Just Read an article from Danny Murphy talking about Arne Slot. When the fan base turn against you and your style of football, you are only delaying the inevitable. Sound Familiar Guys.
04 Jun 2026 11:03:59
It was like that before Moyes left the first time, so why bring him back.
04 Jun 2026 12:54:42
Who gives a fishes xxx about what Danny Murphy or Arne Slot are saying, we are Everton, mate.
04 Jun 2026 16:28:51
Unfortunately, Skylark, TFG are still finding their feet in the Premier League and English football. They will know little of Moyes' last escapades at Everton, other than what they might have been advised, rightly or wrongly. We have to afford them the time to find their feet and hope it's sooner rather than later.
Nothing we can do, mate. My only concern now is picking 7 winners for Worcester on Saturday. One horse does stand out in the 15:33 "Delusionofgrandeur". Ring any bells. :-)
04 Jun 2026 18:45:38
Bit like your post mate. ππππ
04 Jun 2026 20:07:50
So you recognised yourself there, GB. ππππ ππππ

How many signing do we need in preparing for new campaign? IMO 6/9 new players.
Also need to get the loan players signed. I see 5/6 moving on whether thats loan deals or selling
{Ed025's Note - in reality it wont be that many Sean imo mate..
04 Jun 2026 11:45:09
6 I would be happy with that, will be a busy window I hope.
04 Jun 2026 15:55:56
Get six in, then you will need another season to settle them in, everyone knows you can't do much with a new squad. Oh wait, Sunderland?
Would be four at the most I reckon.
05 Jun 2026 03:49:56
Maybe 4 who can slot straight into the team, & another 2 or 3 for squad depth.
03 Jun 2026 20:59:57
No problem with us seeking out talent in the Championship, thatβs where Moyes found Cahill and of course Bowen was a lower league player and before he went to France, Ndyai was playing for Sheffield United. UTFT
03 Jun 2026 17:05:58
We are now being linked with Gabriel Jesus. Thoughts, my fellow Evertonians?
{Ed025's Note - i have only got 1 word to say on that...JESUS!!!!..
03 Jun 2026 18:09:08
Injury prone, big wages, poor finisher, can't play upfront on his own, and was benched at City in favour of playing Phil Foden upfront.
He's a good footballer, but not a good striker.
03 Jun 2026 18:30:26
If we played two up front, big man little man, then maybe. But, as a lone striker, nope.
03 Jun 2026 19:29:40
He is decent from crosses though.
{Ed025's Note - love it Ron..
04 Jun 2026 15:56:40
Nailed on Ron. π
03 Jun 2026 16:52:17
Apparently Newcastle prepared to accept a loss on Wissa.
If he was available for 20/25m, I would definitely take a look at him.
Couldn't have wished for a worse bit of luck when he got injured.
Prior to that he had a couple of solid seasons for Brentford. The lad led the line well for Brentford and can also play in the wide areas.
At 29, knows the league and still has plenty left to give.
03 Jun 2026 17:05:21
A lot of teams would have taken him this time last year BN. All depends how the injuries have affected him, I suppose.
{Ed025's Note - i think he is awful myself JB, but thats just me i suppose mate..
03 Jun 2026 17:18:16
That is the question, isn't it, JB? It was a knee issue, wasn't it?
03 Jun 2026 18:09:42
No thanks.
04 Jun 2026 15:57:54
Not on my Wissa list.
03 Jun 2026 14:52:32
For what it's worth, my brother (a West Brom supporter) watches a lot of Championship football and tells me that Hackney is one of the best if not the best player in the Championship.
03 Jun 2026 15:16:04
Hope we can get him in, good start to the transfer window and nice and early mate.
03 Jun 2026 09:44:44
Agree with yam yam. I stated in an earlier post surrounds himself with older experienced players who in the prem cant cope. The game moves on season after season and the only older players who stand up in the prem are keepers, not centre backs, fullbacks, midfield or any other position. Moyes is like Walter Smith with Gascoigne and Ginola: great players but passed there sell by date when they came to us and a young Moyes came in got shut and got Baines Coleman Piennar Cahill Jagelka all young players.
