The Mail are loving this. Now trying to heap on more misery by suggesting we will get a further nine point reduction and go into administration if we are sued by other clubs.
Gutter journalism at its finest.
1.) 18 Nov 2023 19:21:29
Imagine if city are found guilty. Does that mean all 19 prem clubs could sue them? Think it's lazy journalism.
2.) 18 Nov 2023 19:00:26
Hi Ed’s are we likely to get any more points deduction or is that it points wise? and is it true Leeds and Burnley are after £300 compo.
{Ed002's Note - Any points deduction would only likely be related to Administration.}
3.) 19 Nov 2023 03:49:20
Points deduction will be reduced to 4 and no court in the land will uphold the claims for compensation by other clubs.
Be positive my fellow blue noses. We have been in worse s**te and pulled through. We have a manager who is made for this fight, we have players who can be the dogs of war and we have the best supporters in the world.
We are Everton and we will always fight against the odds and succeed.

Thanks mate.

We now have two big strikers who can both head a ball. We have two good wingers in Dwight and Harrison who can cross a ball.
So here's a thought, why not when we're playing at home instruct the wingers to stay out wide get to the bye line and cross the ball. Instead of having the midfielders pass it backwards or sideways they could perhaps try playing the ball forward behind the fullback for the winger to run on to?
This might be an improvement from just giving it back to Pickford to just hoof it down the middle.
I'm sure our manager will have considered this but obviously thinks it not the Burnley sorry Everton way of how to play football on the "grass".

