Silva looks to me like he's lost the confidence of the players. On paper our strongest 11 is a match for any team in the premier at the moment but every team we play seem to just want it more!

I've always said give him time but I can't see any belief in the players or manager that things are changing, I think time for a change with a manager that brands wants hopefully someone with the passion that this club needs on the touch line and brave enough to make the big decisions in a game rather than going through the same tactics and same lack lustre performances week in week out.

Brands needs to go too can't come out of this unscathed as these are his signings. Silva is poor but working with terrible players that cost a fortune to assemble which is brands faultso they should both be removed.

2.) 06 Oct 2019 21:05:40
Do we just buy players by trawling statistics? As we seem to buy too many square pegs for round holes.

3.) 06 Oct 2019 21:44:07
To be fair I think we are currently going through the pain of poor player recruitment from other regimes which I feel hampered out activity on player recruitment.
Having said that I think we dilly rallied too long on the Zouma hope and that cost us plus we didn’t get a striker who would deliver now, or perhaps we did but just don’t play to their strengths 🤷🏻‍♂️
Talking of which, this zonal marking keeps coming out as part of our woes, maybe our personnel aren’t capable of that And other teams work out how to exploit the gaps we leave 🤦🏻‍♂️.

4.) 07 Oct 2019 14:48:22
The defence was fine end of last season with same defensive tactics. Injuries to midfield and missing Zouma imho. Fixable although does seem awful at the moment. The majority where all overjoyed with summer recruitment so can't all now going it was rubbish just because we had a bad spell. Keep together cheer our hearts out bring back ty here confidence and we will come back stronger. In minority I know but don't get rid of silva. If we did that after a few bad matches we would turn into Watford.

5.) 07 Oct 2019 21:14:31
I’m not saying the summer recruitment was rubbish I like Iwobi Delph Kean and Gbamin there’s just something not right with the way we are playing end of last season the team seemed up for it, and Gueye was bossing the middle of the park! Clearly miss his energy.
We could turn the corner again but then again we may have done that too many times already.

Moyes is a no
Howe and Dyche no
Sheff Utd manager no
Rafa maybe certainly worth a punt
Arteta unproven so a risk
Personally I think if possible Jesse marsch from Salzburg would be the best fit for us and if I was on our board would do everything in my power to try and get him!

Every manager is a risk even Mourinho, but I think the break will have done him good, When he had the incident with the physio at Chelsea, he changed was more aggressive and fighting against media and then at Utd, just read article about his best friend who is sporting director at Lille and he said his next project will be his best work, listen I’m not his biggest fan but we can brand names about but if we’re serious and want to be top 6 and top 4 regular we need to get him as how many of the others can you see getting top 4. We either stick with Silva or go get a top manager who is available for right project, the others won’t do any better than last 3 managers.

2.) 08 Oct 2019 17:54:51
See your point true blue but do you think Mourinho would come? I was going for more targets I thaught were realistic at the moment tbh
But as you say Mourinho would be a real coup and he would have a point to prove aswell.

3.) 08 Oct 2019 20:30:23
Lots of articles across the web that Erik Ten Hag is of interest just can’t see him leaving Ajax for us though.

4.) 08 Oct 2019 20:36:09
All a bit pointless at the moment as we don’t appear to be in the market for a new manager at the moment.
Will be interesting to see how long Marco gets to improve results, the way we’re going it may not be that long and then all these discussions may actually be worth it.

{Ed025's Note - we have to pass the time somehow dan, its better than watching us at the moment mate..

5.) 08 Oct 2019 21:04:41
It certainly is Ed025. Of course we could discuss my sex life. Well that was quick. Funnily enough my ex wife used to say that. Any one for scrabble?

{Ed025's Note - i have given all that lark up myself nick, give me a bacon butty any day mate..

6.) 08 Oct 2019 21:22:49
With respect, Mourinho coming to Everton is pure fantasy. There’s no way on earth that he’d even consider it!

As for the other names people are throwing in the hat, come on! Dyche, seriously? Howe? I even saw Gary Monk’s name thrown in the other day.

