visualise their players. '

'I can guarantee if Liverpool changed their backdrop to their away kit, they would perform a lot better. '

1.) 06 Mar 2021 21:20:33
I heard that on talk sport clip, frankie his name was and they just laughed and asked if a wind up 😂😂😂.

2.) 07 Mar 2021 05:32:53
I have always thought LFC fans had overactive imaginations in defeat, however this one is covering totally new ground . . . hats off Frankie lol 🤣.

04 Mar 2021 18:46:48
Well if Swan was rating the first half don't think anyone would get more than 4 with exception of Pickford and maybe the Centre Halves. Not even had Ricky with his normal rolling around on the floor. These are there for taking. 3points second half a must.

1.) 04 Mar 2021 19:59:23
Better second half when subs came on. And Thank you VAR that is for all the bad VAR decisions last year!

2.) 04 Mar 2021 20:12:26
And taken Cookie!

01 Mar 2021 21:34:59
Think this is best I have seen Andre Gomes play since he had injury. Looks fit powerful and touch back to best.

{Ed025's Note - im not so sure cookie, i thought he worked hard but it seemed to me that andre and siggy were not sure where they were playing and they were just winging it, all the lads worked hard but it does seem disjointed at times, great result but not that great a watch for me mate..

1.) 01 Mar 2021 22:40:12
Gomes put in a few good balls but he is a pure liability. Gives the ball away, always the wrong side when defending and gives fouls in needless situations. We llay so much better without him.

To be fair though the three in the middle were poor with the ball tonight. The front three were isolated for much of the game but thank god for Sig and Rich. Lovely ball and great finish.

2.) 01 Mar 2021 22:45:06
Seems like a top guy, but I can’t see him getting too many games next season. Lacks pace and bite defensively, could maybe excuse that if he was lethal with a through ball or a set piece special-ist - he’s not. We’re aspiring to have better players in the squad.

3.) 02 Mar 2021 08:33:18
Is this the same Gomes everyone wanted to marry when he signed give the lad a break I have seen flashes of his old self but we have to remember he suffered a serious injury came back faster than anyone expected and has had no preseason to build his ankle up and is poss suffering a little but from the psychological side of things can as blues can we not just enjoy what has been a very good week without looking for something or someone to moan about UTFT KAGS.

4.) 02 Mar 2021 10:49:31
His injury was over a year ago. He is a nice fella but he's not improving or getting back to his best or even close.

I wish I'd see the improvement but sometimes you've got to face facts. Right now, with things so close I want reliable, dependable players, in form.

Someone who loses the ball in a Derby on the edge of the box, is not the player I want on the pitch. This has been a regular thing where he's caught in possession every single game and because of that he makes rash challenges. He almost got sent off in the Derby. It's not the first time lately.

So no time for sentimentnot when CL is actually possible.

5.) 02 Mar 2021 12:11:05
its almost as if Gomes is now the scapegoat because Tom Davies has been playing well shame really as a fanbase it baffles how in a week we have won the derby had the ground approved had Digne sign a new contract and beat Saints to keep us in touching distance some of our fans are not happy unless they are moaning about a player.

6.) 03 Mar 2021 09:28:31
First off Brank, it's okay to critise players If they are not performing as long as you highlight the areas they are not performing in and giving a balanced view. The problem we have is that like with Tom, even when he was doing well people got on his back.

Gomes is not playing well so therefore there is a discussion to be had on his performances and to highlight why I think he shouldn't be in the team. You can't paint everything with rainbow coloured happiness.

YOU would be on his back and having a go if, like getting caught in possession in a crucial game, he costs us a goal and we lose a game that means we don't get in Europe.

Is that Gomes fault? No. Its because he's playing when he shouldn't.

Gomes will know he's not playing well and not the player he was. However, we can't be always hoping he's going to get back to his best. That is utter madness.

Hopefully he does come good but we can't keep playing him when he may cost us.

24 Feb 2021 17:08:34
Digne signs and new stadium cleared surely news weeks like this come after a terrible defeat. Maybe the club didn't expect to win. Well done Everton !

1.) 24 Feb 2021 18:26:56
Great news on both fronts, Digne spoke very well about love of the clubs, fans and Ancelotti. Its excellent a player of his quality has chosen to extend his contract.

2.) 25 Feb 2021 23:23:14
Carlo wants to stay and lead us into the new stadium, what a week, to be an Evertonian.

22 Feb 2021 17:30:46
Did anyone see Garth Crooks comments on bbc when picking team of the week regards Jordan Pickford. Think we all agree he hasn't lived up to our expectations from when we signed him and all wince a little bit when the ball goes towards him. That said credit were credit is due and Saturday he was great and put me at ease for maybe the 1st time in ages. But can't believe after he plays well this still gets brought up!
He wrote: “It is with some hesitation I find myself selecting Jordan Pickford for my team of the week.

“It was Pickford who put Virgil van Dijk out of the previous Merseyside derby with an awful challenge that went unpunished.

“However, football moves on very quickly and Pickford seemed intent on inflicting even more pain on Liverpool, this time on his return to Anfield.

Also Alison is getting grief from LFC fans for talking to him at the final whistle. If it wasn't so sad I would be laughing!

1.) 22 Feb 2021 18:38:43
Does anybody else think Pickford has lost weight? He looked a lot leaner to me, but then maybe I didn't have my telly on wide screen.
To be fair on your last point. Had we lost and Pickford was seen chatting to their keeper then if i'm being honest I would have been a little peeved.

2.) 22 Feb 2021 19:15:06
It was only the game before Liverpool he made a mistake leading to a goal. He’s got a lot of good games to have before I think he’s our long term Number 1.

3.) 22 Feb 2021 20:08:46
I think it's evened out considering terrence trent derby didn't get a red card for the pen.

{Ed025's Note - love it smit..

4.) 22 Feb 2021 20:54:14
I read it Cookie and thought Garth Crooks a bit of a nob with that comment.
If football moves on very quickly why’s he bringing it up again?
Poor journalism but not unexpected as it appears no one wants to see us do well and look to pick fault where they can rather than just commend our results.

5.) 22 Feb 2021 21:07:05
I’ve never rated Crooks. What is the point of picking Pickford to spend 2/ 3 of his section not about him? Easily could have mentioned his save against Henderson or Salah when 1-0 and the fact he kept a clean sheet but opted not to.

Agree it’s lazy journalism. If you don’t want to pick him on merit of his performance, pick someone else. Only looked at this weeks article as it had an Everton shirt on it. Reminded me why I stopped reading his tripe long ago.

6.) 23 Feb 2021 08:08:33
Shameful, sensationalist journalism - Pickford did not set out to injure anyone, see bad tackles and injuries every weekend. Let it go man. Pickford looked sharp and confident- let’s hope he takes it forward. Get Dom and Richy up top on Monday night and go for 3 points!

7.) 23 Feb 2021 09:04:32
Day 5647 and they still have to bring it up it's pathetic. Smit regards the red card I believe the ref went to the monitor to check the red card not the pen as under current rules if he accidentally brought Lewin down then it's a red card if he tripped him on purpose then no red card.

8.) 23 Feb 2021 20:40:12
Yeah exactly what Pickford did to VVD so they just need to get over it.

They would be same level at best with Pickford. Dommarumma at AC on free transfer, I'm sure he is already lined up by someone else. If we did buy new keeper and sold Jordan, how much would we expect to get in today's market for him?

{Ed002's Note - Donnarumma is not moving to Everton. That is not even an option. Everton interest remains in Robin Olsen joining permanently.}
