Newsnow fake? Aston Villa breached PSR £119 mill so £14mill over but will face no punishment?

1.) 07 Mar 2024 18:27:40
News now just scrapes all the Everton related articles, which includes a lot of cluck-bait.

I'm not going to pretend to have any real understanding here, and I've not read about Villa, but I believe some costs don't get counted in the PSR calculations i. e. some infrastructure investment. So I suspect the overall figure quoted may be accurate, it depends on how those loses were made up.

I'm trying my best to ignore the whole thing, what will be will be.

{Ed002's Note - You are right - people on the Everton page don't understand. You are also right there are exclusings - including infrastructure costs. Everton's issues were elsewhere - as I have explain repeatedly over a number of years.}

2.) 07 Mar 2024 19:15:02
Yep totally agree Toffe-Jase, did read the article on BBC yesterday about Villa and their losses tho runs over a 3 year and did state they made a small profit the season prior, media just seem to want confuse us all who don't fully understand, read elsewhere Chelsea in a massive mess, sure they will be others, as you see what will be will be pointless worrying about it.

3.) 07 Mar 2024 19:53:49
I’m worried about it all, really worried. Borrowing money to pay wages? It’s too frightening to comprehend. Jumping into bed with 777 is really not the answer, but if they don’t take over the club then administration is a real worry.

4.) 07 Mar 2024 20:12:35
Mocker7712, a lot of these online articles are 'written' by kids who probably get their info online, cluck-bait in my opinion. But you're right, without a proper article with all the facts, it confuses fans.

Totally agree Ed002, Everton's problems do lie elsewhere which you have explained, and stresses me the F-Out, but is much appreciated all the same.

5.) 07 Mar 2024 21:23:06
To a certain degree am happy that all these clubs are showing massive losses including us. As ordinary Joe blogs in the street people we rightly so vent at the obscene money involved in wages, transfer fees etc etc, wanting something to give and break it, well this is the start, football like a lot of things in this world needs a reset, love Everton Football Club, but we ain't the club I grew up supporting and football isn't the sport of the people nowadays, sport in general is going to pot with money, it's all very unbalanced and massively out of sync with the common man. If it ain't a relegation battle it's FFP if it ain't that it's the Takeover All very draining so I've decided what happens, happens. Best way.

6.) 31 Mar 2024 09:45:08
777 are in debt to redbird for 47 million and have not paid a penny back and looks like a court case down the line . The more you look at it the more 777 are not the right buyers for your club but good luck blues.

Ian Wright says Evertons composure and decision making in front of goal is letting them down. No rubbish Ian!

03 Mar 2024 20:37:37
Reckon 18 pts needed from 11 games (leaves us on 37 with 6 points deduction incoming). Where are they coming from?

1.) 03 Mar 2024 22:12:55
I can only see 12 HK. We need some clubs around us to have a worse run than we do and, hope and pray out next punishment is deferred.

2.) 04 Mar 2024 01:37:30
Hopefully the punishment will be suspended as two of the three years have already been dealt with.
I think 10 points will then see us safe.

Everton open to handing Deli Ali a new contract. Fake News, wind-up or what!

1.) 28 Feb 2024 12:32:23
Would all depend on what the terms of the deal were.

There’s a player in there and he’s struggled with injuries since we signed him - would be good to see him play for us particularly after we’ve supported him through his troubles and injuries.

However would have to be at a much reduced wage to make it a viable option particularly if he remains injured.

2.) 28 Feb 2024 13:01:39
Why would we want to offer him a new contract if he remained injured GD?

Bonkers to think like that, he needs to warrant one and be hungry to earn one.

Wanted it to work for Dele but it hasn't nor seems likely, best to move on for both parties, we can't do sentiment in our current situation.

3.) 28 Feb 2024 13:52:22
Not for me the day he turned up in a Rolls Royce for training at Finch Farm said it all best we get rid.

4.) 28 Feb 2024 13:58:28
I’m with Mocker.

I think Moshiri and Bill saw him as a James sort of signing but he never lived up to the hype and robbed us of £100k a week for the pleasure. He’s still doing it until the contract runs out.

5.) 28 Feb 2024 14:53:53
Would like to see deli get giving a try but can't see it respect to the lad honestly but i think we would save wages if we let him go same goes for gomes holgate maupay keane.

6.) 28 Feb 2024 15:07:02
Get rid. He was a waste in Turkey. Remember the day he turned up looking like a hippy at Goodison!

7.) 28 Feb 2024 15:43:02
Get rid, but not because of a Rolls Royce.
He could drive a spaceship as long as he had an impact on the pitch. He represents everything that has been wrong with our club since Mosh came in. Overspending on underperforming players.

