Another Gooners player we are looking at apparently is Ethan Nwaneri hmmmmm.
{Ed025's Note - the next Eddie Nketiah for me..

13 Jan 2026 13:52:06
Not many things I disagree with you on Ed tbf mate but I mentioned that we should go for this lad in the summer with how many signings they made.
Lad is mustard imo. Sit him in that 10 for us please.
{Ed025's Note - he has potential BN, but we have been down that road mate and look how that has worked out..
Agree0
13 Jan 2026 16:42:28
I agree with BN on this one, I’d also put him straight in as a 10 if we can get him, Dewsbury Hall back to 8 and then Grealish one side, Ndiaye on the other, that looks tasty to me.
Nwaneri can also play both flanks so fabulous options if we can get him in. That with obviously a right back and a New centre forward and that would do for me.
Agree1
13 Jan 2026 17:30:04
I guess a point I did miss Ed, is that there would be no point in signing him, as Moyes wouldn't play him for 2 years until he exits his teen years haha!
Col has it spot on there with the setup though.
Agree0
13 Jan 2026 18:54:09
I'd take him in a heartbeat, if moyes played him.
Agree0
13 Jan 2026 12:12:48
Looks like Patterson is up for sale! I have been told.
Believable2
13 Jan 2026 12:30:44
They can’t sell him until the they have a replacement lined up, surely!
Agree0
13 Jan 2026 13:02:47
Part of the Emil Holm deal apparently mate player plus cash.
Agree1
13 Jan 2026 18:38:52
I thought he'd been up for sale for the last 3 years 🤔.
Agree0
12 Jan 2026 17:49:51
The rumour about Emil Holm appears true apparently we have now made an offer for him, a defender from Bologna.
Believable3
12 Jan 2026 18:39:27
His injury record is a bit iffy someone posted earlier so he'll fit right in haha.
Agree1
11 Jan 2026 12:35:50
Ben White from Arsenal another player linked with us.
Believable7
11 Jan 2026 13:46:56
I'd take ben white all day long.
Agree2
11 Jan 2026 14:09:04
Oi would play him ahead of Beto and Barry any day.
Agree1
11 Jan 2026 15:46:34
No good going forward.
Agree1
11 Jan 2026 15:52:00
Quite good going forward.
Agree5
11 Jan 2026 16:18:12
Not worth £40 million though.
Agree1
11 Jan 2026 16:21:29
Even as a full back he's still better than our two strikers.
Agree3
11 Jan 2026 17:22:43
In that case play Keane.
Agree1
11 Jan 2026 18:26:13
Ben White is a very good player. He’d be a great signing in my opinion.
Agree3
11 Jan 2026 18:41:22
He would that JB.
Agree3
11 Jan 2026 22:33:48
Not that good going forward? His last 2 full seasons with Arsenal before Timber joined and his latest injury he got 2 goals and 5 assists and then 4 goals and 5 assists.
Agree0
12 Jan 2026 07:40:03
Very similar to O'Brien, started out as a central defender, not of the type we need in my opinion, you will be all slagging off after a few games,
Agree1
12 Jan 2026 07:41:13
BN yes very similar to Michael Keane.
Agree0
12 Jan 2026 08:08:49
White is an attacking FB! Who said no good going forward! Jeez. As to Rashford (saintly emoji) GB and ED.
Agree0
12 Jan 2026 08:25:45
I said.
Agree2
12 Jan 2026 09:57:57
Whilst may be better than what we have.
He’s on a rumoured £150k per week at Arsenal and still has 2 and a half years left on his contract.
Financially will be expensive and think these are the type of deals we need to be moving away from now moshiri no longer in charge.
Would hope there are decent players available for both less wages and less of a transfer fee.
Only way White makes sense is if it’s a loan.
Agree2
12 Jan 2026 10:08:19
I sincerely hope we don’t waste part of our summer budget on Ben White.
Agree1
12 Jan 2026 10:49:15
He is significantly better rb option that what we currently have. Plus can easily play CB and CDM. i'd significantly him all day long.
Agree1
12 Jan 2026 12:08:23
We don’t need him, we don’t need a full back that can play centre back we need a specialised full back in the likes of Coleman, a full back is a special position, save our money, he’s not worth it, plus we f he was that good he would of played more games for England, similar type to Ben Godfrey, loads of pace.
