Difference is he made it public. Bit obvious for Martinez to make him 'injured' after him going so public with it.
Plus Baines has been at the club a long time and dare I say a more senior figure than they other two players you mention. Maybe more players will back Baines and it may or hopefully will be the beginning of the end for Martinez.

Yes I believe you as I believe that Martinez is a vindictive arrogant dictator and not the nice guy most think he is.
What has happened to Osman, Piennar, what happened to Distan.
He will come on the radio and tell you a player is one of the best then drop him, it has happened with all these players including Baines, oh yes Eto as well.

In the next couple of seasons we will see how good a centre back Ben Godfrey is. We signed him as one then stuck him at left/ right back most of the time as we had nobody else to do it. He had good bad and indifferent games there but always gave 100% for the club without complaint. Good Luck in the future Ben go and prove the doubters wrong.

He was good when he first came, looked like we had a decent cb on our hands. Unfortunately, he was never the same player after covid. Whether that was because it affected him a lot more than we could imagine or he just couldn't dislodge those players ahead in the pecking order is open to debate.
Always gave 100% when called into the squad, playing out of position on many occasions without moaning. I wish him all the best if he does go.

I'm concerned thatcat one stage we had players aged 34, 35 and 39 on the pitch. Either SD is scared of giving the kids a chance or we've let our better ones go and kept the second rate ones for the bench. I couldn't tell you anything about Mackenzie Hunt but he's been on the bench alot, never given a chance but is 22 years old so at least should be ready for the first team. The same applies to Dobbin a a couple of others.

I will be surprised if we score more than 10 more this season. McNeil top scorer with 4 and got 2 of them in one game, apart fom Ndiaye nobody else seems to have a clue once we occasionally get into their box.

Spot on Blueray, 90%of players of all team only see the clubs as their employers just like staff in almost all walks of life. They are not fans like us, in a few years they will always move on to the next company whilst wexare all still here hoping the next lot will be better although they usually aren't. I still enjoy the good results but after 60 years have learned to live with the bad and enjoy the real things that matter.4-0 defeats come and go.
