Hello all, I couldn't bring myself to write anything yesterday as I was to distraught. It is like having a jail sentence and everytime we are set for release they increase the sentence.
Ed, can I ask, how do you see this playing out? I understand that TFG pulled out of talks to buy Roma and then came back in months later to buy the club.
There has to be an end to this crap, why does it have to be so dificult to get a competent owner.
{Ed002's Note - The problem Friedkin has with the Everton debt is that it inludes monies owed to 777 Partners (circa £220M) via loans and a very significant debt to Moshiri (circa £450M) via shareholder loans. This is in addition to the monies owed to Metro Band and Rights & Media Publishing. There is limited money coming in and Friedkin has already loaned the club £200M to pay off the critical MSP Sports Capital debt and to allow work to continue on the stadium. Friedkin could come back in to the picture if there were additional investors willing to share the risk. One solution would be to sell the Bramley Moore Dock development to investors who could complete the work and then lease it back to the club.}

Ed, surely that would then make the benefits of having built a brand new stadium redundant.
We are a joke of a club.
I am not even upset by it anymore.
When I read the news, I sat back in my seat and laughed whilst shaking my head. It’s like an abusive relationship, in the end, it is just business as usual.
{Ed002's Note - No, it is a means to keep the club afloat and an attempt to avoid Administration.}
2.) 20 Jul 2024 19:16:51
Surely they knew all the problems when they first bid.
{Ed025's Note - things change as people start to get greedy Chris..
3.) 20 Jul 2024 15:55:08
Thanks for the reply Ed. I would imagine some due diligence was done previous to entering into negotiations.
Naively I struggle to see how they wouldn't have anticipated this before entering into talks.
Well one saving grace is on the pitch we are the most sable we have been for ages and hopefully with a few more in the door we can keep away from relegation and at least enjoy some moments in our last season at Goodison.
{Ed002's Note - Due diligence starts with full access to the accounts.}
4.) 20 Jul 2024 21:36:00
Sorry state of affairs, ed002 can you have a root down back of sofa and save us haha.
30 May 2024 13:55:18
I wonder what is going to happen tomorrow with the end of the exclusivity agreement with 777.
Will we get an announcement about alterantive buyers or just a wall of silence?
I really hope they (moshiri/ msp) have something up their sleave because all this speculation about sales, takeovers and players leaving is doing my head in.
{Ed025's Note - i think its doing all our heads in ST..

In the past i'd get frustrated with Moyes moving slow in the transfer window, but what i'd for that stability now.

When i first heard about that Alcaraz, i thought he sounded familiar as I remembered a guy from Southampton a few seasons back who looked decent. Turns out its him.
I'm pretty positive about this, and he only gets signed permanently if he meets certain criteria. Fingers crossed he hits the ground running, can't be worse than what we have.
18 Jan 2025 18:34:33
See that's Leicester's 7th loss in a row. I wonder if they would sack RVN so soon after appointing him, and apoint someone who knows the nuts and bolts of the premier league.
1.) 18 Jan 2025 20:14:15
And or the championship.
2.) 18 Jan 2025 21:09:32
It’s like Leeds the other year…. Big Sam must be rubbing his hands together waiting.
3.) 18 Jan 2025 22:02:17
Let them sign Dyche… could give us a better chance.
4.) 18 Jan 2025 22:23:10
Better than his once a month £500 for a Talk Sport phone in.
5.) 19 Jan 2025 06:49:58
Far more concerned about us and the here and now.
6.) 19 Jan 2025 10:14:53
Its the form of Ipswich and Wolves that worries me most. I literally hate having to play the “three worse teams than us” game every bloody season.
As much as it pains me to say this: Mid-table mediocrity would suffice for a couple of seasons now . as I’m worn out with the continuous nonsense!
7.) 19 Jan 2025 11:45:29
My feelings entirely Benny. Fed up to the back teeth with this constant worry. Can’t enjoy the game and should be thinking now not of relegation but leaving Goodison. This is a time for commemorating the greatest club stadium in the history of football. Yet my mind is constantly distracted by the real worry of relegation.
I hope the situation starts to improve soon so that Evertonians all over the world can start to focus on the passing of the most historic acre of grass I know of.
8.) 19 Jan 2025 13:48:26
Funnily enough I had talks**t on last night and Leicester fans were phoning in demanding dyche, if only they knew.
09 Jan 2025 02:08:04
Not sure why José Mourinho is being backed to takeover as TFG sacked him, you would think that makes him less likely.
I personally don't want him anywhere near our club. His time has gone.
There are plenty of good young coaches out there to breath new life into this club. As much as I like Iraola, i don't see why we can't recruit someone like him, instead of paying the inevitabley massive fee for him, because Bournemouth were smart and got him first.
We should be out there looking for the next one.
1.) 09 Jan 2025 07:30:09
I really like Iraola, but reckon he will be waiting for a bigger job than us anyway.
Totally agree that we should be out there finding another gem like him.
2.) 09 Jan 2025 08:35:40
Michel fMunoz from Girona would be my gamble.
3.) 09 Jan 2025 09:22:09
Good shout BN1878!
4.) 09 Jan 2025 09:50:00
Atalanta boss would be my choice. Doubt he would leave them for us though.
5.) 09 Jan 2025 13:00:18
I think Iraola is a great coach, i just hate that we almost have to let other teams scout and research managers for us, and there for pay a fortune for them later, because we have zero imagination or scope to look outside the box.
Gasperini at Atalanta is a genius, he totally transformed that them from a yo yo club to consistently challenging in europe. Their style of football is some of the best in europe.
But i think he has found his home there and can't see him joining us.
When Roma appointed Mourinho, it was completely out of the blue, he wasn't linked with them at all. So it would not surprise me if the next manager isn't even on the bookies list. Just hope it is an inspired choice that unites the fan base. Southgate, Mourinho and Moyes seem lazy, obvious links. If they have any clue about the fan base they won't touch them.
04 Jan 2025 16:59:19
Well, is going to get his marching orders now?
{Ed025's Note - hopefully Scottish..
23 Sep 2024 11:13:59
I just saw The Friedkin Group are very close to a takeover.
If, IF this happens I am going to be over the moon, finally we can beleive again. Plenty time to turn things around and be in a much better place for BMD.
We have a good enough squad, I haven't been bothered by Dyche until this season purely because I felt before he didn't have many options to change it up, but this season and his insistence on Keane and shocking subs have lost my support in him.
But with TFG, we can actúally recruit a great, progressive coach and most importantly we can get behind the team as one, all pulling in the same dirección and hopefully back to the top on English footie.

