Any info on McNeil to Forest Ed, a few rags reckon it’s on.

{Ed025's Note - not that i have seen yet GB..

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jan 2026 19:08:08
I hope it comes off for him. Wish him luck and move on. Unfortunately he's too predictable. Has no right foot and incredibly slow. He does well under Dyche though.

30 Jan 2026 19:16:02
This’d be a great deal to get over the line.
Angel Gomes in and Tim out?
Striker in and Beto out?

30 Jan 2026 19:36:06
I quite like Tim, had a stinker earlier in the year sure but he’s largely been a useful addition to the squad.

30 Jan 2026 19:41:24
I like look of Gomes JBtoffee. He's like Garner on that he can play in a no6, no8 and no10 role. Handy to have.

30 Jan 2026 19:42:39
Yeah was thinking the same JB, still think we will get two or three in myself.

30 Jan 2026 20:19:04
Judging by Moyse comments earlier GB he doesn't sound hopeful.

30 Jan 2026 23:57:36
We have a player in the under 21's who can't stop scoring. Maybe he is not big and strong enough for the first team but we will never know if he is not given a chance.

31 Jan 2026 10:29:32
Braiden Graham does look like a cracker player potentially. Huge step up into adult pro football though. Think he should have a loan before our first team.
Oh and Barry is doing pretty well at the moment.

31 Jan 2026 10:30:52
If McNeil moves then fair play, he isn't first choice anymore, I'm definitely not in the hate McNeil crowd. He has been very important in seasons past.

31 Jan 2026 12:43:02
He has Bunkbeds and I wish him well mate.

31 Jan 2026 13:29:21
Myself I think we need to get more pace in the wide areas LB RB RW LW, are the areas needing upgrades most at the moment If we can sell Beto get an upgrade, who can score regularly.

Of the players mentioned who knows who we are after? But we all know we need pace, goals, unpredictable players.

Attacking fullbacks to support the attack, with pace and able to put in decent crosses.

Wingers another Ndiaye would be great. We also need Winger with pace to burn, who can hit it past the defenders and outpace them. If we are keeping Mcneil we need to play him on the left and use that left foot to put good crosses in for the strikers.

Striker has to have experience of Premier League and be able to score regularly that's why Richarlison or Lukaku, are good examples of players who can produce on the pitch and set an example to younger players in training.

28 Jan 2026 20:27:11
John Duran and Norton Cuffy both being linked again hmmmm.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Jan 2026 21:33:37
More BS.

29 Jan 2026 08:01:15
But would take Norton Cuffy. Duran Duran is a problem we don't need.

29 Jan 2026 12:02:10
Take NO notice ????.

29 Jan 2026 16:50:51
If BlueNose says Duran would be an upgrade on what we have at the moment, that’s fine with me, BN has extensive football knowledge.

29 Jan 2026 18:03:57
Duran is good but no smoke witjout fire. Last less than a year at 4 clubs if he moves this month. Maybe a loan so can check his character and i'd be for it.

30 Jan 2026 18:41:49
Well if his character is in question then don’t go near him.

28 Jan 2026 16:05:25
I bet we end up with Raheem Sterling as a panic transfer.

{Ed025's Note - i bloody hope not Dev..

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jan 2026 16:35:58
Me too mate. Talk now of Henrique from Inter. It sounds like we are panicking and asking around for someone to get in. Hope this isn't the case.

28 Jan 2026 16:56:07
Behave.

28 Jan 2026 16:56:12
Im probably in the minority but if Sterling is fit i think he would be a good addition for the rest of the season and then sell mcneil. Obviously wages would be mega for sterling but who knows.

{Ed025's Note - wow, i could not think of a worse recruit if im honest MN, well maybe Kalvin Phillips..

28 Jan 2026 17:10:27
God there is some crap out there on a lot of money.

28 Jan 2026 19:04:51
After signing Dibling I don't think we will sign anyone in this window unless they are cheap and can improve the side.

28 Jan 2026 21:55:05
A last minute loan to try appease the fans. And he'll probs be from abroad and 5st wet through, so we don't get to see him play because Moyes won't think he can deal with premiership until he bulks up.

28 Jan 2026 11:57:17
Friend of mine just told me that Moyes might get the chop in the summer as our current owners are not happy with his current brand of conservative style football and home form as well, not sure whether this is true or not but also told that if he goes Grealish will not be joining either!

