according to El Bobble Onana is done he has signed his contract.

21 Jul 2022 22:11:14
Ross Barkley rumours gathering pace ED02 please tell me nothing has changed and Frank Lampard doesn't want him.

{Ed002's Note - I have previously explained he is available to Everton.}

1.) 21 Jul 2022 22:55:37
Fear not mate, Ed002 has previously explained that "lampard won't want him".

{Ed002's Note - Lampard wants other Chelsea players, perhaps a buy two get on free deal?}

2.) 22 Jul 2022 07:48:05
The way we're playing I'd take Ross Noble at this point! If Ross improved us it wdnt bother me he's back! IF!

3.) 22 Jul 2022 07:23:47
I know you have previously explained ED02 I was just wondering if it was getting to the point that Frank Lampard had started to soften his stance but I will take it as good news that he's still not interested in him cheers bud.

4.) 22 Jul 2022 07:26:03
ED02 I think of they offered us Werner and Kante for free but said you have to take Barkley as well we should say thanks but no thanks ha ha there is no deal in world football that would make me want Barkley back at Everton.

5.) 22 Jul 2022 08:46:36
Tell them we will take him if we can have Gallagher and Gilmore as well. Midfield sorted.

6.) 22 Jul 2022 19:26:39
When you joke buy two get one free deal Ed.

Would the 2 we are realistically looking at be gilmour and Colwill?

Anjorin looks like off to Huddersfield, Broja possibly West Ham or not leaving and you’ve said numerous times Gallagher won’t be coming to Everton.

20 Jul 2022 12:58:24
Adnan Januzaj is a new name being linked he's a free agent and apparently it's a choice of us or West ham do the EDs know if this is just clickbait or does it have legs.

{Ed002's Note - Adnan Januzaj (RW) Left Real Sociedad as a Free Agent. Offers from West Ham, Napoli and Sevilla. Everton may have spoken to his agent. I would think staying in Spain or moving to Italy would be preferred.}

1.) 20 Jul 2022 15:27:25
Cheers Ed02.

2.) 20 Jul 2022 19:35:54
Hate to say it Lamprdstheman think we have to get used to being also rans.

3.) 21 Jul 2022 11:50:40
Don’t need more wingers .

4.) 21 Jul 2022 12:26:18
Plenty of whingers on here Woburn.

5.) 22 Jul 2022 08:48:32
Agree plenty of both?.

6.) 22 Jul 2022 16:50:25
Yep and all 'right' whingers.

15 Jul 2022 19:17:34
Maxwell cornet has been left out of Burnley's friendly game tonight v Shrewsbury prob to do with the fact he's leaving and not part of the plans but us being Everton fans have decided it's because he's close to joining us ha ha.

1.) 15 Jul 2022 20:14:51
Was reading that hope we get him mate.

2.) 15 Jul 2022 20:22:37
Hope we don't!

3.) 15 Jul 2022 21:09:33
Me too GuernseyBlue I think he could be a very good signing.

4.) 15 Jul 2022 21:43:01
Here we go….

5.) 15 Jul 2022 21:44:10
Why not Birk?
9 goals and 1 assist in 26 games appears to be better than any of our players managed last season.
Also less than £20m.
Surely he’d be a good signing?

6.) 15 Jul 2022 22:10:54
Good player exactly what we need.

7.) 15 Jul 2022 23:56:06
We’re linked with the world and his wife and we really don’t know who exactly Frank is targeting, some of the rumoured players would certainly improve the team but a lot including Cornet fall into the scattergun/ desperation category.
Tarkowski will prove a very good addition and add much needed steel to the central defence but a quality defensive midfield player is a priority.
It’s very probable that our hands are tied until we shift the likes of Allan, Gomes and one or two of the centre backs before we can commit to buying quality players that fit the system and style of play Frank would like to employ.
In the mean time let’s not make the same mistakes that have been made over the last four to five years and pay over the odds for average players on very high salaries and long contracts.
I appreciate we all have personal preferences on who the club should sign but hopefully Dele, Patterson and possibly Gbamin will come good and offer us another dimension, certainly from what being shown of the training in the US the squad will be substantially fitter.
If I was to choose between the rumoured Cornet at £20m and Traore at £10m, I would opt for Traore, who is a beast with pace to burn and although his final ball needs greatly improving, under the right coaching the rough edges could be sorted out. Only last transfer window Wolves were looking for £50m from Spurs for him.
Also, he has the physique to play central striker if DCL is injured so would offer much more versatility than Cornet, just my opinion.

8.) 16 Jul 2022 06:51:11
As you say Fancy all about opinions.

Traore has played 160 games in the league and has only managed 8 goals - I’m not sure any amount of coaching will see that greatly improve.

