Ed, is there any serious links and string links to any forward players not seen anything so far and it's worrying to say the least, I know it's early days but we can't afford to wait like last year and start the season 5 weeks after everyone else!

Bluetoff94

{Ed002's Note - It will be all down to money:

Beto (S) Only joined Udinese in July 2022. Unless a significantt offer were made Udinese would not look to sell. Everton has an interest as do Napoli.
Dodi Lukebakio (RW/F) Was wanted by Frank Lampard at Everton but the club refused to support a move and he moved to Wolfsburg on loan. Hertha can't resist a sale this summer due to relegation. As the player is scoring pretty regularly, Inter Milan are keen to take him as cover. Everton scouts did return to watch him against Werder Bremen.
Iliman Ndiaye (F/S) Everton enquired in January and could look again.
Viktor Gyokeres (S) Sporting have approached Coventry and asked to talk to the player.Everton looked to him in the summer and they could look again as he is having a great season. Wolves interest will probably have gone with Cuhna signing. Bournemouth offer an option. Leeds will look to him as a Bamford replacement and have approached Coventry with the signing of Rutter not impacting their interest. Coventry have resisted a sale up to now but you can expect him to make a move in the summer.
Boulaye Dia (S) Salernitana want to buy and resell Dia but the player wants to understand other options. Prior interest of PL clubs has drifted for now although Everton may have lingering interest at the right price and Valencia may be open to a sale if Saleintana do not take up their option.
El Bilal Toure (S) An option to Gyokeres for Everton and of interest to Wolves. Almeria would demand his full buy out clause be paid in a single payent - and it is €40M. Prior interest of West Ham remains.}

1.) 20 Jun 2023 08:01:05
Thank you Ed that’s great! Doesn’t sound overly promising for us but thank you. Any substance in the Harrison, Gnoto and Tyler Adams links? I’d personally go for sinisterra I wanted him last summer would be interesting to see if we could get him highly doubt it though.

{Ed002's Note - I have answered about Harrison. Liverpool has no interest in the others.}

2.) 20 Jun 2023 09:13:25
Good info Ed, however reading between the lines doesn’t sound great for us in signing m any of those players.

They’ll either be too expensive or have better options elsewhere.

Ndiaye looks a decent player however not sure Sheffield Utd would sell him having just got promotion to the premier league.

23 Jan 2023 19:39:05
Ed any truth in these Onana leaving in Jan rumours?! The summer I see but not now I hope.

Bluetoff94

{Ed025's Note - I can’t see it mate. Unless we go down and that will be summer..

1.) 23 Jan 2023 19:56:43
Just gossip about Chelsea buying everyone mate.

2.) 23 Jan 2023 20:10:24
He won't be at us past summer no matter if we are plying our trade in the 1st or 2nd division.

17 Jan 2023 15:47:12
Hi Ed, was wondering if you could sum up our attacking options the press seem to be going wild at the moment? Dembele, zapata, arnuatovic, sulemana, Danjuma and I've seen who've said about the lad at Montpellier. Are we likely to see more than one? I'd personally love danjuma, dembele and sulemana but I doubt three will happen. Is there any truth in any of these Ed?

Bluetoff94

{Ed002's Note - Arnaut Danjuma (W) Aston Villa are keen on the player but not the €35M Villareal require for the transfer. Newcastle have a declared interest. I am not aware of any proposal for Everton to sign him on loan with an option to buy but he is a player that FL looked at for Chelsea - Villareal will sell if the asking price is met so Everton have an option. West Ham, Aston Vill and Bournemouth provide options. Nottingham forest enquired.
Moussa Dembele (S) Prior interest of Manchester United has likely gone as he will be able to talk to non-French sides in January. This will spark the interest of Galatasaray who may be signing Seferovic but will be letting Icardi go. Everton may offer an option but it makes no sense for the plyer to move in January.
Duvan Zapata (S) Atalanta will sell or loan with an obligation to buy - nothing else. Will be hard to shift.
Marko Arnautovic (S) Not aware of any approach by Everton.
Kamaldeen Sulemana (LW) Rennes will let Sulemana move on in order to keep Martin Terrier and to raise funds. Not having an agent killed off the chance of a move to Ajax last year. Rennes will let him leave on a loan with an obligation to buy deal. Option to Elye Wahi for Everton and an option to Alex Baena for Nice.}

1.) 17 Jan 2023 16:16:39
That’s amazing Ed thank you so much! Do you know of any other links or is that pretty much Everton summed up quite well. You’ve been right all along that we’d end up in a mess and look at us now, the board hate the fans, the fans hate the board. You predicted this a long time ago (maybe not as messy as it is, or the supposed headlock haha! )

{Ed002's Note - Nothing beyond that already explained.}

2.) 17 Jan 2023 19:01:49
Thanks ed! ?.

