I was wondering if any of the eds know if we have any chance of getting another forward in before the window shuts and I can't believe we got 22million for iwobi it's about time thelwell earned his money. Going for a 2-0 win tomorrow beto first goalscorer.

Blueandy67

{Ed002's Note - Sure.}

15 Aug 2023 11:49:37
Hi all, do any if the eds know much about the young striker Malik Mothersille we have taken on trial after he left chelsea. Thanks.

Blueandy67

{Ed002's Note - He is a striker who Chelsea wanted to keep but he made demands the club would not agree to.}

1.) 15 Aug 2023 12:57:03
Well if Chelsea wouldn't agree to demands, I assume financial, why are Everton having a look.

{Ed002's Note - It is unrelated to that.}

2.) 15 Aug 2023 13:27:11
I would think it may be because he is looking to break through into first team squad DFS and too many infont of him. Why Price and Samuels left us.

3.) 15 Aug 2023 14:28:16
I agree with you about Price going to Belgium for 1st team opps Mocker but Samuels-Smith would have had an easier time getting ahead of Mykolenko/ Young over Chilwell/ Cucurella.

4.) 15 Aug 2023 15:14:53
You would have thought so yes, perhaps the dazzling lights and ego appealed to him.

5.) 15 Aug 2023 16:06:41
Thiery Small. Where are you now?

6.) 15 Aug 2023 15:42:07
Ok chrs Ed, I assumed wrong.

7.) 15 Aug 2023 18:42:10
In the championship Spennie on his inflated wages.

08 Aug 2023 18:58:08
Hi all, just been reading about a possible swap involving onana for maguire if that's the case then thelwell should be following bill and moshiri out the door, it's obvious we have to trade so maybe try chelsea, onana for the young defender we are supposedly interested in and 20 Mill which can go towards a forward we so desperately need.

Blueandy67

{Ed025's Note - im with you Andy, but dont believe everything you read i would suggest mate..

1.) 08 Aug 2023 19:55:16
If that is true then is it too late to convert BMD into flats? We won’t be needing a stadium.

2.) 08 Aug 2023 20:12:32
It’s a rubbish story in the mail regurgitated by the echo as they’ve run out of stories about Everton miss out on players we were linked with 12 months ago who’ve now signed for someone else . Creating a fake narrative that we can’t sign anyone. Column filling sh1t.

3.) 08 Aug 2023 20:16:04
Re my previous post it’s the mirror not the mail my bad, still nonsense though.

25 Jul 2023 21:20:58
Hi all, does any of the eds have any news if gnonto is really of interest to us and what are the chances of us actually getting him or any forward in. Thanks.

Blueandy67

{Ed002's Note - Everton are keen as I have explained.}

1.) 25 Jul 2023 21:47:10
Apologies Ed002 I'm a new poster on here and didn't realise you had already answered this. I'm just hoping we get in at least one forward because I don't think my heart can take another season like the last couple.

{Ed002's Note - Welcome and I am sure they will.}

2.) 27 Jul 2023 06:02:31
A better question would be 'are we of interest to him'. Observation; why is no one else interested in him?

Happy birthday to you GB hopefully we can give you 3 points as a present ?. Ed025 do you think it would be good to play dcl and beto on Saturday it would be good to see if they can make it work. My preferred line up would be a 4 3 1 2. Just wondered what anyone else thinks

Pickford
Braithwaite
Tarks
Myko
Godfrey
Patterson
Onana
Garner
Doucoure
Beto
Dcl.

Be nice seeing if could work Andy yes, but atm I don't think we have the tools, no width or quality of crosses in that line up imo which would be ok if we have some creativity centrally which again we don't, think Gomes has to start Saturday, not only for his 2nd half performance other night but think he is our best dead ball taker and our team needs it especially in a game I feel will be extremely scrappy cagey and set pieces from both teams could be vital.

