What are we expecting from the game on Saturday then. Expect we'll look to keep it fairly tight. Heart says 1-0, Head says 1-1 or 1-2 more likely.
16 Oct 2026 12:48:06
They are playing well and attacking/midfield options to die for. Our defence is weakened playing a RB that isn't a RB and a LB that isn't a LB, both got caught out easily against a not bad but not good Hull side. If we get a draw I will be made up and not going home if we win 1-0.
{Ed025's Note - they are very good going forward DMS but their defence is far worse than ours mate, our trouble is that our forwards struggle to score but im going for an entertaining 2-2 draw..
16 Oct 2026 13:37:51
We beat them 3-0 last time at home no reason we can't win it again so it's 2-0 tomorrow and up the table we go.
16 Oct 2026 13:42:15
May I be so bold, Ed, as to say that if we scored more of our 'sitters' (i. e., chances where the keepers' only realistic hope is an unsavvy striker) , then we would sail through a lot of these matches?
{Ed025's Note - we would SNTW, unfortunately we have a very poor centre forward who can only be described an Bambi on ice mate..
16 Oct 2026 14:06:17
That's funny, Ed, If you're here all week, I'll buy you a pint ;)
{Ed025's Note - im here every week Lucas mate..
16 Oct 2026 14:24:26
JB I would need a face fan if we didn't keep it tight, mate lol.
17 Oct 2026 02:29:03
I guess one of these matches your 2-0 prediction will come true GB mate and I hope that it is tomorrow. Realistically I doubt if we can stop them from scoring at least one but if we can just convert a few of our chances we may be dancing a happy jig after the game.
The most important thing is not to be scared of them, just treat them like the club that cheated and got away with it.
15 Oct 2026 11:48:02
I see Man City are setting up a "Go Fund Me" page to raise money to pay off their debts.
15 Oct 2026 12:31:28
So they have a sense of humour too lol.
15 Oct 2026 21:22:16
I think he's joking mateπ.
16 Oct 2026 06:45:02
I'm just sitting back and enjoying the manc car crash they even played there part in pumping Liverpool at anfield but then the played a blinder at what ever there ground is called and got pumped by Paris every defeat they suffer now is a brilliant result for everyone won't be long before the Arabs want there ball back and stomp of back to the sand dunes leaving manc back where they belong in the lower divisions playing Gillingham and the likes trying to make the play offs.
16 Oct 2026 07:55:32
And it could have so easily been us.
16 Oct 2026 08:07:45
It is very hard for them to reject our appeal that's certain.
16 Oct 2026 11:55:33
So true gb just look at the state Leicester are in I always think if madison had scored that penalty where we would be now fine margins.

Duncan Ferguson in the running for the Glentoran job in Belfast.
15 Oct 2026 11:31:59
He's just been appointed manager, good luck to him.
15 Oct 2026 12:53:40
Fierce rivalry with Linfield similar to Rangers & Celtic so he knows what he's going into he'll love all that well suited for the job and Belfast is similar to Merseyside so feel at home.
15 Oct 2026 13:50:34
Glen's seem to change managers to often hopefully they're going to give him a good go.
15 Oct 2026 14:03:33
Wouldn't be surprised if dunc becomes a big linfield fan same fan base as rangers what's mad is Glen's fans also follow rangers but they play in green.
16 Oct 2026 20:21:33
Was at his talk few weeks ago said reason he signed for rangers was because of his dad, he wasn't a supporter himself.

Independent regulator says he will resign if there is Political interference (yeah right) . Burnham up in arms over Everton's punishment but made a well timed comment regarding City.
14 Oct 2026 16:32:19
Burnham is an idiot and is not welcome at our club.
14 Oct 2026 20:52:25
Yes, Skylark totally agree.
15 Oct 2026 00:04:42
He s the idiot who will save our county from fascists getting their feet under the table in 10 downing street.
Ps, he's also a great Evertonian.
15 Oct 2026 08:42:31
I hope your being sarcastic, ,
If your not let's just leave it there, we don't need to talk politics on here, its hard enough being an evertonian.
