Dentie it might have been you mate but someone was definitely suggesting we moved for Milosavljevic from Red Star in the summer.
Look how well the lad is doing already at Bournemouth and proving that age doesn't mean squat if you are good enough.

18 yrs exactly what I have been saying BN mate.
30 Oct 2025 12:44:01
Brobbey and Mayenda from Sunderland under 21s being looked at apparently.
30 Oct 2025 21:20:16
Yeah was me BlueNose. He looked a Vidic type centre half. Big bugger for an 18yr old. I like the look of that Nice centre back we have been linked with though.
30 Oct 2025 21:37:17
Too right GB.
I think it will be silly if we were to go for Brobbey now though. He was available to us at Ajax, so would be a sign of poor planning to me mate and likely to cost more money than he would have before moving to the Mackems.
Mayenda is young and good attributes but we have already spunked enough on shoots of potential. I would rather us go for somebody more seasoned and with a history of scoring goals mate.
Should have got Burkardt in years ago and before he moved onto Frankfurt. No way they let him go for cheap as they are always hard negotiators and don't think he is the Moyes profile of striker.
Romulo Cardoso at Leipzig looks quality. Big and powerful. Holds the ball up brilliantly and links up play well. Can stick he ball in the onion bag too but I doubt we will be of interest to him with him now being their main no9, bigger clubs will be sniffing, so we should go after Asllani at Hoffenheim. Maybe chuck them Beto and Barry whilst we are at it mate!
30 Oct 2025 09:49:24
Not sure how the game is going to go this weekend. Sunderland have done brilliantly since they came up.
I remember my last trip there, we got absolutely battered all game and then Tim burst the onion bag with a great header from a Kevin Kilbane cross in injury time.
What a great trip home it was on New Years Eve.

A reaction is required for sure. The feel good factor from the first few weeks of the season is being well and truly tested and there’s only one way to get fans back on side.
30 Oct 2025 11:26:05
Good game that.
30 Oct 2025 14:45:11
Certainly need a reaction and a change of line up, sadly I doubt if we see a change of lineup apart from B for B.
30 Oct 2025 18:37:34
Bad and Bad feeling sad?.

So glad we didn't get Liam Delap. What an absolute bellend that lad is.

30 Oct 2025 07:46:36
Don’t be daft, he’d walk into our team. Chelsea are very welcome to loan him to us in January.
30 Oct 2025 08:43:49
He even managed to get sent off.
30 Oct 2025 11:25:43
Some of the best players to ever play the game got sent off regularly. Zidane, Cantona, Keane, Viera etc. He’s a young lad who’s desperate to prove himself.
30 Oct 2025 12:16:59
He is a bully and a prick. James Beattie mark 2. Could not support someone like that. Did you watch him against Wolves last night?
30 Oct 2025 12:18:18
And Keane was scum too JB.
30 Oct 2025 12:35:34
I would have loved Keane in our midfield.
30 Oct 2025 13:12:01
Didn’t support Dunc then, Comet?
Keane would have walked into any team and been adored by their fans.
30 Oct 2025 17:57:19
Big Dunc is actually my favourite player, however if he was playing today I wouldn’t support his antics. Funny how you mellow when you get older - or go to school with James Beattie.
29 Oct 2025 13:16:49
Bloke next to me has a pop every home game, referees' a prat, Moyes has no clue etc! He would swap the Ref at the drop of a hat; but not Moyes. Question: Who would the Moyes out brigade choose to replace him? More to the point who would come. We will not get relegated, we will finish top ten/ not far off.

