SSN transfer news reporting Hirving Lozano PSV has said its time to take the next step in his career, what do the Ed’s think the chances he could come to us with the Brands connection and if so how do you rate him and see him fitting in?
Cheers Ed’s
Big C.

Big C

{Ed001's Note - I can't tell chances, but Everton are interested.}

1.) 31 May 2019 18:46:18
He's said pretty clearly that he wants Champion's League football, unfortunately. Barca, Napoli, and United are also interested and the first two have CL football to offer. The Brands connection is our best hope for changing his mind and landing the player, but it's a small one. If we're willing to wait, maybe we can get him via our tried and true strategy of waiting for him to flounder at Barcelona and then swooping. :) The more Barcelona rejects we can get the better, imho.

2.) 01 Jun 2019 13:50:29
Barcelona certainly a step up from Man U.

21 May 2019 14:14:58
A pop up Everton related news was on my google home page suggesting Santiago Sosa from river plate was near for £13m and his agent was flying in, whoever HITC was the reporting source. I would paste the screen shot but don’t think I’m allowed copywrite etc
Big C.

Big C

1.) 21 May 2019 17:34:46
It’s a baffling one this Sosa stuff, seen a number of articles now with him mentioned as anything from a defensive mid to a central box to box type and an attacking mid depending on the source you read.
So basically none have a clue and some reference him as an alternative to Brahimi who I thought was of interest back in Koeman’s tenure so long gone.

2.) 22 May 2019 15:51:14
From everything I hear he will be in the u20 World Cup but is seen as a development player as opposed to a player ready to step into the first team.
Apparently tall lad that has good skill and distribution quality.
So I would not get to excited if you are expecting a first team addition.

21 May 2019 12:22:48
Santiago Sosa’s agent apparently on route to discuss £13m move to us from river plate. I read this on news item that pops up on my search engine .
Sorry if there was too much copywrite breech in my previous post Ed’s

Not too sure how we’ll get a work permit for him, apparently hasn’t made many first team appearances.
Onyekuru we’re still struggling to get a work permit for and he’s been out on loan playing regularly.

2.) 21 May 2019 13:14:09
If it's true doubt if we would get a work permit for the lad.

3.) 21 May 2019 22:09:38
Apparently they can get passed it through a 'special talent' permit.

4.) 21 May 2019 23:36:21
Apparently they're hoping the lad will fall into the 'Exceptional Talent' category which will aid his visa application. Also a lot of these Argies seem to have access to Italian passports via heritage. Suppose it's going to be a case of wait and see with this one.

5.) 22 May 2019 01:06:34
Not sure how the exceptional talent works but Onyekuru is playing for his national side, has collected a league winners medal with his loan club, surely now after two years in the waiting you would think one would be granted.

I am scratching my head to think of any other Premier league team has had a problem, obtaining a visa after 2 seasons.

31 Jan 2019 18:29:03
Whilst out and about today was listening to a sport radio station where they talk a lot 😉, anyway their London based reporter said Batshuyi has said he doesn’t want to go to West Ham or Spain and wants to go to Everton 😳🤷‍♂️It’s whether we’re prepared to buy him in this window, anyway just what was in the radio

1.) 31 Jan 2019 18:46:06
Just reported on ssn Everton have no intention of signing Batshuyi in this window
Big C.

2.) 31 Jan 2019 19:10:37
Apparently the his proposed move to real Betis and West Ham have fallen through because of his wage demands, he wants £160,000 a week not worth it in my view, Chelsea now looking to loan him anywhere, Spurs were offered him but did not want him either.

3.) 31 Jan 2019 19:23:22
160k a week?! He’d have to be on a free transfer to warrant that.

4.) 31 Jan 2019 19:28:04
Nobody is going to pay him $160,000 a week so he will be going nowhere. According to sky news he has only scored 8 premier league goals so we are better off without him.

5.) 31 Jan 2019 20:12:06
My sentiments mate go with what we have and re evaluate in the Summer.

{Ed025's Note - i was actually resigned to that from the start of the window GB..

6.) 31 Jan 2019 20:17:50
£160k a week? The world truly has gone mad. He’s not proved he’s worth 20% of that yet.

7.) 31 Jan 2019 20:41:34
True Mike mate as you say only 8 goals scored, not worth it.

