I was thinking why on earth do we play like all we have to do is turn up in these games, then reading scored. why do we always seen laboured when we play a lower division team or any team we thing we should beat anyway, its almost like the players think is a training match, why is lennon at right back, b4 anyone says its a back 3 its not lennon barely gets past half way.
the fans make a huge effort to see this team play, if the players put as much effort in these games maybe we would not still be waiting after 20 yrs for a trophy

spot on mate just don't get lennon at right back we should have started browning there after all he played well at Swansea then had lennon and delboy as r wide men in place of the hopeless kone only reason I can think browning hasn't played is that coleman injury is a little worse than first thought so he protecting him for west brom match plus we just recalled jon jo Kenny from his loan spell at wigan as well

What is wrong with you guys. RM tried something different by half time it wasn't working so he fixed, we won. You don't think of the bigger picture. The League Cup is the only competition RM has the chance to try some new things on the pitch.Last season most fans were saying he was stubborn, inflexible, so when he tries something a little different he gets criticised. We don't know the 'ins' and 'outs' of what goes on at the club. I bet few of us realised wht Del Boy hadn't been given a start until last night but RM explained the reasons and very good ones they were too. I think we have done pretty well so far this season, one fefeat in 8 games and that was against MAN CITY.
5 away games , 3 wins and 2 draws with a little more luck we could have won at Swansea so let's stop the bloody whingeing

Don't get me wrong I like Lennon but think his signing after Del Boy signing was strange, I honestly think he changed the system to play a few that hadn't featured and thought it would be enough anyway

Well said Wellzee. I agree with pretty much everything you said. I'm glad RM gave players that haven't featured much so far some decent playing time. They deserve it. Doesn't bother me what formation he plays or even who he plays as long as we win. That has to be main priority surely.
At the same time I get what toffeblue is saying about the effort of the team at times. On occasion some of the players look lethargic and even sometimes the team does. Although very rarely this season so far. Lukaku is a prime example of a player that at times looks uninterested for whatever reason.
As I said all that stuff doesn't bother me when we win. Martinez has to be praised whenever we win and we should enjoy it. People will give out and complain though. Guess there is no pleasing some people. Wellzee I love your comment on we don't know the 'ins' and 'outs' of stuff that goes on behind the scenes.
No one outside the first team staff do so we have to assume teams are picked and set up in a certain way for a reason. Not everyone will agree with me and will want to do nothing but give out about formation or a player or whatever.
My opinion is as long as we're winning I'm happy with it. Just my opinion, I know it won't be everyone's.

lennon had a really good game the other night never stopped running and making himself available even put a couple of good tackles in! just shows the boys willingness to play wherever and whenever he can! but as someone mentioned we really needed him in a more attacking area he would have caused problems just as Gerry did!
Kone and Lukaku were poor if it hadn't been for Stones injury the new lad may have got the last 10 minutes.

ok so my point being, why do we look like we only have to turn up against opposition like reading, barnsley or lesser teams, we always make them look good. we played better 2nd half granted but u can't tell me the 1st half performance from us, which is a regular feature when we play these teams, is something that does not need addressing. the team should be going out to show how good we are every game regardless of the opposition not go out thinking we will just walk through this game.
my other point is that experiment ok that's fine, but playing a right mid like lennon at right back why? he never gna be a right back, try wing back then ok fair play, I dnt get it bu ok experiment away.
now I am moaning about how the team play against lesser teams, and I don't see how anyone can be happy (win aside) playing like that because we will lose as many as we win.

seems rodwell rumour is gathering pace, I hope to god its rubbish, he is always injured and even when fit he not all that, I was not sure about robby when he took over but he has convinced me but if he signs rodwell I will take a step back, we all know rodwell, he was never great and since he left has not improved, I am hoping this is lazy reporting because if this is the player we are looking for we are in trouble.
1.) I thought Rodwell was very good. At the time he was 20/21? He was very comfortable on the ball and already had an intelligence and maturity to his game. As it is rumoured, £5m is an absoloute steal for a player with the class of Rodwell if he can get his fitness back I have no doubt he will go on to captain us. That is, if James McCarthy doesn't get it first!
2.) You must have gone to a different Goodison Park than me. Rodwell under Moyes never really got a chance. He's a good player in his own position and would make a good addition to our squad. As for the fitness concerns, there have been young players in the past with injury records that disappeared as they got older.Let's have Jack back!

I have to say fans booing 45 mins into the first game of the season absolutly idiots. that's a great wsy to show you support everton.
Aside from the pathetic blue tinted glasses fans we played well controlled until the goal and swcond half we stepped up a gear.

I have no clue how the whole issue with the leeds, foxes situation works but my pennys worth is this. It would be very hard to prove we had an on field advantage such that would have kept us up over them. 19.5m what would they attribute that to that kept us up. Regardless of that we did break the rules but they got them selves in a position to be relegates by them selves as we did. Sueing us is never going to happen because if they won that would open a whole new world of law suits across the football world. I just dnt see a big payout to them at all.
Like i said i have no idea how it works i am prob well off the mark. Its just what i feel.
