I am a local taxi driver, I have just picked up Sergiño Dest from John Lennon airport and taken him to the Titanic.

27 Aug 2026 12:42:40
Probably on holiday.

0

27 Aug 2026 13:10:55
Was he with Riquelme?

2

27 Aug 2026 13:49:27
Would he just a Taxi from the Airport?

1

27 Aug 2026 14:37:08
If he's travelling incognito or it's a random bloke having a laugh.

1

27 Aug 2026 16:12:09
You know it would be totally Everton to try and sign him after his release clause expired earlier this month. 🤦🏻‍♂️

0

27 Aug 2026 12:19:14
Trai Hume from Sunderland getting linked to us.

1

27 Aug 2026 12:42:15
Moyes type I think. Decent defender reminds me of Seamus.

0

27 Aug 2026 12:54:04
If he's as good as Seamus, a no brainer, mate.

0

27 Aug 2026 12:11:23
Nwaneri? Loan from Arsenal, anyone heard anything.

0

27 Aug 2026 11:01:38
Have been told this morning that Grealish will be joining Everton late in the window, Sunderland have tried and failed & Villa are the only other contenders for his signature. Jack has told his close friends and inner circle he will be joining Everton as that is his no.1 choice. Hope this really happens.

27 Aug 2026 11:25:19
Thank you very much, Elvis, sorry for the punt, mate, but do you know anything on Ilman? Would he be part of the deal going to City or is it a separate deal, and if Ilman does go, do you know on any replacements for him or any other targets in mind, mate.

0

27 Aug 2026 11:29:55
Your contacts have proven correct before, Elvis, so it looks like we will have another winger. If you hear a sniff about a RB or striker, please share to help elevate the feeling of frustration some of us have.

0

27 Aug 2026 11:38:20
Cheers, Elvis, mate. That news made my day.

1

27 Aug 2026 11:41:54
I really don't think that having five wide players is a bad thing. Two come on in every game to effect the game. One may carry a knock or need a rest. Bring it on.

0

27 Aug 2026 11:43:52
Illy going the other way according to talk crap.

2

27 Aug 2026 11:52:01
Love Grealish to sign, can operate at 10 and 8 as well.

0

27 Aug 2026 12:21:02
More good news if we get Jack back, mate.

2

27 Aug 2026 12:28:32
Think I would much rather him as a 10 instead of the wing, in fact, nail him to the floor on the edge of the centre circle.

2

27 Aug 2026 12:33:37
That made me chuckle, dms.

27 Aug 2026 07:01:29
According to fabrizio romero Jack grealish has had an offer from us and also Aston villa and will decide in next few days if its an loan with an obligation to buy say 20 mil and he wants to take a pay cut then its an absolute no brainer from me but can see him going to his boyhood club villa just wondering if any of the eds know anything more about this or any other targets that we might be looking at with the transfer window coming towards the end UTFT

1

27 Aug 2026 07:37:24
Could be part of the Ndiaye deal if that rumour is true.

0

27 Aug 2026 09:47:19
Don't think we need Grealish - look like we are playing more fast paced and have wingers - plus a big injury.
Focus on full backs and replacing Beto - I think we have a decent team.

6

27 Aug 2026 09:57:53
We're so used to having a weak squad, the idea of having options and the ability to rotate seems to be alien to our fans. Injuries, suspensions, and loss of form will all play a part. Let's get Jack as well as a striker and a defender or two.

3

27 Aug 2026 10:10:24
Why would we loan with an obligation to buy for £20m? He's out of contract on 30th June 2027, so can be signed for free.

Unless I am misunderstanding the post, as my brain is still processing the Barry hat trick.

4

27 Aug 2026 10:16:10
300k a week for an option seems too much.
Style has changed for the better and Jack holding the ball slowing things down doesn't suit us - especially Barry, who looks better when played quickly into him.

He's had a big injury so doubt he's fit and at level he was at last season.

If money is tight, much more important positions to fill.

We have a lot of midfielders / wingers so not something I'm worried about.

Appreciate others may think differently.

By the way - what a start to season - we have been really good to watch and have goal threats all over the- well happy so far.

