I don't know how such deals are structured, but, if we're able to get a naming Wrights deal in place could that help get the club out of some of its debt problems ?

Who'd pay top dollar with maybe yet another season to go before the big move? We could be liquidated or relegated or such a PR toxic disaster that no big company would want to be connected to us. I'm sure that the list is very long and distinguished and naming rights are several pages down the running order.

Long before now, the premier league should have said a very firm no to this bunch of chancers trying to buy the club .
Their record, where ever they have been involved with other clubs surely speakers for it's self.
Richard Masters has already had two goes at destroying our club, for god's sake this man is as incompetent as he is arrogant, surely someone has the power to rain in this nonseance, 777 are not fit and proper persons to run a partnership club.

I bet if we give some youngsters a chance tonight the rest of the teams in the relaegation battle will try to take action against us for putting out a weakened team. they have tried everything else🤣.

What have Burnley and Luton done exactly against us? Other than give us a bloody nose on the pitch?

Hey Nick mate I'm saying Sean kept us up so if he stays or goes I thank him and wish him all the best, the Teams below us are there because we are better, I always think Everton can win.

Luton have been a thorn in our side, so I'd be happy with a win, but I think it'll be a draw 1-1.

Difficult one to predict this one. Might be our bubble bursts tonight. I like the Luton manager. His teams have fight in them.

I prefer our manager the table doesn’t lie get our points back and we would be around Brighton, can’t seethe Luton manager up there other than below us.

Prefer our manager we would be around Brighton with our points back but hey we are still well ahead of Luton, they can keep their manager.

Could go either way. Our side is safe and relaxed, so can play with freedom. Or carefree could result in careless. For me despite all the criticism we do have some good players and we are tough to break down. One 'old' man over the last couple of games in particular is playing better. Young is playing on his natural side and it shows. Having said all that EFC are professionals and should play like it.

I think it’s been a case of needs must this season after the awful period of deductions appeals new owners etc etc, Sean has done what he was brought in to do and kept us up whether he gets to continue or not that’s not up to us but I thank the guy and wish him well if it’s with us or not.

I think for some players GB it was last chance saloon to stay up, and for others, showcase your talents to another Premier League team. He's tried to do his best in a bad situation but sentiments won't get us moving forward. Time to say goodbye and bring in a younger, hungrier, attacking style manager with good youth policies.

You read it time and time again, people suggest binning Dyche off and then spin off traits they want in the next manager e. g. more expansive, more progressive, playing on the front foot, modern, young, etc etc, as if these managers just grow on trees and are attainable.

People make it sound so simple.

Where and who are these managers exactly? Why would they come to us? How much would they cost? Why haven't we managed to get one in when changing managers the last half a dozen times?

Poor vision from directors BN.

03 May 2024 13:23:05
We've had a combination of nearly every type of manager, BN, and we are still in a similar predicament. Definitely agree with you there, who would take this job if we do part ways with SD? We only have to look across the park to see how they've struggled to get in their preferred choice in place. Ending up with what could be a poor man's Ten Haag. We've tried young, hungry managers during FMs tenure and they never worked out so what has changed that makes some fans think this is the answer to our problems?

I'm sorry I'm retired and old enough to remember good times.
I'm sorry I revelled in successes of the past.
I'm not sorry for demanding better.
If those of you who think surviving relegation each year with Dyche is success I'm sorry for you.

What is a young up coming manager and who other than dyche would get that team playing any better while loosing two first team players next season. Probably the best young defender and England number 1.None.

GB, which side of the fence do you sit on? Last week it was bin Dyche and move forward with a younger manager 😂😂😂😂.

Agree0 0Disagree

03 May 2024 18:53:25
Right now and for the foreseeable future we should stick with Dyche. We can't afford new players until we get new owners and I think that is at least 3 to 6 months away. 777 won't be taking over so it will need to be someone else and we know that process takes months.

A manager with new philosophy will need to bring those players in so it will have to be a building process and the fans will need to be patient.

For now though sit back, enjoy the last three games without fear and watch the debacle unfold before our eyes as our club gets closer to going to wall in the summer.

Nick, there is no need to apologise for anything. I think you are spot on for wanting better than what has been served up this last decade. I think everyone else wants that as well, I know I certainly do. I do think that there has to be some perspective though.

Just seen a list of a few free agents this summer. Can't say I am mad on any of them but I guess that is the market we are swimming in.

Chris Wood - Not a signing that gets the juices flowing but he is definitely reliable. Every time he has played over 20 games in a season he reaches 10+ goals. Would probably be buying a club top goalscorer. 32 now though so only going to drop off.

Josh DaSilva - Seems to have his fair share of injuries but is still young. Talented player when he is actually on the pitch from what I have seen. Could be the CAM that we don't have and can play on the flanks as well.

Ben Johnson - Must be a reason why he hasn't broken into the West Ham side. Regardless, I would still rather have him than any options we currently have at RB.

Jeffrey Schlupp - 265 PL games which is mental. When he first came about for Leicester I would never have foreseen that career he has carved out for himself. As versatile as you can get. Could cover 5 different positions on the pitch an works his bollocks off. By no means a frequent goal scorer but will get 3 or 4 a season which makes him potent for Everton haha.

Josh Brownhill - Don't know too much about this lad in terms of his play so maybe others can provide an insight. I know he was at United as a youth player and Sean signed him for Burnley when he was there.

Che Adams - Another one like Wood that doesn't excite. Works hard for the team. Big and strong and can bring others around him into play. Over 150 games in the PL, so knows the league. Probably and 8-10 goals a season striker. 27, so plenty of miles left on the clock and to see us through this period of financial difficulty. Could sign worse for free.

Ndidi - Think he would be a great replacement for Onana. Always posted up similar numbers to Idrissa (before he left for PSG) in terms of his tackles and interceptions. Feels like he has been around forever and has spent 7 seasons in the PL but still only 27. Best of the lot available for me but I think he will go elsewhere.

Under Dyche, Chris Woods scored 49 goals in 144 matches (1:3) , so if we are to keep Dyche, at last Woods can play Dycheball type football.

02 May 2024 16:32:38
Could anyone shed some light on the situation regarding this takeover and how, if 777 need to secure a loan to buy the club, they could pass the Premier League's owners and directors tests? Surely if they don't have the funds and have to look at other means like loans to gather the funds then they aren't fit enough to keep a club afloat. I understand the PL want the funds putting into an account for this season but what would happen next season, or the one after, wouldn't we just be riddled with more debt and loans against us if that's how they operate?

02 May 2024 19:03:11
It's sn absolute sh*t show. Why the premier league are letting this circus drag on is beyond me. No money to buy us, loan upon loan and all before taking over. What about next season, season after that and season after that. Spent nearly all season worrying about points deductions, possible relegation and potentially being ran by a dodgy company with no money.

02 May 2024 16:31:48
It really is time for the premium league to say yes or no to the 777 proposal.
My personal preference, is that I don't want these cowboys any where near our club, I do appreciate, that in the short term this could create difficulty, but afder what we have just been through with F/ M, swapping him for 777, would be out of the frying pan and into the fire, surely their track record at the clubs they have been involved with, should make this a no brainer .

Right that's me done for a couple of months now. No more reading the crap the rags print, no more news now bollocks.
I'm off to Barbados to recuperate after what's been another stressful season.
Thanks Ed's for putting up with us, it will be the same again next season no doubt.
Happy Holidays everyone. UTFT!
