Thanks ed025, what's concerning is that hopefully when we win the appeal is how we get our money back off Burnley because they have massive debts due to their leveraged buyout by their current owners. I feel confident of winning the appeal because if the figures are correct of what Man City have cost other clubs this could be a really long legal battle.

Sorry one more question when we were found guilty our punishment was immediate how come they have been found guilty and not had any immediate punishment like us and forest. Thanks in advance ed.

{Ed025's Note - that’s what we all want to know Andy. I think it’s called corruption mate..

Is it on pause because of the appeal, Ed?

{Ed025's Note - i would expect so Lucas, until their charges are known and the punishment dished out we can see how proportionate it is compared to the stiffing we got mate..

13 Oct 2026 15:04:46
I read the hearing is due before Christmas and the ''final'' judgement 30 days after mate.

13 Oct 2026 11:15:34
The more I watch Hull's second goal the worse it gets.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Oct 2026 12:18:31
Stop watching it then mate.

13 Oct 2026 16:32:27
I can't Reg it draws me in mate. Not one defender did his job including the keeper.

13 Oct 2026 10:54:57
Morning Ed's do you have any update with regards to our appeal against the compensation we had to give Burnley?

{Ed025's Note - not yet Andy, i suspect it will be tied up in the charges against City and the outcome of that mate..

13 Oct 2026 08:52:17
Loved watching Ndiaye when he was going down the tunnel getting pelters from Liverpool fans. His response to them "Up the Toffees".

Agree4 Disagree0

13 Oct 2026 12:45:35
Brilliant stuff from him.

13 Oct 2026 14:38:34
Not sour grapes here but watched the game on Sunday and ndiaye looked bang average in that city team. i get different systems and not as much tracking back but he didn't look the player he did for us. just my opinion and the only game I have watched him play since we sold him.

12 Oct 2026 17:32:03
I see there a big debate going on as several ex refs are saying The Johnson goal yesterday should have stood hmmmm, that makes me feel better then.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Oct 2026 18:37:57
Of course it should have GB, and of course it must of been 'a clear and obvious error' too being that not many in the game can even understand the decision.
VAR is a load of tosh, a shambles and it's ruining football. 3 teams on the pitch.
Im personally looking forward to watching the Newcastle game in the cup above anything else mate.

13 Oct 2026 07:39:44
From what I could see in the ground was that when Armstrong shot and the defender blocked it the second defender then kicked it against Johnson, meaning two defenders were behind the ball. Therefore Johnson did not become active until that block was made.

13 Oct 2026 07:43:46
They tell us after the match it was a goal; without the well-deserved points, nightmare!

13 Oct 2026 10:40:27
Honest to God, football is doing my head in at the minute. City, VAR, FIFA, Chelsea, The PL, Dodgy billionaires, etc etc.

I love Everton, and for me it's always been the great distraction from all the horrible things in life, but football just reflects the wider world now. Nasty, corrupt and lacking decency.

If they keep messing about with our (and it is ours) great sport, they'll eventually kill the golden goose and people will start turning their backs on elite football.

It really depresses me.

{Ed025's Note - i think we all feel the same Benny mate..

13 Oct 2026 14:43:51
It totally baffled me as well lads thought they was looking for a foul on the keeper then gave offside ? VAR just doesn't like us they was wanting to disallow KDH header as well but couldn't.

12 Oct 2026 16:31:37
Just make that European super league and be done with it, bring back the 3 foreign player rule for the remaining english sides and we will have our game back.

Agree4 Disagree0

12 Oct 2026 16:56:01
No more transfer fees all players sighn for free on a contract and put a wage cap on every club in the world taking all money and greed away and puts all clubs on an equal footing.

12 Oct 2026 18:43:43
I've been praying for the super league since they never had the balls to go through with it the 3 foreigner rule is brilliant great idea tranmere.

12 Oct 2026 21:00:57
Sounds a bit like the American sports system Skylark. Only one step away from a draft.

13 Oct 2026 07:42:01
Never happen, there's far to much money in the game now, and far to many greedy people grabbing a share, and that includes those running the Premiership.

