Philogene back to villa apparently, not that I'm bothered.

How long does it take to get our man ndiaye signed or whatever his name is, thought it was all but done and dusted!

Tomtom272

{Ed025's Note - it cant happen until tomorrow Tomtom so as not to fall foul of PSR, i hear the deal is done mate subject to the new owners sanctioning the loan of funds..

1.) 30 Jun 2024 18:18:49
Ah OK explains everything thank you.

{Ed025's Note - your welcome mate..

2.) 01 Jul 2024 14:00:53
Ed you mention about the sanctioning of funds from loans, is this going to restrict us making further signings in the window?

{Ed025's Note - im not certain about that BT but Thelwell will have a good idea of what he can spend mate, i think...or hope that the new regime will be more frugal with the funds and keep within PSR but of course that will tally up with who goes out the door..

3.) 01 Jul 2024 18:49:45
we still need to sell before we buy we should get a pretty reasonable bid made for Onana the way he is playing at the moment I can see a fair few clubs putting in offers.

4.) 01 Jul 2024 19:05:34
I see spurs are looking at moving Richarlson I hope thelwell will enter discussions to bring him home. As seen they are considering offering cash plus Richarlson for Isaac and being linked with Johnathan David of Lille. There could be a deal to be made as spurs are looking for a new striker thoughts blues.

5.) 01 Jul 2024 20:24:36
As much as love Richy Sean can't see him coming back. Wages, fee and more better placed proposals than we can currently offer.

6.) 01 Jul 2024 20:25:14
Think wages would be a big problem.

7.) 02 Jul 2024 11:06:05
On Richys side wages I honestly think he would be willing to negotiate to re join Everton. Obviously Mr Levy and Spurs would be the biggest hurdle as Daniel Levy is known to be a tough negotiator. Realistically the only way at moment financially viable for us to re sign Richy would be either an initial down payment/ Loan fee then we would have further instalments to payed to spurs. If Kev thelwell could pull a deal off similar to that of Dele Ali would be a master class IMO difference with Richy is we wouldn’t be taking a big risk. Where the deal regarding Dele Ali was a huge gamble due to his lack of form and injuries. But I believe one of the major reasons Everton have offered deli the use of facilities at finch farm to continue his rehabilitation while Everton monitor his progress with the potential of offering him a new contract if he can prove his fitness, desire to play for the club. Unfortunately the payments would still be active regarding spurs if he makes 7 more appearances then we would have to make our first instalment of the deal.

8.) 02 Jul 2024 12:29:34
Think we burnt some bridges with Spurs after the Dele deal. I wouldn’t be expecting them to enter into any favourable negotiations with us: they don’t need to and they won’t want to….

9.) 02 Jul 2024 18:22:42
Levy would want every penny back that he paid us. Not going to happen.

21 Jun 2024 10:06:45
Hearing ndiaye interested in joining. Maybe true. We'll see.

Tomtom272

1.) 21 Jun 2024 12:35:36
Just the sort of player we need.

2.) 21 Jun 2024 17:45:30
Have you watched much of him Gb?

I am a bit hesitant as he only had one good season in the championship and bagged 3 in the french league.

I guess all dependent on price but I’m sure Marseille paid Sheff a fair whack for him.

3.) 21 Jun 2024 20:22:40
Thought he played ok mate and seems to have some pace.

4.) 22 Jun 2024 12:08:35
He is out of contract so on a free as far as I am aware.

5.) 22 Jun 2024 23:11:14
Are you thinking of Ndidi Fat Chris?
Ndiaye is only 1 year into his contract at Marseille.

01 Feb 2024 14:59:42
Holgate going to Sheffield. atleast some money coming in. But Sad state of affairs if reports are true that we can't even afford a loan fee for anyone . Hard to believe this great club has fallen so far. Coyb.

Tomtom272

1.) 01 Feb 2024 18:17:06
Imagine the uproar if he does well for them and they stay up at our expense ?.

2.) 01 Feb 2024 19:35:15
Have you been drinking GD.

3.) 01 Feb 2024 21:03:54
At least their goals against will sky rocket #agentholgate.

4.) 02 Feb 2024 17:22:22
I think Sheff Utd have gone. We need to find a way of dragging Luton back and Notts under pressure. We have no choice now but Dyche to me is becoming the same as at Burnley.

31 Aug 2023 15:27:56
Cornett being rumoured to be one of our targets. Forgot all about him, he disappeared wanted him last year, but now not so sure. Thoughts?

Tomtom272

1.) 31 Aug 2023 15:37:17
Never rated him at Burnley and didn't want him last year. Moyes got him and clearly hasn't rated him at West Ham. Steer clear for me and go for another option.

2.) 31 Aug 2023 15:48:46
Rumoured to be a loan so wouldn’t be bad business

What is confusing is we already have two loans in Harrison and Danjuma, unless one is an obligation to buy.

3.) 31 Aug 2023 16:45:13
He was out a long time with a rare calf injury. Do we really want to take that chance? Loan or not!

4.) 31 Aug 2023 16:49:15
Danjuma is a foreign loan so we can have 1 more domestic loan.

5.) 31 Aug 2023 16:50:20
Is it just the one?

6.) 31 Aug 2023 17:06:38
He did his rehab back in france so fell out with Moyes. Like him but would rather get a more natural righty or a creative CM and swap Keane for a bag of spuds.

7.) 31 Aug 2023 17:08:45
Would rather go for the Leeds lad (not Gnoto) Sinisterra.