Now he seems to be Walter Smith2 and we all know what happened to him. Come on tfg sort this nonesence out or the slide back to the bottom is on the cards
02 Jun 2026 17:28:10
Slow off the mark, Again, the man, who might of made a real difference, is just about to sign on the dotted line, is joining the reds
Tfg, seem quite content with all so ran status. I despair, I really did think that they were coming in with with ambition to drive the club up to a genuine level of top flight contenders, but their focus seems to be on Roma, if that's the way it is, the sooner they sell up the better.
02 Jun 2026 17:46:57
I wanted Iraola more than anyone, but I assume he knew about Slot the whole time. Or, at least, was aware it was a possibility, and if you have the choice between our 2 clubs, it's hard to pick Everton.
02 Jun 2026 18:56:54
If you look at the TFG website, they give a good write up on Everton, as they do Roma. I do think that maybe TFG have highlighted a potential manager, but he could be tied up with World Cup duties. I guess we will have to wait until the team is knocked out or the tournament is over.
02 Jun 2026 19:49:54
Well, Palace and Fulham are on the hunt for a new manager as well.
02 Jun 2026 20:05:51
And unfortunately they will both pounce and get top managers who will move them on. Oh dear..... And I was only passing by and popped in hoping DM had gone.
02 Jun 2026 20:21:42
Sorry not yet, pal.
02 Jun 2026 22:09:27
Was never coming here and I suspect a couple of you know that. This is no longer a banter or rumour site. A pity because the eds work extremely hard across multiple forums. I have no doubt of those that post some are very knowledgable but drowned out by nonsense.
03 Jun 2026 07:49:24
Agree there dms, if only Grumpy Toffee was here.
03 Jun 2026 09:53:09
Based on that reply, I guess you would never have expected Ancelotti to have come to us?
03 Jun 2026 11:13:54
So, you want them to sell up because they never went in for a manager that 'might' have made a difference? You do realise that TFG weren't in the market for a new manager don't you?
03 Jun 2026 12:20:46
Clutching at straws nick.
04 Jun 2026 02:05:59
If they weren't in the market for a new manager, this just highlights their lack of ambition.
Moyes has done the stabilising role well, but that is as far as he is able to take us.
{Ed025's Note - a lot think like that AB..
04 Jun 2026 23:51:02
Iraola was never coming to us after the season he had. We would have needed to go after him last season, but it wouldn't have been possible given we had Moyes the job 6 months earlier. Plus, he wouldn't have come at Christmas, given our plight and Bournemouth doing much better than us.
We may as well be saying we want Pep and how disappointed we are he didn't choose us as his next project.
02 Jun 2026 15:41:01
As I understand it, itβs another season loan and then heβs on a free as heβs out of contract in June 2027.
02 Jun 2026 17:31:58
Surely we will have to pay some sort of fee to City for this deal though? Like we did with Gareth Barry.
02 Jun 2026 18:24:09
City only wanted his wages covered last season. Possibly the same deal?
02 Jun 2026 22:18:56
Covered his wages! Didn't know that. For me, it is a no. Good player, but have to play at his pace.
02 Jun 2026 22:29:24
We barely covered half his wages in original deal..
02 Jun 2026 15:18:53
Sorry but I have never been a fan of Tammy Abraham. Had a decent period in the early part of his career and, to me, has been a journey man striker ever since. I personally do not believe he brings anymore than Beto does to this team.
If we are gonna spend a sizeable sum of money on a striker, I want it to be a fairly big upgrade on what we have up top already. What say my fellow Evertonians? I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject.
02 Jun 2026 16:46:22
I watched him a few times for Villa only on TV, but wasn't impressed. Seemed miles off the pace.
Id try and get someone like Solankie, he's not been playing much as coming back from injury, but definitely looks a threat. Never know till you try.
02 Jun 2026 17:28:23
Not a fan of either myself tbh, Solanke has been poor for Spurs, missed loads of chances and his touch and hold up play has regressed since leaving Bournemouth.
