Reports coming out that the club are putting a deal together for Grealish. Hope this tattle is truer than the rest of it.

With you on that vital player for us, mate.

0

29 Jul 2026 21:19:57
And the Celtic RB, I've no idea what he is like.

29 Jul 2026 13:18:18
Jack Grealish has been left out of Man City's squad for their preseason tour. Should we read anything into that?

2

29 Jul 2026 13:35:06
That City don't rate him and he is surplus to requirement..

3

29 Jul 2026 13:43:37
He's still not recovered from injury. Think we need to be looking elsewhere.

3

29 Jul 2026 14:25:16
I agree, Dev. Can only assume the fee would be similar to last year. We can put that money to better use.

2

29 Jul 2026 14:42:32
Really hope we get him back, important player for us.

3

29 Jul 2026 14:54:43
From what im reading, new City manager has worked with him before, and is a lot more keen on him than Pep, loves his attitude and has no immediate plans to move him on, and it sounds like Grealish is very happy to be in amongst it at City again tbh. I don't think this one comes back our way this season.

29 Jul 2026 16:59:35
They are interesting comments from Maresca how he likes to work with all players contracted to the club. This comes from the manager, who, while at Chelsea, sent numerous players to train on their own.

3

29 Jul 2026 17:41:14
BD, I thought he was back in training with City in all honesty.

If we did go back for him, I think it would be a loan deal with a set fee to be paid next year. Very similar deal to the one we made with them for Barry, a good few years ago. The good Barry, not the clown we have up top right now!

I think the new City manager has been pretty cryptic when asked the question.

He hasn't come out and said he either wants him to stay or is prepared to let him leave. That's why I asked the question in the first place. Does it mean he is on his way out of City this summer? If so, I'd take him back all day long.

29 Jul 2026 18:29:48
I think he's doing rehab training still, not full on training. Probably, still be better than what we have, just not sure on the money side, we have so many positions to fill.

29 Jul 2026 18:53:06
He's supposed to have signed for someone else, or close to, on a wage we can't match. Don't know who, but he's not likely to be coming to us by all accounts. Hope it's not true.

0

29 Jul 2026 19:29:08
Not heard that.

29 Jul 2026 20:32:28
If the deal is there, sign it.
Technically, mentally, football brain and hard working better than most players out there.

I'm honestly getting tired of watching the same thing every preโ€‘season and then pretending it'll magically change once the real games start.
Last night was just another reminder of what we've been stuck with under Moyes, the same old dinosaur tactics, the same slow build up, the same "keep it tight and hope for a moment" approach that's been holding us back for years.

You can see it all over here today and I agree with the majority of it. We look predictable, passive, and completely devoid of ideas. Modern football has moved on.
Teams press, rotate, attack with purpose, and use their squad properly. Meanwhile we're still watching rigid shapes, long hoof balls, and players being asked to do jobs that don't suit them.

We desperately need a new manager who comes in with a fresh approach. Someone who actually reshapes the squad, implements a modern style, and gets us on the front foot. I'm sick of watching us sit back and hope for scraps. We've got players who can play attacking football, but under Moyes they're shackled to a system that belongs in another era.

It's time for TFG to be brave. Thank Moyes for what he's done, but move on. Bring in a manager who isn't afraid to evolve, who actually uses tactics suited to today's game, and who gives us something to get excited about again. Right now, we're stuck, and last night proved it yet again.

Just to cheer you up, mate, have just been reading DM has no intention of leaving Everton for the Scottish job.

1

29 Jul 2026 12:26:09
Moyes will be gone by Christmas, form and tactics will demand that decision to be made by TFG by then, that's for sure.

2

29 Jul 2026 12:47:17
Great read that Os, I must say!

Moyes isn't going anywhere, let's face it. It is a shame, as there are still some very good managers out there that would jump at the chance to come and manage us and challenge themselves in the PL.

Christian Ilzer (Hoffenheim)
Claudio Giraldez (Celta Vigo)
Ole Werner (currently without a club, so no compo) .

1

29 Jul 2026 12:50:15
I think we all know that, mate.

0

29 Jul 2026 13:56:10
Claudio Giraldez is a great shout, Bn. I would also throw Inigo Perez (Villareal) into that list too.

I think his eyes have been elsewhere since winning AFCON. He knew damn well there would be huge interest following the trophy and his performances in that tournament. His heart has lost its shade of blue ever since! Best of luck for the future, thanks for claiming to love the club for 2 years, all the best.

imo.

Sorry, my reply above was meant for the Ndiaye post underneath.

