Has anyone else heard Rumours Bramley Moor is a no go for now. I really hope not.

1.) 21 Mar 2021 19:13:43
Last I hear the government is looking to extend the 21day review period they have which was due to end on Wednesday.

Only hope that Joe Anderson arrest isn’t linked.

2.) 21 Mar 2021 20:07:37
Not sure it matters tbh. Not sure many people actually expected it to go ahead.

3.) 22 Mar 2021 14:23:13
It's normal procedure for projects of this size. How often does a government department make a decision in 21 days? Probably have not even opened the package yet.

4.) 22 Mar 2021 14:43:50
i would be VERY VERY surprised given the amount of money spent and the time taken to get to this point.

5.) 22 Mar 2021 19:33:20
Bobslad, there was a message floating around yesterday saying that JA and someone named Colin Chong were expected to be arrested at some point this week. Nice to know that you can get a heads up on being pre-arrested if you work for the council!
I'd take it with a pinch of salt tbh. There's been a lot of money spent already, the actual project will generate plenty of cash and jobs for the area so I think it will go ahead. Just my own opinion mind you, I haven't a clue how these things work. If we can prove that all the back handers went to mates of current Tory MP's then there is absolutely nothing to worry about at all mate.

6.) 22 Mar 2021 20:58:48
It could be to do with all the houses that were compulsory purchased around Anfield to allow them to build their new stand. How’s that for conspiracy theory. 😂.

7.) 23 Mar 2021 14:43:20
I don't know much about the rumours etc, but isn't Colin Chong the guy in charge of the stadium project? If he is involved in anything then we may well find the stadium is in trouble. I sincerely hope not, it would be a new low in our storied search for a new home - and there have been a lot already.

8.) 23 Mar 2021 19:31:54
JA had to report for renewal of bail conditions it's set prior to release, and do honestly see Everton risking their new stadium and millions/ billions over a bung to a dodgy minor politicians. Besides everyone likes a juicy bit of gossip and like to make it sound juicier, do you not think the news hounds at the echo would be all over this!

9.) 22 Mar 2021 17:25:50
It was liverpool fans doing what liverpool fans do and while telling the whole world they don't care about us start spreading rumours which people believe and Swan I'm not sure who you speak to but all the blues I talk to expect it to go ahead.

10.) 24 Mar 2021 19:22:26
It will go ahead, too many benefits for the City of Liverpool for it to be pulled at this stage. A delay is likely however.

11.) 25 Mar 2021 11:29:01
I have a feeling that he asked for more time so now they have took control of the city they will look like the good guys when they pass it saying this is what we want for the north.

14 Jan 2021 22:13:52
No new signings this month, just off loading players not wanted.

1.) 15 Jan 2021 08:52:19
I will believe that at the end of the window,

2.) 15 Jan 2021 09:07:42
Nothing unexpected to be honest. We don't really need anyone in the short term with players coming back from injury we have a big enough squad to see us through to the end of the season and still be reasonably competitive.

{Ed025's Note - i would like to see a playmaker or another forward brought in myself sa, but that i suppose would only happen if we get rid of some fringe players and so that would mean towards the end of the window mate..

3.) 15 Jan 2021 09:10:01
I can’t see it myself.
If they sell kenny we are left with Coleman - likely needing x2 RB in the summer.

If we sell Kean and Toson we are left with injured DCL and Simms

I think we need a RB and forward if we sell. Different if we were 10th - no way we should sell Toson unless we have someone to bring in (or cancel Kean’s loan which is never going to happen)

Sell - Kenny, Besic, Bollasi, Kean, Walcott
Magic if we could get Aaron’s in and loan him back til end of season to Norwich

Sell Toson if we can get a forward in (who is better than Toson - Josh King / Milik (Milik for me)

In summer sell Delph, Davies, Pickford Beni sigi

- address Richarlison if not putting effort in still (wonder if he has been injured last few games - he looks unhappy though) - saint Maximim from NUFC could be an option as well ascGordin coming through

Aarons Kean Mina Digne

James Allan Decore Saint maximum

? (Or James here and would need a RW)

Milik / King.

4.) 15 Jan 2021 09:18:26
I am obviously hoping it's not true as i think another forward is a must but think the summer might be our best bet.

5.) 15 Jan 2021 09:20:22
I think we may still do business.
Depends on who we can get rid of, and who’s available. If the right player was available, I’m confident that Brands/ Moshiri would move on it.

6.) 15 Jan 2021 09:56:28
We’re reportedly close to signing young Bayern striker Joshua Zirkzee on loan with a view to a perm. If true it looks like a fantastic deal by Brands.

7.) 15 Jan 2021 10:37:49
I would also love to see a couple come in just can't see it happening with the squad we have at the moment. Even if we sell Bernard, Kenny and Tosun if everyone stays fit we do have enough short term. So I can see why there may be a reluctance bring in additional players this window.