{Ed025's Note - i think he is OK Uran but like you i would prefer a specialist player who is a proper full back and not a hybrid, and the money it would take to get him puts me off as well mate..
Agree1
12 Jan 2026 12:39:02
Like Michael Keane. Michael Keane does not create goals, he puts the ball in the net on the odd occasion - perhaps once every 12 games at best.
He hasn't played for England more because he chose not to under Southgate and Steve Holland after a disagreement in camp.
Agree0
12 Jan 2026 14:27:06
Whatever blue nose, your opinion is only your opinion just like mine, ok let’s agree you like him and would you would like him to sign for Everton in the January window, Not for me, Never just wasting of money that we need for a striker and a special-ist left and right back
What type of goals did he score? bye the way.
Agree0
12 Jan 2026 16:14:33
I haven't shared any opinions tbh. You posted two - 1. He is no good going forward and 2. He is like Michael Keane. I simply replied with statistics for both goals scored and assists, nothing more.
I can't agree with that because no, I don't particularly like him, nor do I want him to sign for Everton. I don't know where you have got that from any of the above posts.
A loan would make sense to get us to summer because he is head and shoulders above what we have now but I have already said who would be a great fit for us in previous posts and that is any of the below.
Juanlu Sánchez - Great energy and adept in both defence and attack.
Guela Doué - Comfortable with the ball at his feet and decent delivery/passer. Very good in 1v1 situations.
Jon Aramburu - Tenacious and energetic and puts up ridiculous defensive numbers. Crossing let's him down a bit but gets up and down very well.
Omar El Hilali - Another defensive monster but probably better in possession than the lad above. Progressive passes are decent and starts attacks often.
José Ángel Carmona - Offers loads of width and plays very advanced so maybe not Moyes cup of tea. Uses both overlaps and underlaps to give the winger options of an out-ball or the opportunity to cut inside.
Wesley - Friedkins/Roma will likely want to keep hold of him.
Agree1
12 Jan 2026 16:26:45
Sorry I missed the last part of your post.
Quite the variety tbf as he is technically a decent football player. Headers (Bournemouth) . Weaker foot strikes into the bottom bin (Sheff Utd) . Back post tap-ins (Leeds, Bourenmouth) . Shearer-esque finishes against Chelsea, albeit probably a cross.
As well as popping up with goals occasionally, he puts a lovely cross in, can play raking balls to switch the play but most importantly is a top quality defender.
Agree1
12 Jan 2026 14:30:27
Ed reply, I think he’s OK also Ed but not for me at Everton, not the type we should be spending money on, let him stay at Arsenal and win his place back in the team and collect a Medal for winning the Premiership.
{Ed025's Note - he looks like a stop gap signing to me Uran rather than a progressive signing, im not saying he could not do a job for us mate and is better than what we have, but a lot would depend on the fee and the wage structure for me..
Agree1
12 Jan 2026 17:14:05
Well done Blue nose for an in-depth reply, there could be a case for a misunderstanding but when you come over with derogatory comments against my personal opinion I then see it very clear that you would like him and would like him too sign for Everton and spend millions on him otherwise why have a go at some one just expressing their personal opinion!
The list of full backs that you have listed are of a completely different type to White, in which I will do some more reach them, also don’t forget we tried to sign White went he played for Brighton which was understandable at that time when he was around 23/24 years old
My opinion, is the same as Ed very good player but definitely not the type we need to spend a fortune on, along with extremely high wages, let him stay at Arsenal to the end of his contract and win a medal this season.
Agree0
12 Jan 2026 17:28:42
Blue nose
Adrien Truffert is my type of full back that the club needs, in my opinion.
Agree0
12 Jan 2026 17:49:25
I think it comes down to what you perceive to be derogatory/having a go tbh Uran. As I say, I simply replied with stats, nothing more due to you saying he wasn’t good going forward.
Truffert is very good Uran. We were linked heavily when he was still in France. Would cost a lot now I think.
We don’t need to worry about White as Arsenal will not let him go imo.
Agree0
12 Jan 2026 19:34:58
At least we see eye to eye on Truffert or this type of full back Blue nose, that’s good news for me over the White situation, thanks for the Update.