Agree4 Disagree1

28 Jan 2026 12:20:22
My friend told me we were going to get Guardiola, and sign Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.
But he knows feck all about football?‍♂️.

28 Jan 2026 12:22:10
Cant see that. Made that mistake with Big Sam and went down hill after that. Need to build gradually, so players want to come to a stable club, then go for Pep.

28 Jan 2026 14:07:25
Don't get Skylark excited Elvis lol.

28 Jan 2026 14:52:27
Would be little surprise if they parted ways with Moyes in summer as he possibly has taken us as far as he can.

Imagine a decision will be taken end of season when we know exactly where we finish in the league.

However would suggest the poor home form coupled with the abject cup exits won’t have been seen positively by the owners.

The lack of movement in this window potentially feeds into that suggesting the club don’t want to buy any players a new manager may not want.

28 Jan 2026 16:25:55
Top 10 and it will be considered progress, I agree.

28 Jan 2026 16:57:45
Top 10 would be very good, would be happy with that, couple more windows and who knows.

28 Jan 2026 17:43:22
It wouldn’t be a massive surprise if they did. He’s done the job he was asked to do, but most would agree that it’s not the brand of football we want for the future.

28 Jan 2026 18:03:04
May be controversial with this, but whilst top 10 would be seen as an improvement on previous seasons, with the league being so poor this year with only 12pts between 4th and 16th is it that much of an achievement to finish top 10?

Appreciate we’re in a transition phase but we should really be trying to finish higher than top 10 the way the league is this season - with so many underperforming this is an excellent chance to get European football.

Would argue we’re not ready for it, but reckon next season it won’t be as an easy opportunity as it appears this one.

28 Jan 2026 19:12:55
At the beginning of this season if asked I bet everyone on here would have been happy to be in the top ten at the end mate.

28 Jan 2026 19:27:24
Think your right Dan.

28 Jan 2026 19:45:58
I've said it a few times here, i think a good move would be to get him a better/ younger assistant. I know Irvine has been with Moyes for eons, and i'm not suggesting sacking him, but getting someone in that team who is actually tactically acute and ambitious, who can try and force Moyes out his old ways, while also being groomed to replace him.

I know Bainesy is already part of the team, but i've not seen anything from him to suggest he has any unique ideas, and the longer he is with Moyes, the less unique ideas he will have.

I've long championed Carlsey for that role, but i'm sure he's not the only one.

28 Jan 2026 21:09:46
GB definitely at the start of the season we’d all have taken top 10.

However the way the season is playing out with so many teams in and around each other and Europe being a realistic possibility for so many teams I think it’s only realistic to change expectations.

This appears to be the easiest season in ages for a team to get a European spot based on there being such a small points difference between so many teams in and around those spots.

Surely you the eternal optimist can see that a European spot is there for the taking?

28 Jan 2026 21:58:31
If it was true and Moyes was given the chop then I'd like to see a manager who doesn't just play names and fees. Someone who will dare to put a youth player in if current players aren't performing.

Poor Anzou comes on in only appearance and changes the game against Sunderland and we still have to witness McNeil playing. So slow he would lose a 100m dash at the old people's home sports day.

30 Jan 2026 14:28:41
Sorry to disappoint this site but it’s absolute rubbish. The only fans that are on our managers case are on here, literally. We’ve progressed if we finish10th with him having one proper transfer window, we’re still constructing a different sqaud. Moyes won’t be going anywhere in the summer.

30 Jan 2026 18:04:23
I'm all for giving Moyes time. Changing manager just creates upheaval within the squad. Look at when Benitez was here. His past gripe with Rodriguez at Real Madrid carried on at Everton and he was booted out. Digne wasn't fancied by him either even though he was best we had at LB and an attacking threat. New manager would want to bring his own backroom team in and players that fit his style. I'm all for progression under Moyes. Just wish he'd be about braver and stop playing negative, defensive football.

27 Jan 2026 15:23:44
Just seen a rep report we are in talks with Wesley Gassova any info Ed.

{Ed025's Note - sorry GB never heard of him mate..

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2026 15:35:42
1 goal in 19 for his current club. Sounds about right for us GB mate!

