Now that's a tactic. ?
03 May 2026 11:53:01
If we did that they'd charge the rule within a week.
03 May 2026 20:30:11
Seen the rule they're bringing in at World Cup. Supposedly it's a red card to cover your mouth when talking to opposing players. Guarantee we will be 1st team to get a player red carded, then they will scrap the rule.
02 May 2026 13:06:01
I'd really like to see us properly lean into a couple of the young lads rather than just hearing paper talk about them.
For me, Harrison Armstrong has already shown enough to be around the first-team regularly. He looks composed, does the simple things right, and doesn't seem fazed at all. Feels like the kind of player who could quietly grow into a proper Premier League midfielder if we back him.
Same with Braiden Graham, goals are goals at any level, and he's clearly got that natural striker instinct. I'm not saying throw him in as first choice, but give him minutes, especially if we're struggling for a goal.
You never know unless you actually play him.
The one I'm most curious about though is Justin Clarke. I'd love to see him given a proper look, even if it's just early cup games or coming off the bench. He's got that bit of directness we sometimes lack. Then if it looks like he's not quite ready yet, send him out on loan in January and let him get proper minutes.
Feels like we've been crying out for a pathway for years, and now we've actually got a few knocking on the door. Would just be nice to see us commit to it a bit more instead of always trying to play the "experienced" players/favourites.

'You don't win anything with kids.'
03 May 2026 13:40:33
Moyes will never pick kids. He has no interest in developing them for the next manager in a couple of years time. That's why he's going to stick with what we have such as McNeil, Keane, Tarks, Myky and Gueye over the likes of Rhol, Anzu, Dibling and Iroegbunum etc.

Hope we don't make the same mistakes in the next transfer window. All rumours indicate midfield and central defenders with the exception of Delap. We already have Tim and Harrison waiting for minutes in midfield and o, Brian is waiting to move back into central defence. I don't want Delap, twice he has been mentioned and twice has said no or wants to fight for his place. I only want players who want to play for us not come as a last chance saloon.
We all know right back, left back and at least one striker is our minimum requirement. Much as I love Jack I also think it would be a mistake taking him back as it would negatively affect our wage structure and possibly sow seeds of discontent. There are enough players out there if our scouts actually look who can do a similar job for less money. Let's learn from our previous mistakes and get it right this time.

Yeah, seen we are linked with Delap, Stones, White, Grealish and Matt Targett who is a free from Newcastle. I cant stand Delap, but can see Moyes wanting Delap, like I have said b4, typical Moyes center forward, very physical but not a great goal scorer.
Would take Grealish with the right deal, and no to the other 3 as well for me, White is shocking and more bothered about his tan. Stones is always injured and Targett is a championship lb, but then again probably an upgrade on Mykolenko.
02 May 2026 11:56:45
Whether we like it or not, Chelsea are higher up the pecking order than us. Why would Delap have chosen us over them? He'd be an upgrade.
02 May 2026 12:12:41
Our scouts would appear to only watch middle-aged (from a playing standpoint) players who have no sell on value, or players who their teams don't want. If they recommend young players, Moyes will not play them. How is it that other teams manage to find good youngish players at reasonably low cost with sell on value who are ready to play as soon as recruited?
I don't believe that our recruiting has been very good since Moyes returned with one or two exceptions, and we certainly have not filled the striker nor full-back positions that have been needed for years.
02 May 2026 08:25:31
Just reading about our youth players who are out on loan. Most didnt even make the squad or play, so by the looks of things we dont have a crop of players who are ready for the prem even though most on here think they are. Youth football is not anywhere close to non-league football by the looks of things.

Other than Graham, I've not seen posters on here mentioning other youth team players for the first team, so I'm not sure where you got the crop of players from.
01 May 2026 12:20:22
Doesn't look physically big, does he, but he is still growing and will be fit as a fiddle. Most center halves are used to playing against big center forwards that like a battle. Graham is technically very skillful, quick footed and has an eye for goal, which most defenders won't be used to playing against. I would like to see the lad get a few minutes on Monday night, just to give him a taste of Premier League football.
I doubt Dave will do that, but can only hope. Imagine if he had a Rooney moment or instead of jumping for a pointless header against them he would drop deep for the ball, bringing 1 of their center backs out of position, opening a bit of space for a runner, hoping he can find them with a perfectly weighted place. ?
01 May 2026 12:33:31
He's not going to grow much more at 37 and injuries have probably taken their toll too.
01 May 2026 12:54:04
Have you been drinking, SB, lol I'm on about Graham. Similar build to Jeffers and Owen at that age.
01 May 2026 13:08:11
It's a banter site, I was simply responding in a light hearted manner as Seamus was in the picture. It wasn't meant as a serious response. I've posted enough of those lately!
01 May 2026 13:34:02
I laughed.
As long as the kid is in the right place at the right time to stick the ball in the net, I don't care how he's built!
01 May 2026 13:34:37
He's as tall as Seamus and we all know how bloody good he's been, but does size matter? Don't think it does in footy.
01 May 2026 14:14:11
I know, SB, it made me chuckle. ?
01 May 2026 14:30:02
Messi's about 6ft 6, isn't he?
01 May 2026 15:13:26
Yep, JB, and Mo Salah is 5ft 9.
01 May 2026 18:03:55
I think the Sunderland game would be more realistic if we are going to see him get minutes. It's his physicality that worries me a little; he appears very lightweight. Ability wise, the lad has got bags of potential. A good pre-season behind him would help build him up a bit.
01 May 2026 21:36:53
He's just scored 2 more tonight for the U21s and has a hand in all 4 of our goals. They're calling tonight's win against Brentford 'the Braiden masterclass'. Moyes needs to play him on Monday, the kid is clearly a class above the level he is currently playing at.
30 Apr 2026 12:17:16
Just been reading Braiden Graham has been called up for first team training ahead of Monday's game, hope he gets some time on the pitch.

Why not just play him from the start - what is there to lose? Got to be better than what we currently have up front.
30 Apr 2026 18:20:46
Agree, mate, but don't think that will happen. Beto will play, I think.
30 Apr 2026 19:13:35
I'd rather play Dibling in goal before I start Barry up front.
01 May 2026 19:38:02
Chucking him in from the start against City would be madness, get the lad on the bench first, let him taste the first team, chuck him on for the last 10 to score the winner.