13 Oct 2026 07:46:00
Lol, a 'carpet bagger' hell too.

13 Oct 2026 13:53:46
We already have the super league. It's called the champions league. It's designed to keep the top clubs there. They just want more money. And let's not kid ourselves, we will moan and moan about it being all over the sports news and whatever we have will not be enough. There will be no change to our feelings now if it was introduced.

I don't have a solution so for now can the right thing be done and kick the cheaters out of our league? Make a statement that goes a little way to repair what the PL and Man City have both done to make us the laughing stock of world football.

14 Oct 2026 10:42:11
Ace the CL generates £4.4 billion, with anything up to £2.5 billion going to the participating clubs.
According to 'AI' a super league projected ballpark figure is €10 billion
Going on proportion, something like €5 billion to the clubs then?

12 Oct 2026 11:07:51
I am not the leader of Moyes fan club, however, given the job he has done, given his lack of resources, and the truly disgraceful lack of Support from the TFG, they assumption that a new owner would kick him out, is unfair and unreasonable.
Moyes, with proper financial backing, might surprise us all, and at the very least, deserves that chance.

Agree4 Disagree0

12 Oct 2026 12:52:33
At last.

12 Oct 2026 15:42:09
I think a lot more people would agree with you Ab if it wasn't for the guys team selections and substitutions or lack of.
Johnson for me has shown nothing, in fact Dibling in his five minute cameo showed more attacking intent than he did for 85. So why leave it so late.

12 Oct 2026 15:50:28
I agree there BMD that DM does himself no favours by not playing Dibling earlier same goes for George and hopefully Alcaraz gets more playing time as well mate.

12 Oct 2026 17:42:23
Yeah, can't say I agree. No one blame Moyes for the things he can't control - He has done a great job in light of them - it's the things he has 100% control over, and consistent makes bad calls on, which frustrate us.

I'm not as desperate to see him go as I was a few months ago, but a lack of support from the owners doesn't excuse playing the same formation and tactics in every game, picking centrebacks as fullbacks and starting Johnson every week.

{Ed025's Note - i know what you mean Alex, now i know its all about opinions but some of his decisions leave me scratching my head, he obviously knows more than me mate (allegedly) but when he plays our best centre half at fullback and picks the likes of Brennan EVER is beyond me, George and Hackney must be scratching their heads when the side gets announced but he did the same with Jack Harrison, Charly never gets a look in either and he has got to be better than that useless lump we have upfront even if its only for half a game....i know some will say...but he has scored this many goals....count the sitters first and that outnumbers the goals by about 5/1, he is absolutely friggin hopeless, i think Moyes will keep us safe though and he for me he is the best man for the job...at this moment, sorry for the rant but i have never been a sheep and dont intend to start now..

12 Oct 2026 18:19:54
With you there Ed mate.

{Ed025's Note - having an opinion does not make us any different or better than other supporters GB, i have followed this club for over 60 years and have seen the good and the bad of this great club mate, having different opinions is a good thing in my book and if we all felt the same it would be a boring old world, i will still cheer the team on whoever is picked but i refuse to follow with blind faith and if i think that we are picking the wrong players i will say so, David is not the Moysiah...sometimes hes a very naughty boy.. :)

12 Oct 2026 18:41:59
Agree totally mate and it certainly isn't moaning, I've followed Everton since 1960 if I feel something is not right I will have my say mate.

13 Oct 2026 07:53:52
I'm a "lifer" and have followed them home and away. Actually prefer the away games at times. Think we need to remember Moyes was brought in to do a specific job, think he has done that. However, we will never progress further if he sticks to his rigid formation and sometimes baffling team selections. Nobody understood why he stuck Branthwaite at left back, and it was clear to see that the combination of MN and Johnson wasn't working.

But he never changes things.
Lots of people saying we could have had four or five goals, but so could they something people tend too forget.
Another frustrating game where we could with a little more ambition have won the game.

13 Oct 2026 11:13:05
The biggest thing for me is again we ended up with 4 CB's on the pitch. It tells you everything about Moyes and why he never wins anything. He is safety first and always. He doesn't win cups because of this and before the Preston game, his rant at the Journo, stating that safety in the league is his priority shows he is a safe pair of hands but will never bring you trophies.

Right now though I just want a couple of seasons building the club and squad up and hopefully a couple forays into Europe. I can cope with the football as long as we are moving forward. However, with a new owner, with fingers crossed some ambition, I would hope we become more dynamic and aim for loftier expectations.

