30 Jan 2026 19:36:58
Surely it can’t be a loan because he’s now a free agent.

30 Jan 2026 19:39:47
He can’t be worse than that Dwight McNeil fellow.

31 Jan 2026 10:33:38
His Chelsea wages are now irrelevant if he is a free agent.

30 Jan 2026 15:22:35
Cheerful bunch. Driven me away (at last some will say) , wonder where Skylark drinks.

{Ed025's Note - you have to be bigger that taking other peoples opinions to heart DMS, you are better than that mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2026 16:04:04
Your opinion is just as valid as someone's opposite opinion dmsblues. Wouldn't be a banter site without a difference of opinion mate.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely Dentie..

30 Jan 2026 17:40:05
No one’s driving anyone away. Keep it respectful, share your opinions, all welcome.

30 Jan 2026 17:57:03
dms don’t let one or two give you any gip mate, we all think we know what’s best for Everton, I enjoy your input as I do with skylark, don’t let the minority drive you out buddy your better than that.

30 Jan 2026 17:58:58
True JBtoffee. I've been on posts where dmsblues has agreed with me and disagreed with me. As I have with him. Just because you have an opinion it doesn't mean your right. Everyone has difference of opinion but life goes on either way. Just be respectful. It's when insults get fired towards you that makes you wonder whether it's worth it for banter site.

30 Jan 2026 18:05:03
Is there a post I have missed here? Can’t spot anything other than people talking about Grealish and Moyes.

30 Jan 2026 18:05:44
“Please don’t leave Dms” in Gazza’s crying voice.

30 Jan 2026 18:34:22
DMs if you go I will have nobody to disagree with ?.

30 Jan 2026 18:35:08
DMS keep posting mate I'll buy you a pint next time I'm in Liverpool.

30 Jan 2026 18:39:11
Sorry dms, please forgive me.

30 Jan 2026 18:43:28
I can't see anything either BlueNose but something's ticked him off. I enjoy reading the posts and having some input. I think when replies start getting personal that I'd probs take a break. Luckily I've had not bad replies to my posts. yet lol.

30 Jan 2026 21:26:26
I've had a few, but it's a banter site. Sometimes I throw comments out to get a convo going. Deep down we all love our club and all have our own opinions on how it could be better. Being an Evertonian is not easy.

30 Jan 2026 21:55:49
I disagree with a lot on here, but some views help put mine into perspective, we all have blue tinted glasses on here some are just a different shade of blue. If it was so easy to see and do everyone would do it and we would all draw.

31 Jan 2026 09:08:55
My only rules when posting on here are:

1) I try not to post straight after a defeat as my emotions are often running too high.

2) The other one is I try not to post when I’ve had a few sherbets, as again, I might come out with a load of old claptrap (yes more than usual) .

I love this page and hearing all your opinions.

P. S. I’m currently away in County Limerick on a 3 day bender, so rule 2 has the chance of being severely tested today!

{Ed025's Note - have a great time Benny..

31 Jan 2026 09:38:20
I love reading the difference we all have in opinions we are all a unique individual in our own right, I type and delete more posts than I make, have an input here and there, but mostly I enjoy everyone’s take on what they think is best whether I agree with it or not.

30 Jan 2026 11:17:00
Whats you're foughts on jack grealish ed 025 saying if he needs surgery he will be out for rest of season have we got a loan with obligation to buy him and would his wages be a problem me personally I doubted him on his first arrival but he's proved me absolutely wrong since his time at the club if he can just get in the box tiny bit more and have few more shots at goal he's a no brainer for me to buy him if the transfer fee is reasonable.

{Ed025's Note - my opinion of Jack, - great player, great team man, sells lots of shirts and seems to love it at Everton...negatives, astronomical wages, has issues with alcohol, is 30 so no sell on value,
i believe we could get him for £25m which is a steal but he would really have to lower his wage demands Andy...hes on £15.6M per year, i would love to keep him mate but only if he lowered his wage demands..