Agree1
12 Jan 2026 20:31:37
Can’t spend £40m on a stop gap (if that’s the real cost)
{Ed025's Note - i would look at Malen from Villa myself, looks like hes going to Roma on loan with an option to buy for £25m, far better than what we have and after all they are our sister club..
Agree1
12 Jan 2026 21:34:08
I will check him out Ed.
Agree0
12 Jan 2026 21:39:01
Yes he’s a good one for sure Ed, at first I thought you were talking over full back, he would certainly make a difference to our attacking play.
{Ed025's Note - hes something different to what we have Uran, we need to get away from all this just lump it to the big man and hope for 2nd phase ball imo mate..
Agree0
13 Jan 2026 01:26:29
That is a great shout Ed. I still don't know why he isn't used more at Villa. He hasn't even managed 650 minutes this season in the PL but still has 4 goals and 2 assists. He always put up decent numbers for Dortmund and PSV as well.
{Ed025's Note - when i have seen him BN he has always looked very mobile and has a good turn of speed, we may have just missed the boat though mate but he is the type of player we should be looking for imo..
Agree0
13 Jan 2026 08:26:22
Well spotted Ed, you’re right after watching a few clips of him he’s the type of player we need in the final third. Do you know if Everton are interested in him?
{Ed025's Note - not that i know of Uran but hes certainly the type that could make a difference and should be looking at mate..
Agree0
13 Jan 2026 08:58:39
Definitely Ed, when you think about the Everton situation if they can’t see the value of this type of player then there is something seriously wrong with the recruitment or the thinking behind the recruitment policy, especially when certain quality players become available on your doorstep,
{Ed025's Note - he just seemed a good option to me Uran, Villa were looking to free up some cash and have more than enough options up front and if Roma could see the opportunity then why couldn,t we?, just another instance of incompetence from our useless recruitment team mate..
Agree0
13 Jan 2026 10:15:39
Exactly Ed, I have just read that the deal has been agreed with Roma a loan with an option to by At 29m, same amount we paid for Beto, surely he can’t be out of our price range, good enough for Roma but of no interest to Everton
Probably we will now get one of Roma’s strikers!
{Ed025's Note - it could be an opportunity missed Uran, as you say mate we will probably go for a Roma player they dont want now..
Agree1
13 Jan 2026 13:11:43
Shame to have missed him (that is if we were after him) , not expensive and very good, quick, mobile CF.
{Ed025's Note - yeah FJ as soon as i seen Villa were looking to offload him mate i thought he would be a good fit for us..
Agree0
10 Jan 2026 18:07:38
Sky saying we are looking at bring in Brooke Norton Cuffy and Emil Holm two serie A right backs.

11 Jan 2026 11:39:16
We all know what we need Elvis, we need many players mate.
Agree1
11 Jan 2026 12:09:19
I'd take either. Never heard of Coleman till he pulled on a blue shirt. Agree still need a finisher.
Agree0
11 Jan 2026 12:27:11
So go from no right backs to two. Must be a sale on buy one get one free.

11 Jan 2026 12:31:44
Tesco I reckon mate.
{Ed025's Note - well "every little helps" GB.. :)

11 Jan 2026 12:52:05
We don’t even have a Tesco over here Ed mate 😂😂.
{Ed025's Note - bloody hell...have you got electricity yet mate?.. :)

{Ed025's Note - love it mate..

09 Jan 2026 11:36:31
Gabriel Sara linked to us. What a signing that would be. A complete midfielder. Seems a brilliant price too, unsure why he would be so cheap in todays market. Hopefully this one has some legs but I can't see it myself.
Believable1
09 Jan 2026 12:39:55
Also Zaharia El Quandi being mentioned as well mate.
Agree1
09 Jan 2026 13:35:46
Hes good in a winning possession based team. Saw him. at Norwich and defensively a worry for Prem in my opinion. Gave Jan Molby vibes.
Agree0
09 Jan 2026 14:37:37
With Grealish and Ndiaye either side of him, I think he would sit nicely in the middle Cookie. As long as we have industrious ball winners behind him of course.
He played a bit further forward for Norwich in front of Nunez and McLean but it seems Gala are sitting him deeper now and his defensive game has improved as a result.
