Ed 25. Have you heard if the omition of the two c/backs where dropped as a disciplinary mater.?
Just a rumour doing the rounds.
{Ed025's Note - Moyes is being tight lipped AB and refuses to discuss the matter, there are stories about misconduct and going to Cheltenham for the races but i dont know how true that is mate, i am sure it will come out in the wash eventually but for now it will just be a guessing game..

Well, if it's true and they were both fit, it should have been dealt with differently, with a huge fine. Leaving them out of the side has no value to the club.
17 Mar 2026 14:51:46
Can someone please explain to me how Manchester United can post debts of over £1 billion pound and still be allowed to spend copious amounts of money on transfers and still be presumed to be financially viable. I always thought that when you were in debt you stopped paying out.
What with this and Chelsea's recent shenanigans, not to mention Manchester City, the Premier League has shown not only bias but extreme corruption and not be fit for purpose. Club brand, TV rights and other financial incentives are obviously more important than fair play and level playing fields.

The club is structured to manage debt, not necessarily eliminate it. While the gross debt is over £1 billion, this is managed through long-term borrowing secured by the club's high valuation, allowing them to continue investing in players.
18 Mar 2026 12:18:47
Thanks Dino, although I understand what you're saying, it still makes no sense to me. How can it be good to be so much in debt and still spend like they are? Hopefully it will come back to bite one day.
18 Mar 2026 18:58:09
Man Utd are valued at 4,5 billion. This is the reason they can borrow so much money. If a team is valued at, say, 700 million, they could borrow, say, 100 million against the club, because the club is only worth 700.
But because Man Utd is valued at 4.5 Billion, they can borrow much, much more, just like in any business. Tesco will be able to secure far bigger loans than someone who owns a couple of corner shops.
16 Mar 2026 22:23:25
Everton's offences, where minor, in comparisons to Chelsea's gross corruption, yet, slap on the wrist.
We were put in a position by the Premier League that might well have destroyed our club, had we been relegated, then gone into administration, lost all our top players, and might well not have been able to complete the new stadium.
When you look at what has happened to S/Wednesday, that might well have been us Givern the gross disparity in punishment, do we have any come back? Or do we have to wait till the next corrupt outcome of City's charges, to see the full extent of this wholly corrupt organization?

Prem saying it was not the fault of the new owners. Yet Sheffield Wednesday have been told they face another points deduction when they get relegated even though they will have new owners.
Yes, I know it's a different league, but surely what we are asking for is consistency across all leagues.
17 Mar 2026 09:13:10
Chelsea don't even have to pay the fine, it comes out of the 150m fund withheld from when Abramovich was sanctioned.
16 Mar 2026 19:59:11
Slap on the wrist for Chelsea, and what the heck is a suspended transfer ban?

16 Mar 2026 20:33:22
I saw this earlier dms!
Honestly the hypocrisy is unbelievable!
16 Mar 2026 22:43:46
It means there's no ban at all.
16 Mar 2026 23:00:11
Did anyone expect anything else?
They cheated the system, and built a squad that brought in several times more than what they broke the rules by.
I know, give them a £10m fine and a ban, which isn't really a ban, as they can work around it.
Pointless.
Lenient because they cooperated. During the period in which they cheated, there was no cooperation - in fact, they hid it. It's nonsense.
Like with City, the Prem are hoping people forget over time.
16 Mar 2026 23:34:46
If it happened to us under TFG, I doubt we'd have got a points deduction.
17 Mar 2026 08:00:29
They are saying they wouldn't have broken FFP if it was declared - total nonsense. There are rules that were broken, and they're terrified of deducting them points, missing CL, and the lawyers suing them for lost revenue.
PL needs a reset. It's not a level playing field. Teams are stuck fighting for the scraps, whilst the top 5 seem able to spend and spend.
17 Mar 2026 08:37:39
The fact is, Chelsea had an awful lot of success with the players they brought in with these dodgy deals. Paying a 10m fine is peanuts for what they achieved.
17 Mar 2026 09:20:11
There's no points deduction because UEFA need teams like Chelsea, not Brentford, etc., to sell to the TV people who want Chelsea v Barcelona, not Everton v AZ Alkmaar.
16 Mar 2026 14:57:15
Merlin 2/10
Barry 1/10
Azunu - no idea
Grealish 5/10
Dibling 2/10
George - no idea but looks exciting. Hope he plays more
Dewsbury-Hall 9/10
That's how I rate Moyes signings so far.

{Ed025's Note - i must say my eyebrows were raised as well BP..
16 Mar 2026 17:48:46
Strange score for Jack, mate.
16 Mar 2026 19:34:27
Not sure how you can rate people who have hardly played a game?
17 Mar 2026 07:41:08
He played over 20 games and had a huge impact on and off the pitch.
15 Mar 2026 18:29:18
The manager refused to enlighten anybody as to why our two first choice C/backs were missing, so does anyone have any insight?

