Saw a post about an interview with Grealish, he speaks very passionately about the team and club. Really hope he continues good form and signs personally.

Depends how he does for the season and if that £50m can be lowered.
But I think he’ll end up back at Villa regardless. Just appreciate him while he’s here, wasn’t overly keen on the idea but he’s absolutely class, love his work rate too.
28 Sep 2025 23:37:23
Well if we can’t afford the £50m then Villa definitely can’t. I understand the idea of him ending back at villa but I don’t see any other reason than sentiment. Apart from that I see no sound basis for him to choose them and for villa to satisfy City’s value. Both of which will have to happen.
Whereas I can see us being able to afford him and there’s certainly an affinity developing with him and our club.
29 Sep 2025 08:41:20
I reckon he will sign for us permanently mate.
29 Sep 2025 10:32:09
Same swan I doubted him aswell when he joined on loan with his wages aswell fought that be main opstical but so far the lad has absolutely proved me wrong and fair play to grealish I reckon he will cause havic tonight if he keeps up his performances then absolutely no doubt pay the 50 mil but still early days but so far he's been very good.
28 Sep 2025 15:42:01
See United are now ready to. Push the boat out forJB, they might even go as far as 65m, 165m might get them a sit down conversation, but then why would he want to join a club in a relegation scrap.

Can’t believe he would ever go there, no Champions league either, worst Club in the Premiership.
28 Sep 2025 18:20:02
Lazy journalism. Everyone knows 80 million is starting price. Maybe more now he has new contract.
28 Sep 2025 18:33:34
He’d be mad to go there.
28 Sep 2025 18:57:57
United fans won’t be happy about that, they spent the last year insisting Yoro and De Ligt are miles better than Branthwaite.
28 Sep 2025 20:20:05
Maybe so but how many games is the lad going to miss. Miserable sod that I am I hope to NAAFI breaks he doesn't become another DCL sicknote. A genuine talented defender.
28 Sep 2025 23:41:31
He’s a far better defender than DCL is a striker and whilst he gets injuries I think he also goes on long runs in the team once he’s recovered. He will be back to his best soon and then the speculation will seriously hit up in time for the Jan window.
29 Sep 2025 08:42:13
Defo Toffeeace spot on mate.
29 Sep 2025 11:57:31
Can’t imagine any team would go as high as £80m for Branthwaite.
He’s a great player but unfortunately he’s struggling with injuries and he’s missed a fair few games for us now.
Hopefully it’s irrelevant as we should be building a team around him and not be looking to sell - unless of course the injury issues are more significant than us fans are aware of.
29 Sep 2025 12:02:08
If any player in their right mind would leave a premiership team to go to manu then it's for reasons other than football that manu team is hilarious to watch and the manager is class the club that keeps giving making the whole nation laugh every week hope they don't sack him.
29 Sep 2025 16:28:36
DMS: NAAFI! ? That’s tickled my veteran funny bone!
Honestly (and I’ll stick my kevlar helmet on here) , I’m starting to wonder if JB might just be one of those players and whether we should maybe start to think of cashing in before word gets out properly that he’s going to be crocked quite often.
Please be gentle guys, its just a feeling I have in my stomach.

How poor are the referees in the premier league? Every season the standards seem to drop even more. Fans saying VAR is not fit for purpose etc. but the problem with VAR is that it is the same low standard referees that are monitoring it 1 week then refereeing a game the following week. They’re continually making very poor decisions that are affecting games every week. Something needs to be done to improve the standards of the referees.

28 Sep 2025 16:14:09
Should get ex players doing VAR.
28 Sep 2025 18:21:13
If its like punditry, then var will consist of ex man utd, arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea players.
28 Sep 2025 20:21:27
They need to tell VAR to shut the **** up most of the time.
28 Sep 2025 23:45:29
VAR should only intervene when requested to by the team captain who questions the on field decision. 2 reviews each half for each team. Outside of that let the ref get on with it.
29 Sep 2025 09:44:46
I am not a supporter of VAR, but yesterday’s game Newcastle v Arsenal showed how it can work for the good reasons. An Arsenal player judged to have been fouled by Newcastles goalkeeper. Penalty. In some cases with some referees the goalie may have been sent off. VAR judged correctly that the Newcastle goalie got a touch to the ball, and so no foul committed.
29 Sep 2025 10:18:40
I thought the Arsenal player kicked the ball onto the keepers foot, and had the keeper not brought him down he could have gone on to score?
28 Sep 2025 13:55:29
Anyone know if we have a recall deal with Preston for Armstrong? He may aswell sit on are bench than Prestons and he is better than Tim.

