I really hope Moyes starts Dibling on Sat, he was excellent and deserves a run of games. Also Charly, surely he deserves more game time, what a finish, could he play 9?
17 Sep 2026 09:41:09
Yeah i'd like to see Dibbling start for sure. Deserves it.
Ive no problem with Alcaraz getting more game time, even as a number 9.
16 Sep 2026 22:10:38
Would play Charlie or George a dc striker on Sat Barry is beyond useless.
16 Sep 2026 21:49:00
That was piss poor, Barry, Johnson? Waste of numbers, siblings was the only plus but we won't see him again until nxt season when he scores against us for Bournmouth, then graham will skin us with Sunderland, happy to get thru but damn, we are basic at best, and with mouse, we are west ham at best.
16 Sep 2026 22:00:07
Dibling won't see a minute in our next game and will have his confidence shattered again.
The creation of sport was for entertainment, what we play is not that. Glad to be through but i think if we go all out offensive tonight we win that comfortably and have a better feeling overall.
16 Sep 2026 21:59:45
That mouse has a lot to answer for.
16 Sep 2026 22:37:35
Well we did just squeak through.
16 Sep 2026 21:46:43
Dibbling and O'Brien best players by a mile tonight. Let's see if Moyes rewards that.
16 Sep 2026 21:50:40
Both will be unused substitutes come Saturday don't worry.
16 Sep 2026 22:09:01
Good to have subs like them on the bench.
16 Sep 2026 21:46:28
Dibling with some consistent playing time will be a great player for us. He got better and better once the rust wore off and ended up with a great assist. I would love to see him rewarded with another start this weekend, Jack still looks off it.
16 Sep 2026 21:48:47
Not to mention he saved a goal.
16 Sep 2026 21:49:55
Virginia had a good game tonight, but we just need to be more clinical in front of goal.
Really pleased for Dibling and also Alcaraz who has been a but of a forgotten man and deserves more minutes. Especially in front of Barry.
{Ed025's Note - i deserve more minutes than Barry Benny..
16 Sep 2026 22:08:53
Some good performances, pleased for the win, but our weaknesses are all there to be seen.
16 Sep 2026 22:25:25
Very finny Ed!🤣.
17 Sep 2026 10:24:34
Dibling is not a winger but he played well last night and better wnen he moved inside. Having watched him properly last night can see the lad is talented. I was wrong about not being good enough.
16 Sep 2026 21:43:32
Well we are in the draw for the next round, at least Dibling showed there is a player in there.
16 Sep 2026 21:43:11
I criticised Mykolenko v Spurs but thought he had a great game tonight. Dibling also had his best game for us by a country mile.
16 Sep 2026 21:47:19
He looked a player today. Do his confidence the world of good a strong performance like that.
Still room to improve but good progress.
{Ed025's Note - looked very good tonight MK, fair play to the lad..
16 Sep 2026 22:01:56
He looked like Baines has been working hard with him on overlaps, if he could work on his crossing next then we may have a player.
16 Sep 2026 20:20:44
Barry is letting their defenders bully him off the ball again!
16 Sep 2026 20:37:55
It's so frustrating watching him, he just cannot hold the ball up, but we keeping pumping balls into him. Look much better when we get our midfield on the ball.
{Ed025's Note - lets be honest...the guy is useless..
16 Sep 2026 20:57:30
Better strikers playing Sunday league football take him off the commentator says he might need a rest a rest from down what I ask a rest from down f all.
16 Sep 2026 21:56:48
The big question is if everyone can see that Barry is such a bad footballer why does Moyes continue to play him. I know he is the only center-forward but Alcaraz (who has just scored) or George or Graham must be better options?
{Ed025's Note - i would stand a traffic cone in an Everton shirt in the centre circle ahead of Barry..
17 Sep 2026 01:48:04
All they above criticism of Barry, has more than a bit of merit, but givern his lack of basic technic, who did the scoring report that got the club to put up 30 mill, I know that inflation in the transfer market means that 30mill is not any longer a colossal sum, but for that kind of money you would believe you where getting a player with the basic talent level to at least be coach able.
16 Sep 2026 23:39:03
Love that ED 25, tickled me that, you are so correct, it reminds me when we had Rondon, you might as well just plant a tree on the edge of the box or put a subbuteo piece on.
{Ed025's Note - he is awful Col..
16 Sep 2026 18:51:21
Like the team tonight, but Armstrong not in squad, hope he's just being rested and it's not an injury.
16 Sep 2026 18:59:11
Armstrong good we player he works hard he will be a good holding midfielder he can do the work break up play need someone beside him that can go forward and get the odd goal here and there. Armstrong is much better at the defensive side of midfield than he is attacking.
16 Sep 2026 19:13:44
Armstrong is a very good passer of a ball. Only 19, makes sense to rest the lad.
16 Sep 2026 23:29:24
I guess we all see the game differently.
I think Armstrong is much better at link up play than the defensive side. Not seen him shoot too often but he can pick out a pass. He should have played today and Jimmy rested. He just seems off it to me and slows the play down too much.
I thought O'Brien did okay. I didn't see anything to make me think he should be starting. I didn't miss Tarky's overhit passes though, so that is something. The biggest thing for me was how much I thought we missed Branthwaite's influence. It was all too slow with too much backwards and sideways passing.
I get the frustration with Barry. I think there is a footballer in there but I'm not sure we play the right way for him to shine, but then I don't think we play the right way for any centre forward. 90% of our passes to him are either clearances or massively overhit long balls. I don't think it helps that the other 10% require him to hold on to the ball for an hour before support arrives. I think Haaland would struggle just as much as his hold up play is shocking.
I didn't see any difference in Mykolenko today. What I have seen in the last few games is him receiving the ball when he made his runs. Maybe that is the difference.
16 Sep 2026 18:40:38
MON is keeping Graham in the N. Ireland squad although he does give youth a chance, hopefully if he gets a run he stays fit if I recall internationals is where Seamy got his two bad injuries.