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2026 17:41:42
Gutted. What an impact he had at the start of the season. Interesting to see where this goes from here. Wonder whether he might take the cash of a foreign move now his England career looks to have run its course.

{Ed025's Note - yeah JB i think we can safely say his England career is over mate, this World cup was last chance saloon i think..

30 Jan 2026 17:59:12
I think operation or not we won’t see him on the pitch this season, still think we should sign him in the summer, good player.

30 Jan 2026 17:59:52
I personally can’t see Everton taking a gamble on him, he’s a great player no doubt but he’s too expensive for Everton even if came on a free wages that only a super club could afford over a period of two / three year contract.

30 Jan 2026 18:36:58
Age and wages against him now. Need to look for a young winger with pace.

30 Jan 2026 14:27:18
Watching Moyes press conferences is like pulling teeth. He is so dour and negative just like the gravel muncher. Very hard watch and no positivity at all.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jan 2026 18:38:02
Yea does my head in Reg, it’s almost like he getting his excuses in before the game.

30 Jan 2026 19:09:13
Not sure if it’s just me but Moyes seems to be coming over a bit spiky when answering some of the questions, no smiles, gives the impression that he doesn’t want to inform the fans about the squad’s current situation.

30 Jan 2026 11:44:57
So Grealish out for the season - I don't think anyone is surprised after the news around him the last week. But what is surprising is the lack of transfer activity for a replacement, the apparent content to stick with McNeil or Dibling who are both clearly not good enough.

I'm actually wondering if the lack of replacement signals intent to sign Grealish in the summer per the agreement, although hopefully with a revised fee.

Why would you sign someone for the position who you know will become a bench warmer in 6 months time, unable to displace Grealish. It'd be a serious waste of transfer funds plus wages for a short term need.

I believe if we do make a move for a replacement then it will be a loan, or a player who knows full well that their future at the club is a battle to displace Grealish, getting minimal minutes here and there, definitely not anyone for fans to get excited about, merely an upgrade on the current options but a low value addition with no real future at the club.

30 Jan 2026 14:36:43
Looking for 12 months for a RB and still haven't found one, makes spending all that money a new recruitment worthwhile.

30 Jan 2026 09:37:52
I feel for The manager I think we'll be saving now on until the summer.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jan 2026 11:23:26
Wonder if it’s because they want to back a new manager in the summer?

30 Jan 2026 11:48:02
If we get rid of players before bringing anyone in I give up. All the talk of having a threadbare squad and then Moyesy saying a possibility players may leave is beyond me.

30 Jan 2026 15:46:17
I know some of you can't wait to see the back of Moyes but do you really believe he will be sacked or is it just wishful thinking? Can't see it myself, especially considering the league position this season in comparison to the last few. Our away record has been better than it has for decades, we just need to sort out the home form. As I've said before, not many clubs move to a new stadium and hit the ground running, it takes time for numerous reasons. The players and fans have to get used to it to make it the fortress that Goodison served up so well. Other teams relish coming to a new ground as well.

It also goes without saying that two defensively astute full backs, who aren't afraid to get to the ball into the box or overlap the wingers, would make a massive difference to how we set up.

Another forward is required as well and then we can let beto, Dwight and Micky leave for whatever cash we can get for them. It looks more and more likely that cash will be spent in the summer window to improve squad quality and depth, rather than this window.

It's a bit harsh to condemn the manager who has stabilised the club, got us up the league after years of relegation battles and has only had a few windows to improve on the dross we had 18 months ago.

30 Jan 2026 17:43:04
It was always unlikely that we’d fix every position this season. I expected we’d need at least two summer windows. Big challenge will be holding on to JB, Jimmy, KDH and Ndayie.