15 Oct 2026 09:30:44
Always blue β what an inflammatory and divisive post.
15 Oct 2026 10:18:20
Pots and kettles SNTW.
15 Oct 2026 12:07:25
Really? Well, first off, Skylark expressed a dislike of one politician, and I agreed. While you wish to label all who disagree as extremists.
15 Oct 2026 13:05:46
We will never agree on politics just let it go boys,
15 Oct 2026 13:35:51
It's true; politics are never a good idea in footy.
15 Oct 2026 23:16:59
Politics is a definate no on a football page. People have different reasons for voting for different parties & throwing insults does nothing except cause problems.
UTFT NSNO π π π.
17 Oct 2026 11:32:39
I'm sure there is a politicalrumours page for all this nonsense.
Let's keep it to footy eh.
14 Oct 2026 14:15:27
I see another red card given to a Brighton player has been rescinded, as the panel no doubt use replays of the event to double check it, why can't goals that were not given because the VAR panel disallowed it, surely if they were actually perfectly legal cannot be given as well as the red cards.
14 Oct 2026 14:31:51
Because we would win the league, and we can't have that GB.
14 Oct 2026 14:37:46
Would love that mate.
14 Oct 2026 15:23:50
Because the season would never finish.
14 Oct 2026 17:11:19
Football is in enough of a mess without deciding results after the event. Just get people who know what the f**k they are doing and not use people who appear to know nothing about the game.
13 Oct 2026 15:09:33
Hiya all just looked down the list of monies club's missed out on due to the corrupt man city accounting. seems Burnley are owed just over 31 million quid, seem to recall that figure somewhere else π€ any clues.
13 Oct 2026 14:24:44
I was listening to Baz's Coffee w/ a Toffee and talking about the league and how it benefits the few at the top. I can't help but think the league should follow a similar set up to American leagues with wage and salary caps. Winning means the players get bonuses, but it doesn't give additional revenue to the actual team.
To me that makes way more sense and when you look at how many different teams have won, I think it would really benefit the fan experience. Obviously, keep the promotion system and avoid "Americanizing" the game, but I do think it could increase competition across the board. Just a thought.
13 Oct 2026 18:09:43
I agree.
13 Oct 2026 19:45:09
Everyone should be able to spend what they want as long as it's not debt on the club if someone rich wants to buy a club and put their own money in they should be allowed to do so as long as it's their money they are spending. If it goes belly up the club is still there rich man loses his money instead of club going into administration.
Any other business anyone can buy and spend what they want why should football be any different. You should only be allowed to borrow a certain amount on the clubs name once that is maxed out it must be the owners own personal money spent that is spent.
13 Oct 2026 20:15:16
We need an even playing field for all teams or one of the top 6 will continue to win,
13 Oct 2026 20:33:49
We still have corrupt Premiership it can't happen with that lot in power.
13 Oct 2026 21:52:52
Take the money away and the corruption follows.
14 Oct 2026 06:54:38
Salary cap and wage cap is the only way also would love to see the 3 foreigner rule come in the amount of british lads that get released after the academy n never make it into the first team after being at a club from the age of 9 is shocking there's enough talented footballers in this country without importing more in 94% of football teams in this country are making a loss every year it's all going to go bang if nothing is done.
14 Oct 2026 09:58:49
At this moment in time with the present system, it is obviously open to abuse.
The outcome with the City appeal hopefully will be decisive, and something akin to the OP's ideal league ensues.
Personally, I think this will need political backing and encouragement.
Sorry for being cynical, but that's hard to imagine right now.
13 Oct 2026 14:19:28
Report saying we missed out on Β£66 million due to City cheating. Would that money have prevented us breaking FFP and receiving a points deduction and having to pay Burnley?
13 Oct 2026 15:45:44
That's a very good point big reg maybe our defence team can use that in our appeal.
13 Oct 2026 22:59:45
What about the interest on top? Didn't the panel calculate the Burnley payment interest at around 30% or something like that?
14 Oct 2026 07:12:21
Defence team? We lose every battle in front of us.
14 Oct 2026 16:43:39
What they should say first up! you were the people that set the date.
