I rate that Osula and never understood why Newcastle didn't ever play him but them now asking for 60m, for a player they have only decided to play in the last 6 weeks, due to their big-money striker signings failing to deliver is absolutely laughable.
60m hahahah. He hasn't even played 18 games worth of PL football.
The game is absolutely ruined.
{Ed025's Note - we will probably go for Delap now...and waste some more money BN..

Stinks of us that move Ed. I am not a fan of the lad at all, even less of a fan of him as a footballer.

Absolutely pointless going for Delap unless we do the strangest of things and sign some players that will get behind the fullbacks and cross the ball. A tactic that seems to have been etched from our coaches' memories.
20 May 2026 10:45:53
My concern with Delap is was he a "one season wonder" with Ipswich, something which seems to happen with strikers when they step up.
19 May 2026 22:32:24
Well that was interesting Cuccereya (excuse spelling) , Chelsea player who looks like Side Show Bob, dragged a Spurs player down in the six yard box at a corner and got booked as the ball wasn’t quite in play; whatever that means.
Very similar to Silva dragging Merlin down at a corner but the ball wasn’t in play for that one. The PGMOL all need sacking. W*** is going on. VAR is here to stay but there needs to be a complete overhaul of the way it’s run.

In reply to Bunkbeds post. I’m the opposite. I’m not a DM lover, but I thought that eventually after he was appointed that at the time he was best available, and it all started well. But as time went on the wheels started coming off with 80 mins subs and continually playing out of form players. Last Sunday against Sunderland was a prime example. Ndiaye, Tim, OBrien etc. all should have been subbed at the start of the second half. I don’t want any player that is playing poorly on the pitch when we have several options on the bench to change it, whether they are our top players or not.
Several managers are available at the moment and TFG will have to decide whether DM gets a new contract and gets a couple of windows to bring new players in or replace DM. At the end of the day they will see we missed out on Europe by a few points. Big challenges for the Board. Let’s hope they get it right.

Don't think that's the opposite, GB, sounds like similar frustration really.
19 May 2026 16:57:01
At the end of the day, if you can upgrade, go for it.
There is a better manager than Moyes available right now, and he's wanting to stay in the league, and will likely be joining a much smaller club than us.
It makes 0 sense to keep Moyes under any circumstances.
19 May 2026 14:25:24
Found a problem, lads. Moyes won West Ham a trophy. He left them and then they got worse
That means we can never get rid of Moyes no matter what, right?

I'm not a Moyes hater by any means but I do get sine of the frustration with him.
I do think OBrien should be CB. And I think he should've given more minutes to Armstrong, Dibbling, George, Alcaraz and even Aznou.
The players look fatigued and bit more rotation could've served us better.
Rohl and Tim have shown that the squad can be used more.

Well said. Any young player who considers coming to Everton will think not much point as won't get any game time - unless you're 6ft6 of course.
I think Moyes must know playing this style will see him out of a job - so why does he not start on the front foot? Only reason I can think of is that he's inept.
19 May 2026 21:02:12
Nothing to lose in last game of season. Give some youngsters experience. What harm can it do? We will lose if we continue as we have.
19 May 2026 21:05:06
George, Armstrong *watched him a lot*, Alcaraz and Aznou I agree with, but Dibling, I don't even agree he was that good at Southampton, very predictable even when he was supposedly on form.
I really do not know what they saw to shell out £40 mill. I said my theory right back at season start. Wanted Ndiaye on the left and needed a RW, then Grealish happened.
20 May 2026 08:11:32
Dibling was given a free role when playing for Southampton. Moyes stuck him on the wing and said defend.
19 May 2026 09:18:19
Nothing but the best is good enough.
That people is the motto on our badge, and it is about time the club's owners, the board, the manager and players and everyone involved in this great club start to realise that.

It might be the club motto but it hasn't really been relevant since the late 80s.
19 May 2026 16:59:14
If it's on the shirt then it's relevant.
19 May 2026 17:51:09
Well, they certainly haven't lived up to it for a few decades was the point I was making, wasn't having a pop.
20 May 2026 03:25:58
I won't blame the owners just yet. They appointed a manager & he has done a job that he was hired for. Stabilised us & oversaw the move from The Grant Old Lady.
What they do now will define them as owners. Do they stay with a mid table manager or have ambition to go for a progressive young coach?

Can’t wait for next season. Let’s go for 12th again, 37% win rate, spend 70 on ticket and most weeks hardly have a shot on goal. 5 CB in starting 11 and crusty the clown up front. Oh the joys, I can’t bloody wait. Good times or what?
{Ed025's Note - which one of the forwards is Crusty Dino.. :)

Prob our new signing from Springfield FC, mate, Moyes believes in him. Barry is defo a clown, and Beto is Side Show Bob; they both play like they wear clown shoes on their feet.
{Ed025's Note - love it Dino..
19 May 2026 00:00:54
If we are going for a defender with a few miles on the clock, rather than Stones, a case can be made to bring in Triper, on a free, but still performing at the top level, ok, it's short term but at least he is a proper right back, and if pushed can play on the left side.

Ah, a player who can play out of position. Moyes will love him.
19 May 2026 08:04:29
We sell our players in their prime and buy other teams' players from them when they're done!
This is everything wrong in our club. Lescott/Distin, Roony/Bent, Arteta/Lloyds Bank.
Then there's the problem of not sourcing understudies for the assets we do keep, Baines/Coleman left to get old with no one behind them. They get coaching jobs with nothing like their quality to coach.
We are a poorly run club and will never find success if we continue in this way.
I hope these new owners have better ideas than our rinse and repeat version of trying to be the football club we once were.
Stop buying old players for stop gaps until something comes along. This awful recruitment team need replacements of their own.
19 May 2026 14:52:05
All 3 players you mentioned wanted to go. Distan wasn't the worst defender we have brought in, tbh. Arteta left us no time to find a replacement on deadline day, knocking Arsenal back in the afternoon and then changing his mind in the last couple of hours. Cahill came in the same day Rooney left; he wasn't too shabby, was he?
19 May 2026 15:17:56
Yeah, fair point BP, but I'm still of the mind that we are run poorly and we will never progress until we start to admit how poor we actually are. Distan was in his 30s when we signed him, Cahill wasn't a striker, and we never signed a replacement for Arteta as there was no money to do so.
It was a January transfer window and we could have said no. Our full backs are shockingly bad, and we still can't fix it. Then we get the excuse we can't attract quality because we aren't in Europe. We are in a mess, recruitment wise. And have been for a long time now.
19 May 2026 17:51:25
Arteta screwed us over, mate, changing his mind so late in the window gave us no chance to replace him. Where that cash went is another matter! I think Distan wasn't too bad a signing, I've got no problem bringing in players who are over 30 if they have still got ability.
You're right on Cahill, mate, he may not have been a forward, but he weighed in with goals which softened the blow of losing Rooney, if only a tiny bit.
In all honesty, TA, I'd take a Marcus Bent every day of the week rather than the two forwards we have right now, mate.
We could say no, but keeping an unhappy player doesn't help any team's cause. If a player wants to leave, let them go for the best possible price. The recruitment team we have has a lot to answer for right now, they have a big summer ahead to rectify past mistakes imo. Fingers crossed they get it right next window.