If you haven’t noticed this is Everton’s worst home start since 1958.Dyche said Everton applied plenty of pressure to Luton’s goal and rightly so we did miss chances in the first 15 minutes. When Everton chased the game late on it was dispiriting to see Dyche pointing to the corners of the pitch and demanding the ball be launched forward swiftly. It was basic, not difficult for Luton to deal with. We need to get Dyche out he is clueless and his tactics are one dimensional and never going to work in the modern day premier league.
2.) 05 Oct 2023 10:40:15
If only games were 15 mins long eh.
30 Sep 2023 18:46:45
I don't care if we keep sacking managers, Dyche has to go. He is clearly out of his depth in this league, and his tactic ( yes he does have one) is obvious for all to see.
This carries on and we will be down by Christmas.
1.) 30 Sep 2023 22:06:42
This manager, hailed for the job he did at Burnley, people seem to forget. That he got Burnley relegated, and was fired just a few games short, of getting them relegated for a second time.
I think the only thing that is keeping him in a job, is that we cannot afford to pay him off.
2.) 01 Oct 2023 09:27:00
I was hoping to win last nights lottery. I would have used it all to get shut of this useless, clueless, gutless buffoon of a 3 rd rate manager.
18 Sep 2023 08:21:17
Thelwell in meeting with Dyche.
Thelwell: what type of players are you looking for?
Dyche: defenders.
Thelwell: oh, how about attacking midfielders?
Dyche: no defensive midfielders.
Thelwell: strikers? How about Beto?
Dyche: can he defend?
1.) 18 Sep 2023 13:27:36
Dyche has the worst win record for Everton since Mike Walker it’s a disgrace get him out. I wouldn’t even let him take one more training session. what were we thinking giving this plonker the job.
2.) 18 Sep 2023 13:35:54
Champions League Dino, oh sorry Championship.
3.) 18 Sep 2023 13:55:35
How many games has he got left before his blinded supporters wake up and realise the man's a massive disaster? He's chasing relegation 3 yet people think the sun shines out of his honest and open a99. Unbelievable though I never had faith. Dyche out!
4.) 18 Sep 2023 19:21:28
Who do we get in and why do people think sacking the manager is the right thing.?
Martinez x
Koeman x
Marco silva x
Fat Sam x
Ancelotti?
Benitez x
Lampard x
We have had that many I can't remember them all or the running order!
Anchelotti is a world class manager but not even he could get a tune. Season he was in charge 2nd half of the season we were garbage.
Is it really the manager yet again? Its become a broken record.
14 Sep 2023 17:44:13 So here we are again showing the rest of the league how not to run a football club. We are like the neighbours from hell to the rest of the teams. Is it any wonder they want us out. It's not bad enough that we change managers every five minutes, buy players for large amounts of money and put them on stupid contracts. Only to sell them for peanuts or worse still nothing. But now we have entered this ridiculous situation of will he won't he sell. Added to that the only people who appear interested are a well dodgy crew from the states. Yes things have to change but why publicly advertise every mess up we make? I mean who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to publicly blame the supporters for the mess we are in? I as much as anyone want to see this regime gone, but because of how things have gone in the past it really worries me that we are just going to be sold to the first mob who have the cash. I really, really hope I am wrong.
1.) 14 Sep 2023 20:36:48
The thing Is if people want this regime out then that's fine but we can't then really moan who they sell too.
Plus there's so much negativity in and around our club potential buyers aren't going to be forming a que.
2.) 14 Sep 2023 21:03:16
Your right.
3.) 14 Sep 2023 23:11:28 With respect, a great many Evertonions, do have real issues about who the club is sold to. Cowboys, chancers, and assorted carpet bagers, need not apply. I am fully aware, that we the supporters, do not own the shares, but without us, there is no club .
4.) 15 Sep 2023 08:02:08
Spot on ITB1. Potential suitors be warned. You buy the club, you buy the fan base. Be open and upfront to us. We are your twelfth man.
{Ed002's Note - Owners have no obligations to share anything with toxic and obnoxious fan bases.}
5.) 15 Sep 2023 19:05:03
Come on Ed02 - not all of us are like that. I’d like to think the majority of us are decent people who just want to see entertaining football played once again.
{Ed002's Note - That is not how the fans have shown themselves to be sadly.}
6.) 16 Sep 2023 08:43:12
The fact is the majority of our fanbase just wants a well run club where we haven't got administration hanging over our head and we can once again compete in the top half then go from there.
24 Oct 2023 17:49:51
Spot on Chris.
24 Oct 2023 05:10:14
It’s a tough gig that they are paid a small fortune for doing. Sorry Ed but I will never be grateful to any manager/ player for coming to us when you see the obscene amounts of money they are paid.
Let’s face it, it’s the only job I know where you can be a complete failure and still earn a fortune. Ok there’s being a politician, but that’s because there bent as f**k.
{Ed025's Note - i agree with that Harlex and think all players, managers and agents are paid obscene amounts mate, but in the context of where we are as a club i think we have the right man..
29 Aug 2023 08:41:23
? taxi!
27 Aug 2023 10:56:07
Ines is another who is past his best. We’ve just spent 13m on a young striker let’s try playing him.
10 Aug 2023 23:41:12
Let’s just see. Oh and yes DFS he is a very good player.
27 Nov 2023 10:35:54
I thought they said no sporting advantage was gained?
I mean how can you gain a sporting advantage by overspending on your new ground?
{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with the stadium.}
27 Nov 2023 10:34:07
Walking home from the game yesterday having the usual debate with my mate as to where we went wrong. Yes they scored a worldy early on, but even that could have been avoided with tighter marking.
I agree with Brass, when we pressed them they panicked and we were on them. At half time the feeling was that we could still win this. However, the team for some reason decided to sit deep and allow them possession again. Yes the crowd were vocal, but they were pleading with the players to push forward and get in their faces.
There were a few out there who simply underperformed, and substitution should and could have been made earlier.
Utd had a young lad in midfield who basically ran the game for them, and our midfielders got no where near his level of commitment. I would have liked to see young Dobbin given a run, especially as both our wide players were having poor games.
Once the pen went in it was game over, and all the backing in the world from the fans wasn’t going to make any difference. Manager has to change his tactics when playing at home, we need two strikers on the pitch. We need to be pressing teams the full ninety minutes and not allow them to dictate the rhythm of the game.
Felt yesterday we played the badge and not the team.
22 Nov 2023 00:42:21
It’s a debating site. People are just putting forward an opinion for discussion.
06 Nov 2023 10:23:21
Interesting question. I think it was as much Sam’s manner as his style of play that supporters didn’t like. Little did we know then the mess we would be in over the coming seasons, with managers coming and going and the football getting worse.
At the time I think supporters felt that we should be playing better football than what they were seeing. Fast forward a few years and their now seems to be an acceptance that we are where we are, and this is the best we can do.
Ironic really when you think about it.
06 Nov 2023 10:14:10
I applaud Arteta for saying it as it is. Maybe more managers should come out and have their say, and stop worrying about getting fined. I mean none of them are short of a few quid .
It seems bazaar that the best league in the world with the biggest income of any leagues, can have such poor officials. Agree they should be miked up so we can hear what they’re saying. But if you listened to the recording of them talking during the Liverpool game. It was like listening to a group of mates just having a bit of banter.
The professional approach just wasn’t there, and this is what worries me. You now have a small group of people controlling how football is played and refereed. They have almost become fireproof, formed there own little clique and taken centre stage in matches. In the past a good referee was one who you hardly noticed was there. Now it’s all we talk about.
Is VAR to blame? Well it hasn’t helped. The game is becoming slow and boring, and to add to that we now have matches running into 10mins + (Fergie would have loved that) just because of the amount of time wasted in games.
No the old system wasn’t perfect. But if the linesman’s flag went up it was offside and the game was stopped straight away. Supporters had a moan about it but then moved on. Now it’s analysed for days afterwards, and becomes the main talking point of the game.
What’s the answer? Well here’s my penny’s worth. Mike the referees up so supporters can hear what they’re saying, not just to other officials but to players as well. Introduce sin bins, punish the offending side so the other side gets an immediate advantage. It works in Rugby and it improved the game.
Your thoughts chaps?