3.) 17 Jan 2023 18:58:42
Truth now Ed’s do you really think any player would want to come to us the state we’re in?

{Ed025's Note - players will come penysarn even if its just for the money, we are still a big name in football but if i was joining i would have a caveat that if we go down i could leave mate..

4.) 18 Jan 2023 10:22:00
Would a train driver work for a different company for double or triple the wages if those wages were guaranteed regardless of their performance? That’s the bottom line really. Premier League wages dwarf those if most leagues. Although we’re a joke at the moment, in the last couple of days if the window, if a better team hasn’t come in for them, they’ll come to us and join the gravy train.

5.) 19 Jan 2023 01:13:11
Wish Giroud had that sentiment when he turned us down for significantly less wages and instead sign for a non premier league club after listening to the advice of a family friend!
But I suppose that could have been due to it being a better team - that’s a matter of opinion though.

03 Jan 2023 13:12:38
Hi Ed, sorry to start early. Any idea if we have any targets for January and what our aims will be? I saw you say about the coady loan to permeant being difficult, why is this? We have a clause in the loan and coady has come out and said he's happy at the club and wants to be close to his family so unless we were relegated I don't see why it would be difficult. What makes you think it'll be hard?

Bluetoff94

{Ed002's Note - Lampard wants it done immediately byt the player will want to know that Everton are safe.}

1.) 03 Jan 2023 18:29:32
Do you know if anyone is still interested in Gordon Ed?

I've seen reports that besiktas are trying to end the Dele loan early. Can't see us agreeing to that. Not looking good for him to be loaned out or sold for next season.

{Ed002's Note - No, Spurs interest has gone in AG. Besiktas would be happy to offload DA and will look to negotiate with Everton to do so.}

2.) 03 Jan 2023 18:45:06
Well we won’t know that until May will we! Three points tonight might help!

3.) 03 Jan 2023 21:29:26
Thanks Ed.

4.) 05 Jan 2023 07:49:55
Ings rumours flying around this morning, loan deal but villa want permanent! Although he's past his best, he's still better than what we have! For me, Just wish we had chancesd Diaz at Blackburn and not Maupey who's never really banged them in!

23 Aug 2022 17:50:07
Someone please tell me we aren't seriously interested in Almiron? Guy is awful, offers nothing whatsoever!

Bluetoff94

1.) 23 Aug 2022 18:14:11
Can’t see Newcastle selling him. He’s started every game so far this season.

2.) 23 Aug 2022 17:55:21
We aren't seriously interested in Almiron. There you go mate.

3.) 23 Aug 2022 21:38:26
You say that but we have spent £20m on McNeil and £30m+ on onana so anything is possible when it comes to Everton!

4.) 23 Aug 2022 21:47:34
Onana will be a steal. Mcneil unfortunately not showing anything atm.

5.) 23 Aug 2022 22:33:51
I quite like Almiron, he is super quick which would compliment our front line, I know he’s not a 20+ goals a season man but he would def be a good addition.
I can’t see Newcastle letting him go or even him wanting to come not with the project they are trying to build there with their megabucks!

6.) 23 Aug 2022 22:41:06
H8mail I'm starting to think you're a plant, or a plant pot.

7.) 24 Aug 2022 12:13:22
Here we go H8mail, you're not allowed an opinion mate.

8.) 24 Aug 2022 12:32:13
Onana has promise. McNeil is just dire.

9.) 24 Aug 2022 13:52:47
2nd time we've been linked with Almiron (always sounds like a Nissan to me) . Can't see it being remotely likely but I do like the guy too. Not the goalscorer we desperately need though.

10.) 24 Aug 2022 14:19:14
Newcastle fans are begging us to sign him on social media. He’s quick and works hard but has zero end product and zero physicality. He’s essentially Aaron Lennon if he was awful at football.

