Rumours dcl told people close to him he wants to go to Arsenal. Clickbate or true I don't know, but he looks like his head has already left Everton!

1.) 27 Apr 2022 16:43:23
Good hope he goes, overrated and an idiot.

2.) 27 Apr 2022 19:04:45
Rumours have been going around about this for ages.
If true so be it, just hope we get a good deal for him, however with his current form and injuries not sure we’ll get what us as fans would feel would be a good deal.

3.) 27 Apr 2022 19:06:51
His head was turned 2 years ago when he read his own press the boy is a cheat and a rat ? he is not even that goos he has a touch of a rhino and a rhino is quicker than him so get stuffed dcl you overrated sad cheating rat.

4.) 27 Apr 2022 19:07:05
Loving him last season but I wouldn’t be gutted to see him leave now. Get a nice transfer fee for him and try and balance the books a bit. Hear Arsenal are interested in Richarlison too, could they feasibly afford both though? .

5.) 27 Apr 2022 19:09:35
We’ll need the cash to rebuild whether we go down or not. He’s shown in the past that there’s a good player in there, but he’s far from irreplaceable. If he doesn’t have the bottle for the fight, he’s welcome to move on. You’d expect a good price as others will join in the bidding for sure.

6.) 27 Apr 2022 19:18:56
He's hardly played this season and when he has it seamed half arsed, and given our position why add more salt into the wounds by letting this slip, if this is true shows he couldn't give a toss.

7.) 27 Apr 2022 20:49:35
We'd be lucky to get anything more than 15million for him. Fortunately he's young and English and that gets a premium.

8.) 27 Apr 2022 20:55:17
if dcl goes so be it, can't see us getting much for him. sad but in truth there is no fight in him like many others in the squad. reality is this is the worse everton team i've seen and i've been a supporter since 1968.

9.) 27 Apr 2022 21:32:18
Not as much as if we’d sold last summer, but we’ll still get good money.

10.) 27 Apr 2022 21:54:02
He has cost us more than he has won for us. Modern day footballer. Famous before ability.

11.) 27 Apr 2022 22:32:06
Hiss attitude has been bad all year, either injured or looking as if he did not care a toss when he played. Now when we need all the players to step up and help us avoid the drop he comes out with this. Get rid, the sooner the better and get someone in who cares about the club. I wish we had a Dave Hickson type player who would take a few pain pills and get out there and help us win games. London would be a good place for DCL, he could do his modeling stuff and get on the subs bench like Barkley, another player who thought he was better than he is.

12.) 28 Apr 2022 09:34:19
really find it hard to believe that so many 'fans' turn so quickly on their own players! the season is not over yet and already you're selling them off!

13.) 28 Apr 2022 12:45:43
I agree wakka57 add in we don't even know if it's true and with fans like ours why would any player want to play Infront of us.

14.) 28 Apr 2022 19:56:11
I think Arsenal will be in for better players.

15.) 29 Apr 2022 08:08:42
Agree with Wakka and Lamps here. It’s no wonder he would want out with this kind of toxicity. Wouldn’t blame him. Cut the man a break, he’s had a brutal injury hit season and come into a side that’s battling relegation under a new manager. Not exactly the easiest conditions for him to perform. While he’s an Everton player, we need to back him. I don’t understand why so many insist on bringing our players further down when they need uplifting. Of course, comments and criticism are valid and deserved, but there’s no need for them to devolve into personal attacks.

16.) 29 Apr 2022 16:22:15
Agree with what you say Tmh, also add to that the service he has received when he’s actually played has been non-existent.

I do question whether all the abuse he is now taking is more to do with the fact that he’s willing to challenge conventions with his fashion choices etc. rather than his form.

I for one couldn’t give a stuff what he wears and what fashion shoots he does. Good luck to him.

However I would like him to score goals for us, but through injuries, change of manager, change of formation, lack of service he hasn’t done it this season.

I don’t think he’s lost it just this season has conspired against him. Very similar to what has happened with Patrick Bamford at Leeds - however doubt he takes as much flak from their fans as he’s not on the front of magazines or wearing clothes some fans don’t approve of.

If he does go this window then it’ll be disappointing but not surprising - I’m sure he’ll be able to find a fan base that will support him and not abuse him just because his sense of style is different to theirs.