I'll take Moyes football over the last several years. Played half a good season under Ancelotti but other than that, the last 10+ years has been hard to watch and enjoy.

Agree6 Disagree0

12 Oct 2026 10:16:55
What and this isn't hard to watch?

12 Oct 2026 10:59:47
The bar has been set verry low, we have hsd some shocking managers over the past 10 years and the football has been dreadful but to say the football we are watching at the moment is good to watch is some statement, i think moyes has done a good job with what we have but his team selections are still baffling.

But i think he is the best option until we have new owners.

12 Oct 2026 13:26:28
Ive watched every game. We are much easier on the eye than anytime in the last 6 seasons. Is it great? If we had put 2 or 3 more in the net then? Yeah itd be great. This inability to bury our numerous chances is already a sore point. It'll significantly damage our potential. And this is not DMs fault. Luckily the goons whos at fault have decided that its time to follow the stated script defined by the late 02.

We are now for sale. Unbeaten and seemingly in far better shape than the summer would have us believe. After witnessing the Big S and SD Rafa Frank tripe, i'm definitely entertained and matchdays are full of expectations. Yet in isolation the moaning on here is in full effect. Probably why I maybe popin once a week instead of multiple times a day as in the past.

12 Oct 2026 15:50:56
Stating the bloody obvious is not moaning, we are slightly better than we were but as has been mentioned the bar has been set very low. Unbeaten but have only won two games from those six, with harder games coming up. Early days yet so let's see where we are by the end of the year. More wins than draws hopefully.

12 Oct 2026 18:43:07
Of course it's not, some seem to think they know better mate.

12 Oct 2026 00:15:07
Barry's endeavour and chasing lost causes I admire, and after missing 3 massive chances he didn't hide away and got his goal, and it was the hardest chance of the three, pretty much sums up his season really, he is getting into the right positions all the time but jeez his finishing is abysmal, the Premier League is cut throat and ruthless and you never get an easy ride in any game where 3 points are guaranteed so how many BIG CHANCES has this guy missed, we should of been out of sight yet again and this has happened in a few games if it wasn't for his misses, we should be sitting on about 15 points right now, the one from 3 yards out is unforgivable, as for the defence we have been pretty solid but AMN you have to look at yourself for both goals conceded.

First he has loads of time to find a blue shirt and fluffs it and Mia kicks it, the second one is ridiculous, you tried to do a stupid back heel instead of putting the ball into row Z. Whilst we are still unbeaten that felt like a defeat.

12 Oct 2026 02:22:35
Big Dunc worked one on one with DCL & that's when he produced his best scoring stats for us. Maybe Moyes should ring the big fella & ask him if he'll coach our strikers.
Barry gets into all the right areas but squanders too many opportunities. Give him one on one sessions with Dunc & see if it works.

UTFT NSNO ? ? ?.

12 Oct 2026 08:04:15
Barry is terrible what's the point of scoring one and missing 6 that's like a keeper saving one but conceding 6 and people saying he is a good keeper he has no idea what he is doing just runs about like headless chicken kicking thin air most times. Sunday league quality he is.

{Ed025's Note - i think you are bigging him up too much there Dino..

12 Oct 2026 10:23:04
Can you imagine how many more points we'd have with a decent striker?

12 Oct 2026 11:05:44
DCL scoring spree was more to do with Ancelloti telling him to hit everything first time in the box and giving him confidence to do so. DCL has actually been quoted with saying this. Nothing to do with Ferguson.

12 Oct 2026 13:51:03
Dont get the obsession with ferguson.

12 Oct 2026 15:25:37
I'm quite sure DCL also referenced and credited Ferguson as well in a couple of interviews, BR. He was certainly getting one-to-one coaching from him that season.

12 Oct 2026 15:59:41
Barry's goal per game ratio is roughly the same as Ferguson's but he hasn't got an Everton tattoo and doesn't go round the pitch chinning people so he is garbage.

12 Oct 2026 21:03:46
Reg, Ancelotti told DCL to stay in and around the box, and to stop wasting energy chasing lost causes. Our striker now is expected to chase everything and run himself into the ground?‍♂️.