6

27 Aug 2026 10:16:27
Sorry, my bad. That Southern Toffee was me, I was half brain dead. You were right, mate. His contract does expire in 12 months. 🤣

0

27 Aug 2026 12:30:01
Yes sibs, a lovely fella and good footballer, for me, though, slows the game down.

0

27 Aug 2026 13:50:32
His condition is absolutely fine. Have you not seen the training he was doing in Malaga or wherever it was? Not a shred of fat on the lad.

I think the way we set up last season, and the people around him, may have had something to do with that.

We have JB, midfield additions and players that have improved their level. Perhaps he won't need to slow it down as much.

He didn't slow it down at the start of the season, and got off to a great start - the assists v Brighton and Wolves spring to mind.

Give me Jack Grealish over George any day of the week.

Lad has a boat load of experience. Is possibly the best player in the league at drawing fouls and his first touch is immaculate. George runs a bit fast and shakes his feet about a bit.

1

27 Aug 2026 14:12:31
A loan is a possibility even though his contract is up at the end of the season. We did similar when taking Gareth Barry from Citybyears ago. Think we paid a nominal fee once the season was over so a deal like that could be brokered.

Jack is an excellent player who wants to come back and play for us, it's a no brainer to get this deal done. We need strength in depth and shouldn't turn our noses up about signing a player of his quality and experience. Get the deal done!

1

27 Aug 2026 14:53:52
Spot on, BP!

1

26 Aug 2026 22:12:04
I have a strong feeling that we see Nidaye go to City before the window is out.

They have let Marmoush and Savinho leave and Doku is injured. Foden and Cherki aren't wingers and we are still after Grealish.

I can see Ndiaye going for a load of cash and Grealish coming in as part of the deal.

Will that then give us the money to secure Doue as a RB? Johnson, George, Dibling and Grealish as the winger options. I think we would need another with a bit more experience and pace.

1

26 Aug 2026 22:54:09
Doku is due to be back in two to three weeks from what I understand, and they are signing that 22 year old Brazilian winger Allan to replace Savio or whatever he's calling himself this week.
They are also targeting Gakpo, but not sure they will persuade that lot into a sale.
And though Cherki are both viewed primarily as attacking midfielders, they do also play on both wings, but prefer to be the number 10.
I think the Doue situation is our recruitment team looking to try and get a lower price agreed, which could blow up in our faces, especially with PSG showing an interest now.

I think, or maybe more a hope, that we keep Ndiaye, take Grealish on loan.
Switching attention to Baku or Ben White might be a smarter move.
Bring in Bard and loan out Aznou before we destroy his development.
Sell Beto and sign Dju would be a good upgrade as well.

9

26 Aug 2026 23:26:34
That totally works for me, Southern Toffee. I would be getting the Bunting out.

6

26 Aug 2026 23:32:54
Tickled me about Savio ST!

I think we might be trying to drive the price down on Doue because we don't have the money to get him. If we make a sale, I think we will see us bid what Strasbourg want, and tbf, in this current market and the types of fees we are seeing, I would say he is worth it.

Bard and Doue would take us up so many levels, and we would see the knock on effect that adding them to the side would have on the players already out on the pitch for us.

Dju coming in would be the icing on the cake.

5

27 Aug 2026 07:29:41
Wouldn't be surprised if we are attempting loan to buy deals with some of them. We know the finances should improve next summer because of the new stadium, so we can afford it then.

1

27 Aug 2026 08:16:49
Doesn't sound as though Moyes is optimistic about new signings, but what's new. If we don't get a few more in, then this recruitment team have failed to identify players that we can realistically get. I could identify a Ferrari, but doesn't mean I could get one.

1

27 Aug 2026 10:17:50
I think Moyes is playing the game to put pressure on the recruitment team.
Diouf is going for £40m, so it's kind of where the market is.
It is a tough year for us, as the new finances aren't quite there yet this year, so loans we obligations is a way round it, as would be low fees with big add-ons that are easily achieved, just to stretch the budget as we need the additions now.

3

26 Aug 2026 22:04:39
Granted we can only play what’s in front of us but hope Moyes gets the credit for picking a team that most of would have picked given the availability of players - two games on a row.

Also, let’s be honest and look at what Moyes said in his interview.

