I am a bit puzzled about Jebbison.
I am just wondering what the Eds know and think about him.
I remember him scoring against us and then he seemed to disappear a little, I can't remember him tearing up the championship.
Can anyone shed some light on how he will drastically improve us as there seems to be a lot of excitement out there.
Please don't think I am being negative. I will support the lad 100%, just don't know a lot about him.

DuaneyBoy1878

{Ed002's Note - Daniel Jebbison (S) Everton interest went after Frank Lampard left but it may have returned as they struggle in the transfer market. Brighton and Union Berlin have a declared interest in the Canadian. Wildcard may be Borussia Dortmund or Bayer Leverkusen.}

1.) 06 Aug 2023 15:45:54
I'm with you on this one Duaney, I know stats don't tell the full story in terms of contribution to the team but strikers are judged on goals and his minutes per goal ratio in Prem and L1 are pretty much the same as Simms but Simms has done much better in the Championship
Simms - 1200 min 7G/ 2A
Jebbison-600 min 1G/ 1A.

2.) 06 Aug 2023 18:59:28
As Ed says (in subscript) we don't have a lot to offer or attract. All of that since Moshris' arrival of ridiculous offers and wages for mediocre (Moshris' advisor suggestions) players has for over 18 months now made huge teeth marks in our financial rear end which has effectively zeroed our credibility. Hard to do I know (and my criticism a bit ott) but maybe we need to temper our expectations. None of this Everton have gone for this 40 mill player or that essentially unobtainable.

3.) 06 Aug 2023 19:20:33
Don't think majority people think we genuinely are DFS. Just the usual NewsNow repeated posts.

4.) 07 Aug 2023 09:57:50
He can’t get into the Sheffield starting 11.

5.) 07 Aug 2023 14:59:23
Why would any team buy 2 youngsters for the future when we have no money and need players to come and be effective straight away, if he was in stead of the Portuguese youngster I'd understand, we need someone with a bit of pedigree, weather that happens or not is in the hands of the Gods, personally I think once the young guy signs that's us done, I just don't see who is coming who's better and for a low cost, what we have is what will have for the foreseeable future, unless one of out better players leaves, which would be stupid as we will need them to keep us up.
If we had any money at all, we would be trying our hardest to get them in now, where are they, paper talk is all it is.

16 Jul 2023 14:43:22
Just a thought on Gnonto. a relatively unproven, young forward who is an Italian International.
Shown flashes of his potential and makes you wonder why a bigger team hadn't come in for him?.
We have been here before haven't we?

DuaneyBoy1878

{Ed002's Note - They have.}

1.) 16 Jul 2023 18:25:44
They laughed at us apparently! Who knows whether we made an offer at all though. As Ed says bigger sides are sniffing.

16 Jul 2023 13:00:56
There are so many rumours and we have all been discussing them on here and I know this could be a near impossible question to answer. but out of Danjuma, Elanga, Gnoto, Piroe, Boniface who have heavily been linked, who out of them is a realistic possibility for Everton?
Many thanks in advance.

DuaneyBoy1878

{Ed002's Note - Arnaut Danjuma (LW) A mistake and will return to Villareal in the summer to be sold on. Player agent is trying to organise a move to Milan. Everton interest does not suit the player.
Anthony Elanga (LW) Could be priced out of a permanent move to Everton or Nottingham Forest - but may get a loan.
Wilfried Gnonto (F) Juventus have offered McKennie on a permanent deal for Gnoto. Manchester City want him as cover. Everton have made a low-ball offer.
Joel Piroe (S) Swansea are aware of the interest of Nottingham Forest and Everton and will sell if their £20M valuation is met.
Victor Boniface (S) Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt and Union Berlin are keen. Everton and Rennes have asked after availability.}

1.) 16 Jul 2023 13:40:02
Thank you for the quick and detailed answer Ed.

2.) 16 Jul 2023 14:45:45
Shows that he’s a player of good calibre if Cory want him, even as cover.

