So apparently Lindstrom has said goodbye to his teammates and is expecting to sign for us this week, also expected in this week is Gnonto and Philips who will be a loan.

Big C

1.) 22 Jul 2024 17:13:20
Lots of risk there I feel. I would love Phillips to come in and find the form that he had a few years ago. He seems a Dyche type player so hopefully he could get him playing well again. I don’t know enough about the two, but hopefully the improve the squad. Need some fullbacks though and a centre back, at the moment Holgate and Keane are our back ups and Tarks is injured. /.

2.) 22 Jul 2024 17:15:01
All 3 once well regarded but all 3 have dropped off, but we must take risks, if even one of them works out we would be better for it I guess.

3.) 22 Jul 2024 17:52:19
Well it's all about improving the team. If these guys do that then it's well done Thelwell.

4.) 22 Jul 2024 17:57:10
Impressed with our new arrivals hope Lindstom and Gnonto are next, really pleased so far and hopefully a couple more at the back.

5.) 22 Jul 2024 19:29:51
I can't see us getting another center-back unless either Holgate or Keane are sold. We just can't afford to have those two sitting on the bench ail season with the wages that they are being paid.

6.) 22 Jul 2024 19:38:41
Hoping that Thelwell had identified some players that can improve us. Not an exact science of course, but we appear to be heading in the right direction, on the pitch at least.

7.) 23 Jul 2024 07:51:41
Lindstrom is a red aswell ???.

8.) 23 Jul 2024 09:51:37
we like the Centre half from Lyon, but imagine that's reliant as you say on one of Holgate/ Keane leaving, which is easier said than done.

9.) 23 Jul 2024 15:16:41
What’s he travelling by bicycle? Dragging this one out a bit.

18 Jul 2024 18:59:42
Richard Rios Colombian midfielder being linked as well any strength or knowledge on this one Ed’s please . Watching his videos he does seem to put himself about in the midfield and did score a Baines esq free kick and absolutely kunderthunts it in from miles out .

Big C

{Ed002's Note - Richard Rios (DM) Wolves and Arsenal have sent scouts. Leicester have spoken with Palmeiras but know a Work Permit may be a struggle to get for England, but are looking for potential Ndidi replacements. Real Sociedad considered him a Zumbimendi replacement but stepped away. A wildcard woud be Getafe.}

1.) 19 Jul 2024 14:48:43
Thanks Ed, top knowledge as always.

18 Jul 2024 16:47:27
Apparently this Lindstrom deal is gathering pace, only watched the videos but seems ok any knowledge on this one Ed’s . Thanks in advance as always.

Big C

{Ed002's Note - Jesper Lindstrom (AM/LW/RW) Joined Napoli from Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the 2023 transfer window after others interested sides stepped back. Largely a terrible season in Italy with the goals drying up completely - and Napoli want him moved on this summer but know they are unlikely to recover what they paid. Offered to several sides including RBL who know they will likely need a Dani Olmo replacement, to Everton on an expensive loan with an obligation to buy deal which will get them most of their money back and to Brentford.}

1.) 19 Jul 2024 14:49:52
Yet again thank you Ed.

14 Jul 2024 09:18:47
The Sunday Daily mail reporting we’ve reached an agreement with spurs that no fee due if dele resigns.

Big C

1.) 14 Jul 2024 10:37:33
If he resigns, we are fools. £100k to sit on the medical table and possible the bench with a few cameos. It’s not like he’s setting the world alight in training as we never hear about him or see him.

I hope this is just rumour and nothing comes of it.

2.) 14 Jul 2024 10:53:13
Was a crazy scenario. I can't imagine that the deal ever imagined us re signing him once the duration had elapsed. Obviously this was some sort of quirk. Glad to hear common sense has prevailed. And if the lads fit and the deal isn't crazy wages then he's more than welcome.

3.) 14 Jul 2024 11:23:16
He’s back in full training with the first team, Sean and Kevin must be confident he can play for us if the deal with spurs is true . Let’s face he was a great player and hopefully could be again.

4.) 14 Jul 2024 13:39:01
I hope he can recapture his best form but it seems like a long shot.
Definitely last chance saloon for Dele.

5.) 14 Jul 2024 14:30:01
It was last chance saloon when he signed for us. Now it falls into ludicrous and desperate. Given our PSR problems, we can not afford £100k a week on someone who doesn’t do anything.

If he goes on the bag 20 assists and 10 goals I’ll happily admit I was wrong but the kid will have to make a resurgence not ever seen before in the premier league and I think there are cheaper and less risky options out there.

6.) 14 Jul 2024 14:39:50
Maybe his pay has been renegotiated as well BR mate, would make sense.

7.) 14 Jul 2024 16:01:37
What would be an acceptable wage though GB? It would have to be pretty low with lots of bonuses to even think about signing again. He’s already taken us for a fair few million!