17.) 29 Apr 2022 19:22:03
Coached by Dunc, or so DCL says, My view DCL looks like Rondons Grandson. No way DCL can emulate DF and Everton don't play that way. Not going Sunday (given away to a masochist) , off to Pub with Son to get royally. Worked and played football all over the World as an aside, amateur and semi-pro, I can honestly say some of those would have kicked this lots arses.

18.) 30 Apr 2022 18:44:14
Start with Rondon, let him get himself about, then if fit, bring Calvert-Lewin on, in the second half if needed.

Use Calvert-Lewin sparingly, until we have the three games close together, to try and pick points up, in those games.

19.) 30 Apr 2022 21:13:54
Arsenal in for Jesus apparently so I doubt they'd be in for Dom as well, unfortunately.

20.) 02 May 2022 09:53:29
Sell dcl and bring back lucaku on loan.

21.) 02 May 2022 09:59:11
I heard it’s Newcastle interested in DCL
I’m a bit torn on it myself, last season he grabbed the goals, this season he’s had a nightmare with injuries
If say Newcastle came in with a good offer it could give Frank money for some young hungry talent
Also seen that West Ham are interested in Keane.

22.) 02 May 2022 11:08:57
I imagine will all depend on whether we stay in the league on who stays and who goes.

If we stay up then West Ham won’t be in for Keane.

DCL and Ricky prices will be decent and may put a few suitors off.

However imagine will have to sell atleast one of them to help with balancing books and our ffp issue.

If we go down then imagine it will be a fire sale and imagine all players will be available for a price.

As for suggestion of lukaku back on loan if we sell DCL - what a joke. He clearly wants to go back to Italy, he’s on massive wages, can’t get in Chelsea team ahead of Werner who can’t score, looks completely disinterested and I feel would be a disaster for us.

If we sell DCL then think club should genuinely give Dobbin or simms a go. They could be the answer and would cost us nothing, as realistically trying to buy a 20 goal a season striker will be crazy money and not help with ffp situation.

25 Jan 2022 13:27:59
Anyone concerned about the DLC rumours? Keep reading about Arsenal, but it could just be lazy journalists putting 2 and 2 together n making 5!

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea why you want to make a quip about "lazy journalists". I have explained the situation.}

1.) 25 Jan 2022 15:19:56
To be fair Tomtom272 it isn't lazy journalism for some. Some of them find it quite hard work adding 2 and 2.

2.) 25 Jan 2022 16:11:39
? Duck. And nothing wrong with a quip or opinion! ?.

3.) 25 Jan 2022 17:35:59
It's been known for ages that arsenal would be interested in DCL at the right price.

Nothing to do with 2&2 or lazy journalism.
Would not be surprised if he went in the summer.

However the way he's picked up injuries this season and been anonymous on his return to the team can't see us getting a massive fee for him.

4.) 25 Jan 2022 19:37:28
We don’t get a massive fee, then we don’t sell. It’s not like we need to sell him.

5.) 25 Jan 2022 20:25:29
Anyone who reads enough in the press can see that there is plenty of lazy journalism out there. I’m not sure what constitutes it but my own view is making up stories because there’s a logic behind it. Rather than actually knowing and reporting the facts.

DCL is an arsenal fan therefore arsenal are enquiring of him is lazy. DCL actually being scouted by arsenal is another thing. Either way I don’t care because I take what I read with a pinch of salt. I’d rather find out when the club releases the info. Nice and simple that way.

Maybe Derby fans who are desperate to hold onto Rooney are saying that his links with us are also the machinations of lazy journalism. Or it could be true.

Just saying.

6.) 26 Jan 2022 08:23:25
Just a bit of humour dan the ging.

24 Aug 2021 16:19:36
Not liking these ricci rumours to psg, whether true or not, especially so late in the window. I reckon he'd jump at the chance to go to them, fingers crossed 🤞 we can keep him until end of the season at least!

1.) 24 Aug 2021 17:16:20
Don’t want him to leave. The lad’s got a contract, make him stay and play for a move next summer. If he makes a fuss though - hold them to ransom then reinvest. No one player is bigger than the club.

2.) 24 Aug 2021 17:53:39
I don't want him to leave either. But it is fairly inevitable he will at some point, and financially the best time to sell him will be to a rich side like PSG right after they have lined their pockets with money selling mbappe.

