In the words of the Beatles. let it be🤣. if we can punt him on that would be great news.

03 Oct 2020 17:30:47
Godfrey has passed his medical according to sky sports transfer live blog.

1.) 03 Oct 2020 17:50:46
Excellent. He should be announced in the next couple of days 🤣.

2.) 04 Oct 2020 09:04:22
Seen a pic posted on twitter of him leaving the ground after last night's match.

Second time I’ve heard this but now a mention in the echo live blog that Rafhina Alcantara RB from Barcelona now linked, Bara are willing to sell although a number of clubs interested.

Big C

1.) 03 Sep 2020 13:14:24
My bad he’s another midfielder so probably not coming to us 🙄.

2.) 04 Sep 2020 01:54:27
I think if we missed out on one of our three imminent signings then we would have pushed harder here.
His brother is likely moving to Liverpool too and I've been told they are very close, so would suit lifestyle.

02 Sep 2020 22:59:33
Hearing we are in talks with Man U over Sergio Romero as well.

Big C

1.) 03 Sep 2020 08:00:41
Reported to be heading to villa think we will need to sell before anymore incomings rumours Kenny could be back off to Germany on loan and Davies poss to Watford on loan with option to buy.

2.) 03 Sep 2020 09:29:32
Sergio would be a great addition for completion to Pickford, being reported this morning that up to seven of our Team could be up for sale, great times ahead mate, Carlo will sort out this mess.

3.) 03 Sep 2020 09:32:11
Agree Brank, there’s clearly got to be some outgoings lined up to fund the 3 potential midfield signings we’re about to make.

If Rodriguez is a loan with obligation to buy at end of it will take some pressure off the spending this transfer window.

However as Ed02 has said on numerous times we need to trim squad and wage bill to get back on track, adding 3 more players isn’t going to do that. Will be interesting to see who Brands moves on.

4.) 03 Sep 2020 09:41:06
I'm sure whatever schedule has been agreed for any transfer in and out has all been agreed to help circumvent our perilous FFP situation. I'd think a lot of loans if we can't sell. To be fair, just like what it appears we have done. It's all on lay away. We are banking on a successful campaign to fluff next year's budgets. There is zero way we've done a Portsmouth and Leeds (same guy wasn't it? Ridsdale or something? ) and blown the bank and the overdrafts and the credit cards, store cards and green shield stamps. Or have we? :/ what with the effective "holiday payment" C.V. has afforded us. Great opportunity to clean house.

{Ed001's Note - Ridsdale had nothing to do with Portsmouth.}

5.) 03 Sep 2020 09:45:44
True Gingerdan mate how long have we been saying we have so many average to poor players time to get rid.

6.) 03 Sep 2020 12:36:54
If we sign sergio it will be the end of pickford at everton he is twice the keeper pickford has been for the last 18 months.

7.) 03 Sep 2020 15:53:31
My bad ed01.

{Ed001's Note - no worries mate, it is just about the only club he hasn't messed up! He has managed to make a mess at Leeds, Barnsley, Bradford and Plymouth, just off the top of my head and is currently an advisor at Preston. You have to wonder why anyone would want his advice.}

Right I need someone out there with entrepreneurial skills or a t shirt printing business. I’ve had an idea for a T-shirt, I don’t want a cut or a percentage or anything I just need someone to make it so I can wear it . Right it needs a picture of Carlo and underneath a quote that is by James Elroy Flecker and is in the church at Hereford presented by the SAS, and it goes
“We are the Pilgrims, master; we will go. Always a little further “.
I hope any serving or ex SAS don’t object to its use if someone can do it but I think it embodies us blues.
Anyhow I think they’d sell, you can get the quote on a T-shirt but it’s more military based and we are but pilgrims following our Master Carlo.

On exercise once, set up nicely or so I thought one of them literally rose up out of the ground tapped me on back of head, I was never the same macho fighting man again. So they can keep their t shirts. :)

13 Nov 2020 21:28:41
Don’t know if anyone else has mentioned this but I’ve just realised what the cause of things going wrong in October was, DCL and Carlo got the player and manager of the month in September, kiss of death . October has just been announced so the curse is over.

