Bricking it now with the news Branthwaite will likely miss the game. Choice between Godfrey or Keane. Worse still given both right backs are injured, it could be both.
Maybe play 2-5-3, just to keep one of them on the bench :)

WoburnB

1.) 17 Apr 2024 17:38:31
DCL and Patterson also doubtful both suffered knocks last game.

2.) 17 Apr 2024 17:39:28
Who do we play Seamus is also injured time for youth maybe.

{Ed025's Note - it will be godfrey i fear GB, with the nightmare Keane in the centre mate..

3.) 17 Apr 2024 17:48:32
Might as well put Young with them as well mate, never rains but it pours eh.

{Ed025's Note - its a tsunami for us GB..

4.) 17 Apr 2024 17:59:13
Better give Noah a ring Ed.

{Ed025's Note - the thing is GB....Noah only had 2 donkeys mate.. :)

5.) 17 Apr 2024 18:08:40
Love it Ed made me laugh, the nickname for Guernsey people born and bred here are called donkeys mate.

6.) 18 Apr 2024 01:43:27
Could put Garner at RB he did ok for the under 21's in the summer ???.

7.) 18 Apr 2024 07:19:07
Put Roman Dixon in at rb. Yes he's 17 and has no experience but very highly thought of. Can tackle, likes to get forward, but his main strength is his speed. He's like a bullet out of a gun. Just give the opposition something to think about instead of them knowing which dross we going to be fielding every week (which lack speed too}. And I'd have Gomes as no10 and Warrington in place of Onana. Warrington has more about him than Onana does. But we know the line up before it even gets to the weekend.

8.) 19 Apr 2024 14:24:50
Tony would run riot. Bring him back.

09 Apr 2024 12:43:41
We all love a rumour . Now apparently the sheikh who was going to buy Man Utd is looking at another Prem club.
Cue mass hysteria :)

WoburnB

{Ed025's Note - knowing us Woburn it will be...Sheik N Vac.. :)

1.) 09 Apr 2024 12:54:44
Brilliant Ed?????. least we'll get some freshness back.

{Ed025's Note - love it mocker..

2.) 09 Apr 2024 16:17:32
Hope it's Sheikh Abdul Bin Ding Dong Plentydosh.

3.) 10 Apr 2024 08:10:02
Red somewhere he's trying to invest in spurs.

4.) 10 Apr 2024 08:56:54
Hope it isn't a rumour.

5.) 10 Apr 2024 22:18:08
Another premier club? We better start winning more points than the ones taken from us. I hope that it is true. If we can survive until the new stadium is built then the commercial revenue should be increased substantially, not only by the increased attendance but also by the other activities.

6.) 10 Apr 2024 23:13:31
Best Bingo Hall in the North West….

{Ed001's Note - wasn't that the Gainie along Knowsley Road?}

16 Mar 2024 23:01:40
.
Dyche knocks out Patterson and starts a massive brawl in lap dancing bar.
Boys on tour eh.

WoburnB

1.) 17 Mar 2024 10:17:05
Apparently Dyche was annoyed because the lads were playing darts and none of them could hit the board.

2.) 17 Mar 2024 12:41:58
Dyche says sometimes it hurts to score and nobody was up to heading the dart when he threw it in.

25 Feb 2024 17:48:12
Great rumour going around that Tim Cahill backed by Arab investors is ready to step in to take over the club.
Now that would be interesting.

WoburnB

1.) 25 Feb 2024 18:06:37
Would love that mate.

2.) 25 Feb 2024 18:46:41
We can dream.

3.) 25 Feb 2024 18:46:59
So it's ok for the arabs to buy us but not Newcastle or city, it's a bit hypocritical to say the least.

4.) 25 Feb 2024 18:52:04
It’s just a rumour Sky chill man.

5.) 25 Feb 2024 18:56:48
Depends on the Arab skylark. Don’t know who they are yet, issue I have with the Saudi’s is they literally had Khashoggi murdered at a consulate and taken out the back door in bags.

6.) 25 Feb 2024 20:44:18
Daft. Just daft.

7.) 25 Feb 2024 23:28:12
Probably but this is a rumour site BR.

8.) 26 Feb 2024 03:05:59
It looks like 777 are more toxic than Moshiri. The Premier league are taking so long investigating their fitness to own and that is obviously a major worry.
I would take Saudi money if it meant stability and clearing out the dead wood we clearly have.