8.) 28 Feb 2024 16:31:52
Only contract we should even consider would be a pay as you play heavily incentivised deal.

{Ed025's Note - just get shut and have done with it for me Gibbo, total waste of space if you ask me mate..

9.) 28 Feb 2024 18:15:42
Need to end this home for the injured.

{Ed025's Note - im with you Woburn..

10.) 28 Feb 2024 18:52:55
Sorry mocker - meant that if he was still injured but nearing a return then the contract would have to reflect that like a pay as you play deal as Gibbo suggested.

11.) 28 Feb 2024 18:59:02
Even though he has struggled with injuries and has mental health issues, it's hard to have any sympathy for him.

The lad had talents that set him above most players but he has done his very best to blow them.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely WT..

12.) 29 Feb 2024 01:35:00
Saw this again on BBC transfer gossip for Thursday. If we offer him a contract given all the problems and issues we’ve got going on off the field concerning wages being too high, I’m done with this club. Seriously, he never plays and is one of the top earners at the club. Whoever dreamt up the initial deal needed their head to be given a wobble; whoever offers him another contract needs their head to go to the chop! Absolutely idiot decision making from the club if there is any truth in this.

13.) 29 Feb 2024 10:03:19
If there is any truth in this Ali new deal, who at the club would be responsible. Whoever it is wants a long think about what has he produced since he arrived and at what cost.
Maybe a deliberate leek from the club to sound out fans reactions to the idea.

{Ed002's Note - The club do not "leek" anything to get fans opinion. At the moment the club cannot afford to play him.}

14.) 29 Feb 2024 11:15:41
Surely in any walk of life you get a longer contract as a result of your performance at work. He is no longer PL level and needs to either move down 1-2 leagues or see if any takers abroad.
Only exception to that with Deli is if he has got over his mental health problems which as a result improve his standard and only club will know that.
Think we still have a duty of care as he appears to be quite vulnerable.

15.) 01 Mar 2024 07:43:00
On grass and training. The Club will see how he is doing. My question is not about his past but about his present and showing the coaching staff consistency. His injury problems are a concern. Ed says the Club cannot afford to play him. How much would they have to pay Spurs.

16.) 01 Mar 2024 10:12:48
At the moment it’s about 10m. That’s 10m we don’t have.

Nobody knows for certain, but over the months and years various rumours/ stories have come out. Moshri had advisors that gave him bad advice. Moshri did not listen to Bill or the board (Benitez etc.) I honestly believe that Moshri plus A.N. Other has / had the best interests of the Club at heart, but Moshri in particular was somewhat naïve. My other belief is the Government sanctioned a source of substantial funds crucial to the club. loans ergo had to be begged from other sources, perhaps not as closely linked with our owner. Us older ones certainly do not would not rejoice in Liverpool being harshly treated (being beat on the field of play a different thought entirely LOL).

1.) 21 Jan 2024 23:52:54
I don't know how to understand this post.

2.) 23 Jan 2024 09:58:00
1. Moshri had bad advice.
2. Bill tried to advise but was ignored.
3. Suspicion that financial support interference was by another party (reported on widely)
4. Everton lost an important source because of sanctions.
5. A comment suggested that Everton supporters would rejoice if Liverpool were punished. I rejected that same way as Liverpool do not rejoice in our punishment. Does that help Wolf73.

19 Jan 2024 08:56:51
We know the investigative Commission is independent yes? So how, as is being reported can the Premier League set a time line.

1.) 19 Jan 2024 22:45:27
Prem are bias to the big boys, Regardless of the efc situation. How can the top 6 teams at this time agree to split from the prem which would ruin the english league, absolutley desteoy thr prems rev3nue. The geta punishement they choose. Aslong as it does not affect the fans. Do not tell me there is no agenda, let me ask would we be able to choose our punishement if it everton, villa, forrest. Hell no. We would be kicked out.

Obsession with age. 31 is not even peak in a 'normal' 31 year old. These players have nutritional, physical coaches and doctors.

Yes a big wage but a valuable player. Onana and Keane would make more sense.

If they are continuing to spend 90 percent of income *I presume Club income includimg loans* then yeah that could be a good assumption. Plus unless it is a genuine 'secret squirrel organisation' (Guernsey Blue) , there are always leaks and whispers.

Depends what the charge is surely. I don't see the need for winding up Everton fans either.

{Ed002's Note - Nottingham Forest understand their charge completely - Everton fans pretty much don't understand anything to do with the finances at all. Idiot.}

One Eds response is it is a different period. Is it true though that the 'different period' includes 2 accounting seasons that featured in the last period. If that is true, surely our Club could be sanctioned twice in the same season.

Said the other day Patterson is a better wing back than full back, can also cross a ball. Dyche is old school set in his ways, no imagination.