At the end of the day, Silva is still the manager and I can’t see that changing any time soon unfortunately. If it does, then we will have a problem getting a proven, quality manager that will take us forward. In my humble opinion, the only realistic target that would be anywhere near an upgrade on silva would be Benitez.

7.) 08 Oct 2019 22:42:52
Why not I don’t see he has the pick of clubs like he did few years ago, madrid and Barcelona can’t see it now Poch will go to real there is no clubs in England at top 2/ 3 were the right project money is there new stadium on horizon, were not a club that can’t compete.

8.) 09 Oct 2019 09:26:54
salzburg manager is a risk, what basis are you wanting him from? the fact he almost got a draw with liverpool?

9.) 09 Oct 2019 11:26:16
You need to watch other games of Salzburg. Smashing that league and playing well in Europe other than Liverpool game. I just worry if he is another Martinez as they do have defensive frailties.

10.) 09 Oct 2019 12:35:20
On the Mourinho front the fact that he hasn't got clubs clamoring after him is irrelevant, its not like he's going down the job centre every week looking for work. He can pick and choose who his next club will be and I can't see him picking or choosing Everton.

Does anyone know where the pictures the photographer outside the ground before yesterday's match will be printed / available to view?
He was taking some of my 4 year old at his first game, would like to see them if possible?

Fjefc13

1.) 29 Sep 2019 12:51:54

2.) 29 Sep 2019 13:15:37
I know they put pictures of fans up on instagram mate, have a look there.

3.) 29 Sep 2019 13:11:55
If it is the club photographer, they may be used in the programs for future games.

4.) 29 Sep 2019 14:26:47
Thanks for your help I’ll have a look .

5.) 29 Sep 2019 14:42:09
Hope you can find some pics of you and your lad, make his first visit to Goodison that bit more special. If he can ignore the result, that is!

6.) 29 Sep 2019 15:53:26
Cheers bluepotato
We have plenty of pics and videos of the day he will remember it for life as will I!
Just be good to see if he makes the match day programme.

7.) 29 Sep 2019 23:14:54
Keep your eyes peeled then, FJ, you never know! A mate of mine took his youngest to his first game recently and they ended up on the clubs official instagram so hopefully it will be a similar story for you mate.

Hi all, I'm taking my little lad to his first game tomorrow (might mentally scar him for life I know) but was wondering what time the players arrive So he can try and get a picture/ autograph
Thanks COYB.

Fjefc13

{Ed002's Note - Most clubs have the opportunity after the game and put aside space. No doubt someone can explain what happens at Everton.}

1.) 27 Sep 2019 18:56:36
You can meet the players as they enter Goodison at the carpark. Most players will stop to sign autographs/ pictures. I think they usually arrive about 12 - 12:30pm.

2.) 27 Sep 2019 20:35:58
Thanks joe
As it’s 5-30 ko I imagine they get there around 3 then?

3.) 27 Sep 2019 21:57:08
Yes the players arrive about 3hrs before lick off.

4.) 27 Sep 2019 23:49:12
Not sure of your age fjefc, but if you remember the seventies Everton, we had a great winger called Dave Thomas, played with no shin pads and socks rolled down, but he could put the ball on a sixpence.

He now has a guide dog and is attending the game tomorrow, if you want to catch him, he will be upstairs at St Luke’s church, corner of Gwladys Street from 3.30 until 5pm, one of my fav players in the Gordon Lee era.

5.) 28 Sep 2019 00:22:41
Cheers nev, bit before my time but know of him!
My lad only 4 can’t wait to see his face walking up the steps
Not had my season ticket since he was born hopefully renewing for us both next season

I am down in Devon and Cornwall now so don't get to as many games as I would like. I brought my kids up at Goodison and now in turn my Grandson has been a few. We had to take him to I think 4 games before he saw us score a goal and about 7 for his first win. Yet he is still blue through and through! My goodness we have to suffer as loyal supporters!

7.) 28 Sep 2019 15:22:59
I’m interested in this “lick off” Joe was talking about.

8.) 28 Sep 2019 19:02:40
Haha - I’m also interested in the lick off 😂.