29 Oct 2025 13:55:56
I'm not a Moyes fan and admit it. I prefer to think "where will we be in 5 years under Moyes", as apposed to "where could we be in 5 years if we had gone for a manager that lesser clubs have and are now doing better than us".
You are correct on your first point, we won't be relegated, but I think wrong on your second point, we won't be top 10. But what do I know. I have more success forecasting horses.
29 Oct 2025 14:20:21
Until January apart from changing the Team at the front or bringing in an under 21 things will stay the same with Beto and Barry up front, Davey is the best man for the job.
29 Oct 2025 14:22:21
I'd rather have Mike Bassett than Moyes.
29 Oct 2025 18:24:32
Whenever people mention changing the manager the standard reply is always who would come. Well I believe plenty would be interested. We have a new ground, have new owners who have shown they are keen to invest and can pay top wages for the right man.
And football managers are just like the rest of us money talks.
Some have mentioned the Bourmouth manager and questioned why would he come to us. Well we would pay him more, give him a healthy transfer budget, and have far more potential going forward.
29 Oct 2025 19:50:53
Big Reg it takes all sorts.
29 Oct 2025 19:52:36
Moyes is best man for the job at the moment cut him some slack let’s not start binning managers again because we hit some poor form.
29 Oct 2025 20:24:04
Always liked the look of Iraola’s teams since they beat us 3-2 the other season.
I feel Moyes is still the man for the job but it’s so frustrating that he doesn’t have the ability to change tactics when we need it and stubbornly sticks to what his one system is. If you don’t have the players for that system, you have to adapt. Moyes seems to prefer sticking to swapping like for like despite some players having no impact.
29 Oct 2025 21:52:07
Iraola is heading to bigger places than Everton.
I also don’t see how we have far more potential going forward, Bournemouth have a better team than us, a young squad, they will likely lose Semenyo in the summer and they’ll probably replace him well. They lost most of their defence in the summer and replaced them just as well.
It’s an absurd arrogance with some Everton fans that we are looked at as a giant of football by everyone. We have some old players, financially we’ve had troubles and cannot freely spend what we like, a new stadium that is usually very quiet and our best players will be picked off over the next 2 years and, unlike Bournemouth or Brighton, we are not well run enough to replace them and will likely buy worse in return.
If Iraola did anything more than laugh at us coming in for him, I’d be amazed. Slot will be getting sacked soon and if someone has a choice between us and them, unless you’re an Evertonian, you’ll pick them.
29 Oct 2025 22:37:31
Full of positivity then Swan.
30 Oct 2025 01:16:14
But what did I say that was wrong? Right now Bournemouth are far better than us and Liverpool are a more attractive job than Everton are.
30 Oct 2025 08:37:24
Can’t understand why a minority of supporters are wanting Moyes out, he has turned the club around after the destruction of Dyche, we would of been relegated, his passion for the club saved us from the drop, He knows, we know, everyone with a brain cell knows what’s needed in the January window, if he gets what he wants then a top 6 could be possible, at least not fighting relegation.
30 Oct 2025 10:24:47
You people were saying the same about Dyche and look were that ended up.
30 Oct 2025 11:27:25
At least we stayed up mate.
30 Oct 2025 12:39:06
Yes and the same was said when Dyche kept us up GB. So are we just happy with managers who “just keep us up” or do we actually want one who can develop a side to compete at the top end of the table?
30 Oct 2025 14:26:24
What are people’s thoughts on Glasner?
I’m not saying we get rid of Moyes as we need the stabilit. But if things did go Pete Tong, would he be a good fit? I’d still prefer Iraola but I agree he will likely be waiting for a top Euro side.

Yep another cock up by dithering Dave. If nothing else it would have added a big more cash to the pot.
29 Oct 2025 18:34:22
And the 11 players that actually played the game.
29 Oct 2025 19:18:42
Who Davey selected.
29 Oct 2025 22:33:40
And Moyes tactics.
29 Oct 2025 09:23:08
Truth be known, the formation we may see on paper for (most) teams is not adhered to in the game. Of the two, Beto and Barry it is the latter that would be better in a flexible system. Problem being of course neither Beto (current form) nor Barry are good enough at this level.
As such I cannot see the disadvantage in leaving both out of a starting 11. Let's see if David now thinks the same.

29 Oct 2025 09:47:03
From what we’ve seen, Alcaraz is decent in the air, and certainly more adept at linking up with Jack, Ndayie and KDH, has to be worth a go.
29 Oct 2025 11:29:24
Agree JB, we can’t keep playing Beto or Barry.
29 Oct 2025 12:17:43
Well David has not shown any inclination over his whole career to make such a radical move. I expect Barry to start next game and the merry go around will continue until the January window when hopefully we will get a striker who can strike.
29 Oct 2025 12:44:35
I am willing to bet Rohl could do the job up front as athletic as he is.
29 Oct 2025 12:45:28
He is more mobile than Beto.
30 Oct 2025 12:43:17
Rohl can't even get in to the team in midfield, Moyes would never play him as a striker. Beto/ Barry, Barry/ Beto and that's it. He doesn't have the imagination to try anything different.
28 Oct 2025 19:18:06
Do any teams actually play 2 strikers together anymore? Would be interesting and I would welcome it back. and since long balls and long throws have come back in fashion this season instead of possession football everyone was trying to play.
would give opposition managers something to think about. Come on DM give it ago against Sunderland can't do any worse. and I'm not saying dyche ball it all the time because we do have some decent players given space will pick a decent pass.

