Who are our realistic Jan transfer targets?

Bunkbeds

1.) 14 Dec 2024 09:34:39
Who knows ??‍♂️.

2.) 14 Dec 2024 10:13:44
Ask our DOF BB. Hmm now who realistically will be our DOF by January? ?.

3.) 14 Dec 2024 19:30:50
We need all the parts of an attacking unit to start. Maybe keep Ndiaye.

4.) 14 Dec 2024 20:16:04
I am not sure of names like but ideally I'd want:
A striker
A RW
A LW
A CM
A RB
A LB

That should probably do us.

{Ed025's Note - best of luck with that Chris..

5.) 15 Dec 2024 10:34:19
Couple of those could be filled with the Shworth click bait articles referencing Ashworth would look to since Tariq Lamptey, Evan Ferguson and Julio Enciso.

6.) 16 Dec 2024 07:08:41
It's crazy to think how many aren't up to the job Ed. We've basically got a GK, 2 CBs and some 3 CMs and 1 forward player at start 11 quality. And I am sure some would argue that the CMs aren't starting 11 quality.

{Ed025's Note - im sure TFG will want to change quite a lot Chris but that will be over a number of windows mate, it will also be decided by hopefully the new manager and possibly new DOF, this is no quick fix though..

30 Aug 2024 11:57:30
Billy Gilmore is available for £15m, Napoli are favourites but would be a good signing for us if we're interested and able.

Bunkbeds

{Ed002's Note - Everrton has no interest.}

1.) 30 Aug 2024 12:21:12
O'Reilly got a bad injury midweek so unlikely he will move now.

02 Jan 2024 12:05:39
Talk of Jesse Lingard coming in as freebie.

Bunkbeds

{Ed002's Note - Jesse Lingard (CM/AM) Free Agent and of little interest to Premier League sides. Options potentially in the Middle East and the player wants the MLS. Offered to Lille and Marseille - but a move to France is fraught with non-European issues.}

1.) 02 Jan 2024 13:14:21
Did well at Wham and made me slightly gutted we didn't win that race. No show at Forest. Was it an attitude problem or was he not deemed good enough? Seemed a big drop off either way from the season before being one of Whams best players. Can't be any worse than Danhoofer or can he? These seem to be the type of deals we are shopping at these days. Creative punts with minimal outlay and short contracts.

2.) 02 Jan 2024 13:40:42
Didn't know that FBS. I know they won the xmas chart race.

3.) 02 Jan 2024 16:50:13
Back up for Doucoure by the looks.

4.) 02 Jan 2024 18:24:57
Could have done with him Last Christmas ?.

{Ed025's Note - love it Woburn..

5.) 03 Jan 2024 13:51:28
Any thing lingard did was 3 years ago, since then he has done nothing, 31 and hasn't played regularly for how long now, another deli, plus I've also read we are not intrested, we have an intrest in bownhil but that's also as a loan, but would see Burnley slowing it unless we would pay a sell on fee after his contract runs out this season.

6.) 04 Jan 2024 12:46:16
Its just "careless whispers" from "bad boys", just "wake me up before they go go"

7.) 04 Jan 2024 14:19:59
Ignoring the terrible jokes above, we aren't going to sign someone with ridiculous wage demands who wouldn't be match fit til April.

8.) 05 Jan 2024 08:39:05
Actually Yorkshire Toffee that sounds exactly like something Everton would do lol.

9.) 08 Jan 2024 16:26:15
Rather have Jessie from toy story.

21 Aug 2023 10:34:56
SKY reporting Gray deal agreed with a Saudi club, but can only leave once we have a replacement in.

Bunkbeds

1.) 21 Aug 2023 10:56:59
Should be gone by January then.

2.) 21 Aug 2023 12:04:57
Is that Jan 24 or 25 JB?

3.) 21 Aug 2023 12:26:21
That’s good news Bunkbeds Sean will either get Gnonto or similar with the cash, at last new faces.

4.) 21 Aug 2023 12:29:01
Can't go until a replacement is found! That will be difficult finding someone else who can't hit the back of the net. Get rid now, save the salary, and give a youngster the chance.

5.) 21 Aug 2023 13:48:34
Read he's not up for a Saudi as his young family won't go there. He wants a English club?

6.) 21 Aug 2023 18:11:46
Won't get Gnonto. I read the same as FBS.

7.) 21 Aug 2023 22:02:53
So sell Gray bring in Hudson Odoi? Both the same type of player. So where’s the improvement?