8.) 14 Jul 2024 17:25:24
Just to drop a fun bomb and step back and watch:
What would be the value of his motm performance in the Palace come back from 2 down at half time to win and seal the 3 points to secure another season in the EPL? Hmm? He. was pretty good in a few of those last games albeit from the bench on occasions.

9.) 14 Jul 2024 17:29:12
Maybe once we see what he is like we could negotiate, goodness knows he owes us big time mate.

10.) 14 Jul 2024 18:22:07
Well guys we can only hope that KT and SD do a comprehensive evaluation and only sign him on a low wage with added bonuses if he performs. It's really a crap shoot, if he could get back to anywhere near his best it will be looked at as a master stroke. On the other hand, well you can guess!

11.) 15 Jul 2024 22:03:39
What happened to in Dyche we trust?

12 Jul 2024 21:15:02
Doing a deal with spurs so we can resign Delle, Sean must have seen something in training . If he’s fit and his heads right he’s a player.

Big C

1.) 12 Jul 2024 21:32:54
He could be a great player for us, he also could be a dud as he has been since he signed, time will tell but I hope that we are not paying out too much for the trial.

2.) 12 Jul 2024 23:34:44
Is he still under contract at Spurs?
I keep reading he's a free agent.

3.) 13 Jul 2024 08:47:02
He’s a free agent FBS, but there are clauses in the contract he had with us which mean we would owe spurs a chunk if we resign him. Appears that we’re trying to renegotiate these terms. Makes sense as Spurs would get nothing if he signs for another team.

4.) 13 Jul 2024 09:16:28
We would still have to pay them the 10m if he plays so many games. That’s what the club are trying to negotiate on.

5.) 13 Jul 2024 09:43:08
That's absolutely mental. All of a sudden I have flashbacks of very early Dragons Den where someone would be offered a smaller deal and they'd turn it down only for one of the Dragons to use the expression "What's 100% of nothing? "
So does that mean if Deli signed elsewhere as a free agent, for any other club in the world, he'd be a free agent? Able to negotiate his own terms without any Spurs entanglement? So even if we signed him in 4 years time from say Wrexham, that original deals clauses would be due and kick back to Spurs? How is that even legally binding?

6.) 13 Jul 2024 10:40:22
Well as mad as it seems that’s the agreement the club made. Levy won’t let that go easy.

7.) 13 Jul 2024 11:16:47
If it's seven more games then we will be ok. Chances are he will only make five before being injured.

8.) 13 Jul 2024 12:26:28
Levy is a genius.

9.) 13 Jul 2024 14:19:19
He’s not a genius FBS; we are just fools!

10.) 14 Jul 2024 21:01:12
By the sounds of it no fee will be due and only a sell on clause. Dele also has agreed a lower wage.

I personally think, now he's shed some enormous baggage that I can't even imagine how he has coped in silence, that we may see a player again.

I'm absolutely able to give him a chance. He was magnificent in his prime and if anyone thinks back to the palace game when we stayed up, it was partly because of him.

Well now the euros are over the football world can concentrate on transfers ?.

Big C

{Ed025's Note - Amen to that Big C..

1.) 15 Jul 2024 09:06:21
I like the look of this Lamine Yamal chap, I reckon we should look to sign him….

2.) 15 Jul 2024 10:14:31
Ditto that Big C mate.

3.) 16 Jul 2024 08:29:35
Dyche wouldn’t play him he’s too young Swinners mate.

14 Jul 2024 09:15:34
Just my opinion, but I think DCL might stay once the ownership is settled and then he’ll sign. I can understand him not wanting to go through another season of uncertainty.
I hope he does as the possibility of him and Ndaiye with a fit and firing Dele behind them could be very productive.

Pickford
Coleman Tarkowski Branthwaite Mykolenko
Garner Gana McNeil
Dele
Nddaiye DLC

with a bench of
Harrison
Young
Chermiti
Possibly the lad from Chelsea Ugo?
Doucoure
Iregbunham

Possible fringe or going
Kean
Holgate
Beto
Maupay

We might have an okay season.

Big C

1.) 14 Jul 2024 10:43:31
That squad looks light to me Big C.
Need some more quality additions in most areas of the pitch.

2.) 14 Jul 2024 10:54:36
I like the player but surely a 4231
With McNeil and Niadye providing width high up with Dele sitting behind DCL.
ID also go with Patterson at starting rb.

13 Jun 2024 07:27:56
When you think that Taylor Swift is playing a concert at the other place, and the revenue that must be bringing in, I’m going to see the Foo Fighters on Saturday at the old Trafford cricket ground and the revenue that will bring BMD is just a big money machine . I mentioned in an earlier post the owner of Peterborough, Darra someone, was talking about us and he was talking about the premier league will soon be a trillion pound industry with the tv money from across the world it’s no wonder there are so many people swooping in. Ed2 warned ages ago about vultures and he was, as ever, right. I’m hoping Downing and Bell win out because at least they will at least care about the club.

Big C

1.) 13 Jun 2024 12:40:09
And when you consider the global appeal of the Premier League in the US and the rise of 'Soccer' it's easy to see why the Yanks are up for being involved. Only so many teams to go round.