20 Jul 2021 14:41:06
Apparently Richie and hamez looking to leave for Spain, on the rumour Mill anyhow.

1.) 20 Jul 2021 15:04:22
Madrid have their sights set on Mbappe and are trying to raise funds. Can’t see Richy heading there. I think we’ll get another season out of him. James, maybe, but I’m not sure who could afford his wages.

2.) 20 Jul 2021 15:16:13
sell them for the highest price possible and let rafa reinvest. get rid of players who don't want to be there.

3.) 20 Jul 2021 16:02:52
I thought Richie had a poor season last year. If he wants a big move to a big club he needs to perform this season.

4.) 20 Jul 2021 20:42:05
Same as that mate.

25 Jun 2021 07:19:08
Talksport Rafa all done but yet to be confirmed officially!

1.) 25 Jun 2021 14:05:24
Please let's just get behind him and be patient! If nothing else it seems he was desperate for the job so let's back him rather than jumping on him at the first opportunity. We need to remember this is a squad that was beaten home and away by Newcastle, at home by Fulham and sheff utd under Mr Ancelotti.

Jorge Jesus, some manager apparently turned Everton down because he's used to winning titles. Which translates into "I want to manage a ready made team challenging for the title because I ain't capable of building one". Richy did give him a dig in his post though haha ?.

1.) 10 May 2022 15:51:33
Is that an anagram for Jose Mourinho Tom.

2.) 10 May 2022 20:05:13
Ideal for our climate!

06 May 2022 07:32:20
Big game Sunday, if Both Burnley and Leeds lose, that surely must be a carrot dangling in front of the players to go and get a win against Leicester. I know it shouldn't be like that but it is what it is. A chance to get out of the bottom 3 and stay out!

1.) 06 May 2022 08:57:46
Yep that’s for sure Tomtom mate, I reckon we can do it.

2.) 06 May 2022 09:12:54
If we where at home and that happened I would be very confident the fans would drag them over the line but I still think this team lack heart and fight without the fans at goodison so I'm praying they prove me wrong as I'm in work from 10am Sun until 17:30 Tues and that's going to be one long shift if we lose.

3.) 06 May 2022 09:22:14
Keep the faith Lamps mate we can do it.

4.) 06 May 2022 14:04:44
Will do GuernseyBlue UTFT.

5.) 07 May 2022 10:55:32
No need to worry about why the other clubs are doing, players just need to focus on Everton, reckon 40 points should keep us up. Five big games coming up.

6.) 07 May 2022 12:40:05
I'd happily take 3 or 4 points from these next 2 games.
If its 3 I'd want 6 from the two home games. 4 points and 4 from the home games would see us through I think.
If Villa can beat Burnley today then 4 points from the next two games would be huge.
Burnley play Tottenham next week before we play.
Let's hope.

01 May 2022 09:15:54
Although monetary wise and status, there is no plus side to going down . But, if we do and our so called superstars / top players leave, it might just be good for these fringe players to make a name for themselves and get us back up to the premiership because the top players haven't done it this season, yet No manager has really given these youngers a good run! . Just a thought,!

1.) 01 May 2022 09:39:01
Do you genuinely believe if we go down we will come back up?
I don’t, the championship is the hardest league and the games come thick and fast. With our injury record would be amazed if we had a squad capable of lasting the distance. We also don’t have the players who would be up for the fight and slog required in the championship.
I fear if we go down we don’t come back for a while.

2.) 01 May 2022 10:15:12
If we go down ---------------------You need to post this on the teams page - it is not banter-------

3.) 01 May 2022 10:20:55
3 Seasons I reckon. Needs restructuring beginning with those at board level and FFP sorting,

25 Apr 2022 09:21:13
Carragher getting pelters on talk sport. Biased commentary, he's an a**hole. Commentators are supposed to report on the match not give biased opinion. But all said and done we look doomed, we can't score. No matter how hard we try how well we play, goals win games and we're struggling. Burnley will look at us now and know they have very winnable games coming up. We have Chelsea and Leicester. Not impossible to win but I think 4 points at best!

1.) 25 Apr 2022 09:48:55
I just wouldn't put carra on our games full stop.

He gets carried away when we score but then half the time tries to act unbiased by going completely against logic.

It's bad enough hearing Neville and Tyler on a united game so I get the frustration.

