Apparently have to pay Burnley £40m which is ludicrous for them being crap. Also Man City still not had any of their issues dealt with. Bang goes any new signings, Dwight will be next for a new deal.

Can't believe we haven't offered £150 million for Alvarez. Another one we'll miss out on.
10 Jun 2026 06:00:09
I expect some would say they didn't want him, as he's not good enough, but would rather have Lukaku back.
10 Jun 2026 08:52:10
Probably just get all the photos done and then get pipped by Real Madrid.
10 Jun 2026 09:51:55
How old is he?
10 Jun 2026 10:40:23
Too young, needs more experience. Meanwhile, we are still trying to tie Gueye down to a new 5 year deal.
10 Jun 2026 12:50:59
Can he play right back?
09 Jun 2026 13:33:07
Think our club badge moto has been mis-translated and means
'Nothing but constant bloody moaning'.
It's an crazy amount of negativity on here and other social media sites.
09 Jun 2026 14:31:42
Agreed, I have stopped posting much. If you say the bloody obvious, it is "moaning". If you make rash predictions like "we should get 9 points from the last six games and 12 would be better", you get six thumbs up.
The reality is that we are a mid-table team with an over-the-hill manager who is happy to give a three year extension to a mediocre left-back.
We all hope and pray it will improve, and it might. I just want to see some evidence, not pie-in-the-sky predictions.
09 Jun 2026 14:44:31
Also, with many over the mill players, Mike, and they are even more to blame than the manager mate.
09 Jun 2026 14:57:24
Spot on Bunkbeds. Best to ignore the social media side of things, mate, and chat to the guys and girls next to you in the stands. We most definitely have a different opinion.
09 Jun 2026 15:26:09
Well, most of the chat is about our brand of football. Can we expect anything other than negativity?
I'll be honest, I think the fans on here speak from the heart and know our club very well. So when the club give Ilya a run of wins or an exciting addition in the transfer window, the talk turns to the positives.
So when it's a run without wins or we sign a poor left back up for another three years of garbage, I struggle to disagree with anyone who has a moan about that. So a few wins start of next season and some decent signings and I'm back on the positivity train again. Woohoo!
09 Jun 2026 16:10:56
I'm stuck on the platform waiting for the train going nowhere. But deep down hope it's the Flying Scotsman.
{Ed025's Note - good stuff BMD..
09 Jun 2026 16:13:10
Haha. Brilliant, BMD.
09 Jun 2026 16:17:30
The Rocket would be better, mate.
09 Jun 2026 17:06:36
Well GB, you can't blame the players who sat on the bench a whole season without being given a chance.
As far as the train is concerned, I just want to get on one that has a destination, not just changing at Crewe with no forwarding destination.
09 Jun 2026 17:37:01
I'm blaming some of the ones that played, mate, not good enough.
09 Jun 2026 20:20:35
And, of course, not your beloved Moyes at all, GB. When will you finally realise the man is useless and not what we want if we are to go forward.
09 Jun 2026 20:35:11
Not beloved at all, quite happy for him to have a couple of windows then judge him. If he cocks up he will be gone.
09 Jun 2026 20:54:45
Well, we have been over this many times, GB. His tactics are poor, his substitutions are crap and he relies on his favorites, add boring football and you have Moyes in a nut-shell.
Can't see much point in keeping him to see if he cocks up.
If we keep him, he has to change. Yes, better players, if we can get them, will help, but Moyes's tactics and man management have to improve, otherwise it is more wasted time.
09 Jun 2026 21:35:43
I'd say that, going by the final 7 games of the season, he's already well and truly cocked up. Costing the club European football, when it was well within our grasp and in our own hands, is an absolute disgrace, but of course Moyes believes it's progress.
09 Jun 2026 22:11:48
If anyone isn't moaning about the football served up on a weekly basis and the poor recruitment and Moyes' baseless post match observations, then need head checking.
It's been a bloody awful season yet again with no progress whatsoever.
Yet again, another season where we still need a right back and a striker for what must be the 10th season in a row.
But I can post how brilliant and upbeat the season is where I can see a plan, improvement and a style of football pleasing to the eye which is developing under Moyes - however that would be BS.
09 Jun 2026 23:35:28
3 seats to our right, a couple to our rear, and certainly most within earshot don't agree, dog Peter.
