Watching replays of the Morgan Rogers 50/50 with James Garner. How on earth was it not a red card for Rogers, let alone a VAR referral, 2nd yellow or even a free-kick😡.
Comes to something when Dermot Gallagher finds it difficult to defend, as well as Cole Palmer's kicking ball away.
19 Oct 2026 17:15:08
Add it to the list. Probably get an apology from the PGMOL in a week or so. 0-0 at that point too so changes the game without a doubt.
21 Oct 2026 10:12:43
VAR decisions, as they relate to Everton, begins to raise the almost unthinkable question about corruption.
I'm not totally paranoid, and when a call goes against your side, and is clearly wrong, you have to accept that these things happen, and move on, but when these decisions become a pattern it does raise the unfortunate possibility that something else is going on.!
19 Oct 2026 09:12:37
I am and never have been fussed on DM as manager always thought he was just average but I must give him credit this season because he has been left with a paper thin squad with very little talent and an absolute donkey up front with no other opinion so 10 points so far is probably DM biggest achievement ever because if you look at our squad it's got relegation written all over it.
He keeps that team in the league that be his biggest achievement ever and we should thank him for it.
19 Oct 2026 09:24:22
That was supposed to say no other option not opinion 🤦♂️.
19 Oct 2026 10:18:06
7 games gone and that's our first defeat yes we've not won them all but we're in the top half not the bottom half for a change COYB.
19 Oct 2026 13:48:18
Its not just the last 7 games though mate, how many has he won out the past 20.
19 Oct 2026 15:10:55
It's the fact the football we play is pish - his recruitment is so odd - signs players and doesn't play them.
When we do win it's always a scrape - always get impression he would shake hands for 0-0 before ball has been kicked
Seems a decent guy but need to change mentality of club and start playing attacking football with high energy - not scrapping from start to finish with 10 behind the ball.
19 Oct 2026 15:43:49
Dino, the lack of squad replenishment has been frightening; it's true, but Moyes' obstinacy is too. He has not taken to some of the players imo, and that limits his options even more.
19 Oct 2026 17:20:04
He does have other options he just chooses not to use them. You could give him a squad of thirty players and he would still use the same eleven or twelve regardless of form. You think we should thank him for producing the most boring team in the league with boring defend at all costs tactics. Not a chance.
20 Oct 2026 08:07:27
If we stay in the league then yes have you seen how bad are players are another manager and we would be in trouble this suits Moyes boring crap football but at least we stay up our squad is talentless like really really bad.
20 Oct 2026 08:44:37
No it's not Dino, like so many you have been brainwashed into thinking this is the best we can do, and Moyes is amazing because all our players are crap blah blah.
We have very good players as a squad. The trouble is Moyes doesn't use them all. There should be competition for places and when a player is not performing then another player should take his place.
Moyes however keeps picking the same players regardless. Same players same tactics. Open your eyes man your excepting mediocrity because that's what this manager is selling you.
20 Oct 2026 09:29:51
I can't wait until he's gone forever. Stability? yes. Ambition? none whatsoever. The fact he played Rohl to stifle an opposition player at HOME tells you everything about Moyes.
Did it work? the Chelsea guy didn't even play. Instead of worrying about oppositions, let them worry about us!
Stop with the stupid excuses of small squads. We've got some really good talent but he refuses to pay them. George should be playing, Dibbling should be playing, Hayden should be playing, Charly should be playing. It so bloody frustrating.
Anyway, rant over. 7 months left and counting. Hurry up May!
20 Oct 2026 09:42:33
DM 64 games now 24 w 20 d 21 L. 37% win.
Silva had 40% but that's because he either won or lost rarely had draws.
Carlo has a better win % actually the best win%
Think the historic DM haters are in full voice and that's fair and their right but some nonsense is being heaped onto the fire.
We are tied for 6th. We all knew we failed yet again to replace Lukaku and yet old men who've watched the game for many decades have decided its DMs fault. I personally have enjoyed much of the football this last 12 months. Its relative to the dire soul destroying tripe we were forced up the last 5 or more FM seasons.