Having a bit of bias as pundits is OK but on commentary it should be neutral and if he can't do that, he shouldn't be on.

2.) 25 Apr 2022 09:55:08
I think we'd be more likely to catch Leeds than Burnley now. But I've accepted we're down. Just hope we manage to keep hold of the youngsters and they get loads of game time next year.

3.) 25 Apr 2022 14:54:41
Chris, if we can win our game in hand we go above Burnley, and they have to play Villa twice. Villa still not mathematically safe, so they have to be on it in these games.
Not over yet mate. ?.

4.) 25 Apr 2022 15:19:54
Wired, I can understand carragher being biased, but to say during commentary, hopefully we score and hopefully we can break everton down sums it up.

5.) 25 Apr 2022 18:53:13
Really don't see what the problem with him is. We know he is a red so what do we really expect.

6.) 25 Apr 2022 21:58:10
I'm adamant it's over now brass. Burnley seem to have hit a bit of form and have an easy run in. Leeds just got another point. We haven't got it in us to get out of the bottom 3 now.

7.) 25 Apr 2022 23:58:51
Brassington, yes they have to play Villa twice, Stevie g will bust a gut to help Everton out will he, not a chance, Villa will be safe, one more win will do them.

8.) 26 Apr 2022 12:34:06
Villa are playing awful so if you think he is going to throw games to send us down then you are deluded. The guy has to win games or he will be out of a job, and have blown any chance he has of managing the other lot.

20 Apr 2022 07:19:01
Massive game tonight, a win is a must. Just to get some breathing space, put pressure on Burnley. Because I really don't fancy us against the reds, a Derby can be unpredictable but we would have to be at our very best and them under performing just to have the slightest chance! . Coyb.

1.) 20 Apr 2022 08:50:23
With you there Tomtom mate and no Vardy either fingers x we get all 3 points tonight.

2.) 20 Apr 2022 12:39:21
Yes definately mate. Plus if we can't beat these at home, we won't beat than at their ground. Getting points at Chelsea isn't outside of what's reasonably possible but I see a right thrashing at the hands of the Kopites. They are just too good.

3.) 20 Apr 2022 13:16:45
Yeh I fear a rugby score coming against the reds ?.

4.) 20 Apr 2022 13:22:12
Hopefully win and they lose gives us a 6 point gap going into the Derby with a game in hand and that takes the pressure of the Derby game. they have a very tough game at home to Wolves but lose tonight and they beat Southampton then my Ar#e will well and truly be gone.

5.) 20 Apr 2022 14:21:11
Rest players against the red shelter, play some kids and tell them to enjoy themselves no pressure.

If Frank does get the boot if relegated, I'd love to see Dunc cut his teeth with us, it wd be an ideal opportunity for him to get some well needed experience. Other than that, I'd let Frank get his experience in the championship. We've tried big names and nothing worked, so for me I'd let 1 of those have a shot if relegated . Jeez just saying that word sends shivers down my spine! Just my opinion!

Please not Martinez, . ? . I recall the protests towards the end of his tenure as Everton manager. Nice guy but he just couldn't defend and seemed blind to what was happening on the pitch, everything was amazing in his eyes no matter how bad we were. For me it's big Dunc at least until they find the right guy (surely 8th time lucky)

Leeds are the ones looking doomed but if they did best Brighton, the pressure is back on us and Burnley, Leeds look to have imploded but, I didn't expect us to get 6 points from Chelsea and Leicester, so I'm definitely not discounting a fight back from Leeds, I'm just praying we don't need a result at Arsenal. 4 points is all we need from these games, let's hope 3 of them arrive Sunday!

If last Saturday I was asked would I be happy with 4 points from the next 2 games, I'd have said yes, so I am disappointed we didn't get 3 points last night but, I didn't expect 3 points away to Leicester so looking at the bigger picture I'm more happier than I am sadder. Just hope we win our home games, Leeds look doomed but it ain't over yet!

I'd be happy with a point today. But need 3 against Watford. The Bournemouth game at home, I think is a tough one, but winnable, but despite people saying Leeds are in trouble, I wouldn't fancy Burnleys last 3 games if I was a supporter, they look tough!

Never has a game in hand been so important. It could be the difference between staying up and the drop! We have to win today and the game in hand. If we don't win today, the pressure is on!
