If Costa is (a) excited to come play for us and (b) wanted by Brands and Silva not just Moshiri, I'm all for it. I trust if (b) is true, Brands and Silva will make sure (a) is also true before signing him. If he is coming for the paycheck, I'm against it. And, if he's coming to be a trophy signing, I'm very against it.

I have no interest in Vardy. He's older than Costa and doesn't have nearly the upside as Costa. Plus Vardy's skills (e. g. speed) are the ones that go with age whereas Costa's power and nose for the goal stick around a bit longer.

I'm still dreaming of Moise Kean. And, if not, then another young gun up top. Or, just letting DCL continue to improve along with Richarlison and add on the right wing instead (although in addition to is preferable) .

Why are you on an Everton rumours site if you don't want to hear the rumours?

Right. Why even watch the game? Just look at the newspaper. No wait, that would be incredibly boring. Doing good business in the windows is a major part of what leads to the team's success. I see no reason why how much players are bought and sold for shouldn't concern supporters. It's incredibly important.

If there's any chance, it's as a loan.

I think we have an outside shot at Neres. The rumour mill keeps saying that we are in the lead. If we're willing to pay the most, he's a young kid and the Premier League is enough of a jump up for him for now. And, there are other Brazilians in our squad to talk up the project and get him interested. That said, I think the most likely outcome is that Ajax keeps him for another year. They'll have cashed in a couple chips after De Ligt goes and won't need to sell now, especially since they still have a strong team and CL football of their own next season.