Its also telling that this season lots of my neutral pals have very much changed the constant relegation jokes to predicting we will be in Europe next season. Pundits and many other sites seem to be universally in agreement that the anti DM brigade are looneys who have short memories. Let him finish his sensible 2 years and clap him out of the building with respect. Chasing him out now is moronic and dangerous. Have you learnt nothing? The entitlement is hilarious and devoid of fact. i'm obviously missing the joke, scousers eh? Funny ain't they.
20 Oct 2026 09:44:37
65 games.
20 Oct 2026 10:27:39
Well you're certainly missing something FBS. But your sarcasm is still on point I see.
20 Oct 2026 10:34:46
I'll get you a Thesaurus for Christmas.
20 Oct 2026 13:59:01
Don't bother I don't like dinosaurs.
20 Oct 2026 12:12:31
We can add that to the dinosaur we have managing us FBS.
I know there are many moronic lunatics who have the same ambitions as Moyes that are fans of our club. I accept that we have needed a time for stability after the disaster of the last few years. However, unlike some of the sheep that simply accept mediocrity, some Evertonian supporters, do like to have the blinkers off and have a say when we play bloody awful and question the stupidity of the manager, his tactics and team selections.
I'll be honest I like sarcasm, but I also like to point out directly when someone is talking balls.
I'll get you a ball for Christmas.

19 Oct 2026 15:57:02
Good stuff, OS; pretty much every word rings true, mate.
19 Oct 2026 16:26:00
Hi O/S I wrote a piece today on how we need stability, I agree with a lot of what you've written, whether Moyes is the long term answer? maybe it would be nice to see what he could do with a stronger squad, maybe in the summer stability may be replaced with continuity and that Baines takes over with Seamus new regime but someone that knows the squad and that the squad know, what I know is that changing the manager mid season; unless you're in a relegation battle and all the options are done; is destabilising and counterproductive.
I'd rather be boring and pragmatic and only losing 1 game in 8, which isn't a bad return. You do the math.
19 Oct 2026 17:38:11
Losing one game in seven, winning two games in seven, and being the most boring team in the league. Ten points from a possible twenty one.
Our last seven games from last season saw us get three draws and four losses.
Three points from a possible twenty one.
So in our last fourteen games we have had Two wins, and seven draws. That's thirteen points from a possible forty two, which is a bloody awful return. I've done the maths.
19 Oct 2026 21:44:04
Hi BB the most boring team in the league is a matter of opinion, and I appreciate it's yours, while the result was disappointing on Saturday it was hardly boring and not just because Chelsea played some dynamic football, we played some dynamic football, but goals change games and while Chelsea's multi million pound squad scored theirs, we didn't and there you have it, we are short of players a striker or two most obviously, the failure to recruit players cannot be heaped onto Moyes, he's been let down and working with the team he has at his disposal. If you read my post at the top of the banter section you'll see my point of view.
Getting to the maths side of things, you can create any picture you like going back to previous seasons, this season however 7 games 10 points, should that continue throughout the remainder of the season sees us with 54-55 points, not title contenders but solid top half stability, not what I'm happy with, but not the relegation battles we've had in previous seasons.
Stability maybe a cup run and safety with this size squad is probably reasonable, Not good enough for Everton but it's where we are at the moment we have to accept we are not there yet. Hopefully with the right funds and recruitment we can be and the school of science will be back and the skys will be blue once more.
Boring stability is maybe all we can hope for until the next window is open then let's see how the second half goes.
UTFT.
20 Oct 2026 06:57:22
Big C I appreciate your thoughts and don't want to get into a row about this, but we had one attempt on goal and spent the majority of the game sitting back, and if any football was played then it was by Chelsea. Moyes reluctance to change formation or tactics or simply dropping players who are clearly out of form is not helping.
I can only hope that if and when we have new owners that they come in with a new mindset and give this club the kick up the arse it so desperately needs.
UTFT!
20 Oct 2026 15:21:25
Brass it's all about opinions and our thoughts on what's best for the club we love, I'm not saying I'm right, I'm just giving a point of view. You're expressing yours, it's all good, it would be boring if we all thought the same way. I don't mind a debate, I'm no stato so facts and figures ain't my thing they very rarely prove anything anyway.