2.) 04 Apr 2024 22:30:48
Patterson likes to get forward has pace and can cross a ball. Playing him in front of Godfrey would be worth trying. But he won’t.
Gomes for Dacoure who’s form has been poor.

3.) 04 Apr 2024 23:51:03
Patterson is absolutely shocking at crossing a ball, how many decent balls has he put over when he's played? Sorry mate, but not sure how you come to that conclusion. He needs to improve a lot before he can cement a place in our team.

4.) 05 Apr 2024 09:05:24
No he’s not bp. Watched him play for Rangers a lot when I was up there, lads got a really good delivery. Problem is in our set up full backs are not encouraged to overlap. So push him further forward and give him a go. Seriously he won’t be any worse than Young or Harrison.

5.) 05 Apr 2024 13:39:35
Can't agree at all mate, apart from he's probably better than Harrison at getting the ball over. I've watched him with my own eyes when he's played and it's left a distinct impression on me that his delivery needs a lot of work. I like the lad and think he's going to be a top full back in a few years but that is definitely one area of his game that he needs to work on.
My Dad is from Glasgow and a massive gers fan so I also watch them on a regular basis with him, when our games don't clash. He looked very good in Scotland but its not much of a comparison, their Premier league to ours, really.
I've had to look at his stats to ensure that I'm not making sh*t up and they don't really backbup your claim mate. He only made 27 appearances for Rangers, scoring 2 and assisting only once. He made 12 league appearances which is understandable considering he had Tavernier ahead of him in the pecking order.

6.) 05 Apr 2024 18:04:55
Can't argue with that Blue. Lads not ready for premiership yet, totally different standard north of the border and yes his stats hardly scream out tho with better coaching and perhaps a loan away the lad can become our RB for years to come.

7.) 06 Apr 2024 01:43:15
I think a loan move would do him good, Mocker. As you day, he isn't quite ready or up to speed with the league, mainly because he hasn't played too much whether it be through injury or just not selected. He has potential to be a really good full back but bow just isn't his time. And his crossing is woeful.

8.) 06 Apr 2024 01:44:56
Sent last reply too early there!
His crossing is woeful but, as you say, with better coaching maybe that aspect of his game can improve.

For the life of me I can't understand dyche or his tactics, this is the worst winless run since 94 something has to change because I really fear for us this year I really think we could get relegated especially with another points deduction possible. The players don't seem to understand what the club means to us and I think maybe dyche has lost the changing room, anyone else up for a interim manager because if we are going down I want us to go fighting for the club.

Hi Ed001, just read your brilliant reply to andyefc123 post, I don't suppose you want to become a member of the disciplinary panel or even better take over from master's at the PL by any chance? On a serious note I think what you have said makes perfect sense just wondering why these so called legal experts along with the PL didn't come up with something like this.

Blueandy67

{Ed001's Note - for me they are not interested in forethought. They always react to things after they happen, never spotting potential problems ahead of time. It is a major problem at the FA and Premier League.}

26 Feb 2024 14:14:51
Your right ed025 there does seem to be an agenda against us I just got excited about getting something back from the appeal because the longer we had to wait I did begin to fear the worst. I really hope that the new charge is defended robustly. In the meantime I believe we need another 18 points to be absolutely sure of safety this year. Thanks for all of your replys on our posts on here I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say we appreciate your candid honesty mate.

Blueandy67

{Ed025's Note - cheers andy mate..

1.) 26 Feb 2024 14:30:18
Yep echo that Andy and thanks Ed. ?.

2.) 26 Feb 2024 19:04:21
12 games to play and 18 pts = 43 pts doesn't it? or you mean if we get another 6 deducted. Have to hope 3 teams have a disaster, because I would wet dream for 14 = 33 pts. I think this season 33 - 35 may be enough.

26 Feb 2024 13:48:34
At last we know it's good to get 4 points back hopefully this will give the team a lift and dyche can get us playing pressing and attacking football again because it's been rubbish for a while now. No excuses now dyche pull your finger out and let the team play.

