In regards to transfers and finances, that is well out our control and true understanding. It is not close by a country mile to a fantasy league .
My question can only be: is Everton progressing properly towards financial and regulatory stability and sustainability, or are they still lagging behind?
If Everton cannot maintain sustainability, the table at the end of May is kind of irrelevant.

Not sure what abuse ed002 has received on here today. Know we have had a bit of dialogue in terms of our transfer targets and potential spend but at no stage was anything abusive certainly not on my part if that's what your relating to. Hope your referring to other sites.

We have a number of loans ending and contracts ending. Holgate may show back up as may Maupay.
Of the players out of contract, would we want to sign any of them. Gana or Gomes perhaps?
It appears a number of the U21's contracts are up. Are any of them PL-worthy (as if all of our senior team players are PL-worthy) ?

We have been managed poorly in the last decade.
Clearly we have spent too much on salaries, signings, and managers.
To what degree has Everton under-performed in bringing in money? How does out match day income, sponsorships, and sales of club related materials compare to comparable mid-table clubs?
To what degree was losing Usminov and his millions and minions contributing to the deficits?
It's the oldest conundrum in the modern world, buying a Mercedes on a Toyota budget.
I guess we just need to win the FA Cup.

Usminov was our main sponsor, so losing him was significant.
As for the FA Cup. Well to put it into context getting through to the next round with Gomes goal just about paid his wages for the week. Have a look on the Match Talk page where there is a break down of what a club gets per round.

Losing Usmanov’s sponsorship money was a significant blow, however I also think he was mainly the puppet master behind Farhad and some of the awful mismanagement probably falls down to him as well. Although I think that is less significant than the lost sponsorship.