3.) 16 Jul 2023 19:52:42
Meant City nor Cory.

4.) 17 Jul 2023 22:09:22
A few women have wanted my Cory over the years ?.

5.) 19 Jul 2023 21:36:40
Well that review doesn't fill me with any hope for this window.

16 Jun 2023 08:11:17
Just seen that Everton have joined the race for Morelos.
I know Ed said there was no interest from Everton a few days ago, has something changed or is it simply click bait please?

DuaneyBoy1878

{Ed002's Note - Alfredo Morelos (S) Out of contract in the summer with a number of offers on the table. Perhaps Galatasaray or Fenerbahce will provide a solution? Cadiz offer an opportunity back in Spain. It is hard to see a PL club taking on the associated risk of the player. Porto interest has gone.}

1.) 16 Jun 2023 12:09:11
This is Everton though Ed if any prem club is stupid enough and desperate enough surely it’s us!

2.) 16 Jun 2023 12:45:21
I can understand people's reservations about him.
I just think on a free, probably not huge wages. with his past record clubs maybe be reluctant, this is the sort of low risk gamble maybe we should be looking at?
If he gets 10 goals as DCL's back up he is a massive upgrade on what we have got.

3.) 16 Jun 2023 14:00:31
He's basically a more violent Maupay.

4.) 16 Jun 2023 15:58:20
10 goals as DCL backup? How many you predicting DCL gets from the medical tent?

5.) 16 Jun 2023 16:40:09
No matter how much DCL is injured, if Morelos got 10 goals that is 8 more than Maupay and Ellis combined.
It would hopefully mean we could bring another stroker in for a fee.

6.) 16 Jun 2023 17:44:15
His goal record is decent. I would t be too upset if we took a punt.

24 Jan 2023 09:09:39
Sorry if this has already been answered. Is Danjuma still going to sign? Was he a Thelwell or Lampard signing?

DuaneyBoy1878

{Ed002's Note - I would expect him to.}

1.) 24 Jan 2023 10:40:52
He's already signed bud el bobble tweeted it yesterday just waiting for an official announcement and we know how long it takes the club to make an announcement ?.

2.) 24 Jan 2023 10:53:20
He’s a Thelwell signing. Lampard had nothing to do with it aside from probably saying “yes I’d like him too”.

3.) 24 Jan 2023 14:52:36
Looks like not then. Off to Spurs to sit on the bench with Richy.

4.) 24 Jan 2023 14:58:01
He's away speaking to spurs so that's him off.

I think we all know there will be changes for the Burnley game.
I would like to see Beto, Chermitti and Danjuma given starts.
Who else do you think will be given a chance guys?

DuaneyBoy1878

1.) 31 Oct 2023 09:39:49
Keane ?.

2.) 31 Oct 2023 10:47:28
I don't think he will go with both Beto and Chermitti to start but one of them plus Danjuma makes sense

Virginia in goal and a youngster would be nice too.

3.) 31 Oct 2023 15:15:18
I can't decide whether I want a strong team or not. Think I'd be happy with the same team as Sunday but with beto, danjuma and gana. Just to rest players and to get those 3 some match sharpness.

Be nice to give tarks a rest but the drop off to either Keane or Godfrey is so big.

4.) 31 Oct 2023 20:32:28
I would bring gana in for onana beto for dcl an danjuma for daucoura but i would also be happy if it was the same 11 against west ham winning games will give us confidence but there's also a quarter final at stake i will be going match tommorow so i'm hoping we can turn are home form round and put on a display COYB.

5.) 01 Nov 2023 02:54:30
I'd like to see Beto, Danjuma, Chermiti and Dobbin start. Agree gueye should start and rest Tarks. but for who?

6.) 01 Nov 2023 15:01:42
Personally I'd keep the back 4 the same, if we can keep the goals out we have a chance to win at the other end, I'd put gueue back in the side along with beto who I believe will start thata why he didmt come on at the weekend, also danjuma should come in for Harrison, I'd drop doucoure and play garner further up as he also has a goal in him .

