Minteh stories hotting up, hope we can get him.

I've never seen him play, what kind of player is he GB? I'm guessing he's pretty good given your enthusiasm?

23 Jun 2024 12:25:23
He’s quick mate would take him any day, young lad with enthusiasm just what Sean needs to start building a new Team.

23 Jun 2024 12:32:18
I just read he very very quick and is abit like Forrest Gump and doesn't stop running a game against ajax he ran twice as many sprints as anyone else on the pitch, and has a good goal and assist record for his age, I think he would be a fantastic option for us.

23 Jun 2024 12:34:41
Never heard of him?

23 Jun 2024 13:05:17
Has anyone actually seen him play? Quick, young and enthusiastic, haven't we got one of them who we are letting Villa hav.

23 Jun 2024 18:18:21
Hes a centre mid that moved up from CD. Dobbin is a wide forward who would suit a 433 which we aren't ever going to play under Dyche.
Personally I don't think Dobbin is prem standard. Is the Villa guy? Who knows but if he is then we have got the better deal.

I for one will be so glad to see the back of DCL let's get a new young and hungry forward in to replace the sick note.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jun 2024 22:42:59
Do you think he wanted to be injured and miss so many games for us and see his chances of playing for England evaporate?

I hate the way some of our "fans" talk about players. He's always tried his best on the pitch and off it has should gratitude for what he's been given in the way he talks about the club and applied himself to its community.

I give up honestly.

22 Jun 2024 23:17:10
I got told it was mental health issues with DCL more than body injuries? Not a clinical finisher but has scored some important goals for us and I do hope we keep him he loves the club and is a hand full. who else we going to get chris wood or weghorst.

22 Jun 2024 23:53:13
Not to mention, BJU, some important goals that helped us to maintain our Premier league status but some will ignore that to suit their own agenda mate.

23 Jun 2024 00:28:46
I’m with you BlueJohn, he picked up most of his injuries putting himself about for our club and you can see what it means to him to score a goal for Everton. Wouldn’t blame him for moving on with the stick he gets. We’ve far worse players than Dom that we should be looking to move on. The fact that Newcastle are keen should tell the fans something about how good he can be.

23 Jun 2024 03:02:27
In the last 3 seasons he's played 66 games and scored 14 goals. Whether he loves the club or not isn't an issue, his strike rate is. simply not good enough if we want to start climbing the table.

He may well score more goals at Newcastle with more creative players around him but that's not us atm.

23 Jun 2024 08:41:25
So we’re looking for a number 9 that can score 15 goals a season without a decent number 10 or wingers that can beat their fullback and get a cross in?

23 Jun 2024 10:03:12
Maybe we can finally get rid of the 1 up front system that kills our team every season.

23 Jun 2024 10:23:58
So blue John would you like us to buy an injury prone striker who's goals per game strike record is not the best but tried his best?
This is type of attitude is what's holding us back.

23 Jun 2024 12:27:30
Have to agree Skylark you hit the nail on the head mate, we need 5 or 6 new players and Sean has started recruiting early.

23 Jun 2024 14:28:37
Buy no and sell yes. Although my reason for selling is due to the contract he has.

My problem is the disdain people have towards our players simply for putting their body on the line. He's had abuse for his injuries, his taste in clothes and called kinds by his own fans, especially over the last three years.

Personally though I think Newcastle or anyone else will be getting an excellent CF. The narrow view of goals neglects his around link up play and how good he holds the ball, brining others into the game. But his contract situation means we must sell unless he signs.

£35 million being quoted as the asking price for DCL, we get any where near that it would be good business we can invest the money in younger players.

22 Jun 2024 18:58:31
That Adam hozlek for Czech Republic looks a good player up front. I'm sure we were interested before bit probs out our price range.

22 Jun 2024 19:14:56
Sean looking to finally change our Team around with new youngsters coming in, going to be an exciting window mate.

22 Jun 2024 19:42:03
GB do you genuinely believe that the players we have signed and are linked with are dyche signings?

Personally think this is Thelwell making these decisions.

22 Jun 2024 20:12:57
He’s our manager good so yeah he has a say in who we bring in mate.

22 Jun 2024 22:41:40
I’ wouldn’t be surprised if, it being Everton, that the DOF is told by the manager to get someone in and we end up with the 4th or 5th choice on the list….

22 Jun 2024 14:24:06
With DCL maybe we need the cash for FFP, if so would sooner he and Onana and others go go as long as we keep JB, and then get some youth into the Team for rebuilding.

If what I'm reading is true and turns out to happen, we've done well. Selling Calvert lewin who let's remember went 20 games without a goal and I've never seen him score a great goal, some good headers but not a top class forward, if we were to sell him and dobbin and bring in minteh from Newcastle and Harrison and have Harrison on his natural left side, Mcniel in the ten and Minteh on the right and get the adebayo or Abraham upfront sorry but I think it's a much better team with players in more natural positions. I know the Ed's are saying we don't play attractive football but I don't Dyche will be the man for the first game at Bramley Moore he will get this year whilst Friedkin understands what needs to be done.

Good post mate some very shrewd moves going on at the Club, looking forward to this window I can see we will have a very different Team for the start of the coming season, exciting times.

22 Jun 2024 17:45:44
Couldn't agree more mate. I am yet to see him curl a ball or lace one. I am not even sure if he can. Great in the air but he needs a partner. Him and Isak could work like magic but we don't have the players to get the best out of him.

Would rather have Harrison battle it out for the left wing with McNeil tbh. That will make both of their levels go up.

Then we can go and get a player who can play in tight spaces, is comfortable going either way and has a decent bit of vision e. g. Hamer from Sheff.

22 Jun 2024 18:40:08
Minteh seems a good player looks like we have a chance to get him, this is the start of big turn around in our Team, can’t come quick enough.

22 Jun 2024 23:24:16
My pal who is a Leeds fan said harrison played were he wanted across the pitch and wasn't a left or right winger ???????? because i said he was s. t on the right.

22 Jun 2024 12:21:52
Ed's hope you are well.

We are at risk of breaching again, albeit, this time by a smaller amount.

Is it reasonable for us to lean on the fact that the 2 previous point deductions have cost us an extra 12/ 15 million in higher PL prize money and if the deductions were not in play, then we could have avoided a third breach?

Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Everton need to make significant sales by the end of the month. The lost prize money is only £6.3M.}

22 Jun 2024 13:07:45
I guess Dobbin, DCL, Onana and JB could all go next week….

22 Jun 2024 13:08:15
It is, essentially, both a sporting and financial penalty that we faced as any points deduction will lead to a loss in revenue. Anyway, we know where we stand with FFP and it seems that the club are looking to make the deals that will ensure no points deduction next season. Then, from July 1st, we have to hope there’s a clear strategy in place to improve the squad as it’s light in quality, depth, speed etc.

22 Jun 2024 13:59:04
Don’t think JB was ever going to go this season unless we got silly money for him.

22 Jun 2024 14:30:03
If we are in such dire circumstances with FFP why have we just signed a player? Makes no sense whatsoever. I'm not worried over this at all.

If it was on such a knife edge with no plan we simply would have signed Tim on th 1st July.

21 Jun 2024 18:25:04
Any idea on how much we are getting for young Dobbin?

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jun 2024 20:08:18
85m and they are getting 85m for Tim Iggy. That should sort both of our ffp problems out :)

21 Jun 2024 16:39:39
Are we allowed to believe it might just be ok again.
