We played really well today until we brought on Ashley Young. Might as well play with 10 men bringing him on.

I completely agree, I think he should have been given the penalty, but we fell apart defensively when he came on today.

2.) 22 Feb 2025 14:47:20
We played well first half but after that we were pretty poor all over.

3.) 22 Feb 2025 14:50:40
Decoure responsible for both free kicks that they scored from - no surprises there.

4.) 22 Feb 2025 14:55:49
Stupid Young played well as did the whole Team.

5.) 22 Feb 2025 23:19:09
Our failure to shackle Fernando's when he dropped back to midfield, like we did to Gravenbach in the Derby cost us the game. Brought Young on to secure right flank when Ferdinand and Garnacho linked up. Possibly Alkaraz might of been better pushing them back and swapping Iroegbunam for Doucoure to keep physicality upfront. Utd game management was good keeping ball in play so we couldn't get subs on hurt us too.

I think we owe our players an apology. Most of us said they were useless and it wasn't Sean Dyche fault he was working with bad players. Well the last few games have proved that it was indeed Sean Dyche and our players aren't as bad as we all thought. What a difference a new manager makes we are climbing up the league table rightly. Look at Forest they have similar squad to us and they are 3rd in the league I knew it was Dyche. As for Virgil saying it's our cup final well he wasn't saying that when Klopp was running about the pitch like a mad man when origi scored in the last min of the derby was he. Ha ha.

Dino1

1.) 13 Feb 2025 13:13:30
Not sure many fans said the players were useless - majority of us could see through Dyche the fraud with his boring negative tactics.

Theres a few on here that will have to eat some humble pie in relation to Beto - he’s taken his opportunity really well and proving that he is a premier league striker.

I wasn’t one looking forward to Moyes coming back, however he’s won me over and got to give him credit for how he’s turned it around for us - got the players playing for each other, playing for the badge and actually trying to win games - think his time away from the club has benefited him as he appears to have a different mindset to how he was when with us the first time.

2.) 13 Feb 2025 13:32:05
I don't remember many, if any saying that it wasn't Sean Dyche's fault tbh Dino. This team is still littered with poor players but the setup and simplicity of playing to it's and individuals strengths is what is making the major difference. The impetus on getting the ball in and around dangerous areas as quickly as possible. Moyes is simply a much better manager than Sean Dyche is.

The introduction of Ndiaye this season has been brilliant and he has won us a lot of points on his own but he did this under Dyche as well. Mangala imo has been
solid for us and unfortunately has got injured. We can swap him out for Garner, who has a brilliant footballing brain, i just hope we can keep him fit. We have obviously got O'Brien in the team of late thanks to Moyes and that has remedied a very problematic area for us in the RB spot.

The decent players have remained the same

Pickford
Tark
JB
Gana
Garner (only just returned)

Equally, the same average players are still here

Young
Myko
Patterson
Keane
Doucoure
Harrison
Lindstrom
DCL

The spine of the team is decent, especially now we can add Alcaraz and young Tim in that mix. Beto for all his imperfections can finish if he is given opportunities. Depends if you prefer a striker than can do that or one that can win a header.

Moyes meant every word when he said that we need to bring in some quality players to match the stadium. He isn't a mug and a lot of these players will not be getting minutes next season, unless it is from the bench.

Pickford

O'Brien
x
JB
x

Garner
x/ Gana (old)

x
x
Ndiaye

x

That is my honest assessment of the starting 11 if we/ Moyes wants to get us back to competing for Europe again next season. Having to upgrade more than half of the first 11 says it all.

Don't get me wrong Moyes has done absolutely brilliant since he came in and the players have also but we played Villa and lost, then a side that everyone has been beating of late and one that is decimated by injuries, a very poor side in Leicester and then a derby, form goes out of the window and we all know and last night proved that again, anything can happen.

I think this could end up 3 nil to spurs. Hope I am wrong.

Dino1

1.) 19 Jan 2025 14:32:19
You are! ?.

2.) 19 Jan 2025 14:33:00
It’s working I said to the son their maybe if I say it will be 3 0 to spurs maybe we will win 3 0.Wish we could play spurs every week.

3.) 19 Jan 2025 14:38:13
Looks like your wrong mate. And so was I.

4.) 19 Jan 2025 14:52:42
You are.

5.) 19 Jan 2025 14:57:07
Totally.

I never wanted Sean Dyche from day one I think the guy is the worst manager in the world most Everton supporters thought he was the man but I think everyone knows now he isn't. My cat knows more about Football than him and he has Jacky Charlton tactics. unfortunately we can't sack him now because if we do we will definitely go down the reason I say this is you get Potter in and he tries to play football we will concede goal after goal as our players need trained on playing possession football and that takes time and we don't have time. We just need to hope and pray that we can pick enough points up to survive playing hoof ball. If we can pick enough points up and survive then we can move forward into our new stadium with a new manager and tell Sean to F off. We must survive that's the most important thing and changing manager as much as we would like to could be the final nail in the coffin.

Dino1

1.) 04 Dec 2024 09:21:00
over reactionary to say the least

not doing the job this season, so is time to part ways more than likely, but to write off his work from last season and season before given the circumstances is ridiculous

the 2 managers before him were worse, so it ruins you're argument straight from the off.