Cornet on the other hand has played 26 games in the league and has managed 9 goals - I’m sure with more games in the league these figures will only get better.

If was a choice between the 2 it would be Cornet all day long for me.

Traore strong and fast but no end product.

Cornet fast, versatile and has an end product.

9.) 16 Jul 2022 07:16:25
Isn’t Cornet primarily a left winger? If so, sounds exactly like our old transfer policy…

We are short on the right wing (Townsend and Iwobi; one coming back from a ACL injury and the other hot and cold - mainly cold - most the time) , CF (just Dom and Rondon; injury prone and, well, Rondon) and CM (Allen and Gomez seem out of form) .

I’m hoping some of the youth and those you mentioned Fancy can step up otherwise we are in for a long season of frustration again.

At least Tarks will sure up the defence. Good bit of business that! Now for some more of that….

10.) 16 Jul 2022 10:56:51
Good player, and a bargain but it if we keep messing around with the payment structure at 17 million etc it will just just leave the door open for another club to come up with the full payment while we're dithering!

11.) 16 Jul 2022 12:40:45
Not criticising but interested! Why is Cornet exactly what we need.

12.) 16 Jul 2022 19:01:20
DFS wouldn’t say he’s exactly what we need.

Think Tarkowski was the most important signing as defence was poor last season and he’ll improve that for us.

However in relation to Cornet - we struggled for goals last season, with only Richarlison getting double figures (11) . Next was Townsend on 7 and Gray on 6.

Now with Richarlison gone we need to get more goals elsewhere, I’m sure DCL will do well if injury free.

If we sign Cornet he may help with getting more goals, he managed 9 in 26 games for Burnley in first season in the league. I’m sure he could get double figures in a full season and for the reported £17.5m seems a bargain for a player who is proven in league and could easily get 10 goals + per season.

He’s not exactly what we need but I feel would be foolish not to try and sign him with what I’ve mentioned above.

13.) 16 Jul 2022 20:52:17
Thought he was primarily a LB or LM but if the Club see his potential doing a Ricky down the left hey ho! Still think RW, RWB more key.

14.) 17 Jul 2022 16:39:21
For me, if we have the funds, I would like to see both traore and cornet at the club, cornet for me is the better option as he's goal scoring record is better and also better than any player of ours last season.
With traore, I would love him to be an impact player, someone who comes off the bench and really messed with the opposition. His final end product isn't there, and it never will be. We need to know that when he comes, he's going to mess up, ALOT. But he's an impact player and makes the opposition think differently. Which is an amazing player to have in your armoury. If we could only buy one, cornet is my choice, but I would love to see both with us. One a primeraly a left winger, and one primeraly and right winger. Perfect!
If we can get traore for £10m and cornet for £17m, that would be some unbelievable bit of business!
Football is not just about the quality you have in all areas, or we may as well say congrats to man city now. But it's about making the opposition second guess. And with players like traore, that's exactly what we get.
If we get both these players I would be excited for the upcoming season.

13 Jul 2022 13:55:22
Apparently 10 million for Troure from Wolves if true would be a shrewd signing.

{Ed002's Note - Adama Traore (RW) Valencia, Leeds and West Ham have asked Wolves about his availability and it would not be a surprise to see some serious interest from Newcastle or Spurs. Could potentially still interest Klopp who has had the hots for him before. Wolves will want a new contract agreed. Liverpool interest has not gone away and Adama Traore is not keen on a new contract at Wolves. Someone has done a good job on Paratici to persuade him to talk with Wolves. Spurs would try and include a player in any deal. Interest of Barcelona will have gone following his loan. Everton have had a low ball offer rejected but will return with a better offer - but a move will perhaps not suit the player who would want Champions League football ideally. Valencia may be open to an exchange for Goncalo Guedes.}

1.) 13 Jul 2022 15:13:40
Just my opinion but he’s not a great player.
Admittedly fast and strong but no end product.
Would be surprised if a top 6 team went in for him as couldn’t see him getting into any of those teams.

2.) 13 Jul 2022 15:20:57
Cheers ED02 I think at a relatively low fee he could be a very good signing he's fast and direct which is something we lack and I agree with Gingerdan I would be very surprised if a top 6 team came calling but that's what agents are for and we have seen players get moves to top teams that they don't deserve.

3.) 13 Jul 2022 16:22:00
I'd be surprised if we get him, at that price even Aldi's would be in for him ?.

4.) 13 Jul 2022 16:41:38
Agree Dan don’t think he’s what we need right now.

5.) 13 Jul 2022 17:09:22
I'm not a fan really, but would hopeto be proven wrong if we got him.