28 Sep 2025 14:52:52
Grandson moved from Everton to Liverpool (whaaaaaaaaaat) then sort of commonsense prevailed (sort of) so now PNE. Armstrong can't get into starting 11 but I don't think we have recall.
28 Sep 2025 19:01:08
Sorry but how is sitting on the bench better than playing Championship football most weeks and cups?
29 Sep 2025 09:58:21
He is sitting on the bench at Preston so far.
29 Sep 2025 10:19:57
Last two games he’s been brought on for the last 25/ 30 mins.
28 Sep 2025 12:16:58

I think the 15 points they had already papered some cracks tbh, they’ve not hit 5th gear yet, Salah’s been poor in particular.
28 Sep 2025 19:05:45
Yeah think you're right. Think only Arsenal, maybe, will keep up with them this season.

Clubs YouTube channel put out a clip of goals against West Ham and there were a couple of players scoring hatricks against the hammers. I’d take 1-0 on Monday but would love for history to repeat itself and someone grad a hatrick. Problem is, I don’t see Beto managing it or Barry….

27 Sep 2025 12:50:00
They couldn't wait to get rid of moysey even after winning a trophy they're probably after nuno Santos does my head in all the sacking managers get a big payout and go somewhere else and repeat hope west ham go down this year and take Brighton with you.
27 Sep 2025 12:53:12
Does if we lose as Buggers says.
27 Sep 2025 14:34:45
Oh if we lose it's down to WH appointing new Manager now is it. If we lose it is down to us not doing enough and/ or on the day the other side doing better.
27 Sep 2025 15:02:40
Toffeeloyalist what's the hate on Brighton ha ha.
27 Sep 2025 16:37:14
There a feeder club for the supposedly big 6 happy to sell their players to premier league teams and all the commentators love them ie carrager and neville how many times have u heard that Brighton are a well run club if your so good don't sell urbest players to teams in the same league clowns.
27 Sep 2025 19:13:00
Hopefully too late to make a difference for Monday. Possibly lots of players trying to learn new strategies/ tactics, messing up and leaving the door open for a handful of goals for the blues!
27 Sep 2025 19:49:51
Hope so BR we need to get back to winning ways mate.
27 Sep 2025 20:20:35
Nuno appointed manager didn’t take him long 18 days out of a job.
27 Sep 2025 21:51:54
He’s the best hope they have I reckon. Did well at a struggling Forest after Spurs’ harsh treatment and had a decent reputation at Wolves. Just hope he doesn’t sort the team out until after we play them. We could certainly do with a win GB.
25 Sep 2025 19:39:59
Alot has been made of Tuesday, some hanging Moyes out to dry already. However it is a squad game and other players need minutes. Unfortunately we lost, which happens, unfortunately we didn't play well which happens. But that team was as strong as the team which finished strongly last season so should have done better than transpired.