9.) 26 Feb 2024 09:10:03
Sports washing is sports washing no football team should be controlled by any state in my opinion.

20 Jan 2024 16:44:41
So rumours are Gerrard wants Doucoure to replace Henderson at Al-ettifaq.
Bit torn on this one to be honest. I mean yes he's been one of our better players, but he's 31 now and our highest earner. Think if they made a good offer then we would have to let him go.

WoburnB

{Ed002's Note - An approach has been made and it would give the club some funds to try and add to the squad. Is he fit right now.

1.) 20 Jan 2024 17:16:47
He had a hamstring injury but did play against Villa. didn’t play in the cup game but that might have been precautionary.
It would make sense if it was a reasonable offer, because as you say would help invest in the squad, and would be another big wage off the books.

{Ed002's Note - Exactly.}

2.) 20 Jan 2024 19:25:50
He’s been good for us but at 31 if the offer was right then cash in by all means, we need finances.

3.) 20 Jan 2024 19:36:41
No far to valuable to us than cash. Onana, Keane, Pickford that is tge way to go.

4.) 20 Jan 2024 20:02:25
Seriously you would rather let a young player with huge potential go, than a 31 year old who is on massive wages.

5.) 20 Jan 2024 20:03:25
Not for me we are in dire straits, Keane yes and Onana but keep Jordan.

6.) 20 Jan 2024 20:37:02
Think GB the likes of Eds' (across many sites) are outside of our emotion.

7.) 20 Jan 2024 21:20:17
Game of opinion HK mate.

8.) 20 Jan 2024 21:42:55
We have to move forward by signing younger players on lower wages. He has been one of our better players this season, but I wouldn’t say he’s irreplaceable, and it we get a silly offer I’d take it.

9.) 20 Jan 2024 21:54:27
We are but one of many football sites across this local. ED's contribute many. I dare not say more. No fing emojis.

10.) 20 Jan 2024 21:56:17
Guernsey of course. Those EDs see loads, I have also looked.

11.) 20 Jan 2024 23:16:02
What don’t you get about reducing the wage bill? Dacoure is our top earner . And as it’s already been stated he is not irreplaceable.

12.) 20 Jan 2024 23:19:45
Think its a no brainer 31 years old i imagine he's on a high wage aswell and as ed 002 stated could give us funds to replace him with a younger player question is if we do sell where would we begin to look championship be good start also start sending are scouts ie Austria brazil denmark always a hidden gem somewhere just got to find them.

13.) 21 Jan 2024 00:00:56
What do you not understand about our current situation? The guy is 31, yes he's had a reasonable season so far, but his passing is shocking and he is not irreplaceable.
We have to reduce the wage bill whether we like that or not, and this guy is a top earner. If we get a decent offer then he has to go. As for Keane, well we haven't sold him because nobody wants him.

14.) 21 Jan 2024 09:22:09
If the money is right then he would have to be sold. It's time players in our squad earned their high wages and stepped up. Could Gomes, with a runof games, be worthy of no10 roll? Could it be time for young Sean McAllister to step into 1st team squad (plays no10 roll very well) ?, or time to play 2 up top? Join us next week for another episode of Everton Football Club ;)

15.) 20 Jan 2024 19:16:49
Yes a big wage but a valuable player. Onana and Keane would make more sense.

16.) 21 Jan 2024 11:09:21
How in anyway would it make more sense? Have you not got it that we can't be paying 31 year old players 120k a week.

17.) 21 Jan 2024 12:18:26
Crazy Brass does not make any sense at all eh.

18.) 21 Jan 2024 15:05:09
Does everyone realise he is out only goal scorer. Who cares how old he is? Does more than onana when he’s having a bad day and onana plays the best he ever has! Onana should go for me as on the same if not bigger wages and will bring in a bigger fee. Can’t be that hard to find another midfielder who get no goals or assists and barely break up play, let just hope when we find him we don’t waste another £30m!

19.) 21 Jan 2024 16:13:42
Onana is not earning anywhere near what Doucoure is earning. Onana 22, Doucoure 31. Can’t be that hard to find a No10 who can’t pass a ball.

20.) 21 Jan 2024 16:16:44
Don’t want to sell, however with the mess we’re in we have to get £50m in and another big wage off the books.
Unfortunately this is where we are at as a football club at the moment.
?.

