Ed002 a call out. Benitez a possibility?

billscrocodiletears

{Ed002's Note - He won’t want to be the assistant to Moyes BCT.}

1.) 01 Dec 2019 22:22:09
Whoa moyes coming.

2.) 01 Dec 2019 22:24:01
Do I know you Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Obviously I cannot answer that.}

3.) 02 Dec 2019 00:32:53
Please, let it be benitez.

4.) 02 Dec 2019 15:39:19
alrite everyone first time blue on here i thought we played well yesterday okay we lost in the end like but just think its time for silva to go with derby coming up this wednesday its not ideal i would like see eddy howe get job with big dunc as his number 2 but just my opinion or maybe rafa Benítez he can go back basics sort defence out none this zonal marking that seen in last few weeks but again just my opinion.

{Ed025's Note - welcome to the madhouse andy..

5.) 02 Dec 2019 16:42:45
(ed025) who would you want as next manager that you think could do good job at goodison with current players there.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think im the person to ask andy, i have been happy with our choices previously only to get bitten on the arse every time mate, i can tell you who i dont want though...moyes, hughes, allardyce or howe, we need a serial winner who will shake things up imo..

6.) 02 Dec 2019 17:46:10
fair enough ed just thought with eddy howe doing good job at bournemouth and also being a blue aswell he might know club bit more and maybe give us some stability that he has done for bournemouth aswell but thanks for reply ed.

{Ed001's Note - Howe is someone that suffers from the exact same issues as Martinez and Silva - can't organise a defence.}

7.) 02 Dec 2019 21:20:19
So you’re saying he fits the profile?

8.) 02 Dec 2019 22:29:06
What’s people’s thoughts on bielsa from Leeds?

Everton ready 'huge' third offer for Sigurdson. 'Player plus 45 Mill' is the rumour. If they are serious and a third offer would indicate they are, then why haven't they offered the 50 Mill, Swansea can then take it or leave it and we can all move on.

billscrocodiletears

1.) 31 Jul 2017 17:40:42
I've heard the same, but that this is an agreed approach between the two clubs. fingers crossed this one gets over the line and then we can focus on bringing some speed to work alongside that quality.

2.) 31 Jul 2017 18:50:25
Ed any news of this.

{Ed025's Note - i know nothing about this rich mate..

28 Dec 2016 19:52:25
van dyke must be worth 60 mill after that start against spuds.

billscrocodiletears

1.) 28 Dec 2016 20:25:35
Just gone down by 20 million, he lost out on a header by Ali who scored!

2.) 28 Dec 2016 21:23:59
yep noticed and was just about to post but you beat me to it. Funny how the commentators missed what was obvious to us.

3.) 29 Dec 2016 11:41:41
Well after that result surely we should get him on a free now. 😀.

03 Dec 2016 21:37:24
The scale of Koeman's job is becoming more and more apparent every week now. Catch22 without the players we cannot progress and we cannot progress unless we can attract the players and to attract the players we need to be at least top 6.

Ergo as much as we want things to happen in the January window, nobody of quality will come unless we:
A) Pay over the odds

B) Pay wages over the odds

billscrocodiletears

1.) 03 Dec 2016 23:03:31
It does seem that is likely to be the case until we establish our credentials!

2.) 03 Dec 2016 23:25:27
Get the chequebook out farhad.

3.) 04 Dec 2016 18:40:38
Have to agree there is no quick fix to oour problems but let's see more youngsters given a go. Holgate was excellent today and Davies deserves a chance.

07 Jun 2016 06:43:36
Saints are worried that Koeman will come back and raid for their stars. Forster (is he better than what we have - Yes) , Van Dyke (in the long run he is no better than what we have) , Shane Long (about on a par with Naismith and better than Kone (although Koeman has worked with Kone before, we could be in for a surprise) ) .

billscrocodiletears

1.) 07 Jun 2016 07:08:11
I am sorry but I think Long is much better than Naismith and as for Lone and the like it's time for them to go.

2.) 07 Jun 2016 07:15:03
I really like Virgil van Dijk and would be better than Scott Dann for me but I am sure I read that he only signed a new contract recently through until 2022 so would cost far too much.
And Fraser Forster signed a new contract around a similar time through to 2021, but I would look to stump up the cash for a top keeper so worth looking at.

