I have just read on the Everton rumours now site an article about the popularity of the Premiership clubs owners conducted by the Daily Mirror.
I was surprised to find Everton owner Mr Moshiri in 19th place with only Southampton owner below him.

I don't know how this poll was conducted, but from what he has done for the club in 5 years I would have him certainly in the top half of owners.

Think it shows to ignore what polls predict for whatever they are conducted. They are like statistic in that you can manipulate them to prove whatever you want.

Please keep up the good work Mr Moshiri.

There are a few of our fans that are not entirely endeared to Moshiri but I'd doubt that there is so many as to place us 19th. As you mention, things like these can be served to suit whatever narrative they are trying to get across. I'm happy that we have FM and I fully expect him to get it right in the end. As long as he learns from his mistakes then all is good.

2.) 02 Oct 2021 13:30:10
He certainly doesn't deserve to be 19th BUT

Plus points - he's spent a fortune

Negatives - He's wasted a fortune
He hasn't a clue how to run a football club

Love his willingness to invest but just wish he had the sense to invest wisely instead of mis-managing.

3.) 02 Oct 2021 14:12:37
If he had a clue we've spent enough to have a decent side. Instead we've got one of the weakest squads in the PL.

4.) 02 Oct 2021 14:49:36
Yea and on that basis it's extraordinary how Rafa has started the season with the injuries on top of a very small squad!

5.) 02 Oct 2021 15:19:21
Think the club is being run well. It’s the purchasing that has been questionable.
However, what’s the guy to do if we change managers every five minutes. With each manager wanting certain players. So no team continuity.
First- have a manager for the long term. Build a firm first team base. Strengthen in positions where we are weak.
Oh wait, isn’t that what we’re doing now?

Today's game v Norwich is one we should win comfortably under normal circumstances. But having the injuries it could be one of those banana skin matches as Norwich sooner or later will win a match.

IF Everton are comfortable after say 65/ 70 minutes would like him to give one of the young ones a run out up front to get experience and not be under pressure. Fingers crossed.
Good result today at Old Trafford by Villa.

Something I can't understand is why did they release Virginia the 3rd choice goalkeeper last season, and not promote him to 2nd choice. Yes he probably needed more game time and experience but if my memory serves me correct he never let the club down when called upon to deputise for Pickford. I think he is better than what we've got and can only improve given the opportunity.

Some half hearted can't be bothered attitudes around. Those who have been bench warming should have given 100% to show Rafa what they are capable of.

Brian21

{Ed025's Note - they shown exactly what they are capable of brian...absolutely nothing mate..

Spot on Ed ???.

Begovic is going to be running Steklenburg close for our worst ever no 2.

Does anyone know when a club signs a new player do they have access to a players previous medical history or it just a case of the player passing the clubs medical examination and known injuries. If nothing else Everton FC should now be extra cautious in future signings from that point of view.

Support Rafa, the only man for the job in my mind and a very big job on his hands to keep the club where they are, never mind catch up with the rest.

Yesterday's Villa match was a clear example where Rodriguez should have been fit enough for selection but unfortunately has a muscle problem. Doesn't go on to say which muscle.

This witch hunt is getting ridiculous. Yesterday, we had how many players out with injury? And you want to focus on just one?
Obviously, the club and the physios are lying just to give James an excuse not to play ?.

2.) 19 Sep 2021 18:33:51
Blue potatoe it’s not a witch-hunt and not suggesting medical staff lying as you say, just question their commitment to their colleagues and the paymaster. By coincidence Jordan Pickford at a sellout Gerry Cinnamon concert in Newcastle last night. Hope he didn’t damage his shoulder. Just google Jordan Pickford in Newcastle, For the story. Also hope he bought his ticket since he picked up the injury as it was a sellout.

3.) 20 Sep 2021 13:13:08
Fair enough, Brian21, when I first read your post it seemed it was directed at only one player even with another five of the team out!
I was thinking more along the lines of people wanting to rip into James when the likes of Gbamin have played less games over a longer period. Looks like James could finally be on the move today, that's one less injury to deal with every week!

{Ed002's Note - There is agreement over the JR move between the agent and the clubs (although for Everton this is simple) and it awaits a medical and the agreement of the player plus International clearance.}

4.) 20 Sep 2021 15:57:01
Thanks for the info ed002. Let's hope they can come to an agreement soon either way.

Sir loin, I’ve just read on the Everton rumours now pages that Dumfries has stated he has a preference to go to Milan. To me that says Everton are not his first choice, unless trying it as a bargaining ploy for more money. If Everton are not his first choice best to forget and look elsewhere.

Maybe plans to sign Romero as well and sell Pickford. Then would have 2 good deal keepers, Romero first choice and money in the kitty for other players.

Good post Wakka. Did you see the looks on Bill Kenwright when Sky put the camera on him. Could have turned milk sour.

Maybe you are right Chris, but the club don’t seem to be getting value for money on the pitch.

What I find hard to accept is that Farhad has been at the club for 5 years building up his share. With him being a Chartered Accountant I would have expected the finances to have been improved at an earlier date. Am I missing something.

Well said Bob, everything looking positive so far and if they can improve last seasons home form which they will and maintain the away form then it’s all good.