30 Jan 2026 17:44:53
Absolutely agree bluepatato.

30 Jan 2026 07:59:48
Quick, quick who is left, what can we get.

Didn't realise zinchenko was only 29 and 1.9 mill euros.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jan 2026 15:47:09
Not much of an improvement on what we already have though, i'm glad we weren't in for him in all honesty, dm.

29 Jan 2026 23:12:45
Angel Gomes rumoured with Wolves. Madness if that is where he ends up. Would have expected some better teams in for him e. g. Fulham or Brentford. Wolves are down and rumours loan with obligation to buy. We should be all over that. Even if we didn't see him a long term option. Definitely a useful player and could spin him for a profit with ease. 29 goals and 25 assists in 116 games, quality little player. Could be Lingardesque under Moyes at West Ham.

Put it this way. He is better than McNeil.

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Jan 2026 23:54:34
I'm sure we were in for him in the summer as a free from Lille, but he opted to stay in France. I'd still take him though.

30 Jan 2026 09:04:19
I've liked him when I've seen him but we're pretty stacked in midfield, I'm not sure he gets in the team.
Plus, he plays quite a unique position really. Does he replace Gana or Jimmy? He does over something different from deep though.

30 Jan 2026 09:50:46
He might not be a starter but we know how unlucky we get with injuries and always good to have better players coming off the bench imo.

I think he is more of an attacking mid myself so would be competing with KDH, unless he was moved deeper how he was playing before his injury.

Options are what are important and he would certainly bring that.

29 Jan 2026 22:26:20
If Moyes now decides to play Branthwaite on the left then we don’t need to play Mykolenko surely!

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2026 22:48:28
4 CBS at the back? Reminds me of the Walter Smith days.

29 Jan 2026 23:24:26
Plays him left of 3 CB's, there is a WB left of him. Not after a LB anyway.

29 Jan 2026 20:09:03
Think we have a near fully fit squad, Grealish unfortunately not available. Some tough decisions for Moyes.

I think he'll shift OBrien out to rb.

Personally i'd have Garner at Rb, but not hugging the touchline, coming in and adding to CM.
I'd Keep Tarks in, at expense of an unlucky OBrien.

Give Dibbling a run. i'm no McNeil hater but think having players like Garner and Dewsbury-hall, Gana consistently around him and he'll show his potential

My team

Pickford
Garner
Tarks
Branthwaite
Myko

Gana
Rohl

Dibbling (r)
Dewsbury-hall
Ndiaye (L)

Barry.

{Ed025's Note - i think Moyes will revert to type BB, Jake at Right back and Jimmy in midfield with Dibbling on the bench mate..

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jan 2026 20:52:10
McNeil left wing and 2 keepers on bench. Only 1 keeper on bench against villa and it didn't quite feel right lol.

29 Jan 2026 21:46:37
Moyes doesn't change his style very often. I bet that he will play McNeil and Keane with O'Brien at right back. He will not risk Branthwaite for a full 90 minutes, not sure how match fit he is after a long lay off with injury.

Hope that I'm wrong.
I would like to see Aznou on the left instead of McNeil, he has speed and we need. I just hope that we give up this backpedaling tactic in the first half and get at them right away.

29 Jan 2026 23:20:19
Will Branthwaite be able to get back to his best? That’s my fear. The future is JB and JO’B but he needs to ease Branthwaite back and I don’t see him starting games until the end of the season or if we get injuries.

Patterson might not be the best RB in the team but we looked more balanced with him there and O'Brien at CB. Shame we haven’t gone and bought someone this window.

29 Jan 2026 23:29:22
The lad impressed for his 15 mins, won the dodgy penalty and ran straight to Moyes for a hug. Not 90 mins ready at that intensity. I agree he looked more WB than LB when he came on.

30 Jan 2026 12:46:50
Can't get my head around this not 90mins ready. I mean McNeil isn't even 10mins ready, yet he plays him.
If he is more of a wing back then play three at the back - might improve our defending at corners- and have the full backs push on.
Play 5-2-3-1?
