With speculation ramping up today that Lewin will be heading to Newcastle what are fellow fans views mine is anything over 50 mill snap their hands off also will Lewin see Newcastle as a step up as they are miles away from challenging top 6 and I feel we will sell Richy and a few others like Mina and Gomes and we will be quite active in the market.

1.) 12 May 2022 18:55:17
Well if he performs like he did last season 50M might be a fair price. However he has done nothing this year to suggest he his worth anything near that amount. I know that he has been injured but when he has played he has done very little to indicate that value. II would take the 50M if offered but II doubt any team would pay that amount for him, in which case he probably stays with us for next season.

2.) 12 May 2022 20:35:06
My only hope Bluemike is Newcastle are rich so straight away prices go up like they did for us and if they do want him we will drive a hard bargain.

3.) 12 May 2022 21:28:14
I think this season has been a total write off for him with injuries and then how team was set up.

Wouldn’t want to see him leave as he’s a decent player and when team set up to provide him with service he’ll get goals - last season prime example.

Would hate for him to go to Newcastle and then see him bang the goals in - they love a no9 and know how to set up a team to get the best out of one. Could easily see him banging 20+ goals for them a season.

Will all depend on money offered and how bad a financial situation we are in if we have to sell.

Replacing his goals from last season won’t be easy if he does go.

4.) 12 May 2022 23:23:23
Easy to replace the ones he’s scored this season though. If he’s keen to go, let him go. There’ll be more than one team interested so we should get decent money, which we need.

5.) 13 May 2022 06:13:01
For me, it depends on his injuries. If his niggles are in places that are more likely to reoccur and classify him as injury prone, I’d sell. £50m would be a decent amount - if it’s Newcastle, you could get more as we’ve been held ransom over players we want once the money arrived. If his injuries are genuine one-off injuries, I’d consider keeping him.

The question for me is who would you get in with the money? I’d look at CBs as our priority but then again, we’ll need someone up front if Richy goes as well.

It feels like a turbulent summer awaits….

6.) 13 May 2022 09:20:13
Looks like Frank will have to find a new team next season as according to the papers DCL to Newcastle plus Godfrey, Gordon and Richy to Suprs. So our main striker, best young prospect, our best outfield player and according to Frank our 1st choice CB will all need to be replaced. Its amazing what tripe the media put out when they can't fill the airwaves with plaudits for their two favourite teams.

7.) 13 May 2022 11:19:37
Can't see us selling Gordon Godfrey or any of the young players and that includes Holgate as Lampard seems to like him I can see us selling or trying to sell
Pickford (if a big offer comes in)
Mina
Keane
Gomes
Alan
Gbamin
Lewin (if a stupid bid comes in)
Richy (deserves to play at a higher level)
Our of contract (yearly wage)
Delph 4.1 mill saved
Sigs 5 2 mill saved
Tosun 3.2 mill saved

Either way that's a lot of wages saved over the last two years and if we sell a few it all helps towards FFP and I know we have a massive debt but that's to Moshiri so I'm not including that as while he is willing to carry that debt although unhealthy and unsustainable we shouldn't need to worry about that at the minute.

8.) 13 May 2022 11:46:25
Hard to judge him too harshly on an injury wrecked season. He was worth more than that last year but way less the rest of the time. Still don't want him to go but if he wants to.

Would be less disappointed than the last time we sold an injury-prone no9 to Newcastle. but Dunc did come back.

9.) 13 May 2022 14:24:07
Think you’re spot on there lampardstheman.

Keep Godfrey, Gordon, Holgate, branthwaite, mykolenko and sell the ones you’ve mentioned.

If Ricky, Pickford and DCL want to stay then great - if they want to go then ensure it’s a decent fee.

10.) 13 May 2022 15:35:51
Think some are being a bit harsh over how he has performed this year. He has had a few injuries to contend with and, in my opinion, he was rushed back too soon which only resulted in him being out for longer. He was top notch last season so I don't think we should be quick to move him on just yet.
That said, due to our precarious financial situation, I do think we are going to get rid of a lot of players this summer and begin a rebuild. its needed big time, some of this squad have flattered to deceive for too long and need moving on. We've got to hope that our recruitment has improved drastically from previous years under FM.

