Disappointed again with our performance and result. Missed chances, poor defensively and Moyes' refusal to make changes have cost us another 3pts.

The defensive problems are well known, Keane and Tarkowski can’t play together as they’re too slow and not sharp at all. We have to score 3-4 goals to win a game.

We created enough chances today to score 3+ goals, but KDH and Ndiaye let their teammates down with their poor finishing.

As for Moyes in-game tactics or lack of them, why bring Alcaraz on in 93rd minute? It was blatantly obvious we needed fresh legs and KDH was struggling in all departments. A blind man can see how poor we are defensively, so why sit back and invite crosses?

It is mystifying, Joe.

10 May 2026 18:20:17
It's inevitable. We know, the team knows, and the opposition knows that we can't retain a winning position at the end of a game.

{Ed025's Note - its a flawed mentality for me Mike especially with the defenders who seem to panic when the pressure is on mate..

10 May 2026 19:31:00
Agree Ed025. We go to pieces in last few mins when under pressure. It just seems instilled to the team to be nervous and make mistakes from 85+ mins. But that's where Tarks should be willing them on. Can't fault Tim, Garner or Beto on today's performance. They put everything into it. Thought Rohl had another decent game considering he's not a right winger

10 May 2026 16:07:15
It's a funny old game.

Probably playing the most constantly good football we have in a long time and getting very little to show for it. Such a competitive league right now, but I guess at least we are now competing.

10 May 2026 16:58:21
Hmmmm?

10 May 2026 16:06:38
No coincidence that since Branthwaites been out we’ve been conceding sloppy goals at the back leading to dropped points… Would of been in 6th place right now with out the sloppiness at the back!

10 May 2026 16:51:33
Or look at it another way. We would have won those games if our forwards could actually put the ball in the net.

10 May 2026 16:59:23
Hit the nail on the head there, BMD, so many chances in our last few games.

10 May 2026 17:48:13
I reckon Beto and Barry cost us quite a few points this season. I am talking about couple of fistful of chances that were easier to score than miss. I would add, though, that teams are not going to roll over for us and scores such as this 2-2 result against a good side away is pretty darned acceptable.

10 May 2026 18:23:12
Yes, we should convert more chances, but we are set up to be a defensive team, and we are crap at that, especially at the end of the game.

10 May 2026 18:48:43
We have an awful lot of ball watchers in our defence. Palace realised that all they had to do was put the ball into the box and chances would come.

10 May 2026 16:05:44
Can anyone explain to me why a side who have made a Euro final and allegedly been on the piss for 3 days, at 2-2 75' show more desire to win the game than Everton who must win.

I don't think it's the players, I personally think it's the negative donkey in the dugout who actively refuses to have a go.

Everton start great, get the opener today. Then sit back and wait to concede. Good tactic considering the 2 donuts at CB. Again something the manager could adjust considering our 2nd best CB in the squad is at RB.

Everton score again, and surely every blue knew once again: okay, we'll try and defend the 2-1 rather than get 3-1. Inevitable, once again, mistakes from the CBs.

It's the same story every game, Everton are directed to contain when in a desired position no matter who the opponent is.

Glasner, a manager whose only desire is to win. Absolutely proper. I'd kill to watch my team play with that desire. Sure we'd lose plenty, but for me I'm sick to death of our safety first style. Where does it get us? Absolutely nowhere because we're still a bottom half team in probably the easiest season in memory to make Europe.

Glad we have a £42m winger on the bench that was last seen before Christmas. No other manager on the planet would refuse to give him 10 mins in our position. Suppose at least Charly Alcaraz got 90 seconds today.

Once Palace realised we couldn't defend crosses we were f***ed.

10 May 2026 17:33:11
If the players could convert their chances, then we wouldn't be having a dig at the manager. Be interesting to see how many points we've dropped due to missed chances this season. The Premier League is unforgivable. If you don't score goals when the chances arise, then you invite pressure from the opposition and, without JB at the back, we are prone to conceding stupid goals.

Every fan has a right to bitch and moan about the manager, players etc. I'd say we have improved this season despite not having a class forward up top. Address that this summer and we will be in a better position again this time next year.

10 May 2026 19:23:02
I agree, blue potato, but if a player is having a bad day/game I firmly believe it's down to the manager to make changes. KDH had a stinker today. He's a quality player but he had an off day. Alcaraz was on the bench. He tormented Palace last season and nabbed an assist and goal. He brings him on in the dying stages of injury time.

That was possibly the worst decision I have seen Moyes make. Less than two minutes to change a game. What does that tell Alcaraz bar "I don't think you are good enough"? The decision baffles me. It was pointless. We weren't killing time, we were supposed to be out to win it.

10 May 2026 21:28:12
I think the worst decision was to bring subs on in extra time against City (excluding the injury) . I said to my son at the time, why bring on subs now, when all it does is give the ref the opportunity to add on time? Sadly, we know how that worked out!

10 May 2026 15:57:06
Well simply have to win our last two games.

10 May 2026 16:22:30
Can't see us beating either of them, GB. We should of been out of sight today. But I felt every time Palace attacked they was gonna get 1. Sunderland game will be a draw, and Spurs will beat us if they need to stay up.

Glad we are all pist off about missing out on European football (I know it's still possible) than s***ting areselfs about relegation.

10 May 2026 15:56:02
Lethargic, sloppy display. Again the game was there for the taking and we blew it. We can forget about European football now.

10 May 2026 15:51:58
I don't care if I get pelters for it, as I have thought it for a long time now. KDH is overrated. The lad is a midfielder and his passing is absolutely woeful.

May have come up with some important goals this season and fair play but calls for the England squad are ridiculous. He is nowhere near the player that Garner is.

{Ed025's Note - opinions i suppose BN but i think hes a good player mate, missed a few chances today but i think his link up play is very good mate..

Agree1 Disagree1

10 May 2026 16:03:46
Kdh was off it today, and should have not come out for the 2nd half, but as usual our Davey bottled it. Oh, and can Tarkoski and Kean just get out of the club, sick of the 2 of them.

10 May 2026 16:04:54
He had an off game today, still think he is one of our better players though.

10 May 2026 16:15:06
Be careful what you say about Keane, alat. I said he was garbage, and didn't deserve another contract, and a few people totally disagreed with me. Our back 4, bar Branthwaite and O'Brien, are crap.

10 May 2026 16:45:23
Kdh is a good player, just had a bad one today.

10 May 2026 17:36:13
Why be careful, Br? It's just an opinion, some share it and some don't. Tarks has been pretty awful this year, but Keane has had one of his best seasons for us. Doesn't mean he is the answer to our problems, but he has been a useful stop gap this season.

10 May 2026 13:51:25
Good to see Rohl keeps his place in the Team, deserved he was excellent last week.

10 May 2026 13:21:48
Same Team out again today as last game, told you so ??.

Agree2 Disagree0

10 May 2026 12:12:58
Same Team as the last game, that was so unlucky in the last two games; had it not been for diabolical refs we would have won both, so an emphatic win for us today 0-3. Beto gets a brace and Ndiaye our scorers.

10 May 2026 13:07:53
We've had luck in the past at Palace, and I'm hoping the European game has taken it out of them this weekend. I'd take 0-3 GB, but I'd also take 0-1, 1-2, or 2-3.

10 May 2026 13:29:57
So would I, mate, 3 points a must today if we want Europe.