09 Jun 2026 09:36:11
Well my fellow Evertonians, I think it's as plain as the nose on your face that TFG have no plans to relieve Moyes the Messiah of his duties, so let's rejoice as the 25/26 season will more than likely be our highest place finish in the league under this current incumbent. Moyes is let's keep what we have it could be worse sort of guy; he is rarely the type of manager that will bust a guy to make great strides, just a inch better is progres in his eyes. That kinda manager can never take us back to the days of Nil Satis Nisi Optimum. It's should actually now be it's better than nothing or in Latin Aliquid Est Melius Quam Nihil. This man will consider this season a success. Job done, judging by his comment in the Spurs game where he actually says we were the better team for the last 20 minutes. Is that the kinda manager we really wanted to lead us into what was meant to be a brave new era with a state of the art new stadium 🏟️ generating new income streams that was slowly meant to wake this sleeping giant of a club from it's slumber and start the long road back to be a upper middle table side at worst and start pushing on from there to win cups, gain European qualification and dare I say it in time even challenge for the league title again? Trust me when I say under this manager the only thing we might win is the EFL Trophy.
If I did not know any better I would believe Moyes was being paid by our neighbours across Stanley Park as was since we have moved grounds to further destabilise us, but no it's just the only way that dithering Dave knows how to run a club. My optimism for the 26/27 season is already being to wain. What say my fellow Evertonians. 😭😭😭😭
{Ed025's Note - i really want to tell you you are talking tripe TB...but i cant, but fact is that we cant do anything about it mate and we will still be there at the start of the season willing them on..its the hope that kills you..
09 Jun 2026 13:38:15
I’m personally looking forward to this coming season when Moyes has more of his own players in. We’ll fill the void at right back and hopefully get rid of some fringe players that just haven’t cut it.
Alcaraz would be first to go for me. Although we all would have loved European football, we haven’t got the numbers to compete, so I believe it’s a blessing. Onwards and upwards. 💙
09 Jun 2026 14:13:08
What do you mean we haven’t got the numbers to compete? Palace won the Conference League; do they have more numbers than us? Freiburg lost to Villa in the Europa League final; do you think they have more numbers than us?
Your final league position, or winning a cup, gets qualification for Europe. We weren’t good enough to qualify, no other reason.
09 Jun 2026 14:19:23
Agree we weren't good enough to qualify but also we have a paper thin squad. I believe it's a blessing.
09 Jun 2026 13:11:22
I can Ed that's a right load of cobblers mate, strewth
{Ed025's Note - as always they are just opinions mate and will not effect anything the club decide to do..time will tell i suppose..
09 Jun 2026 16:16:23
Very sad times when supporters don't want to see us play in Europe. It's not like we couldn't add to the squad pre season, and it would have given some of our younger players the opportunity to show what they can do. And, let's not forget the extra revenue.
Blessings in disguise, tut tut tut.
09 Jun 2026 17:38:57
Agree, Bmd, my mate's a Spurs fan and he says they got over £70 million in Europe.
09 Jun 2026 23:36:29
Yes he is Ed25.
09 Jun 2026 08:06:50

09 Jun 2026 10:35:14
Relentless. Give those Russian bots a run for their money
09 Jun 2026 00:51:05
I'm glad dithering has offered our terrible left back and Keane new contracts because this is the start of his demise. He'll be gone before Christmas, you can count on that.
09 Jun 2026 07:30:40
So we're supposed to get rid of players from our threadbare squad. We can always start the season with 9 players, I suppose. 🤷🏼♀️
09 Jun 2026 12:42:53
Or we could move on crap players and replace them with better ones. Simple.
09 Jun 2026 15:37:05
Yes. Replace the poor players that cost us goals or missed sitters and replace with those that can defend or those that can put it in the net from 6 yards. Are we truly scared to improve?
09 Jun 2026 16:16:17
So, because we are threadbare, we have to keep s*** players. My God, this club is a laughing stock. The club shop should start selling Prozac.
09 Jun 2026 16:39:52
No, not at all, but you can't ditch players in the hope of getting better ones. We know, all too well, that rarely materialises with our recruitment. Defensively, we weren't that bad, but attacking injuries really hampered us, and don't get me started on our strikers.
08 Jun 2026 20:09:28
I see Spurs are after Hackney now.
08 Jun 2026 21:27:34
No surprise there, same old Neverton dithering in the transfer market again.
08 Jun 2026 23:34:18
Window isn't open. What are you moaning about?
09 Jun 2026 00:15:13
Moaning about, that on the first day the window opens, Hackney will be parading in a Spurs shirt, unless our wonderful recruitment team get their finger out and get it sorted.
09 Jun 2026 01:41:27
Spurs have signed 2 defenders on frees so far, and agreed a £60 million pound deal with City for Savinho. I wouldn't have wanted the LB they have got, but Senesi from Bournemouth would have been a belting signing. Did we even try to get him? 🤔 Probably not, coz we have Tarks and Keane at the back.
09 Jun 2026 02:00:56
The deal should already have been done behind closed doors. First day of the window, he should be seen in our shirt. If we want him, pay the money & get him in before anyone else gets the chance.
We have lost deals in the past arguing over £5 million in valuation difference.
Hopefully, TFG are a bit wiser & just go & get the players needed.