11.) 13 May 2022 15:48:41
Frankly anyone under contract who has the ability to raise a profit will be potentially for sale. If the offers come, everyone is available. Big summer window and the fact a load of players are out of contract this summer also helps. Rebuild needed. Build it around our 2 GS. Gordon and Godfrey and cash in the rest. If we can keep Pickford and Richarlson great but I think they'll be 1st out of the door and fair play to them if they decide to go. Been great for us.

12.) 14 May 2022 09:53:22
If they want to go then sell them. that's been our problem for years. Hanging on to mediocre players who underperform week in week out on massive wages. They are superstars without actually achieving anything. Rip it up and start again. Richarlison deserves to play at a higher level? Really? He disappeared for 3 quarters of the season! DCL an absolute 1 season wonder and now he wants to go to arsenal? Why? Better chance of mixing it with other prima donnas based in London? Get rid and start again. Invest in young hungry players who concentrate on football rather than fashion. Get players who do it on the pitch rather than say the right things off it. Sick and tired of our club buying these "big name" big salary players. Go back to basics. Get winners. Get players who are focused and committed. That 80s team was full of unheard of names. No superstars until they played together as a team and achieved success. BACK TO BASICS PLEASE!

13.) 14 May 2022 20:41:57
Problem is the mediocre ones don’t want to go.

14.) 16 May 2022 21:30:32
Sell the whole lot they are an embarrassment to the thousands of fans who stood outside that ground for 3 hours and sang their heart out. I was one of them and I must say I loved every min of it. Then I take my seat inside the ground and watch Pickford hoof the ball down the pitch to no one. It’s 2022 football has moved on not once did he pass it out. If 12year olds done that now their coach would ask them what the heck are yous doing this isn’t football it’s rugby.

05 May 2022 09:10:37
Rumours Newcastle are Interested in DCL and if they offered silly money I would accept it and say good luck.

1.) 06 May 2022 10:29:10
Rumours have it Pickford will be sold?

{Ed002's Note - He has been recommended to Spurs and Everton will have to listen to offers as they struggle to resolve their financial mess.}

2.) 06 May 2022 13:40:37
Sell Pickford, buy Pope when Burnley go down. Or Johnstone on a free from West Brom.

3.) 06 May 2022 14:04:08
ED02 say we sell Richy Lewin and Pickford would that sort our financial issues out as according to Richard Buxton (reliable Journalist) he stated our losses are 85 mill which is under the 105 mill limit due to C.V. and the stadium costs and the FA have accepted these figures.

{Ed002's Note - He is wrong - Everton have huge debt and huge losses. I have no idea where that £85M figure comes from and the £105M figure is not an annual amount. Perhaps he is teasing you?}

4.) 06 May 2022 16:45:33
I’d wait till we know we’re safe before suggesting another relegated teams players.

We go down and will be a mass exodus.

5.) 06 May 2022 22:52:52
Would ideally rather not go down for it to happen Dan but a mass exodus sounds truly magical.

6.) 06 May 2022 18:19:11
Cheers ED02 just something he posted on his account he said when you take in to account the stadium costs and cost of C.V. our losses are 85 mill so under the 105 limit. It looks like we will have to sell and start again either way we are far too reliant on Moshiri which doesn't bode well for the future.

{Ed002's Note - It seems he perhaps doesn’t understand. The stadium costs are of no relevance.}

7.) 07 May 2022 00:14:59
The problem is the imposition of FFP.

8.) 07 May 2022 01:49:55
I thought we had an outstanding young keeper coming through the ranks. Use him if he’s up to it. Sell Pickford. Get some youth in.

9.) 07 May 2022 11:11:25
If pick ford is sold then I'd go all out for Samba from forest.

20 Apr 2022 16:33:36
Ed02 have you heard anything about us being in for this kid from FCSB jewel his name is Octavian Popescu.

{Ed002's Note - Octavian Popescu (AM/LW) Regal Bucharest have said that Bayern Munich and Nurnberg have asked after the availability of the player. I am not aware of any interest from Everton nor how a Work Permit would be obtained to play in England.

1.) 21 Apr 2022 09:05:25
Cheers for the reply ED02.

2.) 21 Apr 2022 09:05:26
Ed002 unfortunately not getting a work permit to play in England isn't really a mitigating circumstance for Everton not signing a player if past experience is anything to go by. Stupid is what stupid does. The only saving grace is we are not interested.