28 Oct 2025 12:47:48
We all seem to agree that playing either Beto or Barry as lone strikers is not the answer. So when playing at home how about playing them both. Madness I know but one thing we do seem to be good at is getting the ball into the box.
So play 4-4-2.
Garner-o'Brien-Keane-Aznou
Ndiaye-KDH-Rohl-Grealish
Barry-Beto
Yes I know it's madness but have to try something different, let's face it the formation we are using right now just isn't working.
Fire away.

28 Oct 2025 13:11:06
I’d be ok with that BMD, at least it would demonstrate a willingness to adopt a plan B.
28 Oct 2025 15:25:31
Agree anything to try something different.
28 Oct 2025 16:02:48
4-3-3
Pickford
Garner O’Brien Keane Aznou
Gueye Rohl Alcaraz
N’Diaye Barry Grealish
Beto won’t score, Barry might not either but he’s young and better on the ball than Beto, so give him games, don’t have anyone else. Let Alcaraz support him, which will give Grealish and N’Diaye more space as teams won’t be able to double up on them as easily. Garner and Aznou will overlap, giving them even more support. Gueye can sit and Rohl can be up and down.
When N’Diaye and Gueye go to AFCON, bring in KDH and Dibling.
If we line up with a 4-2-3-1 with Mykolenko and J’OB at full back against Sunderland, then I’ll lose faith with this manager, because it doesn’t work.
In January, get a striker on loan and try to buy a long term right back. Get rid of Mykolenko, Patterson if you can.
{Ed025's Note - Aznou and Barry are not quite prem ready according to the manager Swan, they are like a 10 Kilo piece of beef on a pilot light mate..
28 Oct 2025 16:25:55
Trouble is that side would very quickly fall into a 4-2-3-1 formation so no change from what we are doing now. The idea was to have two strikers as one doesn’t work. It doesn’t work now it didn’t work with DCL as a lone striker, and never worked with players before them.
In fact if you think about it our most successful period came when we played two strikers in Gray and Sharp.
Now obviously these two aren’t to that standard but as a pair they just might have some success. Don’t try it and you will never know.
{Ed025's Note - i do like the idea of a double act up front DMS, Liverpool had Keegan and Toshack, United had Yorke and Cole, unfortunately we have the modern day...Laurel and Hardy mate..
28 Oct 2025 16:28:15
More like slow cooker Ed mate.
28 Oct 2025 17:08:33
I like the idea and it would be entertaining watching Beto and Barry crashing into each other every five minutes.
Seriously though we do get a lot of balls into the box and having two strikers would double the chances of one of them getting on the end of a cross.
Just maybe not these two eh. How about Ndiaye and Barry or Beto with Dibbling coming in on the right.
29 Oct 2025 13:07:54
That is an insult to Stan and Oliver (two of yhe greatest) For a start Oliver was lighter on his feet.
28 Oct 2025 08:10:04
I actually think have two strikers with we can term as B&B is wholly appropriate for us as even though watching either or both don't relax you their performances so far this season can send you to sleep ?????.

My best hope now, is that TFG, run out of paychence, recognise their mistake of not saying thank you to Moyes for stearing us clear from the drop, gave him a nice golden hand shake, and said goodbye.
His CV, been manager at Everton, man united and w/ ham and in a 20 plus career has won burger all of any significance, and yes he won the losers cup at w/ ham, but for a 20 year career has nothing to show for it, still not beaten any of the top sides.