Maybe it's the way I'm wired, I hate it when we lose love it when we win sometimes happy with a draw. Not good at relegation battles so maybe that's what my driver is for stability
All the best UTFT.

Reading that Martinez had surgery yesterday after his clash of heads with JB, wish him all the very best and a speedy recovery.
18 Oct 2026 19:55:31
I agree GB.

18 Oct 2026 20:01:59
Agree 100% OS, great article.
Dithering is far too set in his ways, unwilling (or unable) to put a plan B in place and always, always plays his favourites. In fact he looks out of his depth in the modern game. If you were TFG would you really be willing to give him any more of your cash, given the amount that's been splashed on expensive benchwarmers.
What do Hackney, Dibling, Alcaraz, or George actually need to do to get a start? Or to get on the pitch before the 86th minute? And don't get me started on Norgaard . he may be a great player but even I could see he was nowhere near ready to play yesterday.
Some serious judgement issues exist here . If we are going to play like yesterday we will get pumped every week . and no-one could blame the likes of Hackney, Dibling, etc if they wanted away, like O'Brien, who DM has also peed off by playing him out of position for a season, then dropping him when he dared to complain about it. At least if we put some younger, more direct players in we'd be easier on the eye and might actually cause the odd problem going forward . And don't get me started about Barry.
18 Oct 2026 16:47:41
Including the end of last season we have only won 2 of the last 14 league games and got 38 points from the last 38 games. Anyone thinking the first 6 unbeaten was much of an improvement is deluded. Yesterday's result put us into perspective and Gunners and Newcastle twice next will further show how poor we are.
18 Oct 2026 17:19:56
After watching the first half of Forest Arsenal, the game next week may be a contender for most boring of all time.
18 Oct 2026 18:16:08
It will be a game of attack versus defence, and we won't be doing the attacking.
{Ed025's Note - i would change things up Brass, my defence would be...Rohl, Jarrad, Tarks and Myko, a midfield of Hackney, Jack, KDH and Garner...even though the last 2 need a rest, and a forward 2 of George and Charly..
18 Oct 2026 18:19:05
Would be happy with a point from that game.
18 Oct 2026 18:22:25
Forest have had some good chances second half to score.
18 Oct 2026 14:59:34
A free beer to GB for joining the club 😄.
18 Oct 2026 15:29:51
Took me a long time mate but his time has finally run out this last match was the final straw for me, Everton deserve better and us long suffering fans deserve better, just can't see DM ever changing now time for a new Leader.
18 Oct 2026 15:31:56
Very good Nick!🤣.
18 Oct 2026 15:57:10
The guy from Brighton would be a good choice.
{Ed025's Note - good luck with that GB, he is very highly sought after mate..
18 Oct 2026 16:21:58
Yeah I know mate but would be superb for us.
18 Oct 2026 16:30:29
But with our current owners not committed to Everton but to AS Roma would he get the backing needed. Hate to say it but might be better waiting until we get new owners.
18 Oct 2026 16:39:50
Yeah I see that mate but also the higher up the table we finish has to make us a better financial deal I reckon and hopefully a new face would improve us.
18 Oct 2026 16:43:04
I would be amazed if they let Moyes go given that his contract ends this year, and we potentially have new owners coming in.
18 Oct 2026 16:59:06
I've always been disappointed with the Moyes second term. I didn't want him one bit, but see the wisdom in keeping him here this season just to get the best results from this threadbare squad.
It's clear now that the owners bought the club to flip. Can't do much about that.
Lots of dissatisfaction ahead this season but we will be ok I think. So I hope we can be bought by owners with ambition and marketing strength to give us a club who can compete.
Then we can start to realistically recruit a decent manager.
So for me it's still Moyes Out! But not just yet.
18 Oct 2026 17:11:52
I see your point mate but that's another season down the drain, will mid table if we can stay there be good enough.
18 Oct 2026 17:48:12
I know GB and it grinds my bones. But there just doesn't seem any point rushing into a replacement with the club up for sale and the squad being so small (criminally small) .
