Big Franc scored another brace in 60 mins the other day. Quality finishes too. We would be stupid not to go in for him in Jan.

Reading that JB needs a hamstring operation and will have a prolonged spell recuperating, hope he gets well as soon as possible.

22 Oct 2025 01:04:44
He gave a really positive message after surgery.
He just needs to be patient and not rush back too soon.
If his hamstring was the constant cause of his injuries then an op was the best cure. I just wish he'd had it done in May.

20 Oct 2025 15:21:41
With the news Branthwaite will be having surgery to hopefully finally solve this problem with his hamstring, we have to move O'Brien to centre back and play Garner at right back. I don't think Moyes will, sadly, I think he'll stick to the current back 4.

Garner at right back gives us another option going forward, his end ball is great and his legs can manage the 90 minutes easily, play Rohl next to Gueye, Garner at RB allows Ndiaye another option and not feeling so isolated. That has to be the way forward for me.

I think it forces DM’s hand slightly, we will have to buy a RB in Jan now, can’t see us signing a no.9 though as a result.

{Ed025's Note - according to his last prezzer David seems to think Beto is doing a good job Swinners, it takes all sorts i suppose mate..

20 Oct 2025 19:42:46
Blimey Ed have a word mate.

21 Oct 2025 00:06:57
What RB can we buy? Or even loan? We can have one more domestic loan but I don’t think Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs or anyone has a spare right back to lend us.

21 Oct 2025 14:15:19
Isn’t that what we have scouts for?

{Ed025's Note - our scouts need to go to "specsavers" BMD..

21 Oct 2025 19:25:11
Not in January, this isn't Woolly's. Clubs in Jan tend to hold on to what they have unless some mug (Everton as was) come along with open cheque book.

21 Oct 2025 20:00:45
Agree with original post, Garner at rb for me. Rohl, Dewsbury-hall, Tim, Alcaraz can all operate next to Gana.

21 Oct 2025 20:39:08
All except Tim (at the moment) , not quite at it.

21 Oct 2025 21:10:49
Juanlu Sánchez - Seville. Linked in the summer but reportedly didn't fancy us due to Napoli interest. Could that change now we are a much better proposition.

Jon Aramburu - Sociedad. Busy and tenacious and literally never stops. Closest thing to a young, fit and healthy Seamus. Signed a new deal until 2030, so likely to cost £15/ 20 mill minimum.

Arnau Martínez - Girona. Calm and assured. Adept at defending and attacking. Would be a quality signing but may be picked up by a bigger club. I think Arsenal were in for him in the summer.

Those three would be my preferred options but appreciate it is Jan and likely to have to spend on a striker given how poor the 2 we have are.

Omar El Hilali - Espanyol. Linked in summer but he may be the most costly of any of them with Espanyol reportedly wanting £25/ 30m.

Ángelo Preciado - Prague. Much better than what we have and would be available for very cheap.

Kyriani Sabbe 20 - Club Brugge. Absolutely rapid and very attacking. Decent technique and can actually cross a ball. His team mate Joaquin Seys is also worth a look. Hard to tell which side he is actually better on, as he can cover both flanks as good as the other.

Martim Fernandes - Porto. Composure in abundance. Great feet and comfortable cutting in on his left peg, although may be not best suited to us with Nidaye wanting to do the same.

Josh Acheampong - Chelsea getting defenders back so a domestic loan could be an option. Appreciate he is primarily a CB but can play there comfortably.

There are definitely RB's out there and we could get them in Jan if we were willing.

22 Oct 2025 01:07:25
Bloody hell BlueNose, you definitely need to be our chief scout.

Don’t get too excited WT - until Dibling starts influencing games (positively) I’m holding back on BN’s endorsements….

22 Oct 2025 14:48:44
4 minutes against Liverpool away.
9 minutes against West Ham.
A half against Palace, with a “RB” that gets a nose bleed if he crosses the half way line and when literally every single player in the 11 bar Pickford were abysmal.
4 against City away - 2 down.

62 minutes of football across 6 games.

He has arguably the best player in our team ahead of him and rather than backing him and having patience with a 19 year old kid, you are more concerned with me being wrong.

? Bizarre behaviour honestly.

22 Oct 2025 19:13:25
Grealish at 19 was having a fairly average loan at Notts County

Writing Dibbling off already, or even worse, wanting him to fail, is just very weird.

22 Oct 2025 22:09:51
Not writing him off. Just sprinkling a bit of reality into the conversation.

We need players who can influence games now. Spending £60m on players that might come good is a big risk when we have historic issues in certain positions.

Only winding you up BN. I hope he comes good. What Evertonian doesn’t? I would, however, like to see us get in one or two more who can do a job and we know is decent like KDH and Grealish. I’ve not heard of those on your list and we’ve already taken a punt on an unknown LB.

23 Oct 2025 08:22:04
More than understandable BR. I am totally with you on that as well.

Those above are much further along in their careers than young Aznou. I suspect Moyes and Baines will have him in the gym, as I have seen more meat on a sparrows knee cap.

20 Oct 2025 12:07:13
I no this has nothing to do with Everton, but the Forrest owner seems to be on the same lines as our last owner, clueless, why did they even give the fat Aussie the job in the first place, nearly got spurs relegated, won a tin pot cup that most prem side should win with what's actually in the comp, now dyche is fav to go there, haven't they looked at the crap he caused at Everton with his hard yards ect, then Moyes comes in and shows what a fraud he actually was .

If you want some interesting reading. Go to Marinakis’ Wikipedia page and scroll down to “controversies. ”

How he has passed the fit and proper persons test, God only knows!

