Good point but could have been more and thought we were the better team after Mbuemo's goal. Great to see us have more chances and shots than the opposition even though we still seem blunt up front.
Refreshing to see the bench making a difference - even though it may have in part been forced on us rather than by design.
Grealish did what Grealish does, Hackney looks a great signing and Maitland-Niles, despite not being anyone's first choice rb signing, looked comfortable and just repaid some, if not all of his transfer fee.
Looking at some of the other teams in the league, and the fact so many have Europe to deal with, think we'll be more than ok but definitely need to strengthen squad numbers in January.

Didn't look comfortable at RB to me, mate, not surprising been away 3 years and not always in the team. Great goal and his confidence will build. Suspect, though, he is support to Rohl.
07 Sep 2026 13:03:27
Yeah, watching 2nd goal back now, he was out of position and slow to react to Shaw's overlapping run - but will take his performance for a 20 minute debut cameo!

I didn't go the match today as I am currently away for 2 weeks but first and foremost ?? Georgie goal was an absolute screamer. First and foremost I fought Johnson and Barry didn't offer nothing and should of been taking off earlier than expected. I fought the tarks tackle was absolutely brilliant in our box. The Mbueno goal, he just danced past 3 maybe 4 of our players, was a good goal to be fair to him. I fought Jimmy Jarrad and George were brilliant today then Sesko scored late after George scored in 83rd minute so I carried on watching it until and yes I am a complete and absolute wally.
I switched the TV off in the 93rd minute thinking United have won only for a message sent to me from a red saying Ainsley just scored a screamer. I fought he was taking the biscuit but he wasn't so I missed the goal and in future I'm gonna make sure I keep the TV on till the whistle goes but what an absolute donut I am but Everton the lads as a team had a right battle and well done for keeping up the momentum UTFT

We have swapped like for like, Johnson McNeil with Johnson faster. George has to play right, Grealish left. Johnson or even Keane can come on for the 3 legged Giraffe at some point.
06 Sep 2026 18:46:31
I was the same Andy. Gave up after Sesko's goal, having worked hard to get back into the game. Relieved with the point, but wish we'd stop giving the likes of Sesko goals when he's rubbish against other teams.
You're right, dms.
Grealish on left; George on right. Dibling to come on and replace one of them on the 70th ish minute. Johnson to play as back up to Barry.
Rotate Rohl with RB and CM cover. Think he could also cover LB at a push.

Was at a night with Duncan last night. What a man, unbelievable stories about all his time at the Toffees.

{Ed025's Note - do your best(just like the lads today) Bob..
06 Sep 2026 16:52:11
Well done Blues after all the negativity we've had the last few days from the media.
06 Sep 2026 16:52:45
Me too, Bob, on the Costa del Sol, and was the only blue in the pub! A lot of Cockney-sounding men though, all fuming with me jumping around like a mad man! Two great goals from us today.
06 Sep 2026 17:01:12
A drop of red is good for your heart, so enjoy GB, because I'm sure they will be more heart stopping moments this season. ?
{Ed025's Note - nothing red is good LHR..?

Felt like a win but missing the two points. The lads never gave up (though I was ready to walk away from it all after Sesko scored - felt like last season all over again) . Let’s hope this is the turning of BMD into a fortress of sorts.
Grealish was the difference. Like Ndiaye, he brought something creative to the game. He has to start with George on the right. Felt we were in the game when he played.
George played well and what a strike for his goal.
Johnson and Rohl didn’t get each other, and need more time. I’d keep Johnson on the bench and use him to give Barry a break in the second half every now and then.
Johnson should have had Shaw all day long, but never got into it.
Take a bow, AMN - what a strike! And it was side footed! The power and placement was immense.
Myko needs to get that tackle or block in for the first goal, and I don’t know what happened for the second - who was challenging Sesko?
Given the crap we have put up in the last week, it was a finish we needed. Shame it wasn’t 3 points but that first half could have seen us out the game easily.
06 Sep 2026 17:19:45
Good post, BR mate.
06 Sep 2026 16:32:59
Enjoy your holidays chaps. I'm on ny 4th pint of milk ?
{Ed025's Note - nice one Ernie.. I mean Nick..?

Yes, we have, maybe we have found our new striker, well done the lads.
06 Sep 2026 16:03:16
Have you seen Tete result, mate? Even you might be happy.
06 Sep 2026 16:05:27
What about Ainsley!!
{Ed025's Note - it was a beauty PHH..
06 Sep 2026 20:45:44
Cracking goal, looked a bit off the timing and pace, but to be expected. At the moment, Rohl is better in the RB position.
06 Sep 2026 15:13:55
Sorry to say Moyes went back to his usual ‘we’re inferior play for 0-0’ approach today against a side who lost 2-0 to Hull and were second best in large parts vs Ipswich.
Hoped it had changed considering he went for it vs Palace and Bournemouth, but a leopard can’t change its spots.

What an outlook, blimey, brilliant game and well worth our point, mate.
06 Sep 2026 20:48:09
PB7771, no idea what TV or where you sat today, but we deserved that and certainly not to lose. We have some very good players.
06 Sep 2026 15:13:42
Really soft goal to concede with Mykolenko totally left for dead by Mbueno.
Full Backs are our weakest positions with a real lack of quality both sides!
This summer we need a rebuilding of the squad!

Don't worry Waka! Kinnear has said we will get the fullbacks and a striker!!. ?
06 Sep 2026 17:49:29
To be fair, most RB's get skjnned by Mbueno. Myko was beaten, but how did he play rest of game.
06 Sep 2026 18:14:20
Actually, wakka57, Myko went with him, Mbueno ran across goal into CB's area.
06 Sep 2026 14:57:53

06 Sep 2026 13:01:55
No, but the bench looks a lot better. Given that Johnson and George are both starting, it looks like we are going to try and hit them on the break. Pace wise, Johnson should have Shaw in his pocket.
06 Sep 2026 12:43:37
Just been listening to Radio 5 and Colin Murray / David James (I know they're Reds) suggested we can still get Balogan on loan especially as he's been frozen out at Monaco. Is that true? Cud we still get him in on loan?

06 Sep 2026 12:59:02
Do we want him?
06 Sep 2026 13:02:13
No, and honestly, why would we want him now.
06 Sep 2026 15:51:23
Can get him on loan in January, but doubt we will, especially if the knee thing is truth.
06 Sep 2026 17:05:29
Think that bit has sailed.