18 Oct 2026 18:21:31
We have been waiting soooooooo long for good times at Everton another season won't hurt, you bet your xxxxx it bloney well will I can't wait for the good times again.
19 Oct 2026 13:26:17
And he's flopped again. What a flake.
18 Oct 2026 12:20:46
It's very possible, Norgard was allowed to leave, at a bargain price, because, as a professional athlete, the man is Finished.
I know that this was his first football, in quite some time, and that he may improve givern time, but the signs do not look good, a player, coming back from a long lay off, can seem a bit rusty, but he was so far off the pace of the game, it was amazing that the manager put him on the pitch.
I'm not wishing this on the man, but there do seem genuine grounds for concern.
18 Oct 2026 15:08:54
He's played less than 60 minutes after a long lay off, let's give the fella a chance before writing him off.
18 Oct 2026 16:23:22
If he is not still 100% why did DM play him, so many other better choices available.
18 Oct 2026 16:43:57
Hackney?
18 Oct 2026 17:22:22
Personally think unfair to write Norgaard off. The lad clearly isn't fit. What frustrates me is that Moyes bangs the drum about 'match fit' and 'match ready' but only seems to apply it to our young stars. An old experienced head isn't held to that standard it seems.
18 Oct 2026 11:57:08
After yesterdays game I'm at last joining the DM out multitudes I've been more than patient with the guy and was even prepared to give him till Christmas to change our play but watching that game yesterday he will never change, we desperately need a striker as Barry is worse than useless we have Alcararaz, George and even a couple of youngsters we could at least try and change it but that won't change with DM, there is also Dibling, Hackney etc etc both very good players who could offer us something different they can no longer be classed as non Premiership ready, we blew it last season wth our last half a dozen games and I can see the same thing happening again this season we have started well will be criminal to carry on like this, Barry will never ever be a decent footballer time to move for a new manager who will use what's available.
18 Oct 2026 12:56:11
Jesus christ, you could knock me down with a feather, i never thought i would hear the day you said that GB but fair play to you, and to be honest i don't think there are many blues left who don't feel the same way.
18 Oct 2026 13:08:46
A spade is a spade mate i have supported this Club for over 65 years good times and not so good, he's had a fair crack of the whip and it hasn't worked it's time for change, the big question is mate who can we get to move us on.
18 Oct 2026 13:09:36
I have not suddenly joined the Dave Moyes fan club, but, given the situation we now find ourselves in, boring, or not, Moyes is the best hope that comes the summer, we are still a Premier League club.
Get to that point, then a new, and hopefully comited owner, and all options are open, Moyes contract will have run out, and short of him getting us into the champions League, it would seem likely there will be a new man in the dug out.
18 Oct 2026 13:11:56
GB always loved your positivity even if we didn't always agree on things. But it is hard to defend Moyes now, and bringing on Noorgard instead of Hackney (who in my opinion should be playing anyway) was quite frankly footballing suicide.
It's almost like Moyes holds a grudge against some of the players the way he treats them.
18 Oct 2026 13:18:38
For me its the complete lack of threat upfront and a lack of setting the team up to produce that threat.
Even when we're ahead in games, we never seem to try and kill the opposition off.
The problem with Moyes is what has always been the problem with him: He is a defender at heart and sets teams up not to lose / concede and those tactics are a hard watch.
{Ed025's Note - spot on for me Benny..
18 Oct 2026 13:21:29
Claudio Giraldez.
18 Oct 2026 13:34:16
The defender in Moyes has always held him back, imo. It's hard to decry him too much because he has too much history with us, but the guy seems to have lost the plot.
As we are going through investment / takeover issues atm, we can only hope he gets some kind of reality check in the meantime.
18 Oct 2026 13:50:02
Agree Noorgard he's not 100%it seemed Hackney had to be the best bet I'd we anted to try and get something from that game.
18 Oct 2026 13:59:43
I reckon he'll be at Wrexham in a few seasons
Just a hunch.
I only hope we get someone in who gets us playing again.