8.) 21 Aug 2023 22:38:41
Mate of mine is a Leeds fan and apparently Gnonto has no release clause went from pushing for the move to saying he didn’t want it today. Apparently he reckons another PL side is interested. Don’t really blame him as he probably doesn’t want two relegations in two seasons on his CV.

22 Jul 2023 17:46:36
Cannon having pictures taken with PNE fans at Deepdale, really hope it's only for a loan.

Bunkbeds

1.) 22 Jul 2023 17:55:03
And Maupay was crap against Wigan. I just do not know what Managers see in him.

{Ed025's Note - nor me mate..

2.) 22 Jul 2023 19:25:48
Ashley Young man of the match according to the Liverpool echo.

3.) 22 Jul 2023 20:46:53
They see that he’s our only fit striker?
Unless you count Cannon. Frustrating.

4.) 22 Jul 2023 21:48:17
Very frustrating mate we need a forward we’ve not replaced Lukaku and I know some on this site don’t agree.

{Ed025's Note - i think we all agree we need a forward penysarn, in fact we are desperate for one, will we get one?...who knows with this lot in charge, Danjuma may come in but we need someone who knows where the back of the net is and is not injured all the time, but knowing us we will stick with Maupay mate..

5.) 22 Jul 2023 22:35:50
I’m fearful that you are right Ed25. It’s hard to believe we have still not learnt any lessons. I can only hope we buy someone outright and get in another on loan.

{Ed025's Note - spend what we can on a forward and i will be happy BR, the rest we can make up as we go along, pay someone to take Maupay and throw in Godfrey for free and the future will look rosy mate..

6.) 22 Jul 2023 22:38:42
Even if DCL had been for the last few years, we’d still have been short, and we’ve signed dozens of players in that time. I’m not a manager or a DOF, but I’d have sorted that problem out a long time ago. I know a good number 9 is hard to find, but we’ve not even taken a punt on one.

7.) 23 Jul 2023 13:10:13
Let’s see how we look when everyone is back like Garner and Branthwaite and Gray .
We know DCL and Delle are on the mend from physical injuries
Gomez not sure why he didn’t feature but if he has an injury then fair enough but if he wants to go it makes sense for him to be left out.
I think Cannon must be going even though he has an injury you’d think he’d have been at Finch farm or watching us from the dug out. SD said he wants four in well that’s two done two to go and still early days.
Stay positive blues
UTFT COYB.

8.) 23 Jul 2023 13:41:00
Maupay has got to be the worst striker I have ever seen in an Everton shirt and that really takes some doing that does. I’ve seen some terrible strikers pull our jersey on but he really takes home donkey of the day award.

Just watched highlights and he’s 6 yards out, puts a volley 15 yards over the bar.

He’s 6 yards out and puts a free header 6 yrds wide.

Free shot on goal after good play, penalty spot. Straight at the keeper!

He’s so terrible at football! I can honestly say that my 5 year old son would have done better with all three of those chances!

If the wages and contract are sensible then Stones is a no-brainer. He is streets ahead in terms of quality, experience at a winning club.
P. Neville bought that same mentality when he came from Utd.
Can play RB, CB and CM.

Bunkbeds

1.) 03 Jun 2025 18:49:52
In an ideal world, maybe, but how many games has he missed over the last two seasons through injury? Given that, and the fact he is getting close to the end of his career, I reckon there must be better deals out there for us to pursue.

2.) 03 Jun 2025 19:04:31
He's had 4 different injuries this season that has kept him out for 6 months including his most recent hamstring injury.

It's a no brainer to stay 100 miles away.

3.) 03 Jun 2025 19:11:13
If the right conditions agreed he could easily be the next Barry.

4.) 03 Jun 2025 19:24:44
We have to stop buying players whose careers are on a down turn. As they get older the injuries last longer. Stones in his prime was a great defender, he’s no longer in his prime.

5.) 03 Jun 2025 20:21:06
Hard no for me sorry.

6.) 03 Jun 2025 22:06:33
He's definitely not the next Barry. In fact I'd take Barry over him now! I think he's still playing!

7.) 03 Jun 2025 22:45:46
You do realise the level he has been playing to us over past 6yrs+.

8.) 04 Jun 2025 06:58:32
So you'd put him in the team over Jarrad, Tarks or Obrein? Or pay him way over 100k a week to sit on the bench or the injury table? Aren't we trying to get away from this type of situation. DCL has played more games than him!

We've got some money and it needs to be an investment rather than simply burning it away.