11.) 24 Aug 2022 14:21:59
MC Neil is dire ? the best compliment he will ever get.

12.) 24 Aug 2022 14:43:31
Why is everyone writing McNeil off after only 4 games, his strength is getting balls into the box, can anyone tell me who he is supposed to pass to.

Judge McNeil after we have got a striker in, his performances have been poor, but there is a player in there, give the lad a chance and a bit more patience, took Iwobi well over a season to finally click and look at him now, our best player this season and tail end of last season.

13.) 24 Aug 2022 16:36:05
Completely agree baz and McNeil didn’t have a pre season due to Burnley knowing he was leaving. And he’s only what 22 years old so still learning . I think he will come good . Going to take a while for the team to gel after the transfer window shuts so patience needed.

Is it just me or does this feel like panic stations and just cannot see a player coming in today, let alone the two or three we need! I'd love to be wrong but there seems to be no credible links at all.

Bluetoff94

1.) 31 Jan 2023 08:43:12
No need to panic mate, just sit back and see what happens.

2.) 31 Jan 2023 10:38:39
We do need players but we needed a better manager more. And we got one.
Id be gutted, and surprised, if we didn't strengthen the squad at all though. But i'd be very worried if FL was still here.

01 Sep 2022 15:16:27
Any chance of a forward player joining today, or is it just gueye and garner? I'm really hoping we pull a forward out the bag or someone else but it's looking exceptionally quiet for us!

Bluetoff94

1.) 01 Sep 2022 16:06:53
Have Gueye and Garner signed?

2.) 01 Sep 2022 16:49:55
Gueye has just been announced.

3.) 01 Sep 2022 16:52:47
Gueye hopefully, garner hopefully not, pure waste, or just swap him with that guy we got as a right attacking midfielder, he's that useless, don't even remember his name, more importantly, hope mills doesn't give up on us?.

4.) 01 Sep 2022 18:27:10
Why not see how he does Birkenhead? Then again that wouldn’t suit your agenda of continually moaning about the club and certain players.

I for one am happy with the Garner signing, did really well at forest last season and fits the profile of younger players with sell on value we seem to be moving towards.

30 Aug 2022 16:57:09
So how many players can we expect to be joining us on Thursday then? As nothing looks like it'll be done today or tomorrow! I'm hoping for three, gueye, garner/ kudus and maybe a forward but can also see us only getting gueye. Have you heard anything at all Ed?

Bluetoff94

{Ed025's Note - no mate its all still up in the air, gueye looks a shoe in but the rest is a guessing game, so much speculation and it looks like a deadline day melee to me mate..

1.) 30 Aug 2022 20:12:22
I love a deadline day melee me Ed.

{Ed025's Note - I’m like Jesse March ace. I keep looking at my watch.. ?

2.) 30 Aug 2022 20:55:34
It won’t just be Rodrigo with a sore arm if he carries on sticking it up in the air.

25 Aug 2022 22:10:53
Ed025 I guess with maupay now in advanced talks that signals that Gordon will be staying? I'm not sure how I feel about this, I feel like 60 million is too much to turn down for him. He needs to up his game or we are going to end up with another Barkley where he goes a window later for half the money is my concern!

Bluetoff94

{Ed025's Note - I would bite Chelsea,s arm off and take the money BT. Things can change in an instant though mate..

1.) 26 Aug 2022 07:56:54
Just my personal opinion I don’t think he moves now. Chelsea offered us the deal on Tuesday and ever since it’s been beyond silent on that deal. I think if he was being sold maupay wouldn’t have been coming. Unless the plan is we are going big somewhere but I just can’t see it. Maupay is a tidy little footballer, getting slated when he has a similar output to Richarlison, just want one more forward and believe the forward line will be alright if Gordon stays, if he goes we need 1 for sure maybe even two. Just hope we pull off gueye and garner/ kudus.

2.) 26 Aug 2022 07:59:13
I'm leaning towards Gordon staying due to this deal but if Chelsea offered 60 mill and the terms of payments where acceptable then I would drive him to London myself it's too much money to turn down and I would still buy Maupay and then get another striker in.

3.) 26 Aug 2022 08:16:28
I’m quite shocked by this but will support Maupay if he signs and puts on the blue shirt, he’s obviously better than Rondon. My prediction is he’ll become a problem and will upset the dressing room, the blokes middle name is agg. I still understand why we’re signing him, we need a striker.