Lots of what was said was taken out of context and for once let’s get throw some positivity behind the team and the manager and stop being so fickle like the s****.

5

26 Aug 2026 22:56:01
Good choice on the lineup, I thought O'Brien might get the nod though, but then I understand that maybe he didn't as head not in the right space.

1

27 Aug 2026 10:09:37
Now has to do the same against Wolves.

4

27 Aug 2026 11:37:22
Agree, think Moyes has to get credit for the selection last night. I suspect incommings will be minimal, and I can accept that. I would be highly surprised if Ndiaye left at this stage now. Also, I think keep O'Brien unless we have a readymade replacement. Would love Grealish as he gives us another dimension, but I think it's more important to keep what we have.

26 Aug 2026 21:56:18
Good performance tonight nice to see dibling starting and garner back in squad after his injury which is good and am happy for Barry to get a hat trick as well should give him the confidence that the lad needs but ed 025 there's few rumours online saying city are going to throw an 80 mil bid for ilman just wondering have you heard anything mate and if he does go which will be a massive lose by the way have we got any other wingers lined up that you might know of UTFT

1

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - i think a lot of it is just speculation Andy, i would be devastated if he went this late in the window mate..

0

26 Aug 2026 22:19:42
I would be gutted if he was to go. I wouldnt blame him, like tbh, but a few people have mentioned that Jacob Murphy could be his replacement, surly not, and no disrespect to Murphy, by the way.

I expect us to sign a better replacement if Ilman was to leave, cause it would be a huge gap to fill. Just hope its speculation, as you say, mate.

26 Aug 2026 10:47:23
Everton have not given up on Daniel Munoz and remain in talks over a move for the Crystal Palace player. Meanwhile Tottenham are watching the developments closely, but with a different plan in mind.
I know not many transfers are straight forward, but you would have thought this would have possibly been one of the easier ones to get across the line.

I guess it must be haggling about the transfer fee and the schedule of payments; that's what normally seems to hold us up. But if this is the pace of transfer dealings, we have no chance of completing many deals before the deadline.

1

26 Aug 2026 11:18:00
Is he better than what we have, even though our best pair are not specialists? Ruhl is growing into it, and Garner has international experience. £25 mill, given the previous paragraph, is in my view too steep. Why are a team as 'bad' (some say) as Palace willing to sell?

0

26 Aug 2026 11:28:37
With Hackney, Armstrong, KDH, Alcaraz and Norgaard being able to play in the middle three, you could argue that Rohl and Garner are good right back options. I'm honestly more concerned about a striker and a left back. If Aznou isn't fancied, Myk can be understudy, but an upgrade is required. Hopefully we get all three.

1

26 Aug 2026 11:43:10
I think we could have got Munoz quite quickly but as I see it, I don't think he's our top target and that's why we haven't signed him yet. I believe Doue and Baku are ahead of him on our right back priority list, and both still available, so will have to wait and see.

As I mentioned previously, I would be happy with any of them 3. I think Doue is holding out for a Champions League club.

1

26 Aug 2026 12:33:05
I would have Doue as my preferred, and I do rate Ridle Baku. I am not as sold on Munoz as a long term solution.
I also agree that there are good options in the squad in Garner and Rohl, if they are keen to do their part for the squad.
Signing Bard for left back would allow Aznou to gain experience on loan.

If Moyes moves on at the end of his contract, whoever comes in would have a better player.

Seeing Brentford are tying up a deal for Diouf for £40m, it might be time to suck it up and just make the fee work for Doue.

1

26 Aug 2026 12:52:41
Doue is, I think, our preference, but alas we are looking for loans or loan to buy.

0

26 Aug 2026 13:20:17
Striker Franculino being mentioned again.

1

26 Aug 2026 13:35:58
So we should be interested in Franculino Dju. He's not just better than what we have, he's streets ahead.

Problem is, we couldn't just hoof the ball up to him and hope for the best. Plus, would Moyes want a season to integrate him when he's good enough now?

0

26 Aug 2026 14:31:27
Moyes handed Barry his debut in August last year, so no is the answer.

2

26 Aug 2026 14:32:44
I don't see us being a hoff it up team this season, our midfield and wingers are so much better with the ball than in recent seasons.