I think he would be a good addition as he could play all through the midfield. Big, strong, shields the ball well and has a decent pass on him.
Agree1
09 Jan 2026 16:36:11
Leo Periera another defender linked with us.
Agree0
09 Jan 2026 16:58:48

10 Jan 2026 17:16:25
Patterson had a good game today and did last game he played. Moyes fixation with O'Brien at RB is baffling.
{Ed025's Note - yeah he done ok DMS..
Agree0
10 Jan 2026 17:56:49
Patterson did well but you could see his frustration with Dibling. That kid needs a spell in U21's to try get his game back on track. Only loan he could have is back to Southampton this season as he's played for them and us this season, so he can't go to a 3rd club.
{Ed025's Note - i think we could get away with saying he hasn,t played for us Dentie mate.. :)
Agree0
11 Jan 2026 22:06:22
True Ed.
Agree0
06 Jan 2026 18:29:27
Callum Wilson till the end of the season? Has had his contract terminated at West Ham.
Believable5
06 Jan 2026 19:03:04
always felt like he was destined to play for us one day, but assumed that day had passed by now 😅 would definitely have over B&B, even if only til the end of the season while the scouts *try* find someone competent.
Agree0
06 Jan 2026 19:44:16
His contract has been terminated by mutual consent… What does that tell us?
Is he not good enough?
Is he retiring?
Is he feeling he isn’t getting enough game time?
I’m not sure about this one.
Agree0
06 Jan 2026 20:10:21
No they have just signed two new players, so he knows he won’t get another game.
Agree0
06 Jan 2026 21:22:33
Yeah wet spam signed 2 strikers who are now ahead of him in pecking order.
Hes been told he’s 3rd/4th choice and he’s on a pay as you play contract, so they agreed he will look for another club.
I don’t think he’s good enough now but on a pay as you play contract it could be worth a shout. B + B could learn a thing or two if he stayed fit 😅
Seems to have a good attitude though.
Agree0
07 Jan 2026 12:40:27
He was on a pay as you play deal. I think the decision was more to minimise financial risk. So I understand the mutual consent decision.
Agree0
02 Jan 2026 14:25:26
Just read some links to Guela Doue. Fancied this lad whilst he was at Rennes and he has only grown into himself more since the move to Strasbourg. He has recently been called up to his national side as well signifying his progression.
Him and the magician on the right side would give teams nightmares.
Perhaps he could ask his brother to come and join the revolution too!
Believable3
05 Jan 2026 15:15:04
Never heard of him. Just like I had never heard of Beto or Barry.
Agree0
05 Jan 2026 16:59:27
He is not particularly well known Brass. Another Munoz type that has attributes that would help most sides. He is the brother of Doue (PSG) , if you know him.

Sorry mate don't know him either. Right time to start taking things more seriously, and start watching other leagues.
Agree0
07 Jan 2026 18:39:57
What position does he play?
Agree0
09 Jan 2026 11:58:20
RB who can fill in in the middle. we've been linked with a million RBs for a reason.
Agree0
02 Jan 2026 14:19:36
Good news on the magician. Injury not too bad and should return to training shortly.
Believable2
01 Jan 2026 18:24:09
Ricardo Pepi being linked with us from PSV, looks like he knows where the back of the net is.
Believable3
01 Jan 2026 19:17:36
Yuri FW is better.
Agree1
01 Jan 2026 19:41:35
They would both be an upgrade on what we have mate.
Agree3
01 Jan 2026 20:58:19
I think he's another risk and not what we need, but big name in America so would at least be a smart business from a commercial standpoint.
Agree1
02 Jan 2026 00:48:02
I wouldn't want either coming in tbh. Both will be around 30+ million and would represent a sideways move or worse for me. Much smarter signings out there and likely cheaper.
Agree0
02 Jan 2026 00:52:10
Go an get one of the Hoffenheim lads, although Asllani may be 6 months too late, as the likes of Bayern, Dortmund and Barcelona sniffing around now. Lemperle aka Big Dunc it is then.
Agree1
02 Jan 2026 12:14:56
They all know where the back of the net is. Trouble is they struggle to put the ball there.
Agree2
02 Jan 2026 13:03:14
GB - how would they be an upgrade?