Blueandy67

{Ed025's Note - im still not happy with that andy, they were wrong to give us any point deduction in my view and this is just a sweetener to appease the fan base and try to prove there is no agenda against us mate, it doesn,t wash with me..

1.) 26 Feb 2024 14:06:08
Not what I hoped but better than expected. Atleast it lifts us up n hopefully it'll lift the team.

2.) 26 Feb 2024 14:06:08

3.) 26 Feb 2024 14:15:38
Another 6 points to hit us then on the next charge I would think.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely GB, the precedent has been set now and i cant see anything bar another 6 point deduction coming our way mate..

4.) 26 Feb 2024 14:19:39
I’d expect us to get another 6 point deduction, but if that precedent has been set Forest should get a 6 point deduction as well. That would put us 1 point above Forest. Have to make sure we stay above them regardless.

5.) 26 Feb 2024 14:36:11
Would all depend on what was found with this charge to have punishment reduced - hoping that it has a positive impact on the second charge.

Interesting that some legal issues had been highlighted by our brief.

Seems ridiculous that can be punished twice for the same psr issue and from what I’ve read the second charge has come about because of what was found in the first one.

{Ed002's Note - That is not the situation with the second charge. And I suspect a different punishment for the next charge.}

6.) 26 Feb 2024 14:55:45
Will forest be expecting a 6 PT hit like us Ed, from what I've read their charge is more serious than our first.

Do you expect both charges to be concluded by the end of the season regardless?

{Ed002's Note - I think it unlikely they will get the same punishment. The Premier League expect the cases relating to Everton and Nottingham Forest to be closed out by the end of the season.}

7.) 26 Feb 2024 15:00:17
Apologies Ed, from what I’d read the year that caused our issue leading to the first punishment was also being included in the period for the second charge.

Are you able to shed any light on the second charge and what you suspect the different punishment may be?

Now there’s a precedent set it looks like a points deduction will be how these matters are dealt with going forward - I also imagine there’ll be some punishment for repeat offences.

Whilst it’s a relief to get some points back think there may be a bigger charge on the horizon.

{Ed002's Note - The period is a three year rolling window so Everton are being charged again, but for a different period. There is no presedent and charges are dealt with on their own merits. The situation with Nottingham Forest is very different to Everton. All options remain open in terms of punishment: slapped wrist, points deduction (if found guilty of the serious issues), transfer ban (which may help Everton control their spending - remember, the club is largely broke and having to borrow each month to page wages, and in theory relegation by expelling them from the Premier League).}

8.) 26 Feb 2024 15:13:49
Cheers Ed?.

9.) 26 Feb 2024 15:19:11
Hi Ed002, appreciate if you expanded on your point above regarding a 'different punishment'. Can I speculate by saying it may not necessarily be a further points deduction but some other sanction? Cheers Ed appreciate your insight.

{Ed002's Note - I would not be surprised if it were a transfer ban.}

10.) 26 Feb 2024 15:24:39
Thanks Edoo2. I know you won't be able to be specific with Everton's second punishment, but would you expect it to be more or less severe. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I would not be surprised if it were a transfer ban.}

11.) 26 Feb 2024 15:43:29
Thanks for the insight Ed much appreciated.

Let’s just hope whatever the outcome of the second charge is it is done swiftly so we know what we are faced with - the sooner we know the sooner we can deal with it.

If points deduction we’ll know exactly what we need to do to stay up, if transfer ban then could start to look at whether to keep any of our players with contracts ending this season on as well as starting to blood some of our youngsters.

{Ed002's Note - The plan is before the end of the season.}

12.) 26 Feb 2024 16:10:50
Your wise words are often correct ed002. You've cheered my day. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Have a good one Nick.}

13.) 26 Feb 2024 16:20:04
Ed,

If we were to get a transfer ban, would that include loans?

Presume so but unsure.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, it means the club cannot register new players.}