He may not be worth that, but as they wouldn't want to sell, they have some leverage.
They aren't in the best shape financially so i would imagine it would be £15m maximum. But. who knows.
21 Jan 2025 17:14:54
I agree potato, when you think of how many are out of contract for us in the summer, we really need someone with a great record on recruitment running the show. Moyes ticks that box.
No more £25m Beto's.
21 Jan 2025 16:26:03
It was Fulham. I don't mind at all, prefer Moyes has a look at some other options, ideally cheaper. I was really worried before, but after that performance on Sunday, i feel he will get way more out the current squad than they showed before.
20 Jan 2025 16:16:47
I think he will leave. Personally I am happy with that, although its a shame we couldn't get a fee for him for PSR purposes. When he is on it, he is a handful, but its few and far between.
I can't wait to sign a new, fresh, hungry striker that we can all get excited about. For me DCL is someone for the past.
16 Jan 2025 15:19:14
Agreed. Get him in.

I'm chuffed with it. Obviously frustrating when you feel we should win those games but some of the players are bang average, come the end of the summer i think we will have a really decent team to be reckoned with. No doubt Beto and others will not be first team, but the guy gives 100% all the time, and gets himself in good positions, iv no problem with him staying on, but new striker is needed.
11 Feb 2025 13:06:33
Agreed Yam Yam. Also welcome. He clearly wants a pay check, ain't going to be with us.
If we sign a good striker in the summer, which we absolutely can despite the narrative they are impossible to find. We will forget DCL was even here.
It pisses me off royally that when we have a crap psr situation, he runs down his contract. Makes out like he loves the club, but can't help us get a small fee for him.
I just want rid of these players and the sooner the better. I do think that when we sign new players on lesser contracts and they are giving us way more than this lot ever did, we will look back and go, how did these get so long at our club.
11 Feb 2025 12:24:15
As long as Moyes is their, i am far more relaxed about Thewell being there. I cannot imagine Moyes would be happy with someone else signing players for his re-build, so if KT stays i'd think its Moyes approved.
Regardless of what anyone thinks of Moyes his recruitment is generally spot on. I think come August we will be a force to be reckoned with, and with the BMD revenue next season, we will go from strenght to strength.
11 Feb 2025 12:14:51
I did wonder if Mitchell was within our grasp. I'd imagine quite a few are eyeing him up. I'd be delighted if we got him.
Everyone else on that list look appealing, Moyes loves a bargain also.
19 Jan 2025 12:55:00
3 at the back. Very happy with that, fingers crossed folks.