07 Oct 2023 18:52:10
Brilliant result today, good response after last week.
Maybe this team does have the stomach for a fight after all.
Luckily I had the worst hangover of my life last week, the weekend was a blur and I just pretended the Luton game didn't happen?.

DuaneyBoy1878

1.) 07 Oct 2023 19:06:01
It was set up right with people in correct positions. Braithwaite was immense.

2.) 07 Oct 2023 19:14:52
Brilliant result bring on the reds, Harrison done well.

3.) 07 Oct 2023 19:38:17
Garner finally in the middle too. What a difference that makes.

{Ed025's Note - he’s really good there Swinners and should replace either gana or onana permanently mate..

4.) 07 Oct 2023 20:18:56
Don't take out gana or onana. Take out gana or gueye. Onana can be there for a long time gana was something, some time ago.

5.) 07 Oct 2023 22:10:49
Gana or Gueye? Is their two of them?

6.) 08 Oct 2023 00:08:21
Well Woburn, gana or Gueye? Both poor recently lol.

7.) 08 Oct 2023 01:07:54
was a joke woburn. glad gueye is on bench but should not be in first 11.

8.) 08 Oct 2023 09:28:53
Ok BBB thought you’d got a bit giddy with the win :)

07 Oct 2023 13:22:21
I am a fan of Sean Dyche. not sure there is a manager we could attract that could do a better job.
But that being said. Is this game as big a game for the future of Dyche as the last time Bournemouth came to town?

DuaneyBoy1878

{Ed025's Note - I fancy us today Dueney. We have to get a reaction to last weeks debacle mate..

1.) 07 Oct 2023 14:34:52
I think if we score first we could put a few on them however if they score first it could be a tricky game for us .

2.) 07 Oct 2023 14:29:43
I hope to god you are right Ed, if we don't get a result it might be time to panic.

31 Aug 2023 10:39:35
Why are people getting on Chermiti's case already?
Saying Cannon is better? Do we see them in training? The answer is no.
He is a kid in a new country, adjusting to a far more physical style of football.
We all said he is one for the future yet some arw washing their hands with him after one performance. even though he looked bright against Wolves.
Some of our fans are so toxic, it is going to be a difficult season.
Why don't we just get behind the team?

DuaneyBoy1878

1.) 31 Aug 2023 11:07:39
My thoughts exactly DB, we always need a whipping boy Keane, Maupay, Awobi now the new lad. I'm not saying the names mentioned are great players but they have the blue shirt on so will get my support when they play.

2.) 31 Aug 2023 11:14:02
If we all judged someone on their first few appearances then Maupay would be a fan favourite.

3.) 31 Aug 2023 11:24:01
Yep that’s for sure DuaneyBoy it’s the usual one or two who constantly moan on here, but take no notice he has to be given time as with all new recruits, am sure Sean knows why he was bought in that’s good enough for me mate.

4.) 31 Aug 2023 11:40:10
He needs time. Just like DCL did.

5.) 31 Aug 2023 11:44:06
Are people seriously critising Chermiti? Jeez he is a teenager in a new country and style of football. Utterly ridiculous.

6.) 31 Aug 2023 12:09:36
I’m sure he’ll improve, got to be a reason we paid £15m for a 19yr old.

Totally agree about getting used to a new league, new team and new style of play, however I was a little disappointed with his first touch and I’m not sure that’s affected by what I previously mentioned.

Maybe he was trying too hard to impress last night and that resulted in his poor first touch.

Hopefully with some more appearances under his belt and being a bit more relaxed we’ll see his first touch improve.

7.) 31 Aug 2023 12:16:16
This young guy won't be ready for 2 to 3 years. The good thing is he is learning from similar type forwards who ARE ready and will be playing ahead of him.