Branthwaite to PSG looks to be on, good move for player and us, next season.

6.) 13 Jul 2022 17:59:18
At that price, worth a punt. I can understand the reservations, but we have to acknowledge that we’re not a top 6 team and we’re looking for players that can make a difference and push us up the table - he has that potential. Gordon, Gray, Toure would certainly cause defences a headache.

7.) 13 Jul 2022 18:43:31
Not a fan tbh. He's got backs of pace and is strong but doesn't seem to have an end product. Will have to look at his goals and assists record but I don't think he is prolific in either.
Bunkbeds, is that definitely where JB is headed? If he's good enough for PSG then surely we should be looking to keep the lad and give him game time here?

8.) 13 Jul 2022 20:18:07
Hes got a similar strike rate to Pickford.

9.) 13 Jul 2022 20:35:14
It's a loan to psv not psg for Braithwaite.

10.) 13 Jul 2022 23:21:42
I would take him for 10m all day.

I agree that his end product isn't great but neither is that the case with the lads we have. Gray got 5G and 5A and Gordon got 4G and 3A. He could probably match that if he's given game time.

That isn't even the reason i would take him at that price though. It is what he can offer, that nobody else in that team can. He is rubbish off a shuffle. He is a brick sh** house. His dribbling is phenomenal. He can break through lines like a piece of p*** and force us right up the pitch to get on the counter.

He will win his fair share of free kicks in dangerous postions, where we will have DCL, Yerry, Tarks to aim for. Let's hope Clemence can start delivering on this FK knowledge he is rumored to have.

The lad is 26 has loads of miles left on the clock and we know he can handle the prem. His numbers may not be great but what he offers is. We would be silly to not sign him at that price imo.

11.) 14 Jul 2022 01:48:54
Bjarki, that makes more sense than Paris mate!
JMW, it's the end product that we need more than anything now that we have lost Richarlison. No point buying a winger than doesn't really score or assist much.
10m might not seem that much in this day and age but we can't go wasting any more cash, especially when our transfer budget isn't going to be like windows of the past. Too much of a gamble imo,

12.) 14 Jul 2022 05:17:10
I am with Gingerdan on this one but what do I know! If the likes of Klopp (who I respect) has the 'hots' for Traore there must be something there we are missing. Even so why £10 mill?

13.) 14 Jul 2022 06:28:25
If it balances out the attack then I’m all for it. Just need to get a DCL back up and CM sorted then.

14.) 14 Jul 2022 07:19:09
If we had a spare 10 Mill laying around, yes, but we have to spend what money we have, wisely. but to me, he has great moments and not great games.

15.) 14 Jul 2022 08:35:17
My bad, yes I meant PSV ha ha ha.

16.) 14 Jul 2022 09:57:06
So we have a striker who is a great header of a ball, and we want to buy a winger who can't cross a ball?

17.) 14 Jul 2022 12:50:33
get a sponsorship deal outta all that baby oil he rubs on his arms before coming on as a sub.

So for all you Tom Davies haters out there here are his stats from yesterday
100% successful long balls
92% successful pass rate
100% tackles won
1 clearance
4 recoveries
And calm on the ball yet if you listen to his haters he was rubbish ???? as I said critisis when deserved but praise when deserved as well.

1.) 14 Aug 2022 16:58:35
Yep lamps I have given him stick in the past but yesterday he did well mate.

2.) 14 Aug 2022 17:10:00
And he was at fault for the goal that’s the most important stat and it’s not about hate it’s about opinion and the general opinion is he is not good enough at this level.

3.) 14 Aug 2022 17:47:03
In my opinion Tom Davies was solely not at fault for the goal.

4.) 14 Aug 2022 18:59:38
Alan Anano was at fault for their second goal so I am guessing you also think he is not good enough maybe give credit when its due and criticise when he has a bad game.

5.) 14 Aug 2022 20:50:34
Its easy to have a 92 % pass rate when you play either backwards or sideways. He made 3 passes into the final third, hardly progressive and brave is he.

36 touches in the center of the park.

If he wasn't a blue it wouldn't be up for debate.

Offers absolutely nothing.

6.) 14 Aug 2022 23:24:23
Tom will play his part. He is a great squad player. Some like to give him stick, I thought he was better than doucoure. People must be getting bored of me saying this but we need to play 3 in midfield. Tom, holding, in a 3 I feel would be very good. ounana and iwobi next to him in CM.

11 Aug 2022 08:44:53
Listened to El Bobbles podcast last night regards the Gueye deal Everton are getting frustrated as they have everything in place for Gueye to have the second part of his medical and sign his contract the hold up is he wants severance pay from PSG as he's taking a wage cut and they can't agree on a number. I want Gueye I think he is exactly what I need but why are players so greedy and if I was Everton I would give him a deadline of early afternoon today so we can get the medical sorted and he can be registered in time for Sat.