21.) 21 Jan 2024 20:06:25
I understand the financial sense however we don't look like scoring if he is not playing behind our lone striker.

22.) 21 Jan 2024 22:29:50
Then play two strikers.

23.) 22 Jan 2024 09:07:46
Exactly Woburn, our midfield don't score apart from Doucoure, DCL doesn't score in this system. If Doucoure goes then play beto alongside DCL. We need goals and an extra striker on pitch is better than a goal shy midfielder.

24.) 22 Jan 2024 09:27:52
Decoure in the glue holding the team together look at the win ratio with him and without him in the team. He is also one of SDs go to men who can play a full 90+ mins and we all know how well SD likes to use his subs. Selling Decoure has major positives helps get us out of some of our financial issues but at what cost?

25.) 23 Jan 2024 16:47:09
Might not have a choice.

26.) 24 Jan 2024 13:27:26
I can only assume anyone saying get rid of doucs for 15m doesn't actually watch the games. We've won 1 game without doucoure under dyche and that was villa in the cup just gone.

You lot seriously want to sell a player that we have not won a league game without?

We will lose a hell of a lot more than 15m plus his wages if we get relegated.

He's 31 but so what? He is buy far our most important player.

I'd rather sell onana, he wants a bigger club and has a much higher value and is not as important to the team (now before you all jump on me here, I'm not saying he is not an important player, but we've won games without him) . It just makes more sense.

Obviously I don't want to get rid of anyone who makes the first 11, but doesn't look like we have a choice.

Alright lads back off holibobs, see our new player policy is to sign players who's names we can't pronounce.

WoburnB

1.) 04 Jul 2024 22:14:17
Still on mine and i am constantly checking this site and anything else for any news ?.

02 May 2024 15:25:27
Right that's me done for a couple of months now. No more reading the crap the rags print, no more news now bollocks.
I'm off to Barbados to recuperate after what's been another stressful season.
Thanks Ed's for putting up with us, it will be the same again next season no doubt.
Happy Holidays everyone. UTFT!

WoburnB

{Ed001's Note - have a great time mate.}

1.) 02 May 2024 16:10:55
Lucky you, have a great time. Unfortunately my 'advisor' has told me I am going nowhere (abroad) until Nov. ?.

{Ed025's Note - have a great break Woburn mate..

2.) 02 May 2024 18:45:30
Hope your not flying with 777 airline.

{Ed025's Note - he would have to be a right Bonzo to fly with them Skylark.. :)

3.) 02 May 2024 19:04:57
No one else is flying with them either Skylark ?.

30 Apr 2024 09:33:37
See 777 airline has gone into administration. That's a little worrying don't you think.

WoburnB

1.) 30 Apr 2024 11:24:31
That's a Bonza of a story there mate :-) Maybe if we sell the whole team we can bail them out.

2.) 30 Apr 2024 11:35:27
Yeah could have a knock on effect.

3.) 30 Apr 2024 11:56:24
Can't see it taking off!

{Ed025's Note - love it cookie..

4.) 30 Apr 2024 12:01:19
I wonder if Bonza’s fleet was made up of Boeing 777’s? ……

…. I’ll get my coat and quietly shut the door behind me.

5.) 30 Apr 2024 13:16:04
Always hoped the 777 take over wouldn't make it off the ground.

27 Apr 2024 16:59:08
Well a win tonight and it's done. A draw would also do as our goal difference is far superior.
But come on let's win it and we can all relax.

WoburnB

1.) 28 Apr 2024 10:37:20
I am not going to say we don't use it at times but Dyche using hoof ball is an easy thing to say as i must be missing things if people see us constantly hoofing it up.

23 Apr 2024 21:42:12
Well now Chelsea know how it feels??.

WoburnB

{Ed025's Note - love it mate..

1.) 24 Apr 2024 07:16:32
Not really though eh! Bit further up the table than us.

2.) 24 Apr 2024 15:35:11

You know Potter has tasted the “ high life” and apart from becoming a multi millionaire (only football) , it didn’t turn out to well. He might just fancy the challenge if we stay in the Prem that is.

Not for me. Take away our last three wins and think how long did we go without a win?
This guy had a preseason and a full season with these players, and we’re measuring them on the last three games.
We stayed up because three teams below us are shocking, that might not happen next season.

So he’s saying he wouldn’t have signed that massive contract and taken the job on if he’d known different. Yea because clubs were queuing up for him weren’t they.