Well with Leeds beating Villa tonight, we can only be overtaken by the neighbours if they beat Sheffield United by 7 so we should still be top by the time we start on Sunday UTFT.

Big C

1.) 24 Oct 2020 11:15:44
Think Leeds will catch a few teams out this season, I hope this season stays so unpredictable and a few teams upset the natural order, the alleged top 6 need bringing down a peg or two,

{Ed025's Note - its anyones league to win wolf, these are strange times and that goes for football as well mate...bring it on..

2.) 24 Oct 2020 12:55:39
It's amazing some of the results. I can't help think that it's because of fanless stadiums.

3.) 24 Oct 2020 19:05:20
I think we need a bit of patience to be honest. Yes we drew with Liverpool, no could of, would of, should of! But apart from them we haven't played anyone. We live in strange times, lots of teams are responding differently.

4.) 24 Oct 2020 19:28:44
? Spurs.

5.) 24 Oct 2020 19:31:09

6.) 24 Oct 2020 20:05:00
I understand what you are saying but we got a result against Spurs and also Palace who are looking stronger this season
You can only play/ beat who is before you and am glad we’ve not slipped up on any of those potential banana skins!

7.) 24 Oct 2020 20:07:44
Well actually Spurs away. So four points from two games against the "big six" teams.

05 Oct 2020 23:24:41
Sandro, not Sandra damn autocorrect,

Thought we’d moved the toffee lady on with that post Big C - then again we’re not likely to stoop as low as arsenal who in cost cutting measures got rid of their mascot yet are keeping Ozil in £300k per week - no class.

2.) 06 Oct 2020 07:28:24
Can't move him on if he doesn't want to go. Quite happy to stay on £300k a week. Paid a fortune to go to the Gym every day, walks and meals out with the 'Bird', sounds like my life (without the fortune) LOL.

3.) 06 Oct 2020 09:00:37
Hi Ginge you need to read my first post on banter two, which makes this one make sense .
Good one though😂.

4.) 06 Oct 2020 19:44:30
It’s alright the mascot is being furloughed out of Ozils £300k until the fans return. 😂.

05 Oct 2020 23:23:53
Robin Olsen Swedish international keeper 6’5” season loan in, Sandra contract cancelled and he’s signed elsewhere.

I’ve just watched the video reels and I know you shouldn’t base any decision on them but god I hope he comes to us in January. I’m that excited a bit of wee came out 😉🤣🤣🤣🤣.

When you consider our injury list and suspensions
Two right backs
Two centre halves
One left back
One defensive midfielder
One right wing / striker,

Plus we have people obviously struggling with injuries but playing and people coming back from injury and needing game time, and people playing out of position

I think we’re doing more than okay, previously with that many out we’d be relegation fodder,

We just need to survive the Newcastle game I’d be happy with any points we can obviously a win keeps us top and then the international break may just give us a chance to get people back and firing on all cylinders again

Big C

{Ed025's Note - yeah BigC we are doing very well considering, the players that came in last week though need to either step up or ship out, we cant afford passengers and i would sooner bring in the young lads instead of these prima-donnas mate..

Apparently we only appealed against the severity and not the card itself and they reduced as clear no intent.

Big Nev was at the time the best Goal keeper in the world, I remember Bobby Robson the then England manager saying he wished Nev was English, I ve said this before on here but Kevin Ratcliffe once said in an interview that in shooting practice at Nev he wouldn’t even use his arms to stop the shots he’d just throw his body in the way, and then Sir Alex said after the cup final, when Neville is in that mood nothing gets passed him. Even in the latter years after he retired and gone big I saw him in a charity game and he just walked around the 18 yard box and stopped everything just reaching an arm out . Total Legend, and he reckons Pickford is good and will get better🤷‍♂️.

They refused to let Ellis Simms go out on loan, I believe he’s done really well in the U23 s, so perhaps he might be used.

{Ed025's Note - 32 goals in 21 matches for the U23,s last year big C, thats some going by any standards mate..