1.) 11 Aug 2022 09:04:34
Agents mate.

2.) 11 Aug 2022 09:08:12
Lamps why is he greedy wanting what he is owed we don't know the amount and its not like PSG will be rummaging down the back of their sofa looking for pennies to pay him. Have a bit of patience its not like we can get anyone else in before Saturday so waiting an extra day or two or even a week isn't a problem as its not effecting signings. If Everton gave him a deadline and he missed it would you want them to cancel the deal?

3.) 11 Aug 2022 09:39:04
if you think earning approx 80k a week and wanting a pay off from your previous club isn't greedy then i am baffled.

4.) 11 Aug 2022 09:39:52
and yes sa90 i want the club to move on too many times down the years we have let transfers drag on and we have missed other possible targets.

5.) 11 Aug 2022 09:56:45
He’s entitled to negotiate the remainder of his contract. Greed doesn’t come into it.

6.) 11 Aug 2022 10:09:24
I can see this two ways:

If he wants to leave then why should he get a pay off as he’s moving to a different employer. None of us would expect a pay off if we chose to move jobs.

If he’s being made to leave then he should get a severance package as employer is choosing to move him on.

7.) 11 Aug 2022 13:13:44
Because Everton cannot pay the same wages he is on at PSG.

8.) 11 Aug 2022 15:03:50
If you signed a pre determined contract and then found your job was becoming redundant and could move jobs, you'd not claim for your contract to be paid up? Oh OK, you must live in cloud cookoo land. I throw that attitude in the same clichéd nonsense bin as badge kissing and 1 club loyalty. Absolute garbage expectation in 2022 actually anytime since about 1955.

9.) 11 Aug 2022 18:10:37
I don't blame him getting what he is due. We would all do the same in his position. He will have commitments that he pays for and staff and this will be based on his earnings. Players are like businesses.

The good news though is that it seems we are being better at managing our wages structure better.

10.) 13 Aug 2022 09:27:02
Is his job becoming redundant Brownshoes? If he didn’t move to us, he would be doing what a large amount of our squad have been doing of late: staying, not playing but the club keep paying…

If he has chosen to move to get more game time then it is his decision and surely it would be down to Everton to pay off the remainder of his contract or pay him the same.

It feels like a strange situation.

07 Aug 2022 11:05:05
I watched MOTD last night and when Shearer and Wright were asked if Villa will struggle they both said its too early to say that, then our game and the same question was asked and Shearer jumps straight in with yes i fear for Everton this season so its too early for Villa but not to condem us I can not wait to ram those words down his throat as when a striker comes in we will start scoring and winning games.

1.) 07 Aug 2022 11:17:37
Both of them are plonkers mate.

2.) 07 Aug 2022 11:19:59
Shearer is a prize melon. Worst pundit I’ve ever seen. I actually don’t watch MOTD because he’s on it.

I watched the game as did most and honestly can’t imaging that fool telling me something I didn’t already know.

3.) 07 Aug 2022 15:06:43
i wanted to see it again as from my seat the pen was soft (it was a pen once you put your hands on a player then your risking it) and wanted to see just how out the ball was before Godfrey injured his leg and i am surprised nobody has asked why the linesman was 5 or 6 yards behind the play.

03 Aug 2022 20:53:23
Anyone heard anything about Gueye as it's gone very quiet, I was hoping he would of signed today.

1.) 04 Aug 2022 08:23:03
Had his medical on either Tuesday or Wednesday apparently. Should be announced today or tomorrow I reckon.

2.) 04 Aug 2022 10:47:16
Cheers FatChris89 bud.

30 Jul 2022 09:46:00
I am a massive fan of Mykolenko but he needs to learn how to defend set peices he was at fault for Crystal palaces first goal last season and he lost his man last night and it's not just those two games he seems to lose his man at most set pieces if he can sort that out then he will be one hell of a LB for us.

1.) 30 Jul 2022 10:43:49
There should be a large focus on defending set pieces for the who team so this may help the improvement of Mykolenko I'm that regard.

2.) 30 Jul 2022 15:57:31
You could be right Blue-tit.

I am with you Reg Chelsea at home and Villa away are two very tough games add in no striker (that will get sorted) and we also knew it was going to be a tough season so i am not sure what fans expected would happen 2 wins top of the league and poss winners come next may some people need to take a step back and give it a couple of months as i can already sense Goodison going back to be a horrible place to play for our own players because we have too many negative arseholes who can't wait to moan at the first oppertunity.