30 Mar 2022 19:52:08
Ed do we know if any players are actively looking for a move this summer I can see Pickford Richarlison and Lewin all thinking about leaving and we couldn't blame them.

{Ed002's Note - Yes players will be open to offers.}

1.) 31 Mar 2022 00:29:46
Sorry but aren’t they all part of the squad that put us in this mess?

2.) 31 Mar 2022 08:30:57
Yep correct Woburn! Hopefully we get good money for the couple of half decent players and that the new DoF or whatever his title is, is infinitely more successfully than Brands at shifting some of the rubbish we signed on crazy contracts!

3.) 31 Mar 2022 09:48:23
Time for big changes apart from a couple of them the rest can go, as Woburn said they put us in this predicament.

4.) 31 Mar 2022 19:48:39
yes Woburnblu and out the 3 players the 2 I can't argue with wanting moves are Pickford and Richarlison. Lewin for me does not deserve to want to move yes he has been injured but when he has played he has been on par with Ali for effort and attitude my question wasn't who deserves to move it was are any looking to move and the mess the club is on who can blame them.

5.) 02 Apr 2022 22:50:25
Gordon, Godfrey, Grey can stay.
Wouldn’t be too upset if anyone else left.
Trim the wage bill, recoup some fees, and start again with a few more of the academy players filling up the bench.

6.) 03 Apr 2022 10:28:38
Fingers crossed we stay up and frank then gives some of the youngsters he keeps bigging up a chance.
Surely they’ve got to be better than don’t of the players we’ve currently got playing for us.

7.) 03 Apr 2022 16:27:58
Hey Ging who said fat frank will be there next season?

8.) 03 Apr 2022 20:12:41
No idea albey- but then again no idea why you’re on this page commenting either.

{Ed0666's Note - last time I checked Ginger the internet was still allowing people the autonomy to roam from site to site.

9.) 03 Apr 2022 20:28:23
Totally agree Ed, that’s why so many trolls about.

Just find it interesting that a red seems to be commenting so much on our team, current predicament and manager.

Surely it’s far more interesting as a red to be discussing the real possibility of the quadruple, how you’ve eaten into what looked like an unassailable city lead in title race and how next weekends game is so massive in the title race, rather than being bothered about who our manager may be next season?

{Ed0666's Note - come on ginger I’d like to think you lot can take a little bit of joshing after all it’s a banter site. It’s nothing sinister mate.

10.) 04 Apr 2022 15:17:08
Same trolls always on here, it gets a bit tedious, ed0666. As good says, surely they have other things to be excited about rather than come over here winding people up? We always here that you red fans are 'class' yet I rarely see that from any reds I know. Horrible supporters.

{Ed0666's Note - ok mate.

11.) 04 Apr 2022 18:39:47
Most of our own aren’t much better on this site recently.

12.) 05 Apr 2022 00:22:23
But at least we’re on our own site mate. And to be fair we have something to moan about.
But if you think we’re that bad try going to an away game. The support there is amazing given they haven’t seen a win. We have always had fantastic away support back in the seventies when I went it was fantastic, and has been ever since.
Yes they have a moan but you know what they are there again spending good money to support their team.

13.) 07 Apr 2022 11:06:16
Surely none of them will leave? They will be lucky to play in the championship as none are better than league 1 standard anyway.

16 May 2022 09:08:57
well yesterday is gone and nothing will change the fact we once again got the shi#ty end of the stick when it comes to officials and i can not wait for ref watch which will defend every decision saying they where all correct (waste of time on sky sports) so onto Thursday and what is a must win game against a very good side who will want to do all they can to send us closer to the relegation door so as fans all we can do is once again turn up and make the old lady horrible and hope this group of players can get us over the line.

1.) 16 May 2022 12:14:37
Just hope Lampard puts out our strongest team - genuinely did not get why he started Gomes or DCL on Sunday?

Gomes - is terrible.

DCL - still not match fit

Doucore - he needs a good talking to as his passing and movement were shocking.

2.) 16 May 2022 13:30:49
Dan we needed a target man, and to some extent it was working before the sending off.
My concern with DCL and Richy is that they don’t seem to work well as a pair. Looking at their body language i always get the feeling they don’t particularly like each other. And the way DCL carried on about it being his goal and not Richie’s tends to back that up.

