According to the rumours mill man utd are interested in buying it, but won't be held to ransom over the price :)

Yes Wolf we need to Ride (it) out. ??.
13 Jun 2024 15:11:07
Utd can't afford him without selling players first.

Hi admins/ Everton supporters/ everybody on here! "Long time listener, first time caller"!
Feeling partly responsible for the pain (and occasional joy! ) the club brings us all - one of my relatives was part of the group that started St Domingo's - what is the best case scenario for our club in terms of ownership? I know lots of questions have come and gone on this topic, but with the parties interested, I would think there is a unanimous "front runner" when it comes to having a genuine interest in the club, track record for wise financial investments (in and out of football) and ability to sort our debts out to what could ALMOST be considered a fresh start?
Thank you I'm advance and sincere apologies for any repeated answers!

I think the most important as I understand it is to restructure our debt so the club can function competetively in the short and medium term.
With the rest, it sounds fairly obvious but sorting our recruitment, so we don't have our pants pulled down over every transfer. That alone improves our standing significantly.
I personally also believe that our youth academy should be world class. Merseyside produces a lot of good players and nowhere near enough make it in our first team, that's a disgrace for me. It should be in the clubs DNA that Everton is top destination for young players to play Premier League footie.
I think the marketing, sales and business side of things is made a whole lot easier when the product on the pitch is great.
Man Utd didn't become as big as they are because of marketing, it was winning football first and foremost.

I think they should give Dorris a pay rise so she can get a new trolley to serve the tea and buy Biscuit the Labrador a new lead…
Anyone who can dig us out of this mess whilst maintaining our Premiership status and then build a sustainable platform for us to compete in the league and cup competitions gets my vote. Sadly, my vote counts very little (in fact - nothing) to Mr Moshiri!

Evening Ed's,
Hope you are well.
Have you any idea why we are not pursuing Ndidi, especially considering the likelihood of Onana leaving the club. Not saying he would choose us, mind, but surprises me that we aren't going after him.
He ticks a lot of boxes. Available on a free, good age, PL experience, defensively dominant. Has even added new strings to his bow this past season with the attacking elements of his game.
Cheers.
{Ed001's Note - he suffers a lot of injuries, that is why he was still at Leicester in the first place. Teams are wary of him.}

Injuries… he’d fit right in at Finch Farm’s medical room with Deli.

Ed 02
Who looks in best position to buy Everton if you can't answer it that fine.
{Ed002's Note - I have no idea who Moshiri may decide on. I can tell you, yet again, what would be best but none of it will happen overnight.}

Ye that would be great ye I understand it going to take time hopefully not 7 months but who knows.
11 Jun 2024 03:41:47
To my untrained eye Bell and Downing seem to be in pole position. Two lifelong Evertonians backed by the Dell corporation would be fantastic.
Like everyone else though, I have no idea what Moshiri will do. If he has our best interests at heart then that consortium seems the best. who knows though, maybe Ed02 can get his crystal ball out.
{Ed002's Note - MSP with Bell and Downing strikes me as the best solution for lready having experience in Sports Investment.

Time is the issue, finances are in a mess, debt is out of control. I am very worried about administration, I can’t see how we will avoid it.

Alan Hanson for me was one of the best pundits on TV and since he retired about ten years ago we have had nothing but puppets
Hope he pulls through.

Yep for sure good guy.
09 Jun 2024 19:31:44
Such terrible news. Top player. Top man.
09 Jun 2024 21:53:19
Always rated his opinion. Much better than today’s pundits on BBC. Hope he gets well soon.
10 Jun 2024 04:28:42
A true legend on the park and an honest pundit for decades. Prayers and best wishes.
10 Jun 2024 07:54:39
Agree, he pretty much re-invented what punditry was, and it's not been the same since he retired. ?? For a speedy recovery.
10 Jun 2024 08:32:32
He was my favourite after saint and greevsie.

Being reported MSP wants a quick decision from Moshiri it could be a matter of days.

Now I ask why so many bidders, it was 6 at the last count we were ages getting 777 on board and we all know how that went, I hope in my wildest dreams that whoever takes us over have Everton at heart and take us back up there with the top clubs, be itMSP, or anyone else, a new stadium a new owner what's not to get excited about i certainly am.

Why so many bidders? The stadium. Think bidders were actually waiting to see if it ever got built.
09 Jun 2024 13:37:51
All the so called in the know, I been told, trusted, and inside info journalists say we are now an attractive proposition, we’ve had the stadium on the go with no set backs monies paid for ages etc so why the new interest.
09 Jun 2024 15:20:29
People like to see the building GB not a blueprint.
09 Jun 2024 15:41:36
I imagine as Ed002 alluded to, several of these bidders are probably vultures and won’t have the clubs best interest at heart.
Just hop whomever comes in is keen to clean up the financial mess, try and get us on an even footing and start running us properly.
09 Jun 2024 16:31:05
MSP seem to be the front runner.
09 Jun 2024 21:56:22
Whoever comes in has a lot to deal with so let’s hope they are up to the job.
09 Jun 2024 08:54:04
Can feel it in my boots, exciting time ahead for us at Everton, c'mon Ed025 all these investors can't be dodgy mate.
{Ed025's Note - its not that they are dodgy GB its finding one that fits, money is the greatest evil of all mate and you can bet your bottom dollar that someone will try and rip someone off or get shafted themselves...its just the way it works, it wont be an open and shut case of offering an amount and for it to be accepted im afraid, there will be a plethora of clauses and time lines, i would love it to be as easy as most seem to think it will...but i live in the real world...and this is Everton.. :)

True words Ed. As they say it's the hope that kills ya. But I am with GB on this that we might just turn the corner have better more positive days ahead. Football as with life bud goes in cycles so let's just hope we align with the right owners and our great club starts it's road back to the top table.
{Ed025's Note - that would be great Mocker of course, im certainly more hopeful than at any time recently that we have a chance of getting the ownership sorted mate..
09 Jun 2024 11:37:53
MSP seems a good bet Ed mate, after the debacle of the 777 saga.
{Ed025's Note - im certainly glad to see the back of 777 GB, but lets not think that the new owners will be benefactors mate they will be looking to make money rather than give it away, but if we dont go into administration and get ourselves on a firm financial footing i will be delighted..
09 Jun 2024 17:17:32
Ed do premier league club owners actually make money though with the gigantic costs of running a club.
{Ed025's Note - they can do Shakey, look at the Glazers who have skimmed millions off united, and FSG the same, only they have reinvested their profit into the club and now it is worth an amazing amount, a well run club will thrive not only survive mate and thats why the money men are making moves..
09 Jun 2024 20:37:11
Well the Everton board made a pretty penny that’s for sure.
{Ed025's Note - didn,t they just Harlex..