8.) 15 Jan 2021 12:55:35
Your missing godfrey he isn't even on ya bench he has been are stand out 👍🏻.

9.) 15 Jan 2021 13:19:44
Yeah that’s a mistake - Godfrey Kean hollgate Mina
I’m happy with any of them being in the middle.

10.) 15 Jan 2021 22:10:29
Just throwing it out there, do we need a right back? I was thinking Aaron's would be a great addition however, branthwaite just gone on loan to Blackburn (looks a quality future CB) leaves us with mina and keane who are both playing well and holgate and godfrey, however am I right that godfrey can play RB? (Could be totally wrong as I know he has covered for digne) digne is our 1st choice lb but the young Frenchman seems like a quality understudy. Holgate can play rb? Maybe Ancelotti wants to adapt him to play there?
Now thinking rb isn't actually a priority (again forgive me I could be totally wrong lol)
I'm not an advocate of pickford but he's been ok of late, Olson good understudy.
Still think we are missing a midfielder with some quality to unlock a defence and obviously a striker or forward that can play across a front 3.
Dont think sigurdsson or davies are reliable enough. Iwobi having a stormer means i think the following will go (eventually! )
-Kean to psg
-Bernard not cut it and iwobi keeps him out

I don't rate davies or sigurdsson but I think those above will go way before sigs and davies. I think Ancelotti is getting a tune out of sigurdsson and using him quite well. I think the reality is he's going nowhere as he can be utilised within the squad and we will never recoup anything like the 40 odd mill we paid for him!

11 Aug 2020 12:36:18
Eds, do you think we would possibly go for the likes of Lundstrum from Sheffield. Young hard-working midfielder and played better than most of our lot last season.

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure what you mean by "the likes of" - do you mean ex-Everton players?}

1.) 11 Aug 2020 14:44:39
Sorry, should just have put his name and not likes of. I was wondering if he would be of interest to Carlo/ Brands with his work rate and already played in PL.

{Ed002's Note - That I don't know, but: John Lundstram (CM) Newcastle, Brighton and West Ham are interested at the right price.}

2.) 11 Aug 2020 23:15:58
I would take his meaning to be a young hard working midfield in his type that has been relegated and wants to stay in the prem and more pointing to are we interested in him rather then a flippant come back.

08 Aug 2019 10:33:35
A few reports saying we will move for Steven Bergwijn if Zaha does not materialise.

06 Jan 2019 10:44:41
Seen someone post about fans getting in late, again we let ourselves down with another ticket fiasco. The number of people by me (Upper Gladys) and myself included who's seat had been resold even though I am in Autocup scheme was a joke!

1.) 06 Jan 2019 12:16:03
As opposed to Bullens mate on New Years Day (Normally sit in Gladwys) , there were not quite but just about whole rows empty.

Job done, but they do make us sweat for it.

05 Oct 2020 16:04:50
Watching sky and it gets better every time when they say "Its the League Leaders that have done biggest deal today"

{Ed025's Note - yeah its great bobslad..

05 Oct 2020 08:40:58
Just being greedy now but would take 2 more as well as Godfrey today.

10 Feb 2018 18:19:34
I won't properly relax until we are totally safe and its then that i try and put things into perspective but one thing i do know already and that's we are extremely lucky to have bagged Theo. How the hell there wasn't a big queue for him amazes me.

1.) 10 Feb 2018 18:36:39
As you say mate a real bargain,

2.) 10 Feb 2018 21:17:10
It is all to do with perspective. Walcott in my view would make an excellent No: 10. As it is (and he and Allardyce hinted thus) his belief and Sam obviously agrees is that he can play all across the front line. Mr Wenger, (who I will not argue with) thought otherwise.

3.) 10 Feb 2018 21:33:08
Pleased to have been proved wrong about Walcott. I said we should swerve him because I thought he was injury-prone and overrated, but he’s looked fantastic in the few games he’s played for us so far.

Best signing we’ve made in a long time, particularly given that he was one of the cheaper ones we’ve made.

Still can’t quite believe I’m saying £20m was a cheaper signing for us. Oh how times have changed.

31 Jan 2018 22:36:23
How much ground did Gana Gueye cover tonight, nearly every second ball was his. If he could find a settled partner it would be great.

Would take Grealish all day long but don't think we would be in with a shout of getting him.

As for Villa finishing above Arsenal there is a chance they could do it. Some Arsenal fans want Benitez before someone else takes him.

It hasn't been a secret that Brands job has been to offload and thin the squad. To me this bodes well for the summer as the last ones we don't need will be gone and Carlo will attract more players he wants.

Just gutted we can't be there to get behind them for the push to the end of the season.