Thank Christ someone on this site with a bit of sence who thinks the same as me and every other blue that I watch the game with every week.
27 Oct 2025 23:50:24
And get who?
28 Oct 2025 01:56:48
Who do we replace him with? People saying “get the Bournemouth manager”, it’s so arrogant. Why would he leave them to come here?
I am genuinely terrified to hear some of the suggestions, Ange? Martinez? Rodgers?
28 Oct 2025 04:47:28
Played golf with a season ticket holder yesterday. Doesn’t think Moyes should go. Thinks Everton fans are very hard to please and that the minority peddle their opinions as the obvious view that everyone should agree with. We were all happy with the start we made to the season.
The last few games have not been as good. Any illusions fans had of top 6 with this squad were premature. One window and we have a better squad than we had before. We’ll need a couple more.
28 Oct 2025 05:19:16

28 Oct 2025 06:57:33
? Some of the most successful people in the world can't spell, stupid statement.
28 Oct 2025 07:11:16
I am a season ticket holder and Moyes is crap and should have gone at the end of the season. Anyone who thought top 6 with that defence and forward line is nuts. Not getting atleast 2 fullbacks and a decent striker was an absolute joke. By the way no one I know wanted Moyes anywhere near the club.
28 Oct 2025 08:00:42
Two words: West Ham.
28 Oct 2025 09:04:39
Moyes needs to stay definitely, he only needs to fix a few positions, hopefully this will be sorted in the January window, talk of replacing him is ridiculous.
28 Oct 2025 09:25:03
Well, sounds like we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one lads. It would be good to see some variation in tactics, but I’d say we’re watching better football than last season. I’m going to reserve judgement until January where we’ll need to sign a few as others have said.
28 Oct 2025 11:09:55
It’s fine saying we just need to sign a couple of players but when we do we then need to play them. This is the problem we keep playing the same players and expect a different result. While new signings are sitting on the bench why? Moyes says there not ready. Ready for what, the ones he’s playing don’t look bloody ready .
28 Oct 2025 11:57:39

28 Oct 2025 12:27:23
I don't know why I bothered answering you to be honest.
28 Oct 2025 12:46:16
????.
28 Oct 2025 13:34:47
I think we are better than last season JB but the benchmark isn't really that high mate.
I am by no means calling for Moyes to go because I had this season down as a write-off and was fully aware at how s**** some of the players in this team are.
Pickford, JB, Gueye (age) , Garner, Rohl, Charlie, KDH, Grealish, Ndiaye and Dibling are the only players that should stay/ be in with a shout of the first 11. Everyone else needs to be gutted or demoted to the bench.
We should be a little higher in the table imo with the team that we have, so in that case Moyes is underperforming. That being said he always started the first half of the season slow and always seemed to pick up after Christmas.
The players he has to use are dreadful, so I won't blame Moyes for everything but his setups, his choices of 11, his inability to change the game in approach or personnel are definitely there to be scrutinised.
Moyes is good enough to achieve what we should achieve this season but he isn't good enough to move us forward and over achieve. The game has moved on from the type of manager that he is. You need a plan A, B, C and D to win matches in the PL now. The more footage that is out there on us, the easier we are to play against and to beat.
I would like him to get us to January, see if we can fix some problem positions - both fullbacks, a striker and a no 10 all need attention. Getting 2 or 3 out of the 4 should be achievable if the work to identify has started now. January is notoriously difficult to get players in but if we can't get the top targets, we should be able to move down the list a few times and still improve the shower we have in those positions.
If we can get to summer in a healthy position 9th-12th, coupled with the new stadium, decent training ground facilities, fanbase etc, we should be able to attract better players and be able to sell them (I hate this term) "project".
We can then try and kick on with a new manager and get into the European spots and have some fun in some obscure countries again.
28 Oct 2025 16:31:59
Another season of transition, a new manager in that did well with what he inherited last season and a vast amount of new players in and some out. What were some of you really expecting? We all knew that this would take a couple of windows to sort yet quite a few seem ready to pull the trigger without a second thought. I think we've been down that road far too many times in the last few years and, at this moment in time, it's stability that we need in order to be able to move forward.
It's no secret that we need at least one, probably two, new forwards as the current two aren't up to scratch. Barry needs time, and games, beto is just beto, absolutely nothing needs to be said that we all don't already know about him.
Get what we can for him in January and utilise the loan market next window. Both full back positions need strengthening too.
For me, the fact that our forwards can't finish their dinner is a massive part of our current woes. I've lost count of the times that they've been in good positions, mainly beto, fluffed their lines and then we find ourselves a goal or two down. Their lack of goals invites pressure and has been our biggest problem this season. Rectify that in the next window and things don't look as bleak.
{Ed025's Note - we know it will take a bit of time to get where we want to BP, im not expecting miracles mate but a little 3 card trick every now and then to mix things up would be nice...oh and make the forwards disappear as well.. :)
29 Oct 2025 17:40:08
If we’d got someone like Woltemade we’d be a different team I think.