8.) 31 Aug 2023 18:29:02
I thought Cornet was Burnley’s best player.
Unfair to judge his form at West Ham as he’s mostly been injured. They bought him for a reason though.
My concern would be that we have enough injury concerns and need players that can come straight in and have an impact.

9.) 31 Aug 2023 18:52:34
Mostly been injured so of course we should go for him, let's add him to the list.

10.) 31 Aug 2023 19:12:43
Only 2 domestic loans can be registered at any time. 4 total in a season.

11.) 31 Aug 2023 19:36:58
Smit,

We can't have more than 2 loans at any given time inclusive of domestic or international.

12.) 31 Aug 2023 19:58:22
I thought it was only two straight loans but that ones with obligations didn’t count towards that quota.

13.) 31 Aug 2023 21:02:01
Nooooooooo, not the loans debate again. You can have two. Only two. An obligation to buy is basically a transfer waiting to happen. If Harrison and Danjuma are, as reported, loans then we cannot loan anyone else.

14.) 01 Sep 2023 09:57:56
Finally ?.

15.) 01 Sep 2023 10:09:14
Need to seel Canon and Iwobi sales and anyone else like Gray and loan out the forgotten ones we talk about every window. See what our balance is after all that then go buy 2 or 3 on convoluted deals with no money up front for a financial year. I expect a surprise who's not been mentioned as yet.

16.) 01 Sep 2023 12:12:56
Under the rules in the Premier League Handbook 2022/ 23 (Download PDF, size: 16MB) , there are restrictions on how many players Premier League clubs can loan from other Premier League/ English clubs.

They are:
- Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.
- The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
- Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.
- A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.

With the exception of Welsh clubs competing in the competitions listed under Rule V.6.2, loans from a club in membership of another National Association do not count towards the above quotas.

Iv seen that big Dunc is writing his biography and it's due out may 2025, that'll be a great read I think!

Tomtom272

1.) 25 Jul 2024 14:57:03
Bet he’s not writing it?.

2.) 25 Jul 2024 15:57:26

Bad luck Pickford, Englands man of the match. Hopefully these bitter haters get off his back!

Tomtom272

1.) 15 Jul 2024 08:39:15
Pickford will get credit for his excellent display. It’ll be Kanes turn. And maybe Kyle Walkers too. Sadly though Pickford is just not a popular choice. He’s a bit mad, a bit short and a bit anti-elite to be a popular choice.

Basically he gets criticised for his temperament his size and his clubs position in the league. And all this instead of talking up his outstanding saves, his world class distribution and his dominance in his area.

Pickford is class, everyone knows it but the football elitist snobs can’t accept it.

2.) 15 Jul 2024 09:15:49
Yeh no matter what he does there's always those waiting for him to fail!

3.) 17 Jul 2024 03:35:51
Jordan would walk into any team in world football. I hope he has a watertight contract.

09 Jul 2024 06:02:22
United 2nd bid, 45 million plus 5 million add ons. ? ? I'd tell them he's not for sale! . They're trying to stir up the pot. I'm surprised no other team had been heavily linked yet.

Tomtom272

1.) 09 Jul 2024 07:38:26
I do think that’ll be too far away from the final deal. Be good if another team came in with a rival bid, I could see him playing for City but they’re pretty well stocked at CB.

04 Jul 2024 07:37:30
Lots of random names popping up, linked to us. I like that we're doing business early. When the dust settles on our incomings, I can see most of our transfer window being about outgoings. But I feel quite optimistic about the season ahead, I'd be happy with mid / top half, anything else is a bonus. Small steps.

Tomtom272

{Ed025's Note - for me safety is the first thing on the agenda Tomtom and anything else is a bonus, its imperative that we get to BMD in tact and thats when the journey begins for me mate..

1.) 04 Jul 2024 07:50:32
Buy low, sell high! A sensible year of trading and we should be in a stronger position to buy next season. Looks like more focus on younger talent, which means sell on value if they do well. Refreshing change.

{Ed025's Note - i do like the idea JB but they need to be of a certain quality or at least have the potential mate, its no use just buying players who will languish at reserve level and make the numbers up, we have been guilty in the past of not giving young players a chance and putting 2 goalkeepers on the bench which really does my head in, lets hope we can develop these young talents and they dont just stagnate without ever getting the chance to shine..

2.) 04 Jul 2024 08:00:49
It was always going to be like this after the near disaster last season, really happy with the way all this turned out, it could have been so so different out of the Premiership, but now bringing in young players and moving out the has beens with BMD on the horizon, exciting times for Everton.

{Ed025's Note - it really is GB, im really looking forward to the new season and god willing we all get to BMD unscathed, COYB..

That's probably why man utd offered a petty sum for him, they promised him so much money instead of offering us a decent fee and just doubling his wages!

Gave up caring yesterday ?. If he stalled over us or Ipswich, then I'd question his ambitions. We aren't great but surely our stature compared to Ipswich should be enough. They're welcome to him.

It's just a run out. I never look into friendlies too much. Even if we beat Real Madrid 5-0 I wouldn't look at it at a sign we're going to be blazing a trail in the premiership.

I'm divided with Onana, I haven't seen anything that makes me think WOW. but feel there is a top player in there somewhere. But it seems lots of people in the business see something most of us don't see. Maybe that's why I'm not in the business. I wish him luck ?, I hope we have a sell on clause, because he may become an 80 million pound player one day!