However, I've seen enough of him top think he's going to be a good signing. He's got a really good work rate, puts himself about but is clearly very raw.

Proper football supporters understand this and will give him time. The brainless idiots having a go clearly know nothing about football and just get all their knowledge from FIFA games.

8.) 31 Aug 2023 12:48:51
GB not just Sean, but Kevin as well. Impressed so far with his dealings considering our financial situation.

9.) 31 Aug 2023 13:00:28
Exactly i don't see how anyone can pick out individuals for criticism when the whole team was shocking, and the kid has probably never experienced anything like the physicality of league 2 centre halves in his life. Give him some time, hopefully Beto can teach him a thing or 2.

10.) 31 Aug 2023 14:34:16
Lukaku's 1st touch was and still is shocking he could trap it further than I can kick it. and his 2nd touch was a tackle lol. but he scored goals and hopefully this lad will aswell given the time ????????????.

11.) 31 Aug 2023 17:01:57
Tom Davies has left so the usual halfwits will be looking for another player to slate.

12.) 31 Aug 2023 17:17:36
The same hypocrites that posted last week about the doom sayers being out of order for calling out a poorly performing team with no wins as the poison fan base are the ones who slated a kid. Go figure? Absolute losers and pretty vile who like the sound of their own putrid nonsense. Nice bunch.

13.) 01 Sep 2023 00:23:26
DAN Seriously re the new young lad are we really talking about 1st touch? This is the premier league isn't it? Not the vanorama. He must have something about him for everton to pay 15 million. Wakey wakey this is the same club who bought sandro ramirez and paid him a 100k per week, iwobi how much?!?

The standards are so low that even I'm not that arsed whether we lose iwobi or not (preference being we do) reason being: far worse players at the club I'd sooner punt on 1st. any other club who would have signed iwobi for that money at the time, it would have been the worst bit of business they had ever done. not us though! (I have a good head of hair but if I'd been in the boardroom while they thrashed out the Walcott deal I would have walked out bald)

I'm not having a pop just some of the comments on here really do reflect how bloody awful it all is and how low the expectations are but also how as fans we are just starting to accept this as the new norm.

Re the new Portuguese lad I'm hoping he does turn out quality and of course I would give him support and time, nor would I judge him on 1 game against Doncaster. problem is he is a big risk and has all the hallmarks of an everton signing and our inept board/ recruitment regime- plunge 15 million on a prospect when we need someone to hit the ground running now! 15 million we don't appear to have by the way!

Yet again as with most of you my anger has never really been with any of the past umpteen managers, I have no love for the players but I accept they can't be held accountable for the ridiculous wages our inept board are paying them. Yet again the whole bloody mess is all on those upstairs.

On a positive note beto looked great and I could go onto loving him!

18 Aug 2023 18:10:15
This is just my opinion on Che Adams.
He is exactly the sort of Centre Forward that Dyche brings the best out of.
Look at Ashley Barnes and Chris Woods when Dyche was Burnley manager, probably had their best seasons under him.
If he can bring more of that out of Adams and DCL, we might. just might have a better season.
Going in a completely different direction, Harrison and Danjuma look like the eventual replacements for Richarlison and Gordon.
Braithwaite replaces Mina. we just need another CB to replace Coady.
Young is a good signing with his experience and versatility.
Chermitti is a wildcard.
A fully fit Garner is a bonus.
1 or 2 more signings and we might have a reason to look up the table as Dyche had us playing much better at the end of last season.
Really should have done Fulham and with a decent CF would have.
Let's hope for a good season guys.

DuaneyBoy1878

1.) 18 Aug 2023 19:59:34
On paper Che Adams wasn’t exciting me but I think he could be a shrewd investment for Dyche to work with.

2.) 19 Aug 2023 14:43:46
I think it all depends on his transfer value and wages. Ideally I'd like someone a bit better but from the names been touted he seems one of the better ones. Anyone is an improvement on Maupay.