{Ed025's Note - the problem with them buying us JB is that we are a basket case mate, riddled with debt and with a squad that needs a partial rebuild at least, we do have history on our side though and as a project would be well worth a look i suppose..

2.) 13 Jun 2024 17:59:07
The debt is the real issue isn't it, surely it’s going to be a factor in any take over negotiations and must be scaring buyers off.

Trying to rebuild a squad with no money too isn’t great.

3.) 13 Jun 2024 15:24:23
can't argue with that, Ed. Hanging on to Premier League status was important. Much will depend on the bid that Moshiri is willing to accept - the debt for any bidder is massive, but as you said, you're buying a club with a legacy and a shiny new stadium that will print money.

{Ed025's Note - the only think is that the stadium build is all on borrowed money JB, it will be a fantastic stadium but will have to be paid for eventually mate, my major concern is Moshiri though, he is still in discussions with 777 and wont seem to set them adrift which seems to suggest a link to Usmanov to me, the sooner we get new owners the better and lets hope they are the right ones..

08 Jun 2024 21:53:50
Looking at ssn transfers live blog and apparently Lukaku has a £38m release clause that Chelsea want met and not another loan .
Now finances aside just as pony of debate would you have Lukaku back, simple yes or no, hypothetical scenario.

Big C

1.) 08 Jun 2024 23:31:50
He's not the same player that we had. Think we had his best years.

2.) 09 Jun 2024 00:13:15
Point of debate ?.

3.) 09 Jun 2024 00:59:59
Affirmative no.

4.) 09 Jun 2024 07:15:27
Looks like he’s off to the Saudi league mate.

5.) 09 Jun 2024 08:07:16
No thanks.

6.) 09 Jun 2024 13:20:27
It would be a no from me bigc especially at that amount they are asking. Best years behind him.

7.) 09 Jun 2024 15:21:40
Old board would have brought him back?.

8.) 09 Jun 2024 20:15:27
Lukaku or Beto?

{Ed025's Note - none of the above for me BR, one has lost it and the other one never had it to lose mate..

05 Jun 2024 07:23:52
I was listening to Talksport on Monday; the White and Jordan show; but instead of them they had Sam Whatshisface and a guy called Darra, who I believe is the Peterborough owner, as guest presenter, he was excellent giving Matterface no let up about his comments about Everton and the 'Firesale' alleged comments.

However moving on from that they had Kieran Maguire on giving his knowledge of Everton’s financial situation and that we were approximately £750,000,000 in debt with finishing the stadium costs included.

Maguire alluded to that figure will put off prospective investors, but before he finished speaking, Darra the guest butted in and said "Bargain", he then went on about out stature, history, new ground and fan base, and said for a premier league club with all that as well it’s a bargain.

Whoever he was, he knew his stuff and was respectful of our great club, not all gloom and doom UTFT.

Big C

1.) 05 Jun 2024 08:34:39
Listened to it yesterday mate thought was good piece and fought darra spoke very well also if yourself or anyone else has spare 30 minutes check out yesterday on youtube with ped from toffee tv and sam matterface again fought was good insight UTFT.

2.) 05 Jun 2024 09:58:43
Wouldn't necessarily have to find all the money in one go. Pay Moshiri off, and negotiate new loans with others. Over time the stadium would go a long way to paying off these debts.

{Ed002's Note - This is misinformation - the debt is now around £1.2B including £450M owed to Moshiri.}

3.) 05 Jun 2024 13:19:53
Any chance of a breakdown of the 1.2billion Ed002.

{Ed002's Note -
£159 million – due to MSP Sports Capital last month
£225 million – due to Rights and Media Funding
£4-5 million – Metro Bank
£220 million – estimated payments into the club by 777 Partners
£450 million – shareholder loans from Moshiri

4.) 05 Jun 2024 15:41:09
So 1.2b out lay. Have a ground worth around 800m with potential to double match day income and be used for other ventures besides football.
Increased sponsorship and naming rights for stadium. Sounds doable to me, for anyone looking long term that is.

{Ed002's Note - There needs to be investment in the ground to finish it and Moshiri paid £500M or whatever he is now looking for.}

5.) 05 Jun 2024 20:56:16
He might be looking for it, doesn't mean he is going to get it.

I think it’s a loan with an obligation to buy for £25m next season, which I think means we still have a loan space left, probably for Phillips.

I think the 777 money is the reason being put forward however as I understand it Freidkin offered Moshiri £1 for something Moshiri wanted £50m for and the unresolvable issue is that either would budge . They will settle on a figure in between or someone else will swoop in with more money than friedkin and give Moshiri nearer what he wants.

If she’s a scouser then she’ll realise all along she’s really been a closet blue and she’ll realise her life now has focus and purpose . If she’s an out of towner then she’s a manufactured red and really has no true allegiances anyway, I’m sure she’s been a Newcastle fan until recently so it makes no difference. If she buys in she’s a blue.
