Standard Moyes approach that everyone expected. Let's hope we get the 0-0 he’s after.

Spurs looking good, we haven't turned up yet, get Jack on and Hackney on early enough in the 2nd half, and I fancy us for a result. Mykolenko has been given the run around and is way off it, Barry is just Barry and Johnson has been non existent. It's what I expected from listening to the press conferences, to be honest.

12 Sep 2026 18:23:07
It's there to win. We need to play with some swagger, Grealish for Johnson and have a go. They aren't solid at the back.

12 Sep 2026 12:49:43
Cmon you Blues, time to give Spurs a walloping. Bring it on.

I might be wrong but did Man City only get to where they are because they bought loads of players before the FFP was bought in so when they sold them it made them have a load of money. Or is it down to the owners and their sponsorship now or was it a bit of both.

Similar to Chelsea when Abramovich pumped loads of money into them. I know you can't do that now unless you get a generation of kids like utd did where we aren't having to spend £100m a season.

City's owners got their cousins to sponsor the ground and shirts for £800 million over 4 years or something stupid like that. It's them sort of deals they were doing. We will never find out. They will get a fine and 2 transfer window bans, which won't bother them coz they probably have 1 billion pounds worth of players just sat on the bench.

12 Sep 2026 16:43:37
If they were getting anything meaningful in the way of penalties for their 115 breaches of PSR, then they'd have had it by now. This will end with a light penalty for small breaches of little consequence, much to the embarrassment of the PL, who are realising they've picked a fight they are roundly losing.

De Zerbi has said to his players he wants his players to get at Everton from the start with courage and intensity, so let’s weather the storm and grow into the game and make sure our counter attacks are fast and precise.

Team for me:-

Pickford
AMN/Tarks/Branthwaite/Myko
Garner/Hackney
George/KDH/Grealish
Barry

I really like this set up as Garner can sit and Hackney can get on the ball and get us moving on the front foot quickly, Jack and George are crucial to our counter attacks and can hopefully pin their full backs in.

Need to have a good go at these and not play to defensively, whilst a point would be ok and keep our unbeaten start going I have a sneaky feeling we can get all 3. Depends on the line up, and I really hope Moyes picks this one, but he probably won’t.

Let’s hope it’s a good weekend for all us blues.

I'd hit them hard from the start! Get amongst them and ruin their confidence. We tried weathering the storm last time, and we were utterly crap. Spurs should be in the Championship, but aren't because we cocked it up when the whole world was watching.
So, smash them from the start and let them know there's no more charity from us.
COYB.

I've had a punt on a win for us and Johnson scoring.

I'm hoping that the "Curse Of The Former Player" rings true today.

12 Sep 2026 20:03:45
Benny, you should have won your bet as Johnson should have scored.

Massively pee'd off he missed that!

It has now become increasingly clear, the TFG are intent on a financial level of support that protects their assets value, insuring the club does not slip into the relegation zone, but will not put in the necessary funding to return the club to a level able to compete for the major Honours.

If this is their stance, then please, sell up, take your profit, and Leave, ASAP.

Unless you have insider knowledge, I would suggest it is not obvious at all. What is obvious by any measure is that TFG (like any good business) are intent on bringing the Club as close to solvency as reasonably possible.

This Window was a good one overall. SCR toward last days was 102%, but within the 30% overshoot. I am guessing that the players out, in the end, brought us back down.

12 Sep 2026 11:49:30
I don’t think anything is increasingly clear other than we are in a lot better place than we were a couple of seasons ago. We are investing in youth, but still adding experience to the squad. Bringing greater investment into the club will only help in the future.

Apart from the fact, they don’t attend games, I really can’t see as they are doing that much wrong. Could be like Forest, I guess, whose owner seems to wake up and think who can I sack today.

12 Sep 2026 12:00:56
We have come million miles since the Moshiri regime, so much better in every way, TFG have been our saviour.

12 Sep 2026 12:13:04
I don't think anything is clear. What TFG have done is stabilise our club. The debts were astronomical and they didn't just vanish.

12 Sep 2026 13:03:54
What is clear is that you have no comprehension of the financial state of the club, nor do you understand the mess that TFG picked up when purchasing us.

We have been in trouble financially since the FM era, splashing out the cash with a blatant disregard for the consequences of spending above our means. TFG, no matter whether you dislike them or not, have put us back on stable ground and, moving forward, we will have money to spend. The new stadium will help pave the way for making cash not just through football but from concerts, rugby etc.

They want outside investment, but a lot of the top clubs have more than one person putting in the money. Running a football club is an expensive thing, long gone are the days that a simple millionaire can invest and keep things ticking over. Even as a billionaire, they need deep pockets to fund a Premier League club.

We could just go back to finding someone as reckless as Moshiri, throwing money at everything and eventually come close to administration again, point deductions and heavy fines.

We were very close to the 30% buffer on the new financial system that the league is using. We had no choice but to bring that down to a more manageable figure otherwise sanctions would eventually follow. Would you prefer that?

I don't care whether the owners come to games or not, that's their prerogative. They have the people they have hired representing them at the match, so I don't see what that has got to do with anything. As long as they are keeping us financially competitive and continue building a better club beyond the football team, then I am happy. Rome wasn't built in a day so let's see where they take us. One thing is certain, it isn't as bad as the FM era and we are pulling away from league sanctions. Surely that is a good thing?

Riquelme still available on a free. Only 48 now. Got his best years ahead of him. Any takers.... anyone?

Well I was 18 when Spurs beat us 10-4 at White Hart Lane, Jimmy Harris scored three for us. You can imagine what we had to go through at school. I wanted us to send Spurs down last season but we went into that game and played defensively.

Tomorrow, for goodness sake, let get after them from the first whistle and trounce them, we have enough attacking talent to do that.
A 4-0 win would erase some of the pain and even better if Barry gets a hat-trick like Jimmy.

Would be nice but it'll be close, they have some decent players and finding their feet, knowing our luck they'll find them tonight! I'm going 2_-1 to us. Coyb.

12 Sep 2026 10:48:02
They do have good players, and will find their feet. Hope it holds off till after our game today. Three
things are happening today: I will certainly be drunk, I will be drunk and miserable, or I will be drunk and happy.

11 Sep 2026 18:23:50
I see Franculino Dju and Simsir have both gone to Trabzonspor late in the window.

Two signings we should have made.

Dju bagged on his debut.

Yes, but that boat has sailed and sunk. Hopefully we get a freebee in before we get an injury! And then see what happens in the next window!

12 Sep 2026 10:51:12
Yeah, but let's keep hammering away to get a response eh!!! Oh s***!!! Y. ?