Injured in training, I read.
15 Mar 2026 19:50:12
Branthwaite was left behind. How did he get injured? Something not right here, otherwise Moyes would have said they were injured and ended it there.
15 Mar 2026 20:19:42
Agree BMD they didn't even travel any news Ed's
{Ed001's Note - the only thing I heard was rumours they were out and overindulged at Cheltenham.}
16 Mar 2026 13:19:24
Naughty boys ? thanks Ed's
{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}
16 Mar 2026 13:49:16
The Manager refused to answer. ????
15 Mar 2026 15:51:27
I don't want to give it the "plucky losers" nonsense, but as a team it says something when I'm actually disappointed not to get something out of that.
I thought we played really.

15 Mar 2026 16:44:35
We were really unlucky not to be a goal or two up at half time. We're definitely the better team first half. Sadly, we retreated further and further into our own half after half time and got what was coming. Still, we have to admire the effort. We have improved so much. I really hope we have our plans in place for the summer window.
15 Mar 2026 19:05:58
Happens everywhere, mate. Went to non-league yesterday. Team was 1-0 and much the better side first half. Lost 2-1.
15 Mar 2026 13:55:05
Danny Cadamarteri was 17 when he scored 2 for us against Liverpool and he turned out to be a tube. Just because a player is nearly 6 foot and scores a goal doesn’t mean he is the next Messi and a superstar. Arsenal are rubbish, got lucky against us yesterday and we are a poor side. If it wasn’t for corner kicks they wouldn’t be winning anything this season. They create next to nothing from open play, are very very boring to watch and are winning the league by scoring goals from corners and free kicks.
They will be the worst Premier League champions in history and no harm to them but they would bore the arse clean off you. Fair play to that kids who scored yesterday, but he has a long way to go before anyone can call him a supersta 6 foot or not. Remember I said this. He will be at Forrest or Coventry in a few years; it always happens. I know I shout like sour grapes but it's true Arsenal are winning the league by corners not very exciting is it.

15 Mar 2026 14:34:52
Doesn't just sound like sour grapes, mate, and I would take Arsenal's team any day of the week.
15 Mar 2026 14:38:25
The fact is that Arteta had no need to play the 16-year-old yesterday, but he did, and it paid off. Nobody knows if he will make it in the future, but the extra two points it gave them yesterday was all that matters to them at present. It's called having Plan B to go with Plan A.
15 Mar 2026 14:49:18
Not sure we have a plan A sometimes..
15 Mar 2026 16:11:48
Cadamarteri was actually 18, and the game was entirely different back then. Comparing the two is pointless. That being said, 2 years is a huge gap in football.
What are you even on about? At least respond to what I actually said, instead of inserting ridiculous and untruthful hyperbole in there. No mention of Messi or being a superstar. I said his 6ft frame already sets him apart from Smith-Rowe, as it will allow him to deal with the physicality of the PL a lot better.
Not to mention the fact that he has already scored an assisted in the PL in under a half of football. He is also doing this for an Arsenal team that is competing on all fronts, and is arguably the best team in the world currently, Smith-Rowe was doing it for a side battling for 8th.
What does it matter if they are rubbish if they win games/leagues.
I am positive that I will not remember you said it, but hopefully I do when the lad is a PL mainstay and competes for his country.
15 Mar 2026 18:48:41
With you till the best team in the world bit.
15 Mar 2026 18:59:27
Some crazy comments there, hmmmm.
15 Mar 2026 20:53:10
I don't personally think they are, Bmd. I think they are boring and uninspiring, but statistically speaking they are. They are top of the toughest league in the world, comfortably, and still in every competition. I believe they are unbeaten in Europe too, winning every league game they have had. Therefore, who is better.
16 Mar 2026 08:42:27
I'd take Everton winning the league in the same way Arsenal appear to be doing it.
16 Mar 2026 09:07:42
Exactly, Bunkbeds.
16 Mar 2026 10:00:11
As I said in my earlier post in response to Dino, "What does it matter if they are rubbish if they win games/leagues."
16 Mar 2026 22:10:57
They are called rubbish and boring but have the biggest goal difference. At times we are rubbish and boring with a negative one.
15 Mar 2026 12:11:49
Anyone aware of the situation surrounding Barrys friends last night?
Looks like they were filled in for celebrating the victory. Tbh, if that is accurate, I have no problem with that. Zero respect or awareness.

15 Mar 2026 14:30:02

15 Mar 2026 19:51:53
Ditto, Mike. ?
15 Mar 2026 10:25:07
Gooner in peace.
I thought you played very well against us yesterday and we were lucky to come away with the points.
I think Moyes is a great manager and has set you up brilliantly in defence. It is so hard to get through on goal against you.
Sometimes you need a little bit of luck to come away with the spoils (and of course an exceptional 16 year old!) And we were that team yesterday.
Good luck foe the rest of the season and hope to see you in Europe next year. ?

Exceptional 16 year old? ? Tbf, the kid had an open goal cause Pickford went up the other end for the corner. My Nan could have scored that.
{Ed025's Note - is your nan available next week Peter?.. :)