29 Jul 2026 15:11:13
I like him, OS, but Villarreal have only just got him from Vallecano, so I think it would be a non-starter, mate.

Here we go again

๐Ÿšจ Iliman Ndiaye has made it known he wants to leave Everton. The winger has rejected 4 new contracts. Ndiaye is open to a move to Al Hilal.

No offer has been made to Everton yet but Ndiayeโ€™s agent is in talks with the Saudi team. Everton donโ€™t want to sell.

Looks like United are after him as well.

0

29 Jul 2026 09:48:24
Just get shut of him and invest the money in some decent players, but don't let mixes choose them or linear cis they are both shute.

2

29 Jul 2026 11:13:47
This is not a surprise to me at all unfortunately. Feared this would be the case. All we can do is get top dollar, asap, and invest. Get it done.

2

29 Jul 2026 17:04:29
I feel the club needs to take control here and state something along the lines of it's ยฃ90m pay it or go away.
Every week, it gets closer to the deadline day, it goes up by ยฃ5m.
So they get on and decide, and we get the time to source players and rebuild.
And sign one of these mythical things they call a right back!

What an enthralling first half of football that was.

Mykolenko needs binning asap. Absolute wage thief that lad is.

28 Jul 2026 21:18:23
Good job he just signed a new contract. ๐Ÿ™„

1

29 Jul 2026 08:15:57
Micky won't be sold. In a couple of years' time he will be approaching the right age to be a first team regular, probably be moved to centre half.

0

29 Jul 2026 09:49:18
Try him as a right back cos he is total shite as a left back.

0

28 Jul 2026 19:28:48
Rohl at RB again tonight ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ or mybe him and Dibling have some chemistry in training.

28 Jul 2026 19:58:24
Sounds like George is off to a lively start, but needs to improve end product.

0

28 Jul 2026 20:37:02
Give them ยฃ100 and wouldn't score in a knocking shop. It's shocking, make Stoke look world class.

0

28 Jul 2026 18:51:23
Man U supposedly interested in Ndiaye with a price quoted as ยฃ70 million, surely heโ€™s worth more than that. Scott from Bournemouth was quoted at ยฃ80 million. Utter madness.

1

28 Jul 2026 20:05:12
Who's actually said we are happy with 70mill. don't think Everton as even mentioned a price

0

29 Jul 2026 05:26:53
This figure is on the BBC Gossip. Looking at valuations of other players, it does seem cheap. Of course, it may be the need for funds.

How Everton can flip the script to sign Nathan Zeze as financial opportunity arises.
Do you know anything about this central defender bluenose?

0

28 Jul 2026 19:34:20
Not sure if this is just a regurgitated rumour, Toffebwoy. We were linked with him whilst he was still at Nantes about 18 months back, I think as a potential replacement for JB when the links to United were strong.

Left-footed CB. A bit in the Saliba mould, whereby he doesn't rely on physicality or aggression, but senses and anticipates danger well. Never rushed, very comfortable in possession, stepping out with the ball or playing through the lines into midfield early.

Solid in the air due to his size, in both boxes, and he has a decent cruising speed like JB.

As good a prospect as he looks to be, I think he is better suited to a team that builds from the back, dominates the ball and plays a highline - we are the complete opposite, mate.

Thanks, Bluenose, you could teach our scouts a thing or two about assessing a player's attributes. What a day, my fellow Evertonians. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ

Pleasure mate.

Al Hilal after Luis Diaz. Looks like Ndiaye is stuck with us.

0

28 Jul 2026 13:39:42
26-year-old Ndiaye to be sold. Murphy (31) and Grealish (31) to come in as his replacements. Sounds about right with Moyes.

1

28 Jul 2026 14:22:49
I'm not sure Ndiaye is off, mate, every time he speaks about Everton he's positive about staying. Hope it's all paper tripe as usual.

3

28 Jul 2026 15:58:03
I wouldn't blame him one bit Ed.

I am not sure GB, I must admit, I was surprised when I heard the Saudi links. Doesn't really make sense at his age and with his desire to play CL football.

The Ndiaye fiasco aside, this window has been lacklustre as per mate.

I appreciate that we have got George and Rohl in but they are only 2 bodies that we had last year, one of which I feel is a waste of money.

Other teams are doing their business quick and efficiently and I am not just talking about incomings. They are shifting out players that are surplus to requirements.

We were all told that we now had the best in class as far as recruitment teams go but it has been another shambles for me mate.

Well it's never over until the fat lady sings. Still, regardless of who we might get in, I can't see them playing in the first game of the season. Our needs have been known for years, and yet we still wait for signings.
