Well that was the best i've felt for ages as an Evertonian. Absolutely class performance from everyone, first win at Goodison in 14 years, stopping them, a nice farewell for Jurgen.

Absolutely buzzing. Finished work 2pm (colombia time) thinking about the game all day, dreaming we could scab a point off them, one more win and safe. And then we go and put in a performance like that, chuffed to bits.

Thought DCL was fantastic all night and bossed Van Dijk and Konate. Got to mention Godfrey also who I thought didn't put a foot wrong all game.

You have to give the gaffer credita after that, 3 wins, three clean sheets. First win at Goodison over them in donkeys. get in!

Was a fantastic win mate but we need to go again at home against brentford Saturday if we can somehow beat them and luton loose am i right we are safe can only apologise if wrong.

Yeah I think a win against Brentford seals it, and we would go above them. I just hope the takeover stuff calms done, I have this romantic idea some other group will come in and run us properly, 666 give me the fear big time. But then again so does Moshiri.

If we survive and we part ways with Dyche, who do we go for? A.

Moyes.

He is everything that Dyche was supposed to be in our current predicament.

- Steady the ship.
- Good in the transfer market, particularly at the lower end of the market.
- Has his teams competing in football matches.
- Pragmatic approach playing to his teams strengths.
- Knows the club.
- Gets results.

If as I suspect, we will be run on a shoestring, then for me Graham Potter or, Eddie Howe, who in the past have proven they can work to tight budgets, while also developing young players.

3.) 19 Apr 2024 07:35:48
Potter because I doubt howe would leave Newcastle at the moment!

4.) 19 Apr 2024 08:20:52
I thought West ham was going to be moyes last job Would he want to come back and build a team again on bargain basement players and free transfers. can't believe West ham fans are moaning he won a cup last year they are in the top half again under him. i have wanted howe since he left Bournemouth. and him being a Toffee helps aswell. got to get rid of SD and his backroom staff 1st. wonder what that will cost us 6 points knowing that muppet masters who really seems to dislike us for some reason ? ?.

5.) 19 Apr 2024 08:23:31
Well not until they sack him anyway.

6.) 19 Apr 2024 14:12:29
I think Lee carsley is the moat plausible. Doubt potter would come to everton nor would moyes.

7.) 19 Apr 2024 15:18:26
It's all relative and since our last 3 or so years I'm now seeing Moyes as a dramatic step up for us. A few years back when his name was in the mic I was a firm no never. He'd understand the brief.

8.) 19 Apr 2024 16:06:37
I would take Moyes in a heartbeat if he was available. In terms of what we need at this time, he fits the bill perfectly.

I cannot see why Potter would want to join us, he is an excellent coach with a great record bar Chelsea (basket case) .

I also think with a full Pre Season Marcelo Bielsa would be an intersting one, certainly would get Goodison rocking again and we absolutely need to invest in our youth.

9.) 19 Apr 2024 16:25:08
I am very much the same FBS. With the position we now find ourselves in, I would take him back in a heartbeat. I think he would come back. He has always kept the doors open to do so and he enjoys this part of the world, much more so than London.

Potter won't come to us and Howe will be on serious dollar now he has been at Newcastle, he isn't going to drop down considerably to come to us.

Not sure how Carsley would do Witty as I know nothing about him as a manager but if he shows the same application and fight as he did as a player, I am all for it mate.

10.) 19 Apr 2024 17:39:44
Some short memories. Moyes let his contract run down so his new club would not have to pay compensation. I would not touch him anyway. let's go forward with new blood, new ideas, new enthusiasm.

11.) 19 Apr 2024 19:03:21
He also took us over before when we rock bottom and odds on favourites to be relegated. Turned the club round on a shoe string budget and consistently had us punching above out weight (with the financial restraints. )
11 years of service, he was no traitor.

12.) 19 Apr 2024 20:28:36
Kenwright let him. He tried to move up (Moyes) but it didn't work. I don't blame him.

13.) 19 Apr 2024 23:28:16
11 years wasn't it? Not sure what the short memory point is about. He absolutely earned his crack at a giant. He failed. He's then taken a few odd appointments but what position were Wham in when he took over and how quickly did he get them into Europe and how many seasons has he done so? He'd be a massive upgrade (now)

14.) 20 Apr 2024 02:41:10
When you compare the squad west ham have now in comparison to when he took over it is night and day in terms of quality. A lot of those signings were absolute bargains aswell. Bownen 20m, Areola 10m, Soucek 15m, Coufal 5m.
Christ we could of had those two for 20m, but nah. i'm happy with Beto hahaha.

If the new board were competent and targeted actual improvments to the squad, which let's be honest shouldn't be difficult. I'd get rid of most of the team, I don't mind selling Branthwaite as long as it is a massive fee, as he is worth every penny payed for him.
I'd happily take Johnson from West Ham at rb on a free, Brownhill, Che Adams also free. We also have to use the loan market far more effectivly and sign player we actaully will use haha.
Would any take Barkley back? I would be not if he had ridiculous wage demands.

ScottishToffee95

{Ed025's Note - Ross is better off in a place where his past cant catch up with him for me ST, he almost imploded when he was here mate..

We get gomes, allí and gueye off the books this summer anyway.

Branthwaite is great but £80-100m is a huge fee to help ffp and re invest in the squad.

I would also sell Pickford if someone offered £50m because as good as he is, you can pick up a good goalkeeper for way less, and a lesser salary.

I actually think DCL is a good striker but is wasted under Dyche and injury prone, again his sale would help ffp and get him off the wage bill.

Also Doucoure if someone comes in for him.

The problem is, say you bring in the best part of £160m for DCl, Branthwaite and Pickford.

I don't trust the board/ recruitment or Dyche to use it well.

I thought we had turned a corner after flogging some big earners but bringing in Maupay, beto, chermiti and Mcneil just hows how bad are recruitment team is.

The joys of being a blue haha.