4.) 26 Aug 2022 10:08:16
Frank has come out and said no such offer of £60m was received for Gordon.

5.) 26 Aug 2022 13:23:08
Just make sure it's the one holding the money and grab it quick.

19 Aug 2022 16:33:13
So Ed I see you said it was maupay but we haven't progressed thag because we aren't sure about Gordon. Does that mean they'll be different targets if Gordon leaves and more money to spend or just that priorities will change?

Bluetoff94

{Ed025's Note - I would imagine the targets would be of a higher quality BT..

1.) 19 Aug 2022 22:05:54
Basically all gone tits up!

2.) 19 Aug 2022 21:59:25
Thank god!
Think
U weren’t delirious with Maupay Ed25 reading between lines.
Don’t think any blues were really!
Can this Ajax kudos play up top?

{Ed025's Note - your right PHH I was not delirious mate. He was a stop gap due to the finances. Better than nothing I suppose though..

What is the Gordon situation though? They seemingly bid early last week and we rejected it and from outside looking in it’s been very very quiet since. Can we expect them to come back with another bid? The issue for us is can we really afford to wait? Can lampard afford to wait? Two big away games before Liverpool and Arsenal? I don’t think he should be sacked but we could easily be looking at 4 losses.

Bluetoff94

{Ed025's Note - everton are thinking they will be back BT, if they or spurs offer £50m i think he may go mate..

I never said he’s what we want. But he gave his all for us when it mattered the most and didn’t shy away. If you think Richarlison is world class you’re mistaken, if he was world class he wouldn’t be going to Tottenham. I’ll say it again Lukaku was harder to replace. I don’t get why you’re spinning the alli vibe no one has mentioned him. And again, without alli we don’t bear palace, instead of being so negative why don’t you try and look positively at what’s happening. We need to build and it’s the right way to do it, if we kept Richarlison another season he had a year to go and we’d have got next to nothing for him. I hope when alli and iwobi perform well next season in games, and they score and everyone celebrates around you that you stay seated considering you clearly don’t support them. The club matters more but back every player make them feel loved and they’ll give you 10% more.

Iwobi no assists or goals? Okay so that 1-0 win against Newcastle when it mattered most who scored? The win against Leicester who crosses the ball? Iwobi was massive for us in the run in, I never rated him but he gave his all for the club in the last few months, and right now he’s our player so let’s back what we’ve got eh?

There might be, but they’ll want 25 million and I don’t think we should be spending that on him. Better going after Lewis potter but doubt we get him now. I’ll be honest I don’t know who I want, I’d take dennis from Watford very similar to Richarlison and matched his goals with no pens and stopped playing after Watford were stupid with him about the afcon, I like zinchenko believe he’d offer us something we don’t have. I do NOT want winks but let’s see. I’d take lingard (if the rumours are true) he will get us goals but stupid wages AGAIN. I think Patterson and Mykolenko will be impressive for us this year. For me it’s about getting the centre of midfield right. If we can sell mina and Gomes get 250 a week in wages gone and 10/ 15 mill in transfer fees in we’ve done well. Mina barely plays, Tarkowski in his place a captain will help. Gomes never plays ever and davies coming back who’s only 24 hopefully lampard gets him playing he has a very similar skill set to Gilmour who lampard likes so let’s see. I’m hoping Thelwell looks in Portugal. Marcus edwards looks a player. And then madueke and gakpo both in Holland look good but I’d be wary of that market never worked out for us before!

We need to avoid McNeil at all costs, most shots lost season without a goal, no assists most crosses. He is not the man unfortunately. We need to go after a right sided player and let Gordon play in his natural position. For me alli and iwobi will be sufficient in the advanced midfielder role. Iwobi was probably more influential in the last 10 games than Richarlison, everyone is saying he scored 6 in 9 to keep us up but 3 of them were penalties and not one of them he won himself. Don’t get me wrong I love the kid think he’s amazing but he’s not on the levels lukaku was for us, arteta or even pienaar for that matter. Players come and go the club will still be there. We sold Rooney and ended up in Europe the following year so who knows what’s around the corner. A fully fit Dom will replace Richarlisons goals from last season and actually over us a presence up front where Richarlison never seemed fully comfortable for us.