3.) 16 May 2022 16:01:41
Doucore, slow and awkward. Gomes is a booking or sending off looking to happen. DCL what's happened to him. It's bare bones for Palace on Thursday and I'm praying that the football Gods look down on us and give us payback for the crap decisions we've suffered this season. COYB.

15 May 2022 18:54:29
Just left the game and another one where the officials have cost us massively it was never a sending off for Braithwaite and here is why who remembers the Utd game where Gordon was denied a pen and a red card because the official said it can't be a foul because it's a crossing of legs well wasn't it the same today the difference is one was against Everton and the other one was against. I want our club to grow some balls and demand a meeting with the FA at the end of the season and show them where officials have screwed us.
Arsenal at home Richy both goals onside ruled out
Spurs home pen on Richy overuled
Brentford away Rondon shirt dragged off him no pen
Saints away handball within 10 mins no pen
Utd at home Gordon fouled can't be given as legs crossed while running
Today Richarlison shirt nearly ripped off him ling ball Braithwaite sent off for crossing of legs.
I'm sure fans could prob name more.

Some eds and rival fans will say it events out ok if that's the case name them for me I will wait patiently.

1.) 15 May 2022 19:34:09
I said a while ago on here that the game is corrupt and I was done with it. Nothing has changed, if anything things have continued to prove to me that the referees are deliberately influencing games. It’s all about the big nail biter (and major money earner) on the final day. Sky dictate the league, end of.

{Ed0666's Note - if that was the case why did VAR ask the referee to look at the penalty decision in the City game?

2.) 15 May 2022 20:24:28
That pen (or non pen) against city was the most nailed on penalty you’ll ever see on an English pitch. So much so they issued an apology, no? The fact that it went to VAR and they STILL got it wrong proves my point entirely. It’s not just Everton, it’s happening to all the teams around the top and bottom, so I’m not saying what I’m saying from a victim mentality viewpoint. The EPL is supposed to be the best in the world yet the officials are so poor. Really? They are that poor? I’m not having it and I’m honestly done with football. I’ve watched Everton since the 1970’s. My grandad captained Everton in the 1930’s and 40’s, I’m as blue as they come, but something has died inside me this season. I don’t mind being beaten fair and square, and god knows Everton have been very very poor this season and deserve to go down - I can take that. What I can’t take is the ludicrously bad officiating that isn’t giving teams a fair crack.

3.) 15 May 2022 21:31:35
The penalty what was clearly a penalty and still not given?

4.) 15 May 2022 20:34:06
So what exactly are you saying, that we are all wrong along with the rest of the League and that there is no favoritism towards certain clubs?
As you are a Liverpool fan I can already guess what you answer will be ?.

5.) 15 May 2022 20:36:50
Did they give the penalty?

6.) 15 May 2022 20:55:32
Ed66 as your a kopite you would not know or care about corruption with the FA after all they won you the League a few years back and won you the League cup this season by disallowing Lukakus goal that was clearly onside not to mention just howany times did your players dive yesterday without receiving 1 booking it's obvious who the FA want to keep sweet so they don't dare try and overthrow them again.

7.) 15 May 2022 22:03:25
The point should be why didn't var ask the ref to look at the monitor in the city game with us.

14 May 2022 16:07:15
Fabrizio Romano had said on a podcast that many clubs will be interested in Richarlison this summer and he is willing to look at proposals but it's not a cert he will leave but is willing to look at his options.

Fair enough I think he definitely deserves to be playing at a higher level than we can currently offer him.

1.) 14 May 2022 18:17:21
Fair enough but we paid 45 million for him and so we should only let him go your we get 60 +.

2.) 14 May 2022 20:01:11
£35.28m apparently with the potential to go to £50m.

Think we’d be lucky to get £50m for him in current market.

3.) 14 May 2022 20:59:34
Don’t know Dan - I think in the current market we could easily get £60m. That amount has been bounded about for the two Leeds lads and Richy has shown he has quality and is still young. I’d hope he stays but if he goes, we should look for top dollar for him.

4.) 14 May 2022 22:31:01
Not sure which 2 Leeds lads referring to.