3.) 07 Jun 2016 08:04:02
Can't see Forster coming. Like has been said, he just signed a long term contract. Plenty other keepers about, Cillisen, Mandanda or Leno. If reports are true, Southampton are trying to stop Koeman coming back for players put into the deal. If so it's a shame as I'd like us to try for Saido Mane and Ryan Bertrand.

4.) 07 Jun 2016 08:42:55
No matter what happens I quite like the idea that none of us have known for weeks maybe months what is actually happening I Like the Way Moshiri goes about conducting business. I hope this can only bode well for the future.

5.) 07 Jun 2016 11:36:33
For all we know, there could be a buy out figure, in Forster's contract, Koeman wouled know that, so let's hope.

6.) 07 Jun 2016 12:51:07
is that the same shane long that picked Reading over us a few seasons ago? I really dislike him think at the time he said he never wants to join us,

7.) 07 Jun 2016 18:25:09
Decent enough player I suppose, but he's always just had one of those faces I'd love to smack. Dunno why. Guess he doesn't care thiugh in his mansion and ferrari. Haha.

Long way to go and rode our luck but the passion, discipline and no give up brought the place rocking. From left field how about Moyes/ Big Dunc combo and see how it goes. We are not going to pull up any roots but having had the soul sucked out of us by one of the worse managers in my memory, it would be folly to allow that Big Dunc injection go to waste. One thing playing like that means extreme fitness and will entail Squad rest. And yes it is celebration time, I fear deaf and dumb breakfast tomorrow.

billscrocodiletears

1.) 07 Dec 2019 17:04:26
BCT I'm only up for DM if he takes an interim role right now I like the Ferguson ''passion'' it's like a breath of fresh air after breathing stale stuff for way way too long .
Atm DF is the caretaker boss and me personally I am happy with that .

2.) 07 Dec 2019 17:21:07
We would have more performance like that with Moyes and Ferguson and is probably the sensible approach. I don’t want to choose passion or good football. We demand both but first play with heart then look after that to take the next step.
If we play with heart with the players we have I believe we should be top 6.
New players needed and better quality football needed to challenge big boys. Can Moyes and Dunc take us there?

3.) 07 Dec 2019 19:15:21
"Can Moyes and Dunc take us there? " NO!

4.) 07 Dec 2019 19:48:22
Is this a wind up? Moyes never played against a top 6 side like we did today had have gone for the draw. Stop rewriting history. Moyes is no fit to lace big duncs boots.

5.) 07 Dec 2019 21:19:58
And he never showed the passion like DF today.

6.) 07 Dec 2019 22:37:33
I get not everyone wants Moyes back but he did have us playing with intensity and had the crowd behind the players as a 12th man.

04 Dec 2019 21:35:41
Is he still here tomorrow Everton?

billscrocodiletears

1.) 04 Dec 2019 21:48:50
Be amazed if he is. brings on Sneiderlan when you have Walcot and Tosun on the bench. What a dick!

2.) 04 Dec 2019 21:52:38
Guess what.

3.) 04 Dec 2019 21:54:54
What?

4.) 04 Dec 2019 21:57:47
The 'marcoistas' will still say he needs time, I have had it with silva and people who want keep him and risk relegation.

5.) 04 Dec 2019 22:07:35
I think even a top lawyer would find it hard to argue a defence for him. Not all his fault but as manager you carry the can. Never see a director or owner sacked!

6.) 04 Dec 2019 22:07:48
Should have the decency to resign but won't. I am starting to worry about where we will be playing next season.

7.) 04 Dec 2019 22:11:15
Ive never done this, and I've supported the blues thru thick n thin like all on here. but decided i can't take the emotional turmoil nor embarrassment (if i'm completely honest) anymore, so i will not be using my season ticket until this clown is replaced with a suitable replacement. All these pundits keep asking what do everton fans want. My answer is i want a team that understands how privaledged they are, that play with pride, that compete for honours of some sort. I want a manager and a board capable of delivering that team. that's it! The club are failing miserably.

