There was also plenty of options he could have bought on yesterday to give us energy and mobility Ed, especially in the centre of the park. Rohl, Armstrong, Tim are all viable options to inject some freshness into games. I am not slating Gana but there is no denying he has looked leggy since he came back after a long tournament.

When he plays, he also seems to take a little bit away from Jimmy's game. KDH didn't have a good game yesterday but Moyes refuses to take off certain players.

{Ed025's Note - i thought Idrissa was one of our better players last night BN but you are right that Moyes has his favourites mate, he wont drop Myko or Tarks and continues to have Jake as a full back when he is our 2nd best centre half, its very frustrating i must say and thats without mentioning the Elephant in the room (or should i say 3 legged Giraffe), we have done well this season in spite of things not being great at home and we will have to see how the summer goes now..

I think the thing what is frustrating most Everton fans and myself included is the transfer recruitment and team selections under moyes now yes granted grealish and kdh have been fantastic buys in my opinion but then flip the coin we buy dibling for 45 million who can't get enough minutes under his belt and we buy Barry who no fault of his own is to inconsistent we can't start beto cause he's iinconsistent that's on our scouting recruitment but moyes his in game management is baffling he starts obrien right back he can't play there then mykelenko has had so many games at left back he is not good enough but we buy aznou to challenge for that role but again he can't get game time that's on moyes heard high reviews of graham in under 21s on here why not put him on the bench an rotate with Barry or even start him the way we set up away is brilliant but we use the same strategy at home and am sorry it just doesn't work we should be trying get the 2nd 3rd goal at home when leading if possible not sit off an let the opposition have the ball I'm grateful for moyes he's got us mid table but these team selections an late substitutes and not tweaking formations during games he's only got himself to blame.

All managers have a level. We have improved from relegation level to mid table level management. So it’s a move forward I guess.

It will never happen but Myoklenko needs dropping against Utd. He has never offered anything going forward but this myth about him being a good defender is starting to p*** me off. How many more examples of sh**e defending do we need to see from him. His positional play is woeful, he switches off every game, he gets dragged across and leaves his man free and ball watches on a consistent basis.

I have been saying for some time now that our back 4 is awful. If it wasn't for Pickford and the woodwork we would be much nearer the bottom of the league. We can all see Myoklenko isn't good enough, that O'brien isn't a RB and that Keane and Tarks are finished but this great manager people go on about can't see it.

He won't play Patterson at RB and move O'brien into the centre, he won't drop Myko for the young lad and he's now had a couple of windows to get us a striker and failed. People need to see him for what he is, thank him for stabilising things and get a proactive tactically aware couch in asap.

Totally agree but will moyes drop him that's the problem mate me personally I would 3 goals and 3 assists in 3 years for a left back who we bought for 23 million Rayan absolutely roasted him down that left flank last night we bought aznou of bayern for 14 million he must be sitting there laughing to himself thinking why did I even join this club wouldn't blame him if he left considering regardless of what mckelenko does he still won't get picked I fought players get picked on form and rotation when a player has had a consistent of bad matches but hey ho it's Everton we buy dibling for 45 mil just sit on the bench just doesn't seem any clear idea with us with transfer recruitment youth academy in game tactics and subs sorry for rant ?.

Just look how good the two full backs were from Bournemouth. They never gave our wide players a look in and were brilliant linking up with the play and penetrating forward at pace, unplayable, that’s the standard we should be aiming for,

What is Moyes seeing that is so bad with Aznou.
Never been given a start so we will never know.
Surely he's got to be worth a try, Moyes must have sanctioned his purchase if he has final say on transfers.


I have said a number of times on here try starting Patterson as he is our only conventional RB now, and play OBrien in central defence.

For me, that should be the last game Barry starts for us, for his sake. The sight of him on the bench with his head in his hands was just sad - it's so incredibly clear that he can't handle the pressure, and just isn't anywhere near the quality needed for this level - and you can say he's paid X amount or that he needs to toughen up, but the reality of life is that if you've not got the mentality, there's no amount of money which can fortify you against embarrassing yourself in front of thousands week-in-week-out.

I just cannot get my head round how Moyes is so willing to barely give a second to players like Aznou or Dibling, claiming they're not ready, but starts Barry every week, even though he clearly isn't either, and never will be. I think it's actually cruel at this point to make him start each game, only to take him off, with his confidence shot, after another absolute horror show.

I think he might be the worst footballer i've ever seen, but I don't envy how he must feel going home every night, regardless of how nice a home he can now afford. Put us and him out his misery, and just put him on the bench again.

Well we have those you see Moyes through rose collared glasses. those who want him out and those in-between. It doesn't rally matter what ay of us think, many more horror shows at home and he will be history.
We play too narrow, most of the action is down the middle, hardly surprising when we have a left-back who is poor and a right-back who is a center-half. We have two full-backs in Patterson and Aznou who can't get a game.

What do we lose by playing those two? In a similar vein, what do Barry and Beto add apart from an occasional goal? What do we lose by giving the kid Graham a chance?
Now O'Brien will miss three games so who plays right-back, my money is on Garner, wasting his talent in mid-field. I hope that I am wrong but frustration is growing, we have made significant progress but it could and should be better.

Thing is Mike, we don't really play down the middle, either. We're the only club in the league i watch and think 'what exactly are they even Trying to do? ', never mind what they actually succeed at.

We don't play down the wings because our fullbacks are useless, but we don't play a single pass on the ground through the middle - we play it to Branthwaite or Tarkowski and they hoof it long to Barry, who loses it - and we get caught on the counter. Again and again.

Criminal Uran mate and it is not like we haven't been aware of it for multiple windows. I completely get doing business in the summer. Better buyers market etc but I can't excuse them not getting 2 fullbacks in Jan. Juanlu Sanchez would have cost around 10m. Then if we were priced out of a LB, get one in on loan.

Any player would be an improvement on Mykolenko. Cannot for the life of me understand how he can get a guaranteed place in the starting 11 every week when he as bad as he is and makes the mistakes that he makes. Aznou must be pulling his hair out.

We were talking of Mid table as progress on the last few years so maybe that’s where we are and it gives us a platform to move forward.

We could just do with a Forward that moves into positions to score and then actually score.

Mykolenko with a baffling piece of defending again. Why isn't he jumping.

Second goal, criminal. After having just conceded. Tarkowski is one of the most overrated defenders I have ever seen. No organisation of his backline and always looking at others to pass blame.

George was garbage tonight. Lost the balls more times than he kept it.

Barry, sitting with his head in his lap on the bench. Grow up. You got hooked because you missed 2 great opportunities to put the game to bed.

Not going into the market for a pair of full backs will cost us Europe this season. Embarrassing decision from all involved.
