If the Hammers stick to their guns saying Bowen is not got sake, then maybe our lazy recruitment team will get off their lazy backsides and do some real scouting, instead of just looking for the easy ride of well established player heading towards the pinicale of their careers, instead of trying to unearth young gems who can grow with the club.
Regardless, many future potential selling value down eline should they progress enough.

Was just reading that West Ham are favourites in front of us and Fulham for this striker Dju that a few have mentioned on here? Never seen the lad play. His scoring record looks decent, but is he a Championship player or another Barry. ?
03 Jul 2026 18:30:57
The only reason there'd be ahead of us is if we weren't really that bothered. West Ham are a club with the worst owners ever! Even the chicken guys from Blackburn were better than that shower. They will never be ahead of our club even with our recruitment team.
03 Jul 2026 19:07:13
A 29-year-old Bowen is far from too old and isn't laziness from the recruitment team. He would be a top player if available and we bought him.
03 Jul 2026 23:00:43
Don't know that Forest guy takes some beating.
04 Jul 2026 10:55:30
Yeah, very true, Bmd. ?
03 Jul 2026 15:22:01
We have bought one player, at a moderate price, so step in the right direction, but now it seems we are being prevented from further improvement by some intervention from officials the league or FA.
Givern what some clubs have already spent, this seems crazy.so can any ed explained what the problem is, please.
{Ed025's Note - its not a good idea to get involved in the money side AB, only the top brass know the real situation mate the rest is just speculation..

As far as I can see, there isn't a problem, just that PSR has changed to within your means, hence Spurs lashing out the dosh.
03 Jul 2026 16:03:14
I have read an article on the subject Always Blues seems to be upset about, but it is referring to the PSR which no longer exists. Replaced by the Premier League's Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) rules. Starting in the 2026/27 season, clubs will be restricted to spending a maximum of 85% of their total revenue on player and manager wages, amortized transfer fees, and agent fees.
03 Jul 2026 16:47:05
Does that include City, Chelsea exetra.
03 Jul 2026 18:33:24
No RonMac, of course it doesn't. ?
03 Jul 2026 18:59:29
Yes, of course. What is their income v ours. Spurs are getting there because of their Stadium. Our owners bought us because of our Stadium. Things are moving quite quickly. Another 2 years, we will see the financial clout build.
03 Jul 2026 22:23:07
The whole system is a farce. Keep the rich, richer and the poor, poorer..

England players are being allowed to take Viagra for their game against Mexico, apparently it helps with the high altitude. Tuchel said it should stop the close marking and give them all a great chance to make the semi's.

Don't tackle from behind.

Hope none are offside because of a stiffy lol imagine VAR with that call to make. ? ? ?

That ship has sailed. ???

One thing this World Cup has made very clear is there is a real lack of great full backs in world football.
I worry we will have to spend a lot of money just to get average.

Totally agree, EFC. I said something similar the other day. We have desperately needed a decent RB for some time now, and, if we are to progress, it is arguably the most important position we need to fill.
We have now got to be prepared to pay a sizeable fee in order to get the right player in, as they seem to be few and far between at the moment.
03 Jul 2026 15:34:44
For where we are, I wouldn't be against Wan Bissaka for the right price. Solid defender, and how Moyes sets up would fit straight in. He isn't gonna buy someone who bombs forward, we all know that, because he is safety 1st. My favourite RB in Premier League is Munoz at Palace, but we ain't gonna be signing him anytime soon.
{Ed025's Note - i like him as well Ron..
02 Jul 2026 22:38:40
I think we will see Gana, Tim and Charlie leave this summer.
Hackney already in and then a decent 6. With Jimmy and KDH already there, I think that gives us a very good midfield.
When is this RB coming in though?

Forgot about Merlin the wizard as well actually.
03 Jul 2026 06:10:06
If they don't get an RB, I'd be amazed. Should be first through the door.
03 Jul 2026 06:57:21
Don't know about Iroegbunam or Alcaraz, but Gueye is not currently an Everton player.
03 Jul 2026 09:30:27
Would get Richard Rios in if we get rid of Tim, Gana and Alcaraz.
03 Jul 2026 09:36:53
Saw that, Dev, and would be right behind it too, mate. Was hopeful whilst he was still at Palmeiras, and before he went to Benfica.
Can't see him coming to us without Europe though. I believe he is keen on Napoli, and they are very keen on him.
It is weird that he hasn't started a game in the WC for Colombia though.
03 Jul 2026 10:15:46
I'd keep Tim, think we need a squad not a team, yes bring in a starter but Tim is getting better and better each season, Charlie, Gueye and O'Neil. I'd get rid, along with Kean if rumours of Stone coming back are true. I know he's been given a new extended contract but we wouldn't need 5 central defenders.
03 Jul 2026 15:37:22
Do we have a 1 year extension clause with Tim, anyone???? Free transfer nxt summer I believe.
02 Jul 2026 21:50:58
Hackney needs a few bowls of Scouse in him.

{Ed025's Note - im a beetroot man myself Benny..

Why not both?
02 Jul 2026 18:50:02
Brobby valued at £34 million. Got to be a mistake. More worth upwards of £50 mill.

I'd take him, even at 50, holds the ball up, brings in other players, and scores goals. So no more bargain basement striker, you get what you pay for.
03 Jul 2026 15:55:06
I agree.
02 Jul 2026 18:33:08
1st new signing completed and a few on here not happy about it. Each to there own I guess I'm looking forward to watching him. And watched Wan Bissaka this World Cup and could see Moyes going for him. He isn't the best but is a solid RB. Did Moyes sign him for West Ham? Does anyone know.

Who aren't happy.
02 Jul 2026 20:42:58
Scrolling through Ronmac can't see anyone not happy with Hackney signing. You alright, mate.
02 Jul 2026 21:38:55
I'm fine, thanks, there are a few on the other page.
03 Jul 2026 14:58:58
My apologies, guys, I think I have misread other comments. All happy with us signing Hackney. ???
02 Jul 2026 12:11:37
Refreshing to hear the reason Hackney joined us was because of DM and his ability to turn Championship players into Premiership ones.

They all say that GB, this lad is a quality player though. Watched him 3 times last season, he was impressive in all games.
02 Jul 2026 12:54:15
Yep we have a gem here mate.
02 Jul 2026 16:11:12
I don't believe that he would say that Moyes is an old fashioned manager who keeps young players on the bench.
02 Jul 2026 16:27:03
He was asked directly the question on Moyes. He's got the new shirt on his back and a camera in his face. Now, he might mean what he said, or he might answer for the camera. But, to be fair to Moyes, would he have signed if he thought of him the way some of us supporters do?
02 Jul 2026 18:12:28
I'm not a Moyes fan but I would love the man if he gave me a five year contract and 80k a week.
02 Jul 2026 18:42:54
Only 80k a week, somebody played a blinder.
02 Jul 2026 19:13:46
Says he likes to arrive late in the box! Very Cahillesque, at the excitement continue all season.
02 Jul 2026 22:18:40
We have 2 strikers who do that. Too late mostly. ?
03 Jul 2026 06:12:09
I think that's the money talking, GB.
He chose us as he's got a better chance of playing, he'll be getting a pretty penny and it's not as far from home as London or East Midlands.