27 Jan 2026 16:32:40
Unbelievable.

27 Jan 2026 16:45:53
Been trying to find out about him, defo not for us then mate.

27 Jan 2026 17:53:47
Wesley and Barry up front, sounds like a couple of blokes from last of the summer wine.

27 Jan 2026 17:54:31
His stats over last couple of years are diabolical to say the least.

27 Jan 2026 18:26:40
Compo and Clegg would score more mate??.

27 Jan 2026 18:34:08
That's being unfair to us old folks Blue dev. Actually Barry is starting to win me over, well just a little bit. If he could learn to control the ball better he could start to call himself a football player.

27 Jan 2026 18:44:16
We've got to remember he is still young, like Dibling. They will come good.

27 Jan 2026 18:50:37
He is a 20 year old Brazilian. Another Dibling?

27 Jan 2026 18:53:26
Yes i agree, the Barry we sign at the start of the season is definitely a different beast now, is he a complete striker yet, no way but he's scoring, he's getting better and when he went off and beto came on you could see the attack twindled out, think i'm eating my words with Barry, I hope it continues .

27 Jan 2026 19:30:11
Barry from Eastenders is more of a complete striker BP!

27 Jan 2026 22:45:46
I was in New York to watch the blues in the summer, Barry came out of the hotel to get on the bus which all the team were on, he had his glasses on and didn’t know which end of the bus to get on, poor lad at least he’s finding the back of the net.

28 Jan 2026 21:59:43
His stats aren't great but who knows how he takes to the premier. He may be suited to our game and being amazing. Probably not though. Just trying to put a positive spin on it lol.

26 Jan 2026 23:24:48
Evening guys,

Don’t shoot the messenger here but I’m just passing this on.
I’ve heard a few whispers from a couple of guys who know quite a lot about Everton, I’ve been told that Jack Grealish is possibly in rehab for 6 weeks due to his drinking, I really hope this is wide of the mark but it would be interesting to see if he turns up at Hill Dickinson next few home games. He actually finished the game at villa and wasn’t brought off injured so intriguing. Has anyone else heard anything about this? Hope it’s not true.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jan 2026 10:00:45
Not sure how you could play football at a Premiership level if you had a drink problem.

27 Jan 2026 16:33:57
That’s very hard to believe.

27 Jan 2026 19:27:24
Sounds like absolute rubbish based on a lazy joke.

27 Jan 2026 20:58:11
I remember Andy Van Der Meyde was constantly drunk during his time with us. One occasion he drank til 4 or 5 am then turned up late for training stinking of booze. But I can't see Jack being anything like him.

28 Jan 2026 03:09:12
Dewsbury-Hall posted a picture of Grealish on a spin bike a few days ago. He did give KDH the middle finger but looked sober enough.

26 Jan 2026 15:44:38
Youssef En-Nesyri deal looks like it back on after his move to Juventus fell through, Fernerbahce have offered him for sale, and we are very keen on him.

Agree3 Disagree0

26 Jan 2026 19:26:37
Only 6 days left mate, can't see anything happening.

26 Jan 2026 19:45:23
I’m sure we will mate.

26 Jan 2026 20:59:25
Of course a deal can be done in 6 days.

26 Jan 2026 22:59:00
Why do we want him? Makes no sense to me.

Barry now scored 4 in 5 games.

Moyes isn’t going to play 2 up top, so signing En Nesryi probably means Barry being dropped which is ridiculous.

Also En-Nesryi doesn’t look that good of a striker and would question him actually wanting to come to us.

Stick with Barry and spend any money available on better service for him.

{Ed025's Note - for me the worst thing that could have happened was Barry getting a few goals Dan, its made people think hes decent...and hes not imo, so now we are settling for him?, harsh you may say but thats how i feel, the same with Dibbling, a poor mans Grealish but without a brain and you can stick your potential up your arse with him as well, there i have said it, you cant polish turds but you can roll them in glitter to make them look a bit better and this is whats happening with these two, we seem to be settling for second best and thats not the Everton i want to see mate, sorry about the rant and for being so negative but im fed up being nice about players who i feel are just not good enough..

26 Jan 2026 23:02:40
On reflection I'm not sure I want a player of his age that has done okay in Turkey (been there haven't we? ) , can't get in the Morocco team and would only want to come to us as his fallback option.
Didn't think he was good overall, but it was another brilliant finish from the young man tonight when presented with a chance.