This is a massive window for us, whether Moyes is in charge or not. It is a statement of intent. Are we going to become future challengers or are we happy picking up scraps to stay mid table.
UTFT NSNO. 💙 💙 💙
09 Jun 2026 07:42:44
Exactly, we are always acting like a small club. All other small clubs have progressed massively, and we have stood still.
09 Jun 2026 10:19:06
Palace after Hackney now, package put together, no messing, will get the job done.
09 Jun 2026 11:27:50
There appear to be a number of clubs after Hackney now based on reports I have read.
One of them will soon pay 20m for him if that is the fee that Middlesborough want. They won't mess around (as we normally do) for what, by today's standards, is not a large fee for a 23 year old midfielder, irrespective of him only having one year left on his contract.
08 Jun 2026 20:01:05
In reply to Skylarks earlier post, my player would be Howard Kendall.
08 Jun 2026 21:12:11
I wish he was our manager mate.
08 Jun 2026 21:29:20
So do I, mate.
09 Jun 2026 10:05:51
Great man manager who knew how to get the best out of his players without alienating any of them.
08 Jun 2026 15:14:42
Great news to see that Mykolenko has signed a 3 year deal. What a start to the window. Onwards an upwards!
08 Jun 2026 15:52:52
After 143 appearances, 4 goals and 3 assists later, three years seems a long time for someone I'd hoped we were looking to upgrade..
08 Jun 2026 16:35:45
I wouldn't mind if he was a back up, but he's not, is he. There's no way he would sign a 3 year deal thinking he was going to be second choice.
08 Jun 2026 16:46:27
Wish that would have been Ndiaye.
08 Jun 2026 17:20:05
Pathetic, no ambition, filled with dread already. My god, why can't this club move forward? What start to summer!
08 Jun 2026 18:29:28
Such news can only be treated with disbelief and sarcasm BN.
I'd have shown him the door as he's not even good enough to be a back up and hasn't improved at all during his time with us. He's just a liability.
So Mr Negativity strikes even before the window opens. Doesn't fill me with confidence. I didn't mind how Moyes left us first time round, as I thought his race was run. Obviously he showed a lack of respect for the club but that happens in football, but I don't think I can forgive him for the way he cost the club European football with our capitulation at the end of the season that was caused solely by his inept management.
I usually look forward to the transfer window, but I await this one with trepidation. He has too much influence at the club and whoever gave him the final say on signings needs their head examined.
08 Jun 2026 18:53:44
What a great post Shropshire, at one time we had Kenwright holding us back, now we have Moyes, who is like a bad smell that just won't go away.
08 Jun 2026 19:04:45
Mykolenko and Keane both signing just shows a huge lack of ambition and hope to me. Both are garbage and before anyone says Keane was one of our better players last season, what about all the other seasons he's been here.
I never wanted Moyes back and with him in charge we will have a team all near or over 30 and the football will be dire.
08 Jun 2026 22:45:48
Spot on, everyone.
It just beggars belief that we can all see it, but the powers that be can't.
Hopefully, they have signed him on so we can recoup some of the 20ish million we spent on him.
I have heard he has suitors in Italy and Germany.
If we flipped him for 15/20m in a few weeks, I think we would all doff our caps to "the best in class".
08 Jun 2026 23:20:49
Yep they know nothing about football.
09 Jun 2026 00:19:18
Nice thought, but our recruitment team could not find their own ass, with two hands, and a map.
09 Jun 2026 03:11:46
@dms tell us what the majority of us evertonians can't see in relation to Keane and Mykolenko. Why do you think so highly of them? Tell us what we're missing instead of your sly digs at the posters in this thread. Share some of your wealth of 'football knowledge' and help educate us.
IMO they are squad players at best, Mykolenko's faults and limitations have been explained on here many times over the past few years, as have Keane's. But no one has explained what I am not seeing. So hopefully you can educate me and I, along with others will be delighted that they have signed new contracts.
08 Jun 2026 14:11:29
Any news on a right back? The most important position this summer.
08 Jun 2026 19:03:13
Yes. We don't need one, we are going to go with a back three. Tarks-Keane-Micky. O'Nrien and Branthwaite subs. 👍
08 Jun 2026 19:21:52
Totally agree, Payner, and we have needed one for quite somewhile now. Missed the boat last close season, and we were consequently left without a proper one for the whole season. Trouble is, every club will know we are desperate in the RB position and look to have us over on transfer fee.
08 Jun 2026 20:24:48
Well, we did have one just that Moyes wouldn't play him. 🤷♂️
08 Jun 2026 21:15:16
Hahahaha, BMD.
That first post did make me laugh.
But all jokes aside, Mykolenko is probably a better player in a back 3 than he is as a left back. He's easily improved on as a left back, but doesn't look like our recruitment team think the same. But then they've failed to get us a right back for years now.