8.) 01 Feb 2019 11:45:56
I hope on the summer we can do better than him, would only loan him as still unproven in the prem.

22 Nov 2018 22:46:45
Hi Ed’s, I seem to remember some previous mention of a striker a Mexican lad who plays for PSV that mr brands wanted to bring. Was that 2+2 by lazy journos as brands signed him previously, or were we interested and if so are we likely to try in January. Or have I eaten too much chocolate and had a sugar rush
Big C.

{Ed002's Note - Lozano is not a striker. I have explained in the past - try the search engine.}

Having woken up at stupid o’clock for no apparent reason I now find I have exhausted and possibly broken the internet trying to find something new in relation to suspected transfer targets for us.

I have viewed all videos of the various rumoured targets and got equally excited about everyone of them. I know it’s the clubs way to work in a dignified way behind the scenes and only announce something when it’s done.

but, argh for gods sake please hurry up I’m already bald and short of options as no fingernails left. Does anyone know of a support group or if therapy that’s available.

It's a force of habit at this time of the year isn't it Big C, here I am sat on my break in work checking the internet after I've checked it this morning, and no doubt will check again when I finish at midnight. Think I'm just happy we have Brands who has everything under control, though it is hard not to get excited about some of the names being mentioned, roll on transfer deadline day.

2.) 15 Jun 2019 20:52:25
We have fellow posters camped out at Finch farm and John Lennon airport, nothing to report yet apart from a Yarmalenko look alike who turned out to be a baggage handler.

{Ed025's Note - riquelme is also working in duty free bignev.. :)

3.) 16 Jun 2019 21:01:49
I was trying to think of his name Ed, in the end brain freeze and had to go with Yarmalenko, least you’ve solved my grey matter moment.

SSN reporting that Mr Moshiri has bought out the Grantchester family shares and now owns approximately 77% of the club
Big C.

Big C

1.) 07 Jun 2019 11:19:40
We are stuck with Moshiri even more I hope he is learning from all the mistakes he has made so far.

2.) 07 Jun 2019 14:02:27
Difference is DC, in the past when we made mistakes we had to sell our best players. Now we don’t.

3.) 07 Jun 2019 14:48:07
The guy has been with us a few years and put 200million of his personal wealth into the club, is trying to get us a shiny new home and he gets comments like that.
It's embarrassing.

4.) 07 Jun 2019 15:34:39
The family he bought the shares off are the ones that any misguided ire should be directed at.

5.) 07 Jun 2019 18:27:21
Wow, I wasn't expecting any ridiculous posts from DC for another month or two! How anyone can have a moan about a man who has invested such huge sums into the club is beyond me! Get a grip mate it's pathetic and tedious the grief you give out.

15 May 2019 10:09:35
As transfer window opens tomorrow Riquelme flies into JLA 😂😂.

What do we think about this alleged quote from Troy Deeney at a Watford fan forum that they will kick the sh1t out of Everton.
Surely if he did allegedly say this then if the referee has any spine he should punish every heavy tackle against us as deliberate, furthermore should the f. a. take a stance as bringing the game into disrepute in that is this the sort of example a professional footballer should displaying. This has been widely reported I read it in the times and heard it reported on the radio. I am perplexed that this has not caused more of an outrage. I know it’s a physical game but surely this isn’t the right attitude
Don’t think I’m on a moral high horse and if I’ve missed this discussed already apologises Ed’s
Big C.

Big C

{Ed025's Note - silva has come out and said that hes ok with it Big C as it was just a figure of speech apparently mate..still in poor taste though..

1.) 08 Feb 2019 22:34:02
Don't give a monkeys to be honest Big C. Sorry to be old fashioned but it is a mans game. I actually like Troy Deeney, all the lad is doing is shooting it off. Anyway what has it got to do with the FA, isn't it possible to kick the Cr*** out of the oppostion and remain within the rules of the game.

2.) 08 Feb 2019 22:43:26
Even so though Ed, it is poor taste, and I get that’s how to rattle our team is to get physical as some of them aren’t up for a scrap, but to actually voice that you’re going to deliberately kick the opposition is bang out of order not to mention it shows a remarkable lack of common sense, Perhaps you Mr. Deeney isn’t the sharpest crayon in the box.