27 Jan 2026 02:29:42
Barry has looked legit to me. And, he's just 23. Getting another striker to take minutes would be a huge mistake. We need fullbacks, unless we're willing to give Aznou a chance, in which case we need a fullback. Europe is right there to take, but we're instead watching it slip away.

27 Jan 2026 06:06:34
The main problem with Barry is he can’t hold the ball up and bring the midfield into play so the ball is coming straight back far too often.

26 Jan 2026 23:55:09
That's a rather disappointing take on Barry there Ed.

He's young and new to the league, had some struggles at start of the season but never stropped, never downed tools and gives his all each game and has been rewarded with 4 goals in his last 5 games.
His link up play and aerial ability is also improving with each game. He's not the finished article but he is improving and think he will become a very good player for us.

He's now on 5 for the season which by no stretch is great but is same as Gyokeres and 1 more than Sesko both of whom are also new to the league, cost considerably more and playing in far better teams than us.

He also has so far outscored Delap a player some fans wanted to join us, he's also ahead of Isidor and Larsen two players heavily linked with.

Regardless whether I like a player or not I'm happy when they score for us, can't stand McNeil but if he scored I'd be happy.

{Ed025's Note - i just get fed up with this club at times Dan especially with the recruitment, i dont rate Barry or Dibbling who seem to be not great but good enough for plucky old Everton, i feel a bit sorry for Barry because this system of whacking it up to him from the keeper cant be easy but his first touch is awful, maybe i have it wrong and Moyes is the fault with his tactics mate, him ant the full backs will be next on my list i suppose..

27 Jan 2026 08:50:28
JB I'm aware a transfer can be done in 6 days, but this is Everton.

27 Jan 2026 11:43:29
Have to agree with Ed025. Scoring goals does gloss over the fact that he is a lightweight poor footballer. There is so much more to it and the way he is celebrating as if he is answering his critics is laughable.

27 Jan 2026 11:56:23
I think his attitude, endeavour and running is improving but I don't think his link up play is. Did you not see it last night where he just passed it back to their lads without even looking where the ball was going. His first touch is also poor.

Finishing is definitely getting better which is the main thing but as an overall footballer, I just don't think his body is built to allow him to move well. He is so uncoordinated.

Lukaku had a poor first touch and link up play but he was a physical beast and could finish.

27 Jan 2026 12:52:33
Get that as fans we all get fed up.

However we need to have patience with players and that no longer seems to be the case.

Barry is far from the finished article but I’ve seen enough to suggest he will become a very good player for us and would much rather continue with him than bring another unproven player in like En-Nesryi who I guarantee only a handful of fans would have been aware of before we were linked.

We can’t keep trying to reset in positions - need to stick with players for a decent run and see how they develop.

James Garner for instance was having abuse for being poor last couple of seasons, now he’s one of our best players.

We need to give the players time, but not too much like we seem to be with mykolenko and McNeil in particular.

27 Jan 2026 16:44:33
I agree with you Ed on Barry, apart from his goal he didn’t help the team especially his retaining of the ball, also he doesn’t close Down opponents correctly, he lopes up to them instead of sprinting and closing down when not needed
Dibling Ed as discussed before is a mystery beyond a mystery, he was a brilliant youngster at Southampton.

{Ed025's Note - Barry had 2 notable touches in the game for me Uran and thats just not good enough imo, Dibbling needs to maybe go on loan mate but i cant see that happening, otherwise people will start asking why we paid £40m+ for someone who is not premiership ready...and i would be one of them..

27 Jan 2026 16:58:35
Dan
I have no problem with giving Barry time just like Dibling, the difference is that Dibling has others in front of him so he needs time coming off the bench, the same should apply to Barry if the club thinks so much of him, time coming off the bench but unfortunately he’s now our main striker now, compare him to other Everton main strikers of past years then he’s not in the same street, it’s not his fault that Everton recruitment is less than reliable, it’s a sorry state that Everton are relying on a striker they paid a lot of money for his potential, he’s been thrown in at the deep end and unfortunately is out of his depth this season especially, unfortunately for him I can see him learning anything from our 30mil Beto,

27 Jan 2026 17:58:54
Uran - compare him to other strikers of past years:
Tosun
Ramirez
Maupay
Chermiti
Simms
Niasse
Kean
Rondon

If you genuinely think he’s not better than those mentioned I’m at a loss.