20 Oct 2025 16:25:41
Thought there would be post's from your good selves about the appointment of Dyche at Forest (one R", at the moment it's looking desperate, only forward thinking from Marinakis is if we go down Dyche is good at getting out of the Championship ?.
Good luck for rest of season until you play us! .

20 Oct 2025 18:40:35
As a Everton fan from Nottingham I feel sorry for you guys appointing Dyche and his cronies.

20 Oct 2025 20:14:14
I have a friend from Nottingham, last year you couldn't shut him up, Forest this Forest that. I did warn him that it would be difficult keeping up with the big clubs but had no idea the bottom would fall out so quickly. Another owner who thinks that they are better than the hired staff, sack a good Manager who gets them high up in the league and then the rapid decline. Hope you don't get relegated and definitely hope that you get a better manager than Dyche.

20 Oct 2025 21:57:08
Nino had them playing good football. Feel sorry for Forest fans don’t think they will be seeing much attacking football from now on.

21 Oct 2025 00:37:31
Dyche will keep them up but, he won't reach Europe so, will be sacked as soon as Europe is out of reach. Another big pay day for Sean. All those years I spent in industry. Where did I go wrong?

21 Oct 2025 01:20:57
Thanks for your replies, looks like Dyche will be the new coach!, the negatity in his appointment is palable ?.

21 Oct 2025 08:16:34
Youse have got a good team Nottingham and I wish youse well this season but honestly dyche will play the one ball tactic which is boot the ball to chris wood and hold it for other players to run forward he won't change tactics during games he has his favourite people in substitutes ie Ashley young for us and when it goes tits up he will blame the board never blames himself he only got away with it at everton cause moshiri went awol he won't do it at forest cause you're chairman will just sack him do my personal opinion think Marco silva or airola at Bournemouth would been good appointments.

21 Oct 2025 14:17:00
McNeal off to Forest then?

21 Oct 2025 17:42:54
Yes please BMD.

What happens when Grealish returns.

19 Oct 2025 09:11:56
We will have two really good players mate.

19 Oct 2025 09:27:52
Sorry to say, I think we’ll do well to hold on to Ndayie again in the summer. He must be on some very big team’s radar.

19 Oct 2025 09:51:17
Don’t go with that JB he will stay he loves the place.

19 Oct 2025 10:37:53
Wishful thinking I suspect unfortunately GB. If someone off the top table comes knocking with 60mill, he’d be off to play Champions League football.

19 Oct 2025 11:07:48
We need grealish to get into ndayies ear to tell him how rubbish it is to play for manc the Spaniard will have seen how good he is and how good we're gona be and try to unsettle the big blue everton machine utft.

19 Oct 2025 11:32:43
Champions league not the b all and end all of footy ask Man U players that mate, we are a big Club with big ambitions and big players, Grealish, JB, Pickers, Ndiaye, to name a few, what’s not to like about Everton.

19 Oct 2025 11:35:33
Ndiaye is brilliant on the left is my point just very good on the right.

19 Oct 2025 12:56:04
Hope I’m wrong GB, top player, but it’s not going unnoticed.

19 Oct 2025 13:34:34
I know mate and he’s our stand out player with Jack, but would like to think that Everton have something about themselves that the players want to be part of, in short we are bloody special.

19 Oct 2025 15:30:50
We are a big club, but we haven’t behaved like a big club in decades.

I’d be amazed if Ndiaye is here next season, 99.9% of players don’t see Everton as Everton fans do. He’s a great player who is more than good enough to be playing for a top team.

19 Oct 2025 15:33:38
We are up there but not bloody special. Top 10 will be an achievement in my view. As for a striker in Jan, we are not going to get a top top striker unless we make a horses head offer. Middle of the Championship striker I reckon. Never know though Beto may like last season, start hitting the net.

19 Oct 2025 15:53:53
We havnt Swan but with the new owners the new Stadium and plenty Team investment we are starting to get everthing right, hopefully in Jan we can get a decent striker, and yes DMs we are a bloody special Club.

19 Oct 2025 17:01:05
Agree GB. I thought to myself yesterday whilst watching the game that he could easily be wearing a city shirt and wouldn't look out of place. He's a top, top player who we need to keep hold of and build around.

19 Oct 2025 17:43:30
Exactly we have Pickers, JB, Grealish and others not just Ndiaye, our Club is big enough for any player mate.

19 Oct 2025 22:50:39
We have a lot of good players, just not a good center-forward. The other problem is that we constantly play good players out of position where they end up as mediocre players. Alcaraz is a good example, played centrally he has had some good performances, played on the wing wasted. Then Moyes persists with B and B, why not just try changing things and try something different. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting something to change.

20 Oct 2025 03:29:46
Can only hope our new owners have more ambition than some of our fans.

20 Oct 2025 06:04:58
Come on people, let's be a bit more optimistic! This season hasn't even reached Christmas yet so let's not even stress about who might leave in the future. Enjoy the now, when possible.

Ndiaye is a quality player and one of the few players in recent years that I actually look forward to watching every game. Class act and I'm hopeful that we can build a team around him that makes him stay until the end of his career.

20 Oct 2025 12:03:21
He tried France and that didn't work out for him, he's come to us and we've made him the pamyer he is, some players suit clubs some players dont, I don't see him leaving and I dint see Everton selling him,

20 Oct 2025 15:08:53
Expecting our very best players to be targeted by top clubs, and perhaps leave, does not indicate a lack of ambition. Gibbs-White for example would have jumped at the chance to leave Forest for Spurs and they’re in Europe. We all hope the lad stays. Hopefully, it’s no longer a need to accept offers to balance books that’ll see players leave.
