I know it's not front and center of our concerns, but is there any likely hood of a verdict in the appeal against that grossly unfair 30mill charge, awarded to Burnley.I recall that at the time we were told it would not impact on the transfer budget,am not convinced that this payment has not had a significant effect on our problems in the window, and that a successful appeal, would help in the January window .

Sorry early in the morning posting, started off left back then started think right back, obviously cash is a right back, but I don't see AMN as a right back he's done well and can be used as cover but see him more as a defensive midfielder, i like da Silver from Coventry, doesn't score many but he can attack and cause a lot more problems than mko, will try and work out my left from my right going forwrd.

Reading an article about garnacho struggles at villa.

The Friedkin group have done a good job of getting the finances of the club sorted out. They made a mistake in appointing Kinnear CEO in my opinion and it would be nice to see them attending some games.
But a change in ownership is not what we want at the moment. Some minor stake would be OK.
What we don't want is another Moshiri.

The fact they wanted to sell Armstrong, specifically because they don't watch our games or keep up to date with them, and assumed he wasn't an important player, says a lot.
What next? "Well Pickford played a lot of games apparently but we noticed he's over 30 and doesn't score any goals so we think this £10m bid from Spurs is a fantastic offer".
I appreciate them sorting out finances, but they clearly have very little interest in the football side of things.

They appointed Kinnear to manage the football side of things, mainly because he has experience with Arsenal and West Ham. at managing the transition into a new stadium and maximizing the profit from that. He has obviously not every good at the recruitment of players as shown at both Leeds and us.

Dibling should of started today, did well in the week and showed again today he's now ready for a run in the team, will do his confidence a lot of good.

He's got to start the next game. Give the kid a chance to get some minutes under his belt, learn from playing regularly.
I was on the fence about him but this season he's showed there's a talent in there.
Be interesting to see how he does against top level full backs but it's a good foundation to build on.
I would drop Johnson, use him as an impact player and start Diblibg. Basically swap roles.
That's the beauty of competition for places.
Johnson will need to improve if he wants his spot back.

I was one of his biggest critics last season but fair play, he's absolutely sat me down on that. Watching him on Wednesday night was a real eye opener and that recovery tackle after sprinting half the pitch was a huge moment and had the crowd on their feet. Happy to be wrong and made up for the young lad.

I am in the same boat Ace. I've not been his biggest fan but felt he has really stepped up this season (so far) . Thought his cross for KDH's header yesterday was pinpoint - shame the header wasn't on target or he'd have had an assist for sure.
Really hope he can get a few goals this season and set up some others.

He's a young man who has bags of quality and just needs time to settle. I had people taking the mick when I said he was like a young Grealish, but stick by that. As I said at the time watch Grealish early years at Villa. The lad is going to be class we just need to be patient.