8.) 04 Dec 2019 22:12:34
Why would he rip up his contract and not receive any pay off.

9.) 04 Dec 2019 22:13:10
To bring on Schneiderlin when we’re 4-2 down is baffling. I think it’s time for him to go as he’s clueless.
Defence an absolute shambles, we need some one who can sort out the basics, not sure the players we have are cut out for a relegation fight, worrying times indeed.

10.) 04 Dec 2019 22:21:49
I said in one of my posts that this is the worst situation the club has been in 74 years of supporting the club.

Even in the Johnston era the players played to the best of their ability even though they were crap.

Presently we have a squad that is playing well below their potential, a board that is fractured and has no idea how to get us out of this mess, a manager who is well above his head, an owner who has lousy advisers and a Director of Football who doesn't seem to be using his expertise.

Silva has to go and now, and the management needs restructuring.

11.) 04 Dec 2019 22:37:50
Brining schnids on at any point, no matter the score, is baffling Dan.

04 Dec 2019 21:04:57
I hope to God that the PR department like Parliamentarians, have people that peruse these boards.

This situation is down to you Mr Kenwright for your refusal (despite lack of football knowledge) to let go, and you Mr Moshri for taking advice off someone that clearly has motivation other than football knowledge. Lastly you Mr Silva, for your arrogant belief, despite the irrefutable proof of your CV that you are a Premiership Manager.

Between you, you have ensured that this great Club is fighting relegation at Christmas time.

Never since my first knowledge late 50's, have I been so worried. The fault is yours Mr Kenwright and yours Mr Moshri for not applying your business accumen.

It's part of being a blue at the minute mate. We are all after the same thing and as we always do we will come together when they need us.

01 Dec 2019 21:50:18
Goes The post is it Kenwright with his 5 percent exerting influence or is it Moshrie with his 79 percent. My stance has always been Kenwrights interference, interlaced with Moshri's reliance on an advisor, who on judged results knows F all about football.

Also depends how Duncan gets on with Unsy and his input from our U23's. That Team put out against Chelsea was not Duncan's, it was a case of impossible to tinker but was a case of get your 'expletive' fingers out and we saw the results. Yes Chelsea could have been ahead but they were rattled, luck made by our effort, constant harrying and speed of movement. In the end as oft said it came down to basics.

The lad is all Everton, BW, this endeavour and effort was due to the regard all (ALL) players hold him with and the players showing us (supporters) that they can give the effort. Who knows what goes on in the dressing room but the suspicion is that those such as Duncan have been stifled. We played 4 4 2 but not rigidly so. Under Silva in particular not only did we not play 4 4 2 at home but it appeared the Team had to stick rigidly to his system. Will we beat Utd? I doubt it they are flying at the moment but if we try and give the same as we did against Chelsea, who can complain. Big Dunc himself said, it was an honour, but he is not ready yet. The Club need to look carefully at who they want. My opinion was always Benitez but it appears Everton have not shown interest (no idea why) . I know the feeling by some about Moyes but how about (after the next 2 or 3 games) looking at a Moyes/ Ferguson/ Cahill setup! Moyes experience with those two in tow just could propel us.

Worcester mate, who is clamouring, none I have read. Dunc did what he was supposed to do yesterday, it was a brilliant PR move by Kenwright and Moshri because the expectation was not there to win. It was there however, (from those of us that saw him play and every week see him metaphorically kicking every ball) , to see this side put in an owed performance of endeavour and never say die. That is what he achieved. For me any new Manager would be doing a huge service by having Dunc as his 2 I/ C.

SIG, the man had no idea, does not understand the Premiership and certainly did not get this City or Everton. Have you ever seen an Everton non-performance like that against Liverpool. I have seen performances like the one against Norwich coming but never in all my years did I think I would see that against that lot. Even the Kendall result being worse, the performance was better.

The utter stupidity of hiring a man whose stats and CV glaringly say don't touch, has set this great Club back and it is going to take someone/ something special to get us up the table given our next few games. Yesterday was a one off but that atmosphere has been missing for years and worth a goal before even kicking off. I hope against hope the Club get it right this time.