25 Sep 2025 20:00:09
I thought the team was quite strong. The i watched the game. Players had chance to impress but failed to deliver. Tim should of gone out on loan instead of Armstrong. Mcneil looked lost as if he hadn't seen a football before. coleman should of been at RB and Aznou given a go at LB. Barry honestly looked like he hadn't a clue what was going on. Beto best out of a bad bunch for strikers. Would of loved a cup run in league cup as we never won it but for some reason we seem allergic to playing well and get knocked out in 1st or 2nd round. Hope FA cup is better for us and of course the league.
25 Sep 2025 20:13:18
For me we should have played the strongest side we could. It means others need to make sure when they get a chance they have to perform. We're not in Europe and our next game was 6 days away. Therefore, this stupid idea of trying half a new team was crazy by Moyes.
We had a chance of getting through and keeping us in a competition. The other thing is that our first 11 is still trying to get to know each other and another game helps that. Instead Moyes experimented with players that hadn't played with each before or not played regularly together at least, and it was against premier league opponents.
Moyes is not immune from criticism and when he balls up like he did on Tuesday, you're perfectly fine to call him on it.
I expect better from all involved come Monday and I believe we will get it.
25 Sep 2025 20:55:21
Top post John.
25 Sep 2025 23:29:49
Look at the sides Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle etc put out, were they weak teams? No. And they all won. It’s madness fielding the team we did, epscially when we aren’t playing for six day after. Should have put out a full strength team, the squad players will get minutes over the course of the season.
26 Sep 2025 07:44:49
I understand that, however those squad players need minutes for fitness as much as anything. Same moaners would've moaned if later down the line these players under perform when needed stating 'should've played more before'
I know they had 6 days till next game, I know we MIGHT have won. We might have lost then you'd all be moaning he should've rested players.
I'd liked to have seen Aznou lb
Tim has played well in games. Armstrong was right to go on loan, needs a season playing regularly. Essentially now we have Rohl as well.
It does show however that a deeper squad is needed. And that will come over the coming seasons hopefully.
26 Sep 2025 07:50:20
Just shows the gulf between our first and second Tesms, that second Team didn’t even turn up against Wolves.
26 Sep 2025 09:25:32
This is what moves said when he came here, the squad needs improving, can't happen in 1 go but our squad is better, just wish we would of got a striker who is capable of scoring now not in 12 months, Barry was alway going to struggle and think we are going to do another moyes keen, he needs time and we should of none that just watching him at the under 21s he was t great.
We need to just remember not to get carried away, if we can get top 10 that's an improvement this season, then next season push on to get higher, think everyone say European football is getting abit carried away, wolves has just proved that.
26 Sep 2025 09:53:34
Look the fact is Both Moyes and his captain made a big thing of how important the cups were going to be for the club. So is it any wonder supporters are unhappy with that team selection.
Our strongest side would have buried Wolves. Instead we allowed them to dictate the game and build confidence, then expect late changes to salvage the game.
No start with your strongest eleven, dictate the game and then make changes to close the game out. Moyes got it wrong it's that simple.
26 Sep 2025 11:32:19
Playing a weaker squad against lesser opponents in the league is more understanding that in a cup. You've 38 games in the league and can absorb a slip up but in the cup you've got one game.
However, we don't need to put players in to get fitness or minutes or whatever. Just play the best players we have and then add the odd 1 or 2 at times throughout the season. To make so many changes was foolish and he'll know it.
26 Sep 2025 13:08:58
Never going to win the Cup but League places = £££££.
26 Sep 2025 13:54:13
How is one cup game going to build and then maintain fitness when the players who played just revert back to the bench?
To add, they are professional footballers getting paid 10's of thousands a week. There is absolutely no excuse why the should not be fit. Lacking match sharpness, absolutely but fitness is complete b****cks.
The defeat was on Moyes and the players that came in. Playing Coleman LB was just madness. A midfield base of Garner and Tim is naive. Jimmy has been great but he needs a Gana next to him and Tim imo has been absolutely shocking this season. He has zero positional or defensive nous. If he plays, it should only be in the KDH role, infront of the base.
McNeil is and always has been dreadful but he got excused because he ran about a lot aimlessly.
As John and Brass said correctly, you start with a stronger side, get a footing in the game and score a goal and then introduce players that have not played games this season. Not only does it give you a better chance of winning the game but when those players come in, the pressure is relieved somewhat, as they would already be in front or at the very minimum, controlling the game.
26 Sep 2025 13:58:12
All sorts of assumptions. Any team can have a poor night collectively. Not many prior would have called it a weak side. Just because we beat em at home recently and only just doesn't mean we go away and beat em again. I agree we should have stayed unchanged and if the game went well, then make sweeping changes but they had 6 days b4 next game. Look how seriously the tip sides have taken this cup for the last 5pr 6 years. We wouldn't have won the darn thing anyway. We are one window of a 4 window rebuild.
26 Sep 2025 14:58:29
We beat them at there ground not ours.
26 Sep 2025 19:40:49
Beat them at home, not beat them at our home. Their ground.