9.) 04 Jun 2025 08:16:50
Think he’s spent the last few of those six years injured or on the bench.

10.) 04 Jun 2025 08:32:13
I get what Bunkbeds is saying, yet when he said ''level he has been playing'' there was a bit of a red flag and the term 'past tense' came up.
Plus BlueJohn more or less just wrapped it up anyway for me.

11.) 05 Jun 2025 01:20:09
Signing older players, on big money, on long term contracts, is exactly how we got into our present mess.
I don't think TFG, are daft enough to go down that path, but we will have to see, how much they listen to Moyes, or seek wiser council.

12.) 05 Jun 2025 09:08:57
Never once mentioned a long contract or silly wages, I said if it was a sensible financial deal. He covers rb, cb and cm. So yeah I'd take him on a short term deal.

30 May 2025 12:01:47
We have a huge amount of players leaving and thus replace.

Need 2 x keepers
2 x fb
1 x cb
2 x cm, maybe 1 more if Armstrong comes into 1st team squad
2 x forwards

Keepers
Forster as back up?
Other

Fb
Walker-Peters
Mitchell
Other

Cb
?
Keane new deal?

Midfield
Dewsbury-hall
Longstaff
Jorginio
Hamer

Forwards
Fellows
Ferguson?
Nkuku loan?
DCL new deal?
I don't know the overseas market as rarely watch it to be honest.

Bunkbeds

1.) 30 May 2025 14:49:13
No to forster he was shocking for spurs when he played all be it so was spurs. no to Keane unless he drops he wages massively. jorginio is going back to Italy i think but would do a job. DCL can go for me. i would take a punt on the others. i actually like the young wolves forward he started to look really good for them but we wouldn't get him anyway. Hojland from utd would be interesting think the nxt club he joins he will bang them in he is just in the wrong team. waiting for the pelters on that 1 ? ?.

19 May 2025 21:13:25
Gana was very good again yesterday be great if he agreed a 1yr deal.

Bunkbeds

1.) 20 May 2025 10:52:24
He has more bad games than good, time to move on.

2.) 20 May 2025 11:24:43
Who would you keep out of those at the end of their contract Sky? We can’t ship them all as that would leave a whole too big to fill with finances as they are. We don’t want to end up buying a load of free agents/ squad players like the ones we are letting go so we will have to give some of them a contract.

3.) 20 May 2025 11:38:59
I don't agree, I think he's had a pretty good season, and his stats would suggest the same. With a lot of change on the horizon, a few steady experienced heads will still be required.

4.) 20 May 2025 12:26:51
He should be kept one of our best players in our current Team.

5.) 20 May 2025 12:47:22
Gana has had a solid season skylark, not sure what you've been watching? He might be advancing in age but he still covers most of the pitch each game, that's more than some of the younger players! He does tend to give one hospital ball per game but, all in all, he's the one that I would like a. contract to be offered to. Are you mixing him and James Garner up?

6.) 20 May 2025 12:59:30
Can't agree with that. Gana has been brilliant this season.

"Fake news"

7.) 20 May 2025 14:32:09
couldn't disagree more Skylark

i think for every bad game Gana has he has 5/ 6 good ones

Everton's player fot he season by some distance for me.

8.) 20 May 2025 14:39:40
Gana definitely deserves another 12 months. Been great this season.

9.) 20 May 2025 15:57:49
Yep idrissa been bang on it this season.

How's everyone feeling about tmrw?

Bunkbeds

{Ed025's Note - tearful..

1.) 17 May 2025 19:38:52
Extremely sad ???.

2.) 17 May 2025 20:00:06
Not sure now it's staying for woman's football, it's a bit like splitting up with the wife without a divorce and moving in with a new girl.

3.) 17 May 2025 20:21:27
Sounds good to me Skylark.

4.) 17 May 2025 20:56:18
The fact it’s not getting knocked down has changed a lot got me. Didn’t need to rush into getting that tour done!

To me, it feels like moving out of home to your own digs but knowing you can still pop to your mum’s if you need to for a meal or two. Going to miss visiting the old lady but excited to see where the new place takes us. Just a shame about the name….

5.) 17 May 2025 22:51:18
Am I the only 1 that's made up to be leaving we've had 30 years of nothing would love to win the fa cup in our first year in the new ground.

A big part of having a superior stadium in financial terms means we should be in a stronger position to meet higher wages for our TOP players.
Considering DCL and Doucoure as probably leaving that free's up £220-240,000 a week.