2.) 04 Dec 2024 09:40:47
Mate have you enjoyed the last 3 seasons because I haven’t it’s been horrendous. We play the worst football in the world and you might be able to pick enough points up to stay up by playing hoof ball but that’s not football it’s bloody embarrassing. Write off his work you say what work? We are terrible there is no work we boot the ball whatever way we are facing and hope for the best. Yes we stayed up but let’s face it we are bad and our football is bad and we have been lucky because there is some rubbish teams now in the premiership that’s it’s near impossible to go down. There is always 3 teams that are completely useless at the bottom which have helped keep us up. Years ago you needed 40pts to stay up now it’s just over 30 some years. If we still needed 40pts we would be bang in trouble. Hopefully.

3.) 04 Dec 2024 10:10:07
Hey Dino is your cat available mate? ?.

4.) 04 Dec 2024 10:55:49
Dino you lost me when you say he's the worst manager in the world, then go on to say we can't sack him cause we'll go down.

My take is I've never liked the football we play under dyche and if the right manager is available then bring him in. Shake dyches hand and thank him for keeping us up last year and draw a line under this shambles.

Its asking hell of a lot to bring new staff in, move into a new stadium and recruit the players we need if we wait til the end of the season.

5.) 04 Dec 2024 11:11:11
Pretty pragmatic post that Dino and I can see your point about getting rid may be a mistake at this time. It will be interesting to see what the Friedkin's do when the take over is complete. It will be in their gift to keep or bin Dyche and we will just have to live with the decision they make.

6.) 04 Dec 2024 11:22:22
He did no fing work the last two seasons it was bery good luck and the geeling of injustice thst carried the supporters and players. Dyches tactics didn't/ haven't changed. Hard work/ yards carries you only so far. It is fine at lower levels (I was rubbish but managed to get into sides) but obviously at this you need far more. The bloke comes across as shovel thick. He has lost the players and has to go.

7.) 04 Dec 2024 11:55:16
Sorry to tell you Amomblue2 but he is the worst manager in the world. Plays the worst football the most boring football in the world and it’s not entertaining it’s garbage. Do you think we play football because I’ll let you in on another secret we don’t. He doesn’t know what football is. It’s the most boring time to support football it’s pure crap.100 percentage crap. I can’t even watch the matches now it’s that boring.

8.) 04 Dec 2024 12:17:16
I think the point that some are trying to make, and that's accurate, is that the worst manager in he World would not have kept us up last season.

9.) 04 Dec 2024 12:35:28
Think it's evident to all us blues that Dyches time is coming to a end Dino, the results performances and whole general feel in and around the club is low, a new start and manager will be very welcome and hopefully lift the vibe on and off the pitch and get some positivity in and around the place which with abit of luck will transcend onto the pitch and these chances we ain't taking change. All about confidence and as a club we have very little.

Dyche was the right guy at a the time, as don't forget we wasn't exactly able to attract or afford much more, he isn't the right person now and not helped by his smugness and arrogance in interviews, he can't keep living off saying us.

Agree bringing someone new in is a risk as this squad seems lack leaders, creativity and pace but hopefully a new regime gives us that lift in short term to survive as I ain't as confident as previously that if Dyche stays we stay up.

10.) 04 Dec 2024 13:04:58
So why not sack him? If he's the worst in the world anyone can do a better job.

11.) 04 Dec 2024 13:21:32
I would have sacked him at the end of last season which would have gave the new manager time to work on things. Our training for the last few years has been amateur at best. We work on corners, free kicks and defending. What I am saying is if you change manager now a new manager will want to play football and this lot can’t play football it takes time. We will give away goal after goal and definitely go down. I think the best thing to do is hope and pray that this garbage football is enough to scrape enough points to stay up. It’s the worst football in the world but it might get us the 35pts we need. Am I confident no but as you said it’s been enough the last 3 season it’s our best shot at this point.

12.) 04 Dec 2024 15:13:46
Dino I agree with pretty much everything you say. I was in the camp of keeping dyche til the end of the season as I honestly didn't think we'd get relegated under him. Now I think we have no choice other than change him. He's obviously not going to be here next season.

Start of next season we will (hopefully) have new owners, new board, new stadium, new coaching staff and new players. that's too much change to be implemented successfully in the off season. Sooner we get new owners and change dyche the better.

13.) 04 Dec 2024 15:56:53
These are professional footballers, and at sometime in their career they would have played passing football. It would not take a good manager that long to turn it around. The problem is we never employ a good manager.

23 Nov 2024 19:17:02
Imagine being McNeil he must feel like that baby Reindeer show. His whole career he has been stalked by this creep Dyche.
That's like a horror movie lad makes it as a professional and has been stalked by the Grim Reaper of football.

Aye and they done the same when we equalised vs Liverpool took forever trying to find something wrong with that and they probably would have disallowed it only that night I think they knew we would have wrecked the place if they had of. Sometimes I think it’s Ian rush watching the var for Liverpool and Alex Ferguson watching var for Man Utd games and we haven’t spent money in years and get points deduction when Utd can’t even buy sellotape and screws they have spent that much but no points deduction. Makes you wonder sometimes doesn’t it.2 tier policing it’s seems like.

Should have stuck with the on field decision wasn’t enough clear evidence to overturn it. Wasn’t surprised they didn’t give it as they took 6 mins trying to find something wrong with our first goal when anyone could clearly see in 20 secs it was a good goal.