If you’re comparing him to lukaku and Richarlison agree he’s not at their level yet.

Appreciate there are players ahead of Dibling, however if you’re happy that McNeil starts ahead of him then that’s part of the problem.

Dibling is our future, he needs minutes to get used to team and build confidence but McNeil who should be nowhere near the team starts ahead of him which is ridiculous.

27 Jan 2026 19:49:01
I think Barry's touch is sometimes good, sometimes bad, just like lots of young footballers. He's getting better every time out there and has shown good link up play at times. His biggest problem is he gets terrible service.

His 5 goals from 3.81 xg shows he's actually been more productive than expected with the chances he's been given. If we had a functional offense that could get him more opportunities, he might really shine.

27 Jan 2026 22:39:22
Dibling is 19. In 4 years when he is 23 he’ll be class. Barry is 23 and in 4 years will be playing for Doncaster.

28 Jan 2026 18:32:40
Ginger, I definitely don’t consider anyone on that list as our main striker, that just shows how bad the recruitment on strikers have been since Lakaku left us, DCL definitely.

26 Jan 2026 11:15:06
Rumours Armstrong going out on loan. I'm in 2 minds with this, don't want him sitting on the bench getting fed up n leave. But think we need numbers here we're short on players!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2026 12:11:51
Never mind sitting on the bench he's earned his place.

26 Jan 2026 13:28:25
He’s one of the main players on n my opinion now - god knows how they could loan him out and bring in Dibling - he’s the one who needs to go out on loan

3 points tonight - x2 players in next week and 3 points vs Brighton.

26 Jan 2026 14:14:11
Should be the first name on team sheet.

26 Jan 2026 14:19:32
After Pickford, Ndiaye and KDH.

26 Jan 2026 15:31:35
Jimmy Garner raging reading this before kick off. Hopefully he belts a FK top corner as a result.

26 Jan 2026 16:23:52
Well done BN1878 I was waiting for someone to spot my deliberate error hahaha.

26 Jan 2026 17:41:07
Where did that rumour come from. Armstrong is in most opinion a certainty for 1st 11.

25 Jan 2026 23:14:45
Mykolenko and 30m for Robinson and Wilson.

{Ed025's Note - bite their arm off..

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jan 2026 07:48:16
I like that mate.

26 Jan 2026 10:48:00
A super high quality player like Harry Wilson then surely Everton have got too be seriously interested, especially when he’s from the area, he would be a massive asset to the club, no brainier.

{Ed025's Note - i do like Wilson Uran but we already have some really good players who play like him in Ndaiye, Jack, jimmy and KDH, yes i would have him but maybe a striker and right back should be the priority mate..

26 Jan 2026 11:22:11
I think something he offers which the others don't is goals outside the box Ed and quality on set-pieces. He is out of contract in the summer. If we don't get him now, I imagine he will go elsewhere on a free. Definitely agree on the priorities though. RB has got to happen surely.

{Ed025's Note - as i say i would like him BN but i just think we have bigger issues to resolve as well mate..

26 Jan 2026 13:40:46
Simple get him in, quality player.

25 Jan 2026 12:29:53
Harry Wilson still being linked with us from Fulham.

Agree3 Disagree0

25 Jan 2026 13:32:14
Would take him any day. Good player, good attitude and scores goals.

25 Jan 2026 15:09:11
And me mate.

25 Jan 2026 17:44:14
Posted this as a suggestion back in September time but Ed said he has issues with the other side of his game and attitude was questioned at Liverpool and his earlier days at Fulham.

25 Jan 2026 17:51:57
Dirty kopite! Nah I'm joking, I rate him, he'd be a good addition to the squad.

25 Jan 2026 21:54:46
Just wit we need. Right winger, 28, Premier league experience, would be a good signing.

26 Jan 2026 07:52:11
Hes probably trying to get a new contract, so the agent is banding other clubs names about. Watch out for Tete gate 2.

25 Jan 2026 12:10:13
£15 million being offered for Tim I am reading this morning.

Agree1 Disagree0

25 Jan 2026 14:11:06
Who off GB?

25 Jan 2026 14:43:48
Lazio mate.

25 Jan 2026 17:51:58
We are supposed to be interested in Gabriel Sara a winger who plays for Galatasary.

26 Jan 2026 07:42:12
I would keep Tim, he will only get better, unless they have someone much better lined up.