{Ed025's Note - its in poor taste mate but its just words in the end, if every time i said to my kids i was going to kill them...i would be typing this on a prison computer.. :)

3.) 08 Feb 2019 22:50:22
Troy Deeney looks like somebody has already kicked the rubbish out of him! In all seriousness though tomorrow will be a tough game with Watford out to prove a point over Silva and the home crowd being hostile. We need to remain focused and try and silence the crowd early on, if we show the same intensity that we did against City then we will create chances and cause Watford problems, especially on the counter.
I would like to see the same side as Wednesday bar one and that's Lookman for Walcott, keep Davies in the advanced role and leave Ricky on the bench as an impact sub, he play acts at the best of times and I feel tomorrow would be too much for him to handle from the home crowd. I'd go 4-1-3-2 Pickford, Zouma, Keane, Digne, Kenny, Gueye, Bernard, Davies, Lookman, Tosun, DCL. Let's set up to actually attack and have a go.

4.) 08 Feb 2019 23:03:30
I think the terminology should be taken into context on this mate. If he was talking to a journalist he would have said something along the lines of 'get stuck into Everton' which, to me at least, translates as pretty much the same as what he actually said. He was, in effect, geeing up his own supporters and identifying with the fans. I wouldn't get offended by his words, I want my team to do the same to his!

5.) 08 Feb 2019 23:33:06
Clout him back then. they are grown men. Feeney only tries to bully the smaller than him like the time last season when he tried to gauge Joe Allen's eyes out.

6.) 09 Feb 2019 08:40:08
You know what, I'd buy him in the summer and make him captain. He might only be good enough to play the odd game but boy would he have the players riled up for games.
He is exactly what our team is missing.

{Ed025's Note - if he was a bit younger i would agree with you mate..

7.) 09 Feb 2019 09:56:38
Don’t get me wrong, I get it, done it myself, and we definitely need to give it back but just the wisdom of saying it in a public forum and everyone is ok with it, authorities wise?

8.) 09 Feb 2019 12:39:32
Schurle may be a good shout.

9.) 09 Feb 2019 14:16:58
I like what troy has said, up to our players to give it back or shy away find out who wants it more today I think.

06 Feb 2019 21:55:00
I listened to the game on EFC Live and it sounded like we played well and at least got stuck in. Another shoddy refereeing performance with more strange decisions according to Snods and Alan Irving/ Irvine. Good to hear the fans supporting the performance and although we lost it wasn’t a spanking. Hopefully we can keep it up against Watford.
Chins up and go again COYB
Big C.

Big C

{Ed025's Note - it was a decent performance Big C, the lads gave their all and it was only a lack of quality that let us down mate...well that and anal marking..

1.) 06 Feb 2019 22:17:50
I think it was nothing more than an excercise in damage limitation they missed a lot of chances a couple of great stops by Pickford it could have been a lot worse.
All said though the effort was there but we are so lacking quality and of course confidence it’s a mountain we have to climb to have any hope of competing with the top 4!
Comments this week suggest Silva is the man long term especially to develop the young players so it’s possibly going to be more pain before we see the gain!

2.) 06 Feb 2019 22:20:19
Consistency is what is needed, performances like that (even with lack of quality as Ed says) , all season would have us on a lot more points than we have now. 26 games and zonal marking and team setup the same as at Hull and Watford, has Mr Silva it seems, still convinced his methods work. I hope he (like the reviled Big Sam, I am not one I hasten to add) uses video replays to watch back. In those videos he would see that once again from set play we concede. Our outfield and open play was full of determination tonight and as I said on the live chat, sort the zonal and set piece out and we should go on a run for the remaining games. Fingers crossed.

{Ed025's Note - we done well DFS and showed fight and commitment all night, if we get rid of that anal marking (its all my arse) then we will have a far better chance of getting more points on the board mate..

Having trawled the web it would seem that we’ve agreed a deal subject to a work permit being granted, sosa is currently playing for Argentina’s under 20 team at the World Cup . He may qualify for the work permit under the exceptional skills ( I believe that’s the rule ) as I understand it his agent is flying in to discuss terms, I am unclear if his dad is his agent. The fee is reported at £13m / €15m.
Hope this helps it’s all I could find . Going to do the dishes before I get a b0ll0cking off she who must be obeyed 😉