As we’re seeing with both Beto and Barry it’s not that easy to settle into the league.
Why do you think it would be any different for the players you mention as being upgrades?
It’s more than likely they’ll take time to adjust and that’ll set us further back.
If it’s a choice between another striker joining with no premier league experience or sticking with what we have, I’d rather stick with Barry and Beto.
Agree6
02 Jan 2026 14:13:01
GD is spot on there tbf.
Nothing I have seen of Alberto or Pepi indicate to me that they would do well in the PL. You may as well call it a different sport due to the difference in quality of defenders and more importantly GK's in the PL. No way do they get the chances in the PL that they get in their respective leagues.
Don't get me wrong, I think we should sell Beto if we have the chance because we know what he is and he has regressed if anything. Barry on the other hand, although I don't see him as a natural finisher, is showing improvement in his all-round game and has previous proof or his scope for improvement whilst at his past teams and he is still young enough to retain value etc.
There isn't anyone in the PL that we can realistically bring in other than Strand Larsen and Wolves will want minimum 40m for him. He has also fallen off a cliff from last season, albeit probably due to how bad Wolves are.
If you look across the whole of Europe there are not many goalscorers around. I think Brentfords lad currently sits as the 3rd top scorer in Europe, behind only Haaland and Mbappe which says it all really. It is a bit of an impossible task to bring one in.
I would rather go out to Europe and get a player that has multiple facets to his game, that can bring the best out of the players around him, whilst being a goal threat himself, a' la Bobby Firmino.
I would love us to go after Lemperle. Hoffenheim have multiple forwards, so I think they would already be set to lose him. He is a good age, is built for the PL, good movement in the box, good finisher and great in the air. Most importantly he has good feet and can pass well, meaning that he could link up with our attacking players well.
The lad is built for Everton and the fans would love him. One touch finishing like Jelavic but Big Dunc in the air. Get him signed up immediately Blues!
Agree1
02 Jan 2026 14:22:40
Both have a far better goal average per game mate.
Agree1
02 Jan 2026 16:50:19
Slightly unfair to compare imo mate. Pepi is playing in the Eredivisie and Alberto has been in Brazil his entire career bar a short spell at Zenit where he flopped. In contrast Barry has played in arguably the 2 hardest leagues in the world.
There are a few strikers struggling in the PL this year and some that have far more experience plying their trade in it than Barry.
Evanilson
Muniz
Cunha
Isak
Stand Larsen
I personally don't think he is the no9 for us but I would rather allow him the opportunity to improve and get better and think getting the 2 mentioned in would be at most a sideways move but probably a backwards one. Not only that, we would have to fork out the same amount of money as Barry cost us.
Agree0
02 Jan 2026 18:59:24
We won’t get a striker from the Premiership mate so who knows how good they will be.
Agree1
03 Jan 2026 16:03:46
Nobody knows how good they’ll be GB and that’s my point.
You’re saying they’d both be an upgrade but there is absolutely know way of knowing if that’s the case.
Regardless of how well they’re doing in respective leagues, transferring that to the premier league is no guarantee.
January we can’t be throwing money at unproven players as it’s a notoriously difficult window to buy in with prices higher than should be and there’s also no time to allow players to integrate with the squad.
This window we should be looking at picking up a couple of loans or cheap players (those nearing end of contract or out of contract) that will add a bit of quality to the squad rather than splashing cash on more potential and unproven players.
Agree2
01 Jan 2026 11:19:11
Looks like Armstrong has been recalled from his loan. I don't think we had a choice when you consider the bench we had against Forest.
Happy New Year Blues.
Believable0
01 Jan 2026 12:05:02
He will get a good chance this season mate.
Agree0
01 Jan 2026 13:35:19
Really pleased with this, like a new signing, and we certainly need the numbers. Can slot into either the 10 or the 8 position. Now let’s see a couple of loan deals for a full back and a striker.
Agree0
01 Jan 2026 14:15:31
Well I hope and pray we will get in a proven striker but have my doubts for the January window. No good getting another B or B. If we get a young player with potential Moyes will not play him for the normal reasons so why bother? If we can't get a proven goalscorer who can contribute right away let's wait until the summer and use the available money wisely.