If kalvin Phillips then that probably includes the English premium (strange but English players seem to cost more) .

If raphina, think he’s currently a better player than Richarlison - just seems to create more and be able to create something from nothing.

Don’t want to see Richarlison leave, however if he does hope we get the best price possible but think won’t be as much as some fans expect - hope I’m wrong though.

5.) 14 May 2022 21:53:55
Who really knows true fees/ costs in todays world? But my point was was we paid what we did but like any business we neee to make a profit above any loss. :
Eds
Any insights on Richardson and financial impact on us?

{Ed002's Note - The fees are recorded on the TMS.}

6.) 14 May 2022 22:56:53
Raphina was amazing in the championship but hasn't shined quite as brightly in the premiership has he? He started well but hasn't done much since Leeds begun to struggle. Richarlison has been at a decent level in the prem for longer and should command a larger fee.

7.) 15 May 2022 07:16:42
Chris wood 25m plus add ons could
Rise to 30m.
Richarlison is a top player in a poor team also Brazilian international and young. i'd want no less tha 65m.

8.) 15 May 2022 07:44:42
Yeah Dan - those two Leeds Lads have been priced over £50m in the past and Richy is about the same age but with more experience.

The big one for me is if DCL goes we need to keep Richy and find a replacement. Given the injuries he’s had this season, you’d think he’d end up doing a Jeffers if he went to Arsenal or Newcastle. I’d rather cash in on him than Richy if it was possible.

08 May 2022 18:19:58
Big shout out to what has to be the best supporters in the country that 10 min rendition of spirit of the blues just before half time was amazing and we embarrassed the Leicester fans for 90 mins and again afterwards fantastic scenes now just imagine if we won something.

1.) 08 May 2022 18:31:57
Too right mate. Just watching clips on line. Unbelievable. Frank even went back out to applaud them.

2.) 08 May 2022 18:51:40
I will second that lamps? They was quality . thanks to all of them?.

3.) 08 May 2022 19:43:30
Yeah Big Reg I have been downloading the videos and sending them to my fellow blue mates and FL came out 20 mins after the game ended ha ha what a fanbase we have.

4.) 08 May 2022 21:37:18
Watching on tv, it could have easily been a home game for Everton, all you could here was our fans. Well done lads! .

07 May 2022 21:05:16
BT sport's coverage of Liverpool V Spurs is embarrassing from going to Klop every chance they get (not seen Conte once) to them forgetting spurs are even playing when the program restarts at breaks by showing only Liverpool players scoring and the desperation in Fletcher's comentatry begging Liverpool to score is shocking.

{Ed0666's Note - we’ll klopp is an extremely handsome man you can’t blame them.

1.) 07 May 2022 22:18:05
BT can paint the screen with Leicester’s Premiership triumph for the whole of the game if they were covering us tomorrow - I don’t care what they show as long as we win.

2.) 08 May 2022 07:38:18
That's fine BR as I'm not watching BT as it's not being aired on British TV still doesn't change the fact it's embarrassing the coverage the media provide that club during games and also disrespectful to the other team.

3.) 08 May 2022 11:24:22
Ed666. Klopp is hardly a pin up boy and his demonstrative facial expressions and limb movements (which he lays on very thick be honest mate) are the only reasons he gets camera coverage during matchtime, in short, put a red nose on the bugger and he's circus material massive guffaws ? ? ?.

4.) 08 May 2022 12:31:49
If it was Watford vs Leeds and they focused on Hodgson, would it bother you as much Lamps? Who cares about Klopp on here? All I care about is Everton on here.

5.) 07 May 2022 22:28:58
Think you need to head to spec savers Ed.

{Ed0666's Note - you don’t think klopp is a good looking guy?

i don't think that was down to the players Frank must of told them to sit deep and try to defend which is fine but as soon as they scored Frank should of changed it I think we have to remember he is a young manager who is learning the trade.

Very good points bw I genuinely do believe their is an agenda from officials against our club as we have not once had any decisions go our way we always seem to get screwed by them and anyone who says they even out then our last two games will be interesting.

I'm not sure how that's as damaging as losing to Burnley we took a point and have 7 points from our last 9 with two wins against better teams than ours so keep ya chin up bud and look at the positives not the negatives.