4

26 Aug 2026 15:09:52
Really like Dju, I wrote a bit on him the other day, different profile to Barry and Beto, he is still physical, but despite being 6'1, is not prolific in the air, but what he does well is accurate shooting and high chance conversion.

Sharp turn of pace and acceleration, and very good at exploiting spaces.
Can also, and has, played as second striker, right wing, as well as Centre Forward.
I know it's a low bar, but so much better than Beto with the ball played into him.

26 Aug 2026 15:21:09
People need to stop saying Rohl is "growing" into the RB role.
You're giving Moyes the "ok" to keep messing up players' careers.
He's forced O'Brien to walk away, as the lad knows he's not a RB, he's a CH who has looked fantastic in his natural position (I think 1 goal conceded.) when he plays there.
Now Merlin Rohl is an attacking midfielder, and he so rightly needs to be nurtured into becoming the complete midfielder he will surely become.
Moyes, on the other hand, is ready to hamper his development and push him into an unnatural RB position just so we don't have to spend money getting adequate players in for the RB position, and therefore risks the same scenario he has right now with O'Brien.

Many players will leave or want to leave due to Moyes' decisions regarding where these players play.
Getting really sick of this man now, I really am, and a few good results to start the season with won't stop the inevitable mid season rot that will come due to injuries/suspensions.

2

26 Aug 2026 16:41:41
Do you think Moyes is making decisions based on what fans on here say or write? DM can make a terrible decision all on his own. I doubt he knows this forum exists.

6

26 Aug 2026 19:14:11
Bleeds Blue. Spot on. Our!! Expert knowledge, fact! Mixed in with guesswork and media crap, all scoured from hours and hours of search engines mean F all. Makes not one difference to Moyes decision making.

What I do believe is days, weeks, months are taken up scouting, observing players, lists are made and narrowed down, then the couches are searched with anything found put at the negotiators disposal.

26 Aug 2026 19:45:40
Neither Rohl nor Garner should be playing RB. Just sign a RB ffs.

Garner is comfortably the best CM we have, and Rohl, given the chance to play there, is a brilliant midfielder, which is why I was very pleased when we brought the lad in.

Everyone asks for strength in depth like the top teams, but then, when we have it, we want them to play in a completely different position.

3

27 Aug 2026 17:19:45
O'Brien done ok at RB, the 1st half of last season but you could see he was very limited and that proved to be over the season. Rohl has done ok too at RB, but he also has limitations at RB, and I thought he was caught out of position a few times last night, which could and should have cost us a goal. Garner is probably the best RB we have at the club, but he is our best CM so has to play there.

We need a RB and I think we will get one before the window closes. Kinnear's interview on ToffeeTV has me believing a RB is coming. I just hope he hasn't spoken too soon, again, like he did in his program notes for the Sunderland game last season.

I think O'Brien wants to leave because he did not look happy at the game last night.

£30 million for Beto supposedly offered by Como. Surely we would take that.

1

26 Aug 2026 09:31:46
Honestly can't believe it's true. Seems like paper talk to me. If it is, though, a few of us fans will literally carry him there, ferries and all.

3

26 Aug 2026 10:24:16
Even if it is Euro 30 mill, that is still £25 mill. How much did we pay for him?

0

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - £25.75m mate..

0

26 Aug 2026 11:18:39
Even worse ED 🤣

1

26 Aug 2026 11:34:42
If we were Chelsea we'd get £60m for him. 🤣

2

26 Aug 2026 12:36:11
I think the reports reference 30m euros, which is what our agreement was for him, not that they have bid that for him.

0

26 Aug 2026 13:32:41
Sounds like it's both Fiorentina and Como interested - all depending on whether Como get Moise Keane from Fiorentina as to which one he ends up with. Please let this happen so we can nab Gouiri from Marseille.

0

26 Aug 2026 15:52:55
From what I've read, Como have offered for Moise Kean, and it's Fiorentina who are looking at Beto as a replacement - with no price quoted.

He's in the last year of his contract and been a flop, the idea any club would offer more than £15m is crazy. I'm pretty certain the 30m in question is for Kean.
